I guess the OP better be anonymous. Else, any sorting whatsoever will get him hate and threats.
That's why instead of everyone trying to push their own favorite alts up we should establish some objective criteria for categorizing coins. From the top of my head: * age (reason: newcomers have to prove themselves before they can be taken seriously) * hashrate (reason: measure of community support, albeit questionable. Tricky due to variety of algorithms, PoW/PoS differences etc.) * trade volume at exchanges (reason: measure of market support) * market cap (reason: measure of market support, albeit questionable without significant trade volume) * transaction volume per day (reason: measure of usefulness, but questionable) Ideas, anyone? Excellent Idea!!! Now we just need to turn those DATA POINTS into Some SCORE Age in Days Blockchain active = ###### Days (up to 400 years old) hashrate in MH/s = ####### Mh/s (up to Petabytes) Market Cap in USD thousands$ = ####### (up to billions $) Trade volume has to be standardized to BTC Value of Exchange of Alt Coin = ###### BTC Value of Daily Exchange Trades Transactions per day or per block? = ###### absolute number or avg. trans./block? I would be very interested in working with others on such a tool ... - digeros I would say that the market cap is a really good indicator and maybe the growing rate and age. http://coinmarketcap.com/will try it to see how it works

TagBond has a release of a beta android wallet that works with real currency and crypto coins we add to the system (So far Bitcoin, Litecoin, TagCoin, PrimeCoin, PeerCoin, DigitalCoin but please approach us if you are administrators of other coins, or ask administrators to approach us if you want to see the coin here) We are giving away 200 TagCoins if you download the android app and install it, register using the phone, then sign in using the website at tagbond.com to get your ID number from your dashboard. (We didn't add the ID to the app, will do in the next update tomorrow) I will send it to the online account and you can see it appear in the android wallet app, and if you really want I can then transfer it to an address once the promotion is over. We are doing it manually at the moment until the wallet servers are running. We have a couple of suggestions already and these will go into v4 which will probably be up in a day or so. One suggestion is to click on the TAG logo to refresh the wallet balances, the other is to ask for confirmation before sending. Once you send me your ID, I will send you 1 TAG, send it back to me using the phone and I will send 2 back. First 100 posters on this forum only..:-) http://tagcoin.org/TagCash_V3.0.apkAs an extra feature, whoever has an rfid or NFC tag and binds it their account using an NFC phone gets a bonus of 5 TAG while this promotion is on. Simply login to the app, tap an rfid smart card, nfc tag, to the phone and it will ask to bind it your account ID. Then tell me your ID so I can check and I will send you 5 TAG Installed the android app. ID 4218 they have nice app, i instaled it and did the job

how much CB would you need to hold to be considered as a stake holder?
like 10000? I'm pretty sure there aren't many new people that have that much CB. Even some of the early adopters don't have that much
soon i will have

send them your ID and problem is solved
Exactly. I only recently set up an account with Mt Gox. I sent scanned copies of my documents one one day and in less than 24 hours I was verified. After all of the negative stuff I had read about Gox prior to doing this, this quick verification process was a pleasant surprise. +1

precisely.. i guess bulls trying to talk the price down heh... bitpay is not some amateur rushing out to dump the coins.. a payment processor company like that obviously knows exactly what to do to avoid such scenarios.. that applies to pretty much to any business that deals with demand and supply... Without reading any further then the OP, I may be able to answer. Since BitPay now has the coins, they'll know how to liquidate them in such a way to not effect the price by much. Besides, they have a lot more than this $1M worth of BTC in cold storage as anybody would be able to see via the Block Chain. why whould BITpay dumps the coins and then loose 1/2 his profit?! It is pure logic

i dont see any way that you could calculate that. Dont bother yourself quit now

I feel like we're talking past each other.
You said: dev coin is a good model-- e.g. writer creates something, uses devcoin, 90% goes to them, 10% to devcoin miner.
I don't understand why a writer wouldn't just use dollars-- create something, sell it for dollars, writer keeps 96%, PayPal gets 4% for processing the transaction.
Or Bitcoin: create something, sell it for Bitcoin, writer keeps 99% BitPay gets 1% for processing the transaction (Bitcoin can do this because it is more efficient than PayPal/credit card/traditional fiat, that is where the wealth is created).
Or is there some magical way that using an alt coin creates wealth out of thin air? I don't see it....
BTC transaction will never live on PAYpal cuz they are tcakable. LEts assume that some ppl dont use BTC legal and they buy illegal stuff. They are untraceable

I guess your wife isn't heating your bedroom? maybe he is to young to have wife, or divorced :O Maybe i'm not a HE, LOL I have herd some good points about BE's, I can get 49+ hub for less than 2 coins, Surely this will give off some heat? I know it's only 16GH's but I will put them soloing with my other 5 sticks and run my own lottery. Or a blade might be better as it does not need a computer, I have Ethernet in the room, So this would be easier to run. at a little over 1 coin for 10~GHs, Might need 2, not sure how much heat they give. it says that you are HE on your profile
