Unfortunate that you lost the winnings. Good luck with chasing the multiplier. It's fun although many of you are keeping the multiplier a secret.

Thank you very much! No worries because I know it's part of the game. It's all about win and lose.

In the future, we need to improve our emotions even more when we want to multiply our winnings.
I often experience losses when multiplying because I am too obsessed with getting more until I end up losing like the experience you described.
Usually, in the next match we can already understand well the strategy we will apply.
What match are we talking about exactly? I did not place any bets on sports. I was playing Crash game and I was hunting for my desired multiplier. Yeah, Sometimes we lose because we think we may get more lucky and win more. But, luck always does not prefer us. But as you know, gambling is fun and it's all about win and lose. You have learned things from your previous session.

I had tried to chase 500x but failed. When I stopped, after 3 more rounds, it hit 1000x  Cry How painful it is lol.

Edit- Again lol. Just given up and it hit 500x  Cry
This sucks bro. I had a similar experience. I was placing manual bets and somehow I missed one bet and that bet hit the max multiplier. It seems I won't be able to stay in the top five with my current multiplier. LOL.
922  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: October 14, 2023, 02:06:18 AM
A business requires too much dedication and effort to make it successful. I guess I have posted this in this thread before but I am saying it again. There a lot of rich kids whose dad has billions of dollars but their kids can't make a start-up. Even if they start, most of their start-up fails. The reason is they are not dedicated enough to their business. They want to run their business simply with their money. Only money cannot make everyone successful. The safer option here is Real estate as you need a few caretakers and monitor your business. The 2nd easiest is cryptocurrency even though it's volatile. If you are afraid of other currencies, go for Bitcoin. It will give you a good return in the long run.
All three of them take dedication and effort. If you are just going to leave your property in the hands of other people then you are taking a large risk, especially if you end up having no idea what is going on. The same thing applies to cryptocurrency as not updating yourself on the latest changes about the economy and the system may affect your investment. To put it simply each of the three requires different scales of effort and dedication depending on the risk an individual is willing to take in order to make it work and actually make a profit from it. Additionally, the three of them also have their own significant risks that we should know and consider before making a decision. At the end of the day, our decision relies on how much we are willing to risk as well as how dedicated we plan to be.

I understand your point. We were talking about which is easier compared to others and why we like one over others. Those are my personal opinions based on my work habits and how I like to work. Some people might like public functions which I don't like at all. Business is best for them. I always like to work alone as I always feel good working alone. If you talk about management, I love to observe things and tell my workers which ones they should improve.

When It comes to real estate, Once you develop the structure, all you need is to maintain your property which should not require a lot of work. I see this business as the easiest one compared to the one one. Crypto will be my 2nd choice as I spend a lot of time in front of my computer.
923  Economy / Economics / Re: Women are more economical than men. on: October 14, 2023, 01:57:53 AM
I am witnessing 2 families whose economy depends on the wife instead of the husband, one family is near my house and the other is my cousin's family. Both husbands are housewives and take care of the children, while the two wives are the economic breadwinners of the family.
Not in every family, the man will be the breadwinner, the one who earns and spends everything. And that doesn't mean we look down on men who take care of the housework for their families. What's more interesting is the two families I'm talking about, they are very happy families and have no quarrels like my family Cheesy. There is no discrimination between wives and husbands.

Most of the time when women make money for their family understand the importance of money. I am getting out of the topic, but I think I should speak about it. If a man has limited earnings and does not make enough money to live, he has to choose cheap things so he can live his life. Sometimes family members don't want to understand these things. Suppose, I make $1000 a month and my expenses are around 950-1000 per month as well. Now my wife asking for a vacation trip but I was unable to save money for the trip. Or let's say my kid demands a bike but I do not have enough money. Now, If I am unable to buy these things for them, sometimes family members blame us because it's our responsibility to take care of them and give them what they want. But, when a women makes money, she understand how hard it is to maintain the family needs with such tight budget.
924  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Before and after bull run. on: October 13, 2023, 10:07:08 AM
The most important thing is not to invest that much money that may damage your health. Do not invest that much money that you cannot afford to lose. Usually bull run does not affect negatively. So, I am not sure why are you suggesting people keep in touch with friends who have invested in crypto. If someone invests the amount that they cannot afford to lose, they should not invest that much money. If you mean they invest in the bull run and then they lose their investment after the bull run, that's a good concern. But if you know your friends or relatives invested in crypto, you should ask them to take profit during the bull run.
925  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: October 13, 2023, 09:31:59 AM
I think business should be my first pick before others. Although nothing is guaranteed in this world but each come with lesser risk than each other. The volatility of. Crypto can easy make you lose all your money in crypto especially if being too greedy.

A business requires too much dedication and effort to make it successful. I guess I have posted this in this thread before but I am saying it again. 926  Economy / Economics / Re: Women are more economical than men. on: October 13, 2023, 09:06:02 AM
Before answering this question, I will like to ask some few vital questions, as follows;
1. Who the children school fees and house rent? Men or Women... Men, right?
2. Who provides food for the family?.. Men, right?
3. Who pays for most of the major bills in the family?.. Men, right?
So if all these are been done by men, then how do you expect him to be economical when he has to pay for school fees, house rent, provide food for the family and pay major bills. And that doesn't mean I disagree with the fact, as women are created to be caregiver and home builder/manager.

Surely, You haven't seen a family where women earn most of their income. You are talking about most families but not all families. Men do not always make money. Sometimes, his wife works, and the husband takes care of their kids. Sometimes, both of them work and make money for their family. So, when most of the money comes from a woman, who pays the bills?

It just varies from family to another family. Maybe in your family, you make money; maybe I earn money for my family. But, it does not apply to every family. If you talk like this, you are not on the right path. You have to see both sides.
927  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keep my family in your prayer! on: October 13, 2023, 08:58:40 AM
I want you to know that everything will be alright, just make sure your family have the best medical attention and also yourself too.

Thank you very much. I am trying my best, but sometimes I get emotional when I see my kid can't stop crying because of the pain.

as for your family, i wish them quick recovery, i hope nature will finds you with mercy and grant you the opportunity of being a car owner one day, but when such time comes, don't overspeed.

Thank you. Recovery is what I want at this moment. If you talk about owning a car, I could buy one if I want. But I never dreamed of being a car owner. But I always has dreamed of owning a sports bike which I have right now. The problem is, that Bike is dangerous for family trips. Thanks for your words!

I hope you find the strength to pull through this and not get emotional and make a mistake. Things will get better, just dont lose hope.
Will pray for you and your family! Keep us posted.

These words help get the strength. Sometimes we have no one to at least say good luck. Yesterday a rickshaw driver helped me a lot who is just a random person was. Thanks!

929  Other / Off-topic / Keep my family in your prayer! on: October 13, 2023, 08:18:09 AM
I don't know if it is right to share personal things here. Yesterday, I completed seven years of marriage. And on our wedding anniversary, I went for a bike ride with my family today. On the way back home, the bike fell on a broken part of a culvert, causing the bike to jolt and my wife and my 2-year-old baby to fall off the back of the bike onto the road. The bike was at a speed of 60+, and many parts of their body were injured. My 2-year-old daughter is in a lot of pain. The skin is torn in many parts of the body. I was able to control the bike, and I did not fall off it. Now I ‍am thinking about why I didn't fall, even if they didn't get hurt; I don't know how much people can bear such a smeared body in front of their eyes and the crying of the wife and child. But I can't take it. I feel very guilty. I could have ridden slower; maybe it wouldn't have happened. Again and again, it seems that God could have given me these injuries and kept them well.

I am a kinda religious person which is why I believe people's prayers work! All I am looking for is your prayer for my family. Keep my family in your prayers, please.

No need to wonder about my best, it is not big and I believe you will be able to beat it.
I said it just to motivate you guys to hunt your best so it will be more challenging and to make Little Mouse and Coins.game to open the other rounds in the near future.

I got a good multiplier and got my deposit back. But I wanted to multiply my winnings, and unfortunately, I lost them in the end. I am thinking of making another deposit and getting my desired multiplier.

So, you didn't hit the maximum?

No, I did not hit the maximum. I confirmed it already so others can be relieved. I guess Panjul did not hit maximum as well because he said I would be able to chase his multiplier. So, I guess it's not maximum.

Most of these exchanges warn their users not to contact the counterparty outside of the platform. Unfortunately, I also use these exchanges and I was also a victim of these scam attempts. I am not sure if Victim is the correct word because they were not able to scam me. Once I played a sell order and the scammer sent me a fake message that I received the funds. But when I checked my account, I noticed there was nothing. I went ahead and reported it and the scammer was banned from the platform. But the scammer tried his best to fool me. He even threaten me that he will report my account and the platform will ban me. But he was banned instead.

Good day everyone, I'm still a newbie to this forum and I'm yet to understand how the platform works, I'd like to get helpful tips on how to get started, so I'm asking the senior members of the forum for assistance.

You have created an account and already created a thread in an appropriate section. So, I believe you already started to understand how it works. I am sure you will understand almost everything in a couple of weeks if you stay active in the forum. Now if you want some suggestions: I will suggest you read more and more. Don't write too many posts and do not create unnecessary threads if not needed. Dig out threads and read more to know things and get familiar with the forum. The only way to gather knowledge is to explore the forum and ask questions only when you do not understand something.

Cool

935  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum on debian 12 on: October 12, 2023, 12:36:06 AM
I suggest instead of changing your system-wide installation sources, you better manually install Electrum with its own installation tutorial. Go to https://electrum.org/#download, on "Installation from Python sources" go ahead with "Install with PIP:"

Code:
 sudo apt-get install python3-pyqt5 libsecp256k1-dev python3-cryptography python3-setuptools python3-pip
 wget https://download.electrum.org/4.4.6/Electrum-4.4.6.tar.gz
 wget https://download.electrum.org/4.4.6/Electrum-4.4.6.tar.gz.asc
 gpg --verify Electrum-4.4.6.tar.gz.asc
 python3 -m pip install --user Electrum-4.4.6.tar.gz
-snip-

I don't know what's wrong with my system. But I always end up getting this error. See the image below, please.

If I understand correctly, the problem is with Python. I searched with this error message on the internet and I got a few results. One answer is "Your distribution is trying to protect you against mixing apt provided packages and pip provided packages. Mixing two package managers (apt and pip here) is always a bad idea and the source of many issues.

PEP 668 is a way for distributions to explicitly tell users to avoid falling into this pitfall. Your distribution told you three solutions in the message, but only the 2nd one applies cleanly to your use case"

Using apt install python3-xxx. It does not cleanly apply for you as you're having a requirements.txt, not a single dependency. It would work if you have only a few requirements in the file and can do it manually for each, like apt install python3-xxx python3-yyy python3-zzz. In this case there's no weird mixing of package managers: you installed python3 using apt, you're installing your dependencies using apt: no surprises.
Using a venv: python3 -m venv .venv then source .venv/bin/activate, then pip install -r requirements.txt. In this case the installation is contained inside the .venv directory: no mixing of what apt does and what pip does, no surprises.
Using pipx which does not cleanly apply to your case, pipx is good to install and use a program, like pipx install black, but here you need to install libraries listed in a requirement file, not a program.

There's another way, that I often use myself because I often need multiple different Python versions:

Use a Python not provided by your distribution, so it does not mess with apt installed things and does not adopt PEP 668. I often compile many Python interpreters myself using a short bash function which use a --prefix=~/.local/, for testing purposes. With those Pythons I use either a venv either a good old pip install, in this case pip will install it in ~/.local/, again no clash between apt and pip, no bad surprises.

Not sure If I understood anything.

Should I post my entry to make them hunt my best multiplier now LOL.

Now I am wondering what is your hit. Should I post my entry so you and others can start chasing for my multiplier?  Wink
Or should I leave everyone in the middle of the ocean?  Cheesy Cheesy If you are confident with your multiplier, just have a coffee and chill. I will post mine at the last minute even if I see I am in the 6th position Tongue Tongue

Just kidding. I was too busy with my operating system as I wanted to switch to the Linux operating system and I messed up with my Windows. Later I formatted my drives, and then I managed to dual-boot my system. I have a hit in my hand, and I am trying to hit bigger than that.

Have you tried running
Code:
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
respectively?

That should install available upgrades of all packages currently installed on your system, including Electrum.

I tried this right now. I am still in an older version of Electrum.

Code:
 sudo apt-get install python3-pyqt5 libsecp256k1-dev python3-cryptography python3-setuptools python3-pip
 wget https://download.electrum.org/4.4.6/Electrum-4.4.6.tar.gz
 wget https://download.electrum.org/4.4.6/Electrum-4.4.6.tar.gz.asc
 gpg --verify Electrum-4.4.6.tar.gz.asc
 python3 -m pip install --user Electrum-4.4.6.tar.gz

Even though I tried this before, Now I tried it again and ended up with an error:

Code:
error: externally-managed-environment

× This environment is externally managed
╰─> To install Python packages system-wide, try apt install
python3-xyz, where xyz is the package you are trying to
    install.

If you wish to install a non-Debian-packaged Python package,
    create a virtual environment using python3 -m venv path/to/venv.
Then use path/to/venv/bin/python and path/to/venv/bin/pip. Make
    sure you have python3-full installed.

If you wish to install a non-Debian packaged Python application,
it may be easiest to use pipx install xyz, which will manage a
virtual environment for you. Make sure you have pipx installed.

    See /usr/share/doc/python3.11/README.venv for more information.

note: If you believe this is a mistake, please contact your Python installation or OS distribution provider. You can override this, at the risk of breaking your Python installation or OS, by passing --break-system-packages.
hint: See PEP 668 for the detailed specification.

-snip-
I can run the .Appimage which I downloaded from Electrum.org, but that does not install Electrum on my system. It just runs the software and does not create a desktop icon in the menu.
Have you tried installing Electrum from Python sources?

Yes, I did I got an error. Check the above, please. I got the same error.

As far as I remember, this is not only on Debian; even on Ubuntu software in 2020, the Electrum version listed there is also outdated.

This is interesting. I don't know how to check if the latest version is available on the Debian server or not. But, thanks for the confirmation. Thanks to vv181 as well. The version I am using is Electrum 4.3.4. If there is no security issue in this version, I am okay with it.
939  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Fuck you ledger on: October 11, 2023, 08:56:39 AM
Many have a bad impression of Ledger since the last changes. But it's not mandatory anyway.
If you're referring to the firmware update that allowed the Recover "option" to work, it doesn't matter if you sign up for it or not; Ledger admitted they can pinch your private keys out of the secure element at any time, which they had previously said wasn't possible (and someone please correct me if I've got any of that wrong, but what I wrote is my understanding of what Ledger did and how it works).

Did they admit that? If so, how can this be seen as a secured wallet? If I am not wrong, Ledger claims, "Here at Ledger we strongly believe in open source. It's one of our core values, a great philosophy that advocates openness, and verifiability. Open source allows developers and security experts to review the code and ensure it is secure and not malicious. Open source means you don't need to trust" [1]

If they are open source, can't developers verify that the Ledger has a chance to steal users' private keys? Did nobody try it? Now, I am curious about it. Do you remember the recent hack of Atomic Wallet, where thousands of users reported that their wallet was hacked and they did not use any phishing? If users did not use phishing, how was their wallet hacked? These wallets are not non-custodial anymore.

If I remember correctly, yes I did. However, I am confused because I have installed Debian 12 a couple of times because I was unable to do a dual boot with Windows 10. This is the final, and I was able to dual-boot Debian 12 with Windows 10. I am currently logged in on my Windows system. I will try the commands once I get back to Linux and I will let you know about it. But, If I remember correctly, this did not help either. My best guess is that the deb.debian.org server does not have an updated version of Electrum yet. I could be wrong. If any Debian users are using an updated version of Electrum, they may confirm what is wrong.
