The match was already in Afghanistan's favor during the first half of the second innings, but they didn't take the advantage of that. While, Bangladesh deserved this victory due to the exceptional performance of their middle-order. The partnership of 73 runs between Towhid Hridoy and Shamim Hossain played an important role to get the win. In the 20th over, Karim Janat nearly clinched the match with a hat-trick, but Shoriful Islam's boundary in the last over turned the tables and helped Bangladesh win first T20I in last over drama. It's sad to see Karim hat trick went in vain. After performing well in ODI series, Afghanistan had a good start of T20 series also. West Indies cricket is at its worst. The management and the cricket board should make the team better. I don't know how they'll generate revenue conducting a match. There is no audience on the ground. If the same match have been played in India, BCCI could've made good revenue out of the match tickets. I don't know whether the interest of people have declined or this is just because it is a test match.
I was expecting something from son of Shivnarine Chanderpaul i.e. Tagenarine Chanderpaul but he scored only 12 & 7 in both innings. After scoring only 150 in first innings West indies should have scored some respectable score in second innings but nothing such happened in second innings. What has happened to the West Indies cricket team? It looks like an expired team. This poor batting by West Indies is much expected from this current team which is in such bad shape. They no longer have good enough players to give a challenge to any opposition. This match doesn’t even make sense. West Indies has failed to perform against better teams.
West Indies should have scored around 250 runs. Even son of great Shivnarine Chanderpaul is not able to rescue West Indies batting from collapsing. India already have scored 105 runs without losing any single wicket and they trail by 45 runs at the moment. 8 wickets for Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin, not much for Indian pacers in first innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored fifty in his first test appearance its golden opportunity for him to score a hundred. |
