921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 11, 2023, 10:35:50 PM
I disagree that it isn't his fault. If he was constantly working to keep his body conditioned and in shape, he wouldn't always start the season overweight. All the added weight wears and tears on his joints and muscles leading to injury.

The guy is only worried about getting paid and getting laid.

Of course, being overweight can harm any NBA player's knees because the regular season schedule is too busy, and players have very little time to rest. In Zion's case, being overweight is one of the main reasons why he is so injury-prone. However, I don't rule out the possibility that Zion is fine with it and has no motivation to change anything since he already has a huge contract with the Pelicans.
What does he do when his contract runs out? When nobody wants to pay him big money because he can only play 20% of the season? When his money runs out?

Players need to think of their future rather than only thinking of the present.

What happened::
I saw this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5439652.0 and thought I'd buy a bitcointalk account.

I contacted them on Telegram and suggested using escrow...

PM/Chat Logs:

As you can see I picked a trusted bitcointalk profile as escrow but he invited his own scammy lookalike account into the escrow group chat.
I'm an idiot for sending him 105$ in BTC like this... His fraud is revealed now I hope more is found out and he's fully exposed.
Greatful for any help.

To the scammer, please return my money...
Quoting so images appear, also supporting your flag. If choosing an escrow, always choose 1 from the forum if they will do account sales. Only other advice I can give is do not buy an account.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 11, 2023, 01:28:15 AM
I don’t know who at ESPN is doing their NBA rankings and predictions but I wish I could bet against them. After the horrible take on the Bucks upcoming season, they’re now saying that Zion Williamson is the 57th best player in the NBA. I could maybe see calling him the 20th, but 57th? If he plays in even 50 games this year he’ll likely be an MVP candidate…
If he would stay healthy I could see him being top 20, but the fact that he can't play a full season without being injured would have him ranked 200th IMO. If he won't condition himself to play the whole season, he's worthless. He's only good for letting his team down.

I wouldn't even place him among the best, especially considering that he's not even competing in the playoffs. This fact alone essentially invalidates any such ranking. It's not his fault, of course, as he certainly wouldn't wish for an injury, but let's face reality - in the world of professional sports, your ranking tends to improve significantly if you make substantial contributions on the field.

I'm a bit puzzled as to why this conversation even came about. Personally, I believe our best course of action is to simply wish him good luck and hope that he can make a valuable contribution to the team. This way, we can assess his effectiveness in the playoffs.
I disagree that it isn't his fault. If he was constantly working to keep his body conditioned and in shape, he wouldn't always start the season overweight. All the added weight wears and tears on his joints and muscles leading to injury.

So because that user is spreading misinformation the merit system doesn't work? What about the misinformation you are currently spreading? The merit system has its flaws, but overall it works just fine. You can't go just trusting what users post though as far as information goes. Always DYOR(Do Your Own Research).
925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not keeping records makes me a bad gambler? on: October 10, 2023, 08:06:07 PM
If you keep records, it may lead to you being hospitalized for a mental issue lol. Why would you want to see how much money you have lost? Most gamblers, that's what they are going to have a record of. If you are a poker player or sportsbetting only, then records would be a good thing, but I wouldn't wanna know my stats for any other sort of gambling.

I guess another way to look at it would be, if you know how much you are losing it may inspire you to quit gambling?

If the forum is down for hours there might be a reason for a thread, but only a few minutes doesn't really seem like a big deal. The admins will fix the issue either way if/when they can, so really not a reason for a thread IMO. If something out of the ordinary is happening, i'm sure they'll inform us.
928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Casino make money on Poker on: October 08, 2023, 10:24:14 PM
I think you already read Lets discuss Poker and now it's time to know how does casino make money on Poker. Also we know that Casino favors the slots games more than the Poker because the profit percentage at the slots games is more for the casino as compare to the poker.

It is basically the Rake (a sort of a fee) which casino takes for every poker games we play at thier platform. The Rake is usually fixed for the game but some casinos, will not take the rake, but will charge an hourly fee from the poker players. Its always better to know what type of rake/fee the casino will charge for playing poker.
Why do we need to discuss this? Only because of the other topic?

this question apply to offline casinos not online casinos because i am something skeptical about them that they cheat or have high odds,

Online casinos and land based casino all have a rake man. It's a % of the money that all the players put in the pot, usually capped at a certain amount. If you have a fast paced game, fast dealer, and players that make quick decisions you can see a table play 35-45 hands per hour. Casinos around me have a max rake of $6 per hand, so if a casino had an average of 35-45 hands per hour that were all capped rake, you would see $210-$270 per table and most pokerrooms have minimum 15 tables going.
929  Economy / Gambling / Re: My best SPORTSBETTING advices! ⚽️ on: October 08, 2023, 07:13:20 PM
It's fun to make a big parlay for a few bucks to try and get lucky IMO. You bet $3 on 100+ odds, you can have a decent day. I'd also look to bet on single games to make a profit on the day hopefully, but the big thrill would be hitting that parlay.

Good news for my team! Cooper Kupp was activated by Sean McVay and declared will play vs. the Eagles for week 5. I will take the risk and play him hehehe. There are speculations that his hamstring is not 100% because Sean McVay mentioned Kupp will play assuming nothing will happen in the next 48 hours.

Cooper Kupp will make his season debut on Sunday when the Rams host the Eagles, as long as he doesn’t have any setbacks between now and kickoff. That’s what Sean McVay told reporters on Friday, confirming that Kupp will play this weekend after missing the first four games.

I think they will use Puka Nacua mostly and Kupp as a decoy. I'm glad to see the guy back, but I doubt the Rams want to risk reinjuring the guy and losing him for the whole season.

Let us wish that Sean McVay will use him as a decoy until the ball is on 1st down and goal where he will be thrown the passes for chance of touchdown hehe. But it appears that this will not be a big risk for my team on week 5 because my other wide receivers are very much worse than Kupp with one hamstring hehhehee.
Yea, you're most likely fine. Kupp is 1 of the best in the game right now and probably wouldn't risk playing if he was injured. They're playing Philly which will be a physical game, pretty sure McVay would not play him if he wasn't feeling near 100%.

Good luck this weekend.
931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets discuss Poker on: October 07, 2023, 10:54:34 PM

That's why I play Omaha. People play just as lose preflop but it's a pot limit game, barely hardcore harakiri allins preflop. And if there is an allin pre you will most likely see combinations with AA, KK double suited and so on.

IMO Omaha is a much harder game, especially with more players at the table. Yea it's loose preflop and a very action oriented game, but there are so many combos due to the amount of the deck that's in play, it's very hard to win consistently.

If you like action, then Omaha is def the game for you.
932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lets discuss Poker on: October 07, 2023, 09:58:08 PM
Poker is a discipline game and the ability to read other players.  The best thing I can tell people at a top level is to play losses against tight players and tight against loose players.  Don't play every hand like some people do, you will blind yourself out and force yourself to play bad hands.  Also I tend to like no limit vs limit because in limit people call all the way to the river and catch cards.
Have you tried some of the PKO tourneys? If there is a person all in a player usually gets 1-2 callers with shit cards just trying to get the bounty on that players head. I agree that limit poker has a lot of terrible calls, but no limit has just as many. Even in higher stakes I've seen some terrible calls.
933  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 8bet.io refusing to process cashout on: October 07, 2023, 06:02:31 PM
I see you have linked the profiles associated with that site, have you sent them a PM notifying them of this thread? I seriously doubt that they are scamming anyone over 50$. It's possible, but any site trying to make it (even if exit scamming) is not going to screw someone over for less than $50.

I'd say send a pm, see if you can get a response. If no response, bump this thread after a few days.
934  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] The Anon virtual VISA card, No personal information needed. on: October 07, 2023, 05:28:20 AM
So if we load the card with $1000 we lose $100 off the top? Seems like a pretty high fee if ya ask me. Why wouldn't I just use an exchange and send the money to my bank? 10% fee just to avoid KYC? 10% everytime I load the card?

In the longrun if you are looking to avoid taxes you would save money, but we still gotta trust you aren't going to take off with our money.

936  Economy / Services / Re: [ viewbot.gg ] The most stable Live Viewers for Twitch & Kick on: October 07, 2023, 01:42:24 AM
Ok, so let's talk about what this will actually do for a streamer. If you are a streamer who uses a viewbot and you go live, none of these viewers chat. None of them deposit, and none of them do anything for you except show you have viewers. What good is that for you as a streamer? If you are lucky enough to find a casino dumb enough to take a chance on you, you will be fired within 2 weeks since you have 0 interaction in your channel and 0 deposits from your viewers.

I struggle to find the pros of using this service. Feel free to comment and tell me the advantages.
937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provable fairness should be mandated by law! ONLY gamble in provably fair casino on: October 06, 2023, 07:34:52 PM
From what i understand the fiat casinos are heavily regulated by actual 'gaming comissions' and players have an actual course of complaint against the books,

However most of us here play on crypto casinos which have the curacao license which doesnt really mean much,

Regulation of crypto casinos like the fiat casinos could be good in  the 'provably fair' sense but it also will make negatives like loss of privacy for crypto players
If we did see a regulation change in crypto casino would most likely result in more than half of them closing their doors. There are so many options currently but not even all of them have a minimum of the Curacao license.

As much as they use their rules to KYC players and confiscate money or void wins, it would be nice to see casinos held to a standard where players that are legit feel safe playing at their casino.
938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: October 06, 2023, 06:57:42 PM
Just a different line of thinking but would it be something that could be used for a teaching moment? Let your kids observe your gambling and then teach them how to do it responsibly. I think gambling is so easily found these days, either the act of doing it or watching someone else do it online, that we should try to teach our young ones from an early age the pros and cons and hope that they are raised well enough to be responsible.
939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provable fairness should be mandated by law! ONLY gamble in provably fair casino on: October 06, 2023, 06:50:13 PM
I heard a long time ago that even if a casino is "provably fair" that the casino could still cheat somehow. Somehow they implement salted seeds or something, not exactly sure how it worked but it did have me curious. Whether or not this is true, I have no clue.  I have had some pretty incredible losing streaks that seem impossible in my dice days.

I wouldn't mind casinos having to verify their code every few months or something, but I doubt that's ever going to happen.
940  Economy / Reputation / Re: Possible/Trying to Abusing - MoneyPot.com - 20k satoshi giveaway / alt account on: October 06, 2023, 04:53:55 PM
I think DaveF is JollyGood. Could someone investigate this possibility for me?

This is how I view this case so far. You presented a question without presenting much proof. Looks like a simple copy/paste job IMO. You might be 100% right, but when you present a case of alts I think more proof needs to be presented. Also make sure the rules of the promotion, campaign, or whatever are being violated as well.

Everyone needs to try and have solid evidence before accusing IMO. An accusation can have bad repercussions on a user. Could get someone kicked out of a campaign, could get someone banned, or could get someone tagged. Be sure before you post an accusation.
