921  Other / Off-topic / Re: 10 platforms where you can earn money performing tasks on: October 18, 2023, 08:42:01 AM
There are several online platforms where you can earn money by performing various tasks. Please note that the availability and types of tasks may vary based on your location and skills. Here are 10 platforms where you can earn money by performing tasks:
4. Adswage: Adswage is a platform where you can earn money by viewing advertisements. It pays about $1 per ad view. Search them on Google to learn more about how to participate.
I have heard about some of the freelancing platforms OP shared and have even done some tasks in some. But Adswage's payment looks very attractive compared to the task. I know it might not look as simple as it looks and the payments might have some terms of service but I will give it a try because I know many people that will be glad to join the organization. OP thank you for sharing, it was indeed helpful.

There are several online platforms where you can earn money by performing various tasks. Please note that the availability and types of tasks may vary based on your location and skills.

OP, you are so wrong, these aren't just platforms were you earn money by performing tasks.
I wonder how the OP is wrong.  These are platforms where you can earn money by performing a task. It doesn't matter if the companies outsource their task because of the reasons or not the only reason why people visit these websites is to perform tasks and earn some money. Your response sounds discouraging and can affect the confidence of the OP.
922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Official Poster of Olympics 2028 Welcoming 5 New Sports (Including Cricket) on: October 18, 2023, 08:09:17 AM
Having more games in the Olympic Games will make the competition more interesting and competitive. It will also give nations greater opportunity to participate and win medals. Some countries that have never won any medal in the competition will now have greater chances to win if flag football, baseball/softball, squash, and cricket are popular sports in the country. I was surprised that games like baseball, squash, and cricket were not included in past Olympics because they are all very popular games. Flag football is an emerging sport in my country but the others are widely played.
923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am 19 years old boy living in South korea. Please give me an advice on: October 18, 2023, 07:50:45 AM
Please give me an advice to be a successful Bitcoin investor in the future.

A successful bitcoin investor should have basic knowledge of how the ecosystem works. There are many things you need to know about Bitcoin before investing. So my advice to you is to pause your investment plan and  invest time in learning about bitcoin. You are fortunate to be in a forum that you can get almost all the information you need about bitcoin.

100 dollar is for personal use. I can use it to anything I want. I use father's credit card for my expenses.
Okay, if that is the case, then it may not be a bad idea to buy BTC with some of that money every month. But there are things you must learn about BTC before buying it. Take note that BTC isn't a get rich quick scheme and you have to understand how to store your BTC in the right way so you don't lose it to scammers. Let's say you store your coins in a centralized exchange or in an online device that you use for your online activities, your funds can be stolen, so things like these is what you must learn about BTC before buying it.
Keeping his BTC in the right type of wallet is very important. There are so many centralized wallets that are advertised as decentralized wallets and OP needs to know about open-sourced and closed-sourced wallets. He should focus only on Bitcoin and shouldn't be deceived by the get-rich-quick promises of altcoins.
924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of reserves? Insurance fund? Best I can do is a random number generator! on: October 17, 2023, 12:44:48 PM
I agree with you. Proof of reserves is a good step, but it's not enough to guarantee that a centralized exchange is safe. There are other things to consider, like the people who run the exchange, how they do business, and how much money they have.
How will you know the people who run these centralised exchanges? Before the fall of FTX  Sam Bankman-Fried was seen as a financial titan and a well-celebrated philanthropist. Almost all the media houses were singing his praise and FTX was seen as a successful business as they splashed millions on endorsement deals and marketing. Nobody knew that the company was a walking corpse until it collapsed. The operations of most of these exchanges are secret and their audit statements are fake and fabricated. You cannot dictate how much they own because they can always randomly generate figures without any verifiable proof. The best option will always be to "stay away from centralization"

925  Economy / Economics / Re: Isreal and Palestine war and losing your wallet phrase and password on: October 17, 2023, 12:29:18 PM
Have you consider that you lose all your coins because the wallet phrase to your coins and PC burn in a war.
It is advisable not to keep your seed phrase on computers because it can be hacked or accessed by criminals. The best option will be to write your seed phrase in indestructible stainless steel that is water, fire and rust proof and keep them in different locations.

Quote
So what will you do if you survive after the war to start back your financial struggling and your crypto investment journey. Or can you get the coins back?
During conflicts, the most important thing will be your life and that of your loved ones. If you are unhurt after a conflict, then you are lucky because many people lost their lives during these trying times. You are the one who worked hard to acquire these coins, you can still regain them since are alive and well. If you didn't keep your seed phrase in any other location apart from the ones that have been destroyed, you might not be able to recover your funds.
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 17, 2023, 11:43:36 AM
In fact, the offer from Qatar will also waive all of Manchester United's current debts and the Glazzers are still ridiculously refusing the offer. I know that the Glazzers don't want to let Manchester United go no matter how much they pay because the Glazzers know that Manchester United is a business club, so the money offered is still not commensurate with Manchester United's big name which is already worldwide.
The club is owned by the six children of Malcolm Glazer (Avram, Bryan, Darcie, Edward, Joel and Kevin) and I am not sure they want to sell the club Even if they want to sell the club, they still want to own some stake or shares. The Glazers might consider selling Manchester United to a higher bidder that will also give them some shares in the club ownership structure. Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani's outright purchase didn't suit their expectation, which might be why they rejected the offer.

Quote
But indeed, from the perspective of Red Devils fans, the rejection from the Glazzers provoked their anger and of course many were angry when they heard this decision from the Glazzers. I don't know where this club will go in the future and when the city team continues to make new history in various competitions, Manchester United is still struggling with unfinished problems regarding ownership.
Manchester United fans have every right to be mad and disappointed at the failure of the Glazers to transfer ownership of the club to a more ambitious and financially buoyant buyer. Malcolm Glazer bought a debt-free club in 2005 but the club is currently indebted to the tone of £969.6m. Man U will come back to winning ways only if it is sold to the right individual or organisation.
927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some gambling questions. on: October 17, 2023, 10:42:24 AM
Some gambling questions I want to ask please answer.

How many percent of signature earnings you gamble away?
My salaries 5%.
This is a personal issue that shouldn't be published in a public space. However, I prefer to use a fraction of my income outside the forum.

Quote
Do you prefer Fiat or crypto at a display currency?
I use fiat.
I use both depending on my location and availability of funds. In some places mostly the religious areas of my location, crypto will be the best for privacy. But in cities, I like using fiat in physical gambling houses because of the fun that surrounds the environment.

Quote
What is your favorite game you play all the time?
Mine Mines.
Sportsbet.

Quote
Are you a responsible gambler?
yes.
Responsible gambling could be relative because it could mean different things to different people. I have not gambled above my means, I have not borrowed to gamble, and I have always followed my gambling plan. So I can assume that I am a responsible gambler.
928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife. on: October 17, 2023, 10:22:52 AM
I promised in a post on this forum a few months ago. I had a plan to give half of my bitcoin investment to my wife after marriage. I got married a few days ago.
Congratulations brother for your successful marriage and I wish you a happy marriage life.

Quote
First I gave my wife all the ideas about Bitcoin. I was surprised to hear my wife, as soon as I told my wife about Bitcoin, she said that she had heard the name of Bitcoin before. I thought it would be very difficult to convince girls. But my wife was able to understand about Bitcoin very easily.
You did the right thing by educating your wife about bitcoin and I also hope you taught her how to keep her investment safe. Since bitcoin is illegal in your country, your wife should learn how to keep her bitcoin holding secret. You know that ladies talk too much and she can give the information unknowingly to the wrong set of people.

Quote
I gave him half of the investment as per my word. He is very happy to get Bitcoin. My wife plans to hold bitcoin for a long time. Now you can say it is better to give girls gold jewelery than bitcoins. I have given gold ornaments to my wife as per her wish. Have any of you managed to teach your wife Bitcoin? Have any of you gifted bitcoin to a wife like me?
Keeping bitcoin for a long time is the surest way of profiting from the investment. Gold and bitcoin are precious commodities to keep but bitcoin is preferable because of its flexibility and simplicity.
929  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: US SEC does not plan to appeal court decision on Grayscale bitcoin ETF on: October 17, 2023, 10:04:59 AM
I’ll tell you one more piece of information that may be written about in the news again.
This ruling will unfortunately not speed up the launch of a spot ETF. Grayscale will again apply for a spot ETF and the whole procedure will begin again with all the deadlines, and this does not guarantee the result, because the SEC will come up with a more competent justification for its decision during this time.

The SEC does not want to appeal, not because they are afraid of losing the case. They don’t want to spend money on this because they already have a lot of legal ways to delay or reject any applications. Smiley

SEC's failure to appeal the judgement has set a legal precedent. This means that the SEC will have to look for other reasons for denying subsequent applications and not the same reason covered by the ruling of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals in Washington. I know they will always come up with more reasons but at least they have lost some options.

Also SEC has recently approved BlackRock's ETF. Do you think it's a coincidence?
This good news turned out to be fake because BlackRock told Bloomberg that its application is still under SEC's review. CoinTelegraph has deleted the tweet that sparked the rise of bitcoin price to as much as 10%. But the news just gave us a glimpse of what will happen when spot bitcoin ETF is finally approved by the SEC.
930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Low cost but effective solutions to gambling addiction on: October 16, 2023, 09:02:51 AM
It is true that the cost of one meeting with a professional psychiatrist is quite expensive, so someone who is addicted to gambling and does not have the money to meet with a professional must look for a non-profit organization that usually provides psychiatric services to treat their addiction. Or if they don't find that, they can ask for help from those closest to them, such as their parents or wife, to help them control their urge to gamble.
In some areas, there are no qualified psychiatrists who are specialists in gambling addiction. You need to even travel to another city to locate the few that exist in some countries. In some of these locations, people suffering from gambling addiction are just helpless. However, a good alternative could be to locate an online counselor or specialist. Several gambling addiction therapists can offer even free services to individuals. But as others have highlighted,  the process of being free from gambling addiction starts from the willingness of the individual to adjust his gambling habit. Except there is a desire to change, counseling might not do much.
931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: October 16, 2023, 08:20:32 AM
The paradigm is already changing and it is so obvious to everyone and including the Europeans. Before now the Europeans uses the world best players to control football just like what they did with Ronaldo and Messi in Laliga for so many seasons. If Saudi Arabia has learnt how to buy important players despite their age, they are one step closer to thin down the competition line.
SPL has gotten huge attention with the signing of many important players but they need to do more. The league should also attract young talented players. Many players will not go the Saudi Arabia because the standard of football is still low. The league needs to improve the pay of not just these superstars but also emerging players this will help to attract more young players.

Quote
The successful takeover of Newcastle United and that of Manchester United about to happen is another signal. The main tool to control this football industry is money and the Saudi Arabians are really to invest even more funds to achieve their desire. Time will tell how fast they will be to achieve this.
Money is not the only tool that is used to control football, politics is a major tool. An example in the case of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. He helped to build one of the most successful clubs in England but the UK government stylishly took the club from him using political means. I am afraid that the investment from the Arab world in Europe might not be safe.
932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Give Bitcoin investment time on: October 16, 2023, 07:45:27 AM
Unfortunately, when people buy Bitcoin, they expect huge profits within a short period of time. This is the source of panic and fud that is exhibited by many Bitcoin investors.
People who want to make quick money should be discouraged from investing in bitcoin. This is because they don't know the difference between bitcoin and altcoin which is why they assume bitcoin is like those coins that can be pumped and dumped easily.

Quote
While educating people about Bitcoin, I think it is wise we tell them Bitcoin need time to yield profit, let us change our approach in sharing Bitcoin knowledge so that people will not come into Bitcoin with the mindset of get-rich-quick.
You are very correct @OP,  people should know that bitcoin is not a money-doubling scheme or a get-rich-quick venture. They should come as long-term investors if they want to really benefit from bitcoin.  People should also know that the price of Bitcoin is unpredictable so they should be willing to readjust their plans in case the price falls short of their expectation at a given time.
933  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: YouTuber's hype video is not good advice on: October 15, 2023, 09:36:28 PM
Anybody who relies on YouTube for information should be ready to always receive fake news. Most of the people who claim to be crypto analysts are a hungry set of people seeking where to feed from. They are willing to promote any news or shitcoin for monetary gains. Most of their predictions are based on unverified speculation. There might be a few crypto YouTubers who give genuine lectures or predictions but we should always do our research before making any decision.

Don't also believe the predictions of influencers and celebrities in social media because many of them have been paid to promote projects that they know nothing about. Some of these shitcoin or crypto projects will end up becoming scam businesses making customers lose their funds. Kim Kardashian and Floyd Mayweather were recently sued for promoting a shitcoin called EthereumMax which lost almost 97% of its value in a few months after the pump.
934  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cross-chain crimes reaches a record of $7 billion on: October 15, 2023, 08:50:13 PM
Yes, everything is traceable in the blockchain, and that's why this criminals are trying to get around with it, hiding thru various methods. Initially it was mixer, then authorities goes and shut down some of them. And now criminals learn another method by cross-chain and it reaches record numbers.

For sure if ever this criminals will be caught and cannot hide anymore from this tactic, there will be more far advance and sophisticated method that will come up in the future.
Just like mixer and tumbler, cross-chain services can be used for genuine privacy purposes but they are been abused by criminals. Governments especially in the US are also becoming technologically advanced in the detecting, investigating, and prosecuting of these crypto criminals. In recent years different agencies such as the Darknet Marketplace Digital Currency Crimes Task Force and Virtual Asset Exploitation Unit have been established in the US to fight crypto-related crimes.  So as these criminals are getting smarter the government is also stepping up their game to be ahead of them.
935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An agent is no where to be found. on: October 15, 2023, 12:45:44 PM
Today I witness something very strange in the area where I live recently. There was a gambling shop that was not too far from where I am staying, so every day different gamblers visit the shop to bet on games, some win and some don't win a dime.

So, yesterday afternoon, a man bet on a midnight game and the game played accordingly as predicted, but the surprising thing was that the betting agent ran away with the money the man won, and the betting agent is no where to be found.
This experience is painful because the gambler has been losing bets before and now he is been denied his clear win. The gambler should report the issue to the zonal or headquarters of the gambling company, maybe they might help in tracking the betting agent. And he should be made to face the wrath of the law if he is finally arrested this will serve as a lesson to others.

Quote
However, I am here to say these are the reasons why it is not always good to gamble in a betting agent's shop, because if the manager of the shop does not run with the money a gambler wins, then one of the workers in the betting shop might run away with the money someone wins, so I do conclude that an online gambling site with good reputation is the best for gambler, so what do you guys have to say about this?.
There are many people who will always prefer physical gambling to betting online and they have genuine reasons for that. One of the reasons is that many of them are not literate so they will always the the assistance of physical attendants to place their bets. Some are not also computer or internet literate which means in-house gambling will be their best choice. I have seen people who claim that it is easier to track or trace physical casinos than online gambling house that has no physical presence. They assume that it will be easier for an online casino to pull an exit scam because it cannot be easily tracked or sued.
936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is different from other means of investment on: October 15, 2023, 12:29:06 PM

Anyone still doubting the freedom, comfort and peace that Bitcoin offers is probably yet to embrace reality.
Every business or investment involves some level of risk. Bitcoin is not a perfect investment because it also has some level of risk. I have also observed that there is no need to compare Bitcoin with any other investment such as real estate because they are two different sectors. I am one of the people who have so much respect for the real estate sector because it has less risk and appreciates significantly. But the recent happenings in the world are making me change my views. The recent earthquake in Turkey, Morocco and Afghanistan the flooding in Libya and the destruction of Gaza are all indicators that the Real estate sector is not risk-proof. Investing in bitcoin is not also a safe haven because many people have also lost their funds through hacks and other attacks. The best option will be to diversify your investment and learn the art of keeping your investment safe.
937  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need advice on getting merits on: October 14, 2023, 11:40:08 PM
Hi guys, I want to ask some tips on getting some merits. I somehow feel jealous when I see other full members having tons of it even if they're just new to the forum. I know that there are some ways to earn it like being active in your local board, engaging in the gambling threads talking about particular sports, create an informational thread, or have some deep knowledge about bitcoin's technical like block size, hash rate, etc. And that's my concern, I am not good with any of those stuffs. I am not a sports enthusiasts nor good in bitcoin technical. Our local board is not that active also compared to others where I see some members' their main merit source.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking my time to read my post. Cheers!  Smiley
The gambling section is one of the least merited boards. People who post in the gambling section are not after merit but to get entertained and complete their signature quota. Nobody was born with the knowledge of bitcoin.  Every member you see discussing bitcoin in all sections if the forum took time to read and understand the Bitcoin space. I am sure you can learn many things that can make you make helpful contributions. Learning about some aspects of bitcoin might be challenging but is is not impossible. If you can pay close attention to threads and do research, you might make post that will attract merits.

Learning and mastering the rules of the forum can also be an added advantage in your determination to advance in the forum. This can help you to guide newbies and make contributions in some boards. You can also help to keep the forum clean by busting spammers, scammers and cheaters. Some members also earn merits by taking part in various contests in the forum.

But if you want to excel in the forum, the best path will be to keep learning about Bitcoin and contribute positively  to the forum
938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 14, 2023, 07:35:05 PM
New rumors say that Manchester City is interested in signing Toni Kroos from Real Madrid when his contract expires next season. It seems that Manchester City wants to feel like their midfield is filled with an experienced midfielder like Toni Kroos and this will make the depth of The Citizen's squad even more terrifying. We know that Toni Kroos has brilliant passing accuracy and it would be extraordinary if he was on the same field as KDB.

Manchester city will pay Toni Kroos a salary of 13 million per season and I don't think that's a bad offer. But as we know, Toni Kroos is likely to retire at Real Madrid along with Luka Modric and now we just have to wait to see whether he will change his mind or not after his contract ends.
There have been no responses from the 33-year-old veteran midfielder, so we have to wait till we hear from him. But Toni will be a big plus to the Manchester City squad because he is still strong and a very experienced player. City has struggled to maintain the quality of its midfield since Kevin De Bruyne was sidelined by injury. Toni will be a good backup plan for the team until they get a younger player. It would have been better for him to receive a historical farewell celebration in Real Madrid if he retired there but City is a good club and the pay is very attractive. There is also news that Pep Guardiola is targeting RB Leipzig's Spanish playmaker Dani Olmo next season.
939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 14, 2023, 06:48:43 PM
Well, it is too early to predict what is going to happen. But I can predict something with confidence and that is PSG is not winning the Champions League competition. I have huge confidence in this particular prediction.
With the condition of the PSG side, it will be difficult for them to even make it to the Champions League semi-finals. The club lacks the coordination and attacking power it portrayed a few seasons ago. But we can not write off any club because luck also plays a lot of role in football. We have seen some underrated teams winning the cup, an example is Chelsea under Roberto di Matteo. Chelsea winning the competition was a miracle because Andre Villas-Boas was fired because the team was performing badly. But luck made the team to defeat more formidable clubs like Napoli, Barcelona and Bayern Munich to lift the trophy in Munich.

Quote
I am also going to make another prediction. I think PSG might be able to win the Ligue-1 title. But they will have to work really hard for that as well. And throughout the season, they are going to be inconsistent. With the kind of situation, they are in right now, I do not think expecting too much from them is actually going to be a clever idea.
No matter the weak display of PSG they are still the favorite to win the Ligue 1 title. Monaco and Nice are inconsistent to be projected as potential winners. The season is still fresh to decide who will emerge the champions but it will be good to have another winner after many years of PSG's dominance.
940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of reserves? Insurance fund? Best I can do is a random number generator! on: October 14, 2023, 05:54:20 PM
Do they even have to borrow money, they could just print their shit tokens out of this air and use it to buy assets to 'prove' that their reserves covers all liabilities.
Exactly. It's happened many times before. An exchanges goes bankrupt because of their own shady practices or because of a hack, so they either launch a shitcoin and "pay" back their users in this worthless shitcoin instead of bitcoin, or they just print a few hundred million of an existing shitcoin out of nothing to keep themselves solvent. A prime example of this is Bitfinex and Tether, where they printed almost a billion USDT out of nothing and gave it to themselves after they were hacked and insolvent.
This is indeed an eye-opener never to rely on these exchanges no matter how influential or renowned they claim to be. This issue is like mismanaging funds somebody put in your custody. And when he requests his funds, you tell him not to worry that you have another currency. And you go to your room and bring out some coloured papers and tell him that you will pay him with this. You still go ahead to convince him that in a few months, these coloured papers will be worth more than the dollars. Sadly many people still believe these lies and invest in these shitcoin.

Still, people consider USDT trustworthy, it's all the game of valuation, there is a need for the realization that the value we need is not a stable currency it is Bitcoin. I'm afraid until we are gonna learn there will be another.
There is nothing stable about the USDT. How are we sure that Tether has the assets or reserve it claims it owns? Just like FTX the shady deals engaged by these centralised firms always come to light after it has collapsed.
