Congratulations mate for your achievement.
I am not congratulating you because you bought some fractions of bitcoin;
I am congratulating you because you are happy at what you did;
I sense your level of happiness in buying Bitcoin;
Doing what makes you happy is the key to living a healthy life;
It is fine you understand the market and have decided to be buying with the DCA method;
Do not relent because the reward time(bull run) is near.
922  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will there be a boom again? on: September 15, 2023, 09:42:57 PM
Op, majority of the people will indeed ask you to choose bitcoin over altcoin which is the right thing. But of you have an inclination toward altcoins, it is also good that you divide your portion 70:30 or 60:40 while bitcoin will constitute the larger one, altcoins will take the remaining. It will now be your duty to research for one or two altcoins that you trust will do well in the coming bull run and invest in it. You can use a dollar cost averaging method to invest if your fund is not sufficient to buy once.
So, your answer is gotten before you asked. You cannot expect altcoin to win bitcoin in the bitcoin forum.
923  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for ways to improve my knowledge on cryptocurrency on: September 15, 2023, 09:14:08 PM
Earning should not be your main focus here but to establish your knowledge and skills first. That means you have to do your own diligence to learn all about the forum and its underlying topics that will give you brilliant ideas on how to earn from this forum later on. For now, do not be obsessed with earning profits, as it will eventually happen if you have familiarize everything in the forum that will be easier for you by then to take some risk and enter into jobs or services wherein you can be well compensated.

As a newbie in this community if your sole purpose is start earning from the benefits that the forum provides then I think you might get pretty stuck because your stay here should be first to build yourself in knowledge because that gonna make your stay here every easy and you can't possibly contribute when you have nothing upstairs. My only advice to all newcomers is to first read and build yourself before any other thought.
I was happily reading as a newbie was interested in learning more about bitcoin. But it wasn't long when the newbie said why he was interested to learn about bitcoin. That is he wanted to earn. There is no doubt that anyone with the good knowledge of bitcoin will have to earn but as a newbie the earning shouldn't be bodly pronounced such that people could easily align with your desire and help you to be successful. It doesn’t therefore mean that earning I wrong, but it means that earning comes after learning and for the sanity of the forum, the later shouldn't come before the former.
924  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What motivated you to join the forum? on: September 15, 2023, 08:56:37 PM
some people do not have any kind of motivation that make them to join the forum. They were just browsing the internet and came across the forum.
Some people were also invited by friends to come to the forum and learn about Bitcoin. And this set of people are not also motivated by anything.
Some people joined the forum because they had technical issues in Bitcoin and they were looking for solution and landed in the forum.
Some were looking for cryptocurrency gambling platforms and landed here.. This set of people can be said to be motivated by gambling.
925  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If they have the ability why would they sell? on: September 12, 2023, 12:02:26 PM
What do you have to tell me?
Why are there traders who create trading signal groups and slowly sell signals to their members or charge fees for those who want to join their premium group? because as a trader he knows that it is easier to make money by selling his signals than using signals that are sold for his own trading, because there are still many traders who don't realize this, what they do is the same as bloggers who sell ebooks on how to make money from blogs.
I have joined both free and paid ones, the results are not much different and it could be said that it is stupid to continue to be in this group because the channel owner can make thousands of dollars from fees while members still have to struggle to make a profit, many signals of which don't work well.
Where I am not so certain about this trading signal of a thing is when a particular trader that is using a signal continue to use signal from that group for more than a year and up to two years. This simply shows that the signal that the trader is using is surely bringing profits because someone cannot continue to do an unprofitable business for more than one year. Does this therefore means that there are some signal groups that are very accurate at least gives profit more than losses at the long run.

I have also seen people who join these groups, but do not stay long in there and deassociate themselves.
Could it be that these are the people that are unlucky to make profit from these groups?
Maybe one day everyone will test these signal groups and they will not get new inflows again.
926  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You can get played by anybody on: September 12, 2023, 11:26:30 AM
So are you telling me that if the real Elon Musk or Vitalik account on Twitter ask you to provide your seed phrase to them for some checkups or freebies you will not think twice? Simply because the request is coming from the real Elon or Vitalik account?

Let's use the forum for instance. If I eventually recieve a message from theymos for my private key. I'll assume he was referring to my address because I don't have it on my profile, I will send him my address and sit back to see how much will be paid into it Grin

It's amazing how different the information is here on the forum and on social networks. People on social networks are zombies; what the crowd does is force every greedy individual user to be tempted and rush to not miss the train.
You have been in this forum for many years before I registered as a newbie. From my newbie days till today, I can say that I am 10x wiser than I used to be before joining this forum. If I should claim x10 wiser, you should be x50 wiser. No matter how intelligent people on social media may pose to be, not many of them are wise. There is a special kind of exposure this forum gives that they lack.
927  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it too late to seek a new beginning? on: September 12, 2023, 10:59:23 AM
Free tokens can't always make you money, there are certain obstacles that make you feel disappointed when the free tokens you get from Bounty don't have a price. Don't waste time on something that is not profitable, focus on things that can increase your knowledge while on the forum. Read all threads that can broaden your insight, then start contributing to the forum with quality posts to speed up the process of ranking up your account.
Those tokens worth it during the early days of cryptocurrency. I learnt that it gave so many people good money and made some millionaires. But time flies and things changes. Most of those tokens no longer worth it when shared to the participants. Don't call it free token because the bounty hunters worked for it and the token is their reward.

Op, you do not need the permission of anyone who introduced you here to study bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. If the person constantly monitors your account, you can create another account for the purpose of joining the forum conversation. Do not allow anyone to limit you. Your English is connected, so you can make good posts.
928  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin forum app store on: September 11, 2023, 11:47:51 PM
When I was new to this forum, I had wanted an app version of the forum. I also wanted to witness the new forum software because the graphics of this forum seems echaic to me. But with time, I understood the reason why some things are not changed and why they remain they way they are.

I am used to this forum such that I will not consider to download any application into my phone or computer in order to be here.
929  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Heartwarming as Binance donates $3 Million in BNB to it's users in Morocco on: September 11, 2023, 11:33:31 PM
This is a nice gesture by CZ and Binance. There is no doubt, in a period like this is when companies give back to the community that made them. I have also seen a mansion circulating in social media about Ronaldo and aiding Morocco. I do not actually know much about it

For Moroccan users who receive these donations but are unimpacted by the earthquake, we ask them to pass the funds on to those most in need.”
How viable will this work? The good citizens who are not impacted but recieved the funds will use the funds appropriately. How about the bad ones who will not even disclose to anyone that they recieved any fund from Binance?
930  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why do members switch campaigns always? on: September 11, 2023, 11:16:46 PM
Why do members switch campaigns always?

Why do people change jobs?
  • For a better pay
  • For job security
The above two works together and it is hard for someone to choose, especially when loyalty is not attached. Jump to a higher paying campaign that might end next month or remain in your present campaign that may stay till next year.
Other reasons include;
  • Number of posts required to be made
  • Permitted areas to make post
  • The leniency or strictness of the campaign manager
  • The promptness of pay
Among others.
931  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Binance and multiple citizenship on: September 11, 2023, 10:58:57 PM
I think there wont be any issues, if you change your profile and KYC on the current account, just contact with Binance to update that, and I think Binance wont have any issues updating your details too, but its not just about the passport, you have to reside in a country where Binance is allowed too, like if you tell them that you have moved to that country, then you would also need address verification document too, no need for a new account as it can make you look suspicious, simply contact with support with relative documents to update your profile and KYC.
According to Op, let's say country A where he resides and whose IP and documents he used for KYC no longer welcome Binance in their country. This should mean that if Binance geo blocked the country, there is nothing that can be done but if the country is accessible at the risk of the customer and the victim uses VPN, the Binance support might not have problem merging the account unless the offence of multiple accounting which is also another problem.
932  Other / Meta / Re: Trust Feature idea: give DT1 the ability to remove specific feedbacks from DT on: September 11, 2023, 10:31:02 PM
The frustrating reality would be the possibility of having hundreds of pieces of feedback down-voted by certain members, that would require up-voting by others in order to remain, which sounds like an exhausting task for DT1 members.

It seems that it is you that is thinking this in a vague way.
Take it that I feel that I am u justly tagged by a DT1, I'll raise a judgement flag for the case and link the thread that lead to my tag. If I should have the support of 5 DT members or 10 DT members as the admin will approve, the red tag would be removed and the DT score of the one who left the tag will drop. But if I don't have enough DT support, the tag remains.
933  Other / Meta / Re: Too Many Forum Boards - Outdated Threads - Let's Delete Boards on: September 11, 2023, 10:13:44 PM
Op rather made a good suggestion but I am surprised at the level of criticism on Op. His suggestion must have come without flaws, which means it needs to be refined and not to be wholly criticised.
According to o_e_l_e_o, instead of deleting such barely used boards, it could be locked permanently. But on a second thought, why lock when no one uses them. If adding more boards will be heavy and lag the forum, the older and outaded ones should be deleted but if allowing old boards will not prevent the birth of new boards, they should be allowed.
The new forum software is a topic for another day.
934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bnb after next 5years on: September 11, 2023, 09:42:33 PM
I imagine over the next 5 years BNB could do well, but for the near-term, maybe around the next year or so, I only see it going lower. This is the BNB/BTC chart and personally I see another 50-60% drop...

We can consider this chart differently, i.e. now BNB is at its support level and if it holds, then we will be able to see a further increase in the price of BNB in relation to Bitcoin. But all this will ultimately depend on the general state of the cryptocurrency market and the state of the global economy.

No matter how promising any altcoin is, I can never consider it for a long term investment such as 5yrs. 5yrs is alot of year and many things can happen before then. Even I cannot hold the mighty bitcoin for 5yrs. If I hold and meet a bull run, I sell and start the circle again. If anyone is to invest in the altcoins, it should be for bull run purposes and nothing more.
If you buy bnb now and it pumps to 1k+ in the bull run, you withdraw and wait for it to fall and buy back to wait for another bull run, you will definitely make more money than the person that bought and left it for consecutive bull runs.
935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Monero so unpopular? on: September 11, 2023, 09:11:28 PM
Privacy is on two edged sword. To some extent privacy is needed by everyone because making public your private life is a kind of committing suicide because this data of yours that ought to be private but made public could be used against you anytime, either by the government officials or by the criminals.

In the other hand privacy is also being abused to a very large extent to the detriment of the people and the society. This is the reason a very good project like Monero is suffering to prosper in the cryptocurrency industry. Different governments of the world are against such privacy coins and also they find the way to hunt them down and because of this, exchanges especially centralized ones are afraid of listing such coins.

But then privacy cannot be totally lost. We therefore have the believe that as long as there are private people in the world, privacy coins cannot totally be evicted.
936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are trading bots worth using in the cryptocurrency trading? on: September 11, 2023, 08:46:08 PM
Trading itself is risky, but then if you are not the one that is making the trading decision and controlling the market according to your experience you are risking more compared to the original risk that trading offers.

If you understood me very well. It is better you learn how to trade by yourself and if there is need to use a bot it is to augment your trading strategy and to make some money even when you are off the screen .

Recently, with the trend of trading bots, it has become as if the boots has totally replaced the activity of humans in trading, which is very dangerous if the trend continues. It is just like copy trading, if another is somewhere making all the decisions for you, you can blow up your account at any time and no one will be liable for your loss.
937  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading bots... do they work? on: September 10, 2023, 11:54:39 PM
Looking to get some real-world feedback on trading bots, the pros, the cons and the most important question... do they work?

So please, only comment below if you're actively using trading bots and how successful they are.
Some bots are really working that you can gain profit from your trades. If you use bot in trading, you don't have to spend time to analyze the market to be able to trade, the bot will do it for you. Trading bot has no emotion since most traders fail because of their emotions. So if you are having a hard time to control your emotions, this is good for you — I think these are the pros. The cons of using bot is that you can't guarantee that in the long run you will become profitable since bot rely only on the program not on the market movement.
I have heard the idea of bot as a computer program that has understood the nature of the market and will therefore not fail to deliver profits. But in a real sense that is not what bots stand for. I thinks bots were developed to aid humans in trading, such that when you have mastered your strategies over time and trusted them, you may decide to write a computer program of your trusted strategy to keep trading for you for the few time you will be off the screen.
But many people have misunderstood this and employed bots for outright trading business even when the people behind the bot don't know how to trade. If you are doing this, losses are inevitable. I am speaking from experience. For you to profit with both, you must understand the market and how to maneuver the bot
938  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Opinion Piece. Please share your Opinion on Crypto trading Questions on: September 10, 2023, 11:36:15 PM

2. Do you only trade Bitcoin or you trade Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies?
Many of the day traders do not trade bitcoin pair. Altcoins make better movements than the bitcoin and it is the movements that brings profit. So, majorly altcoins are traded more than BTC.

3. How many trading strategies do you use and which is your favorite?
This question should not have a specific answer. No one uses only one strategy. Infact, strategies are tested against the other to validate it.

4. As a crypto trader, do you focus on technical analysis only, fundamental analysis only or you rely on a combination of both to informed trading decisions?
Combination of both. Before now I thought technical has it all but now I have learnt the power of fundamentals and respect it even more than I respect technical. But the knowledge of both will make you outstanding.

5. As a crypto trader what is your favorite crypto exchange you use for trading?
Any exchange that you will be sure to meet tomorrow when coming to trade again.
939  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: KYC matter? on: September 10, 2023, 11:05:37 PM
What are the repercussions of failing to complete KYC on an exchange?
Unfortunately you only get to feel/know the repercussions of failing KYC on a CEX if you hold funds on the exchange & try to withdraw,  and the stupid thing about KYC is these guys will never bother you when depositing funds on their platform not until its time to take money out Roll Eyes and funny thing is that very few of us choose to go for KYC before the deposit which needs to change !!

If the customer has not deposited any money in the CEX, I think there is no repercussions at all. But if funds is deposited already, that is where you have fell into their trap completely. This also happens in the casinos and that is how the funds of many gamblers go. They will not find it important to complete KYC on registering the account, they will first deposit and start gambling. As you have noted, no one will prevent you from depositing because of inability to complete kyc. They will allow you deposit, but withdrawal will be the problem.

Some exchanges are even dubious such that they will increase the difficulty of the KYC when they notice you have already deposited. This is an attempt to confiscate your fund. So, it is advisable to complete KYC before using an exchange.
940  Economy / Economics / Re: Building wealth it's not just one time Luck on: September 09, 2023, 02:16:23 PM
Building wealth is always a long run, doesn't matter what industry you are in, not only crypto, in any business. The only way to be wealthy in a quicktime is by over-exploiting, and violating ethics. Many people could became rich, but only small amount of those rich people could become wealthy, a one-time luck could get you 50 Million, but keep those money and use it to build wealth is something that required a lot more than luck.
Building wealth is one of the most difficult things to do. Most of the wealthy people you see today are the ones that inherited their wealth from their parents. This generation has the ability to make money, but the ability to multiply that money is where the problem lies. In order to have a generational wealth there should be able to have a consistent kind of investment over the years. This will no doubt open the door of generational wealth. When it is time for investment, invest only in things that you will not likely lose your money. Money is hard to earn but easy to lose. Avoid any kind of investment that will make you to lose money and and curtail your expenses. This is the way to building wealth.
