I encourage all to get out of BTC and into fiat now while you can.

I will gladly serve as the medium to help you facilitate your flee from impending doom...and I'll purchase them at a more-than-generous rate of $150 per BTC.

If that's not compelling enough, please read it back in a 'cash4gold' television announcer voice.

I'll be awaiting your pm's.

u should get your medicines

Damn .... down to   0.00450000

Where at?  I'm hoarding at that price.  Certainly not at crapsy...it's still over .005 there....0049 at the lowest.

"According to court documents, the agent told Michelhack that he wanted to use the Bitcoins to purchase stolen credit cards online. After that trust-building transaction, Michelhack allegedly agreed to handle a much larger deal: Converting $30,000 in cash into Bitcoins."

there's the real story.

QFT.

ITT: fear mongering and propaganda for no damn reason.

Use bitcoins for 'illegal reasons', and expect the feds to be knocking at your door.  Acquire and sell your bitcoins legitimately, and enjoy early retirement.

Basic rules for life.
925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone is a victim not just the Gox customers on: February 08, 2014, 11:50:33 PM
Unfortunately bitcoin and all alt currencies in general are fighting an uphill battle against corruption/fraud/scams within its own community.  Forget about governments or government regulation.  There's enough scams and corruption on any btc or alt coin forum/website to make a grown man paranoid to the point of schizophrenia.

So no.  I don't place the blame on governments.  That's just the easy cop out excuse.  I place blame on the inherent nature of digital goods and the constant impending risks of hacking and or being defrauded on direct transactions.  Now...compound that with a completely unregulated market NOT overseen by a more powerful entity to ensure things are running in a fair space...and it turns into armaggedon.  And that's where we're at right now.

At any point in time, any or all of these exchanges can pack up their bags and leave with hundreds of millions of dollars of our investments.  And they wouldn't face any recourse.  Why? Because they're unregulated.  Same goes for getting your bitcoins stolen on a scam in the for-sale section in this forum.  Good luck trying to file a police report and having them returned by a 'blockchain cop.'

That is what you call a CATCH 22.

I'd like to think the best of MT Gox and that this is all just a huge misunderstanding and they'll eventually make good on their word, but at this point it's not looking good.  Chances are they could have been doing massive selloffs of the btc before suspending withdrawls and knowing that the price would plummet.

This is the chance we all take with cryptos.  We must put our 'blind faith' into others when it comes to acquiring/trading more of it.  And unfortunately there are a lot more bad guys out there than we'd like to think there are.  And a great number of them lie at the top of the food chain in companies and corporations, just like our own governments.
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VTC] Vertcoin - Adaptive N-factor in Scrypt - No more ASICs on: February 08, 2014, 11:34:24 PM
price is getting lower because of trading bots at cryptsy.

Fuck bots.  And most certainly, fuck Craptsy.

It does seem like they're pushing it lower to hoard, possibly for another huge pump.  In any case, I wish I would have held out longer to scoop up at the $3.50 price point, but I'm still happy getting in at $4.00.  Gotta think medium to long term...we'll all be extremely happy.

In other events, bitcoin and pretty much all alts (except for the ones getting blatantly pumped) are in a free-fall mode right now.  Hope the bleeding stops soon, but the drop to the mid $6xx's doesn't 'feel' good, and I'm certainly apprehensive to buy into any more BTC in the fear it may drop another hundred or so before the big rebound.
927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VTC] Vertcoin - Adaptive N-factor in Scrypt - No more ASICs on: February 08, 2014, 02:29:38 PM
Most people hopped on the maxcoin train including myself, which was extremely profitable. Once that dies down miners will be back Hashrate will go up and so will the price, think of this as an opportunity to buy in low.

I'm convinced.  Bought 200 vtc this morning.  I think this stuff has all the makings to shoot up big again real soon.

5% premine lolllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.

That website obviously took you a good half hour of sheer dedication.

I look for this coin to compete with BTC in less than a week.
930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANALYSIS] Altcoin Investing • Added MaxCoin, MAXCOIN, Maxcoin? [MAX] on: February 08, 2014, 06:01:04 AM
Great read.

Would love to hear your current and future forecasts on vertcoin.  Lot of hype around it, but I find that interesting considering it's not even the first n-algo jane scrypt coin.  But I guess it did market that fact better than any of the other ones.
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Maxcoin is the ENRON of cryptocurrency on: February 08, 2014, 05:42:16 AM
Shouldn't Max be busy hyping up silver going up to $50+ an ounce by the middle of 2013?

Oh wait....
932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [WTS] Last 10,000,000 Doge @ 110 Satoshi per on: February 08, 2014, 03:22:38 AM
Hey listen.  You completely ignored my pm the first time around on your mega doge sell off thread when I offered to buy with escrow.  And you've done the same with other members.

Either you STFU and quit making these useless threads and put your money where your mouth is and sell to me via escrow, and I'll gladly clear your name and give you positive feedback in your trust profile.

'Escrow.ms' is the most trusted escrow member on this forum with zero fees.  So what's it going to be, big boy?  Scam or clear your name?

I received over 500 PM's, sorry your highness that i didn't respond to you.

Oh, so now too busy to check pm's?

So what is it?

You know where I stand now.  I want to buy doge@your asking price.  I have 1.2btc at my disposal.  Let's use user escrow.ms on this forum.

What's the problem?  Don't get cold feet now...this is guaranteed money in your pocket.
933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have $15,000 To invest, which Altcoin should i invest in ? on: February 08, 2014, 01:04:39 AM
The problem with DOGE (which also happens to be one of its pluses), is the sheer amount of daily trade volume it has.  That means, to even see a double in price back to its former high of around 300 satoshis, it's going to take millions and millions of dollars in constant daily trade growth and knocking down ridiculously big sell walls. It was MUCH easier for doge to sky to that 300 barrier back in its early stages when it had a far smaller market cap.    You may see a nice 30-40 percent gain in a month or so, but I wouldn't bet on anything higher than that.

If you're looking for the greatest profit potential, you're going to have to look at the smaller, cheaper coins with smaller market caps.  I'm having trouble determining which of these new coins to invest in myself...but if you're smart you'll look for one that brings something new to the table.

Although VERT was simply a copy of a jane scrypt coin and certainly not the first or last, it played that angle and advertised better than any other n-algo coin...and thus the price exploided.  It had a gimmick.

Most alts are simply just copy pasta with a nicely designed logo.

935  Economy / Service Discussion / BTC withdrawl from coins-e...0 confirmations after 8 hours?!?!?! on: February 07, 2014, 11:22:29 PM
Just wondering if I'm worrying over nothing.  But withdrew over 1btc from my coins-e account last night directly to my wallet.  Instantly showed up in my wallet, but it is now over 8 hours later and there are still ZERO confirmations.  Is this coins-e's fault or did my transaction just get stuck in the chain?  Here's the info on blockchain (estimated time has been bouncing between 2 and 4 minutes since before I went to bed):

No, he won't.

Ignored my pm to do an escrow payment, and I was genuinely interested in buying.

Same b.s. as all his posts 'i've already sold xxx already through pm's...I have zero proof of anything...you must send first...no escrow...yada yada.'

Avoid like the swine flu.
