We're still waiting to hear a response to our inquiry to them. Over a week ago now.
922  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain will be releasing S15 and T15 on 8/11/2018 on: November 06, 2018, 05:10:02 AM
Spec wise we're probably looking at 28-30th/s at 1500ish draw. Looking at market could see a price range from $1.2k-2.2k. Most likely on the low end to compete with the T25.

Also the added tariff is 25%, for a total of 27.6% duty to the US.
923  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Rumor that Bitmain is going belly up! can't pay its chip builder! on: November 06, 2018, 03:11:37 AM
Inspecting their page I couldn't find anything, then I'm not that good at it. I imagine it will be a pre order of some sort, just hope it isn't that long. S15 and T15 so two models next in series I imagine.

929  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: APW5 w/ 821x2 on: November 05, 2018, 06:01:48 PM
Yea, just pulled it out of the box, 14 6-pins.

One is extremely short so would have to use and extension.

Will look into splitters and extensions more.

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812706046&Description=6pin%20splitter&cm_re=6pin_splitter-_-12-706-046-_-Product

That was quick. Thoughts on this?

APW5 has 18 AWG cables so the split with the 16 I would imagine would be beneficial. (I did find the female/male version).

Looks like most extension are 18 AWG so any of those should do.

Looks like the plan killer.

Only 14. thanks for the eyes. I'll have to grab some psu's along with the pdu since ill be retiring the evga's to gpus full time now.

Well, we'll have to pull our S11 pre orders. . . oh wait.. .
932  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: APW5 w/ 821x2 on: November 05, 2018, 01:04:06 AM
Thanks Styme.

My biggest concerns are start up draw as I'm looking at a switched pdu. Currently one we can source is with 16A outlets and is in my price range. I want to be able to start and stop these as needed. I run them -2 already but imagine start up draw is considerably more than HF has posted. Maybe I'm wrong?
933  Bitcoin / Mining support / APW5 w/ 821x2 on: November 05, 2018, 12:14:09 AM
Was interested in running two 821's with an APW5.  Spec looks like it should work, but imagine my pdu might be the bottle neck with just 12A outlets.

Looking at a new PDU with 16A outputs but hoping for some advice before the plunge.

Another way to save on their budget, reduce their cost on power use even if they get a sweet deal.

In your case JK you'll probably be ok with these, for others though these are losers unless you want to buy and hold till bull and be ready to power on. Then that takes risk and speculation that makes me uneasy to think about.

Then outside of stick miners, nice introductory units for hobbyists.

[...]

I have this one one the way

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sipolar-10-Port-USB-2-0-Powered-Hub-with-power-supply-5V-20-Amp-2A-per-port/352409900554?

will post how the units work with this one as this one is not stupid expensive.

I have this usb hub for my 2pacs, work fine. Maybe a zombie or two after a handful of days running.
938  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Questions about mining on: November 04, 2018, 07:44:01 PM
Is this a scam?

Their process sounds fishy, with a high margin for loss or scam.

I don't know seems like I addressed it.

People pay for follows, likes, share, etc. Their process sounds fishy, with a high margin for loss or scam. Good luck.
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer D3 39 $ on: November 04, 2018, 06:09:32 PM
Hopefully there are new units coming. Imagine they're trying to soften the blow to their over forecast on budgeting still.
