921  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is merit necessary for my survival here on: December 24, 2023, 02:02:35 PM
To my own understanding, merit isn't a criteria for survival here, it's mainly for the growth of your account, but what you really need for survival is not to break the forum rules, so your account wouldn't be ban.
And you also have to have some knowledge about Bitcoin and others, and be willing to learn from people above you in terms of knowledge if you want to engage in meaningful conversation.
922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: December 24, 2023, 12:29:27 PM
In gambling it's really difficult to see the owner of the gambling site, company, business owners gambles because they didn't sees it as the best way of making money, they prefer owning it, because that's where the money is.
They are already aware that the possibility of winning is like 95% to 5%, unless they just want to try their luck, and they do it with just a few bucks.
923  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Economic benefits of lifting the ban placed on cryptocurrency on: December 24, 2023, 12:05:32 PM
The economic benefits wey we dy expect much, but one thing I observe way don dy happen already na the naira appreciation against dollar, before this event, 1 dollar was1220 naira but now na 1165 naira, I know say in due time, our naira go still get more value small due to this new development.
924  Other / Beginners & Help / You only got what you deserve on: December 24, 2023, 11:53:09 AM
In cryptocurrency generally you only got what you deserve, we might complain of how bad  or the terrible experience you have had during trading or holding the wrong asset, but in reality you only got what you deserve.
Look at those that have DCA into Bitcoin over the years, right now, they will still be in profit because that's what they deserve, you might decide to hold an alt and let go at the right time and come out profitable, because of the knowledge you have on how to navigate your way in the crypto space make it deserving.
You might decide to lose your money by holding shit coin, instead of Bitcoin because of your lack of knowledge in the crypto space.
If you still want to keep holding Bitcoin, which means you believe in it, so when the bull runs comes and you start reaping your rewards, you deserve it.
Because you were patience enough to hold the right currency which is Bitcoin.

As a newbie or experience trader, if you decide to do revenge trading, emotional trading or high leverage trading, and you lose everything, that's what you deserve, because you lack the knowledge and discipline required to know when to stop and when to continue.
In this space we all get what we deserve.
925  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your take on this? on: December 23, 2023, 08:33:42 PM
It's really a very good development, though this is not the administration that place a ban in it, but they are doing this to cover for their failings in other sector of the economy.
But never the less, it's really a good news for crypto enthusiastic in Nigeria.
926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 23, 2023, 06:34:21 PM
It's really an interesting encounter between Liverpool vs arsenal, it's half time, are they are playing out a 1-1 draw, but the var officiating has really been bad, why would they not call back the penalty incident, a clear hand ball from ordegard.
But as it's stands now, it can go either side, it's a close tie no doubt, but if their is a winning in this game, I see Liverpool coming out victorious.
927  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: cNGN, a consortium-backed stable coin on: December 23, 2023, 04:04:50 PM
Truly as we usually say, naija no dy carry last. As I saw this I was impressed actually, but I still have a bitter sweet feeling about it.
The sweet feeling is as a typical Nigerian I feel proud when a Nigerian or any group of Nigerian is making us proud, but the bad feeling is if people can have trust in it.
Just look at E- naira, you need to be Altra good in marketing to convince someone to put his or her money there, base on how the value of naira is.
So I just hope this one is different.
928  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Back to loss glory on: December 23, 2023, 03:46:22 PM
Hmmm, i can still remember that good old days when dicipline was the other of the day, anyone can dicipline a child if he or she messed up, but now, almost all the teenagers have already eaten the forbidden fruit, so things have changed, and our society isn't as safe as before, people are focusing more on security base on how  unsafe the society is now.
929  Economy / Economics / Re: India is the new economic leader of global south. And replacement for China?... on: December 23, 2023, 03:12:03 PM
I think it is very much possible, but it will take indian more than a decade to reach the height of china in terms of industrial output.
Look at china's industrial system, and recently they are forming a very strong relationship with Russia who have the raw materials required to take there economy and trades the a different level.
I really do believe that it will take india years to even match their industrial output, but as for now India is not ready yet for such a position now.
930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 22, 2023, 08:37:23 PM
With the things are playing out in this early minutes of the game, it's very obvious that Aston villa will win comfortably, and besides shelfield utd away record have been awful.
They are one of the team I believe that will get relegated if their form doesn't improves.
931  Economy / Economics / Why the us dollar might crash significantly on: December 22, 2023, 05:18:10 PM
As joe Biden administration is planning to sieze the Russian central bank asset worth 300B us dollar to fund the war in Ukraine, it may sound logical but it is a move that will not only distabilize the world financial system, but it will also make almost all none western countries around the world to shift away from the dollar, euros currencies as foreign reserves, because no body will see such an event taking place and not taking actions to preserve it asset.
This to me is a very wrong move that will kill the trust that existed between the west and global south.
Major countries around the world will definitely interpret it this way, today it's Russia, tomorrow it will be us, and that action will crash the value of dollar and euros around the world.

932  Economy / Economics / Re: Which do you prefer on: December 22, 2023, 03:40:46 PM
Working for person had never been my thing, I prefer running my business on my own, but in life you must have to serve to be served. You must have to work for someone to raise capital for your business aspirations.
Fine in business you might incure some losses at some point in time, but I really do prefer something that reward me base on performance, because I know that I can earn more.
933  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most Traders are Not Profitable on: December 22, 2023, 03:30:54 PM
In my own point of view, 95% is way too much, at least 90% is ok.
I have been trading for quite some time now, and I can testify that even though I have got some losses at some point in time, but I am still profitable.
There are so many good traders I know very well in  the business that are profitable, even though there profit wouldn't be that much, but at least they are not at the losing end of the market.
934  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Reflecting on the Devaluation and Disappearance of Naira Notes" on: December 22, 2023, 10:59:08 AM
Brother man, as you dy tlk about this 5 naira issue I just dy reason wetin 5 naira fit buy, I don crack my brain tire, I don finally observe say nothing you fit use am for, when I reason say common 10dollars na 12k, I just dy wonder where our country economy dy go, because as times goes on, by the look of things, 10 naira self go dy useless after now. Chai our government which kind pattern be dis, we dey complain of the past administration, now dis current one come even worse, na only God go help us.
935  Other / Politics & Society / women goes through a lot when they don't get married on: December 21, 2023, 11:44:43 AM
Is marriage a do or die afair? Because most culture and ways of life has made it look like it. women to a man is not just a companion but also a helper. In some part of the world it's a very big deal if a woman is not married when she is up to marriageable age, women goes through a lot in that aspect when not married, she will be talk down on, direspected, she will receive all manner's of insult just because she is not married.

I knew of a woman that in her family it's only her that didn't got married, she is being treated badly  even her household members, they always try to mock her at every slit opportunity, because she is more than 50years of age now.

To me the most ugliest part of it is that in some part of the world,  women are not given part of their inheritance, it's only the male child, they believe that woman will get married and have a new home.

The most painful part of it is even the ones that got married and found their self in an abusive marriage, will find it difficult to walk away because she doesn't want to stay unmarried. Please let's all of protect our women, they also have the right to live.
936  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance withdrawal fees are too high, what do I do? on: December 21, 2023, 08:30:53 AM
Brother a lot have already been said already, if you can't wait for the fee to come down, then covert it ato a stable or more reliable alt then withdraw, but it better to be on a safer side to avoid story.
937  Economy / Trading Discussion / You lose more when you over trade on: December 21, 2023, 08:07:38 AM
Most trader expecially newbies think crypto is a get rich quick scheme, and they feel very excited and motivated to enter the market more believing that it's going to make them rich by over trading, they don't know that quality beats quantity every day.

They just can't wait for the market to come to them, they always chase the market and when they finally blown their account, they start saying trading is a scam or it's gambling, no bro, trading Is more about knowing the craft and be disciplined enough to wait till the market comes to you (your strength).
The most funny aspect is that they think that the more they trade, the more money they make. Trading is not like that, you calculate your loss first before your profit

Me I dont trade if the market doesn't come to me, if I don't sees the right setup I don't trade at all, even if it takes a month without trading, it's better for me to wait and be profitable than to lose my capital, stay discipline and be profitable.
938  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is leading crypto exchanges in 2024? on: December 21, 2023, 07:52:44 AM
For the past 4years I have been trading, I use binance exchange because the first thing that goes into my mind before putting my money anywhere is security, how secure is my money, and binance is well placed for that.
939  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does technical analysis work in crypto trading? on: December 21, 2023, 07:40:50 AM
I don't think their is anything that beat technical analysis when it comes to trading, it gives you a clear insight of the price the action and it possible next move, those people talking about smart money  are only saying it because they as institution they comes together to move the price of an asset to their advantage, unlike you and me that is a retail trader, that the best we can do if we want to be profitable is to analysis the market properly and moves according to the structure of the market.

You are just 5months old in the business, you really do have a lot to learn, with time you will learn the hard way, and you will stop listening to people that knows nothing about trading.
940  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How diverse is your crypto portfolio? on: December 20, 2023, 10:20:30 PM
Diversify? No, I had only two ways of doing things since I came into the crypto industry, hold only Bitcoin because it's a rear gem 💎if not i prefer trading because that is where I find joy in .
