921  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bad market for businesses wey de accept bitcoin. on: November 24, 2023, 03:28:13 PM
The fact that bitcoin is a modern technology and everyone wants to be part of it, but sometimes person suppose reason well before he add bitcoin for he market, cause one thing with customers they're very selective, once you start add money for your market because of bitcoin transaction fee, customers go leave that market and that market no go sell again. For me anything associated with business make that person never involve bitcoin, haven't seen any Nigerian marketer wey dey accept bitcoin rather na fiat, but some modern organization dey accept bitcoin but that one na their choice, if the person see say no profit that person will accept fiat for a while

What role do you think a regular citizen can play here in governance? Our spirits are low and it is almost like a if you can't beat them join them situation.
It's best to keep quite and watch, it's better to hustle find wetin go bring money for table, I dey always laugh any person wey wan fight government, no ordinary citizen can fight the government cause they're trickish. Our role as citizen is to vote and even the voting don turn to something else. Even if citizens want to protest, protest na one of the risky thing to do for Nigeria, wetin my eyes see for end sars I will never advice any Nigeria citizen to protest for bad government and election matter. Naso naija matter dey anything concerning election na court go still judge the final say, that's why most people have decided not to vote.
925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An easy approach to Bitcoin on: November 21, 2023, 07:33:55 PM
I acknowledge the fact that no knowledge is a waste but bordering kids with Bitcoin knowledge is completely irrelevant, at some age let children be children teaching them about bitcoin could be beneficial at some point but where they can't put this knowledge use for the time being then it should be set aside till when it is due.
When it comes to newbies it's a basic beginners knowledge that is shared it's quite appreciated
I agree, I don't know what age the OP is talking about children but if he was talking about children under 10 I would object too. I am the one with 2 children and I personally witnessed raising them and watching them grow up day by day. Therefore, I feel that teaching bitcoin to children at this age is a waste and useless thing. Let them have a beautiful childhood, don't force or force them to do things they don't like. Bitcoin is just money, an investment, they can learn at any time when they grow up. To become rich, it is not necessary to invest in bitcoin early, and those who do not invest in bitcoin do not necessarily become poor.
You're right, the age matters a lot cause teaching a 10years old child about bitcoin doesn't make any sense, but it depends if that child is brilliant some kids these days learn new things fast, but still let's not forget that children these days make good use of the internet to learn, there's nothing bad educating kids about bitcoin.
Have seen several news talking about kids earning money from crypto, children nowadays learn new things from school, church etc, so it's not a must as parents to teach our children about bitcoin. Lastly teaching a child about crypto is good but let's be realistic, most people teaching about bitcoin they will emphasize more on the advantage, if we want to start educating kids about bitcoin we should educate them about the advantage and disadvantage and let them make their choice
926  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Economic challenge shouldn't be limitation to your project on: November 20, 2023, 08:35:57 PM
The economy challenge for Nigeria na the major problem and I like the way you emphasize more on food, we all need food to survive and the price of food stuff gets high almost everyday and we don't except roadside food seller to sell their food cheap cause they also need profit, in my own opinion if anyone wants to save money that person should avoid road side food.
But everyday people still complain the Nigeria economy bitterly even family man wey no dey buy roadside food still dey complain the Nigeria economy, so even if we buy roadside food or cook at home the economy still hard.
Lastly how Nigerians dey grow when it comes to income and profit, people dey work hard everyday but the income matters alot, nowadays people work hard just to settle for less and why person like this no go complain about the economy. But I will say people facing this current hardship should involve in multi task, different kinds of job.

928  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Is Ai a threat to Nigerias educational system on: November 19, 2023, 09:16:13 PM
AI standing as a threat to Nigeria education system sounds funny, op is actually right, students nowadays use AI to pass exams, Assignments, projects. But let's look at those students grade, check well those students using AI for exams their grade no better pass other student grade, I don observe this thing tire even students who are involved in examination malpractice their grade no better pass other student grade, one thing with a brilliant child when you're brilliant you're brilliant you don't need an AI to pass exams and assignment.

I see AI as a modern technology there's nothing bad with Ai the primary purpose of AI is to make decision and perform human task but cannot take the place of humans. Most students use the internet for research to acquire more knowledge that's not bad. But why people dey abuse AI, the wrong use of AI dey very bad and risky cause we cannot put all our trust on a robot and AI. Just like what you mentioned and students dey really make use of AI during Assignment but before AI come student dey buy knowledge with money so without AI students go still get another source, for me any student wey dey use AI or money to pass exam or project na dull student.
929  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why E de important to avoid to de tell people about crypto way you get on: November 18, 2023, 08:45:27 PM
One thing wey I observe about wealth issue and even for crypto most especially the ones wey dey trade, them dey like to show off, I get friends like that wey many, Everytime they will love posting their bitcoin investment and trading, for me I understand them I feel say na wetin them dey take attract girls but unknownly to them say na wrong thing to expose crypto investment online. But another set of people dey again those people just feeling like telling their friends, neighbour about there bitcoin holding make people just know say them get money, but if we observe well na people wey dey expose their bitcoin investment online na them dey face challenges like this na them encounter scammers pass and na them go still carry their mumu post online giving details on how the scammer scammed him, even if person wan show off for crypto or wealth matter make the person stay out of social media because social media na world wide everybody dey see wetin dey happen, so exposing your crypto holding online go attract scammers well

931  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Access bank no fit give their customers access. on: November 18, 2023, 01:07:18 PM
For some days access bank customers no fit get access to their own money,  the name of the bank don become an opposite meaning. This not the first time this our traditional banks are having issues like this. People not having access to their money is a very bad experience which can put people to be in a complete confuse state. Na why I still considered bitcoin as the best, even if their is a delay in the network to transfer bitcoin,  with the use of a accelerator people still have access to their money in Bitcoin.  Access bank no even care about their customers, if they put their customers first they won't let their customers to go through this pain. Bitcoin cares about it users and still created a way people  can have access to it with accelerator.

Our government really need to accept Bitcoin completely so that people can invest in it and in difficult time like this bitcoin can be a solution to the problem.
It can be very frustrating when you want to make some financial activities and you get a setback, especially in urgent situation.
Nowadays I don't even use this our conventional banks for transactions, Opay has been able helpful.
Omo if our government, relax the restrictions on bitcoin e go really help our financial life, because this Banks dey misbehave too much.
As usual, bank wahala and issue dey affect customers, this issue no dey for only access bank all banks sometimes dey get network issue and wahala during that cashless season I sure say everybody suffer small that season even people wey dey use opay transfer dey complain of network. Even if the adoption of crypto (bitcoin) increase for najia and definitely the adoption dey increase everyday but we still dey suffer from bank wahala cause Nigeria government never make bitcoin as our legal tender. And before this thing go dey possible no be today oh,   I don't know our government thought towards bitcoin  and we should just hope that our government accept bitcoin
932  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The journey wey you plan the least nah him fit give you the most on: November 18, 2023, 12:24:04 PM
Op your speech is a word of encouragement, some go say na motivational speaker or na quote. Just the way you encounter challenges na so everybody dey face challenges, all this ones na part of hustle for life but no one knows what life has to offer so e good make everybody work hard for a better life. Everyone will always say be patient with whatever you're doing but I don't understand this kind of patient cause person suppose get two plans for life, plan A and plan B, for me patient get limit and most people will stick to one plan forever but life no dey like that I no  know if na ignorance.
933  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government can really make a way to end poverty or it depends on us? on: November 17, 2023, 11:25:42 PM
A more appropriate step to overcome this is to work in a job sector that can bring in more income. For example, businesses at the medium and small levels must also have sources of income from two different directions even though they have to do two jobs that are not the same. Because as long as this work can help us overcome poverty slowly, I think it is very good to do it without having to join the government system with a monthly salary through certain agencies.
It is everyone's responsibility to be able to earn income to meet the needs they need because if we expect the government to be able to overcome poverty, that is wrong in my opinion, because it is important for us to have several sources of income to be able to meet our own needs, I agree not to hope for a job with the government because the salary we get from the government is very small and cannot necessarily meet our needs for a month and if we can work and earn our own income it will certainly be more satisfying.
You're actually right cause I see no reason waiting for the government to increase workers salaries, some leaders are very selfish and they will not care about the masses neither will they pay attention. I see no need protesting. But despite the hard work and everything a poor economy will still be attributed to bad government and poor leadership. Nowadays salary earners no longer live fine due to the price of things the inflation and other things, even business people are also complaining the price of food in the market, people who engage themselves in different kinds of work will still complain cause after working so hard you find yourself spending money on low value things with high price. my concern is not about the work or the job my major concern is the inflation, even if most people can work hard to fit this standard of living, not everyone can do so for example the pensioners, and government should be blamed for the poor economy and inflation.
934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not get scammed by this, specially newcomers. on: November 17, 2023, 09:55:15 PM
At first what's with quora, Everytime they have solutions to multiple problems and the annoying part is people are allowed to share fake information and fake opinion on matters. have seen similar stories like this on the internet and people making comments, referring different kinds of people some making comments on how to recover the wallet, that's what you get when you share your problems on social media. Most people who believe all this information and give out there private informations to scammers I don't blame them cause in this case that involves loosing money, it hurts and at that point the person feels fustrated any little opportunity the victim sees I think that person will not hesitate to make amends. Just like the fiat system, bank workers will collide with scammers to scam customers trying to get useful information from them and bank staffs will still be the one to solve the problem, but when it comes to crypto there's no solution to this kind problem.
935  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: [ECONOMICS] Yesterday's Price Nor Be Today's Price on: November 16, 2023, 02:33:17 PM
This inflation for Nigeria na the major problem, everytime wey person wan buy something the price keeps increasing and the most funniest part na things with zero value na price dey increase, even common things for market like onion, now my question is should we blame government for the inflation. I observe something this inflation no dey for only Nigeria most African countries dey suffer from inflation. Everyone keeps talking about the price of things in the market but no solution yet, the more we complain the more price dey increase, for me I don't really know what's causing this inflation even if I wan start to dey mention solutions the inflation go still dey for example promoting and supporting Agriculture in the country will also help but still yet no promotion, and if we observe foreign goods no too dey expensive reach the planting food like the price of onion now na hot cake, pepper, tomatoes etc but people dey plant all this things and price still dey increase.
936  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Newbies that seizes to learn and acting professional on: November 15, 2023, 05:51:04 PM
I don't know why it is concluded that newbies are the ones flooding the local board with irrelevant topics and comments alone. This is something that should be addressed generally regardless of rank or status. I have seen higher members with less quality post and comments that are off topic.

If we are complaining much about irrelevant topic what of repeated topics. Thread like this you created had already been here but you fail to do a proper search.

Exactly, have seen several threads like this, calling only the newbies. I know everyone is here to learn most especially the newbies, I don't know for other newbies but I personally am here to learn. But the thread about the shit post don too much, if na only talk op you go talk tire oh, because people dey wey go still do wetin dey their mind so make we just dey wait for moderator. op you for just go comment for Agbe thread because na Agbe na start this thread for this local board.
937  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Every successful innovation is a product of a sound mind and a positive mindset. on: November 15, 2023, 05:12:57 PM
The mind is the center of success in every man, if every man can build a creative mindset just like the great men you mentioned the society will be a great place. It's good to have a creative mindset but a creative mindset without hardwork is nothing, I believe say everybody for here get something great to offer but hardwork sef go follow, Faith without work is dead. People saying the environment is a barrier for ones success and making reference of Nigeria as a barrier I disagree with that idea, like this for Nigeria wey we dey nobody dey stop any person to invent new technologies, even this naija people still dey invent but the problem with Nigerians we no dey supportive at all, no encouragement rather any person wey wan try to do something the bad mouth for this country go bring the person down, I can still remember when Hilda Baci started her cook a thon people at first insulted her, saying she will faint but she came out with victory, but if she paid attention to those people saying those rubbish about her she for no fit finish.
For example Martin Luther King did not just fought alone but he got support from the NAACP.
938  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Importance of learning a skill before gaining admission into the universIty on: November 14, 2023, 09:07:45 PM
For north here wey we de, people de value hand work pass school because some people get d mentality of saying that after school no work, some of us no de even go school at all and they end up hustling and hawking. Education here is by chance and opportunity, if you get sponsor you will go school and if you no get you will stay at home and learn hand work. As you say it is good to learn hand work get skill before going to school or after university so that it can help us get money for food before we get government work.
Just what's going true my mind when I read the topic, normally for naija wey we dey no be all graduate dey work and 90% of graduate no dey use there school certificate rather na handwork or skill. And now because of all this things the young ones dey get the wrong impression say school na scam, and when I ask why many reasons dey, some go say to go school now na with big money and other reasons but there's nothing like school na scam, just because you're a graduate and you've not seen a job yet but rather you dey feed from handwork or skill that doesn't mean school na scam. Nowadays even business men and women, people who make  shoes, bags, wigs, dress, data management  etc, sometimes advertising of brands are necessary and making speech about your product or business, so this kind of example don show say e good to go school.
939  Economy / Economics / Re: Being rich = not looking at price tag on: November 14, 2023, 09:46:13 AM
Just like what most people are saying, the rich people always make there things different but not all, now in this case not all rich men, the mind controls everything in human life so if any rich man doesn't care about the price that's just the persons mindest. cause since they have money they will buy anything they want regardless the price, even if the price keeps increasing they will still buy. But haven't heard about this price tag maybe I will observe, supermarkets these days put price on the product so everyone can see the amount of that product instead of asking questions, so placing the price of the product on the product I think everyone can see both rich and poor so I clearly don't understand. Although, it's better everyone should manage their money both rich and poor.
940  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Bitcoin Investment in Nigeria on: November 13, 2023, 08:35:04 PM
Bitcoin investment dey very important for this our society and  any person wey don get the knowledge of bitcoin and invest go benefit from bitcoin.
I dey sabi see this thread for this forum wey people dey compare real estate investment and bitcoin investment, even for social media most people dey compare this two sometimes but I see no need comparing the both because both get their differences. But for me as a Nigerian I think bitcoin investment is very important so I will choose bitcoin investment. Bitcoin investment na 50/50 but I still prefer bitcoin investment and any person wey reason this matter for Nigeria go prefer bitcoin investment.
Reasons why bitcoin investment is important in Nigeria:
Firstly let me compare the issue about real estate investment and bitcoin investment.
  • before owning an estate, we need to consider the land and most land for Nigeria dey very low due to the nature of the land, so person wey wan buy land for estate investment needs to consider this factors, like for my state the land them low wella so any little rain water dey come underground for some area and people wey find themselves for this kind area and them wan build estate how person wan do?
  • flooding for Nigeria na the common thing wey dey affect houses but I thank God say this year the flood wahala no come. Everybody know say when this flood don come e dey enter houses and e dey affect estate (building) and e dey affect estate owners too because people go pack out, but in my own view na investors dey face the major challenge.
  • After this flood the house no go get beauty again and the house no go dey attractive and estate owners get bring back that beauty of the house with huge amount of money like painting the house
  • Secondly most people no go like to live for area wey dey flooded every year because of the stress of packing and other things so why not find another estate wey no dey flooded, me personally if I find estate wey flood dey enter every year me self no go rent that house because I hate stress, how do I mean by the stress, most people no sabi swim for this country and in times like this things dey happen even who sabi swim is not advisable due to the erosion so is better to avoid flooded areas, so if everybody dey run from flooded area/house how the investors wan do and this na the common challenges estate owners dey face for Nigeria that's why I prefer bitcoin investment cause is more secure and safe. No be for only naija other countries wey dey engage for war and fight, bringing down of buildings with bomb etc. Just like the war going on in israel and Palestine, so for that kind country I no advice any person to choose real estate investment
  • in Nigeria, mostly my locality, estate investment is not lucrative and as I said, there are many factors that affect estate investment, hotel owners in my city are also complaining the low patronage by customers, therefore bitcoin investment is preferable in this generation.
While bitcoin investment has to do with you and your money no other person to control your money. The only thing person need to know before investing na to get knowledge of bitcoin/ investment, how to secure your seed phrase, keep your bitcoin holding a secret, stop following social media influencers trying to advertise crypto(bitcoin), ignore unknown contacts discussing about bitcoin investment. Bitcoin investment has to do with privacy and smartness.
I saw a thread talking about bitcoin investment and Dangote, saying if Dangote had invested on bitcoin earlier he would have been the 6th richest man in the world and that's just the truth, but as I reason this matter no be only Dangote, our politicians too. Naija politicians na people wey sabi hide their wealth normally EFCC no dey allow them rest when it comes to property and wealth, we fit testify say most of our politicians has been arrested just because of their wealth and just if our politicians can invest half or little of their wealth on bitcoin it would have been better rather they keep using dollar, I see bitcoin as a private investment, if you no tell person, person no go know so I don't think EFCC can verify these politicians money on crypto(bitcoin), I don't know if our politicians have the knowledge about bitcoin cause I made my research and I saw a news where ex vice president professor Yemi Osinbajo was addressing Nigeria government not to ban bitcoin but bitcoin should be regulated.
Even if CBN government no wan accept crypto(bitcoin), they cannot change the fact that Bitcoin as a decentralize currency is more better than fiat. Nowadays we don't trust bank workers anymore, sometimes  I see stories online how bank workers scam customers
