I had thought it was on just the bid side, but looks like its both sides. See Ask 2.99

There is definitely a bot 'flashing' orders of ~3300 coins at a few levels on both sides of the book.

The issue could be in the initial synchronization of the poll-based full order book and the socket-based real time updates. I am working on a more precise way of achieving sync for these data sources, but it's not ready yet.

As to why the depth is building up over time, I couldn't say. I know there was a version of code deployed at one point with a serious flaw in the order book (getting volumes > 21M at points), but I fixed it a while back.

But there could be a person just piling up a ton of orders on certain prices...

Looks like its working well now.  As always, thanks. Donation on its way. Smiley

Those coins are moved constantly.

Anyone else having strange volume bugs?  They seem to double up and go back after a refresh.

I just got a message about this and deployed a bit of new code that fixed another bug.

What settings were you using when you saw the bug? (price grouping, show depth in console, etc...)

I had thought it was on just the bid side, but looks like its both sides. See Ask 2.99

931  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Power Saving Tip - CPU Core Speed on: December 06, 2011, 05:40:44 AM
If the machine is a standalone miner you can set the max cpu usage in the power options in windows.  I was thinking for people wanting to use their computer while mining.
932  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Power Saving Tip - CPU Core Speed on: December 06, 2011, 05:30:24 AM
I know nothing Linux.  So I just wanted to make sure.  Adjusting the priority does nothing either?
Adjusting priority ?  If nothing else run this will run 100%,

Anyway limiting to a single thread is a very partial solution, 50% on dual cores.

Ah, I see.  I have not been on any machines to test with a single core.  So what about setting up a user account with a cpu quota set in the registry to 50% (which i think is the lowest). Just thinking outside the box here if the AMD tool doesn't work for Intel chips.

933  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Power Saving Tip - CPU Core Speed on: December 06, 2011, 05:22:41 AM
So this 100% CPU bug everyone is talking about.  Its just an issue with Linux i'm assuming since its easy to limit the cores for an application in Windows.
You think it's hard to specify cores on linux ?

What if I have only one core ?   Like a 3.4ghz Pentium 4 consuming ~120watts ?

I know nothing Linux.  So I just wanted to make sure.  Adjusting the priority does nothing either?

I see a lot of people still talking about it and just wanted to make sure everyone knew.

actually pirate, you previously mentioned you would have some kind of online statement viewable 'by the end of the month'... any news on that?

Yes, I'm just about done with the site. I had to hack a prebuilt cms software to get it all to work which I thought would save time. Instead its been more work than I excepted. All while having a death in the family and a new addition to the family (brother's son). I would like to say in the next week ill have it published but I'm unable to guarantee it just yet. I can send you an export of your account if you would like that to review the information for the duration until the site is up.

My orders for coins continue to increase with frequency and size.  At this time another 1100 BTC is available in the storage plan.  This number will be adjusted in the OP as space allows.

Thanks again to everyone for helping make this work so smoothly. Enjoy the rewards. Smiley
