Value of Bitcoin Surges, Emerging From a Lull in Interesthttp://gadgets.ndtv.com/internet/news/value-of-bitcoin-surges-emerging-from-a-lull-in-interest-761863After a long period of quiet, the price of the virtual currency Bitcoin is surging again as signs of interest from China and Wall Street have helped kick off a new speculative frenzy.
The price of a single Bitcoin has been steadily rising in recent weeks. On Wednesday, it spiked particularly sharply, rising above $500 (roughly Rs. 33,000) on some exchanges, and bringing the value of a single coin up over 100 percent from a month ago. By the end of Wednesday, the price had fallen back closer to $400 (roughly Rs. 26,000).
The recent rally has been the biggest since the currency entered a sustained decline after the collapse of what was once the biggest Bitcoin exchange, Mt. Gox, in early 2014. That incident - and the use of Bitcoin for drug sales - led many people to write off the virtual money as a passing fad.

"We welcome the decision by GreenCoinX to establish its operations in the Isle of Man which reinforces our position as leading the way in the digital currency sector," said the Isle of Man Chief Minister Allan Bell MHK.
He said the Isle of Man is one of the first countries to have amended legislation to apply to digital currency, thereby "helping to protect consumers and keep out crime". GreenCoinX was founded in 2012 by Nilam Doctor, who developed identifiable digital currency which is traceable and has inbuilt security system and is thus a major improvement on the traditional bitcoin

Bitcoin Records Its Best Month Since May 2014http://gadgets.ndtv.com/internet/news/bitcoin-records-its-best-month-since-may-2014-759646 Bitcoin has just recorded its best month since May 2014, stealing the spotlight away from the blockchain technology that underpins it and which has been attracting investment from almost every major bank in the world.
An investor in Bitcoin at the start of October would have enjoyed a return of over 36 percent, dwarfing the return of about 2 percent that the dollar racked up for its holders.
The web-based currency surged to its highest this year on Friday, hitting $334.05 (roughly Rs. 22,000) on the Bitstamp exchange on its ninth successive day of gains, its best run in over two years.

Bhai Logon, I have been hearing a lot about malleated transactions recently. I was dumbfounded when I saw that one of my transactions here was shown as missing, although the coins were deducted from my wallet. I found out later that a malleated transactions was confirmed. I have been trying to read up on malleated transactions. What I understand is 1) There are some portions of the transaction broadcast (specifically the signature portion) which can be modified without the miners rejecting the transaction 2) This is to do with the low s/high s value used in the signature I am a bit technically challenged and would like some help / pointers on how I can malleate a transaction.

Online Terror Funding on the Rise, FATF Warns Governmentshttp://www.newindianexpress.com/nation/Online-Terror-Funding-on-the-Rise-FATF-Warns-Governments/2015/10/24/article3094754.eceThe Financial Action Task Force (FATF) ha s warned governments that crowd-funding, with e-wallets, virtual currency bitcoin, online payment systems such as PayPal, CashU, and social media networks are fast becoming fundraising spaces for terrorist outfits.
Terrorist outfits are suspected to be using largescale crowd-funding to generate money to undertake attacks. The FATF, in its latest report, “Emerging Terrorist Financing Risks”, noted that several cases indicated that the donors did not know the end use of the collected funds. The new trend may replace traditional terror-financing methods like private donations, use of charity organisations, fund transfers and hawala.

I just stumbled upon a question in Yahoo answers. A guy asked the following question... I have Rs. 50 lacs for investment. i want to generate 50 to 60 k per month or 12 to 15 % return annually.?Of course, the best answer chosen did not excite me. But, just look at the last but one answer. What if the guy followed the last but one advice, that got one downvote ? https://in.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20121212021642AAx9KZXThat was bad investment advice. I agree with the down vote. Investment advice should depend on the needs of the investor.

It is important that links to profiles of defaulters are given. So I have updated the OP with links below. It is also important to get somebody from default trust on board, to ensure that defaulters are negative repped quickly. I noticed that a few of the defaulters have not been negative repped.
