922  Economy / Speculation / Re: After the Correction...Will Bitcoin Fly? on: May 27, 2017, 11:07:07 PM
I don´t expect another pump, I think there will be a few months with a stabilized price until the next rally when bitcoin will reach the $3500-$4000 range. Possibly this will occur at the beginning of the next year.
923  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin was at 2500$ on: May 27, 2017, 06:48:33 PM
The correction was to be expected after the long bitcoin rally. If we observe well we can see that the correction has not only affected bitcoin but also the main altcoins. This is because investors put a lot of money into the cryptocoins market and they are taking profit now, surely they will buy back later at a cheaper price. At the moment the price should stabilize between $1800 - $2250

925  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you buy Bitcoins using Paypal? on: May 24, 2017, 10:22:49 PM
Apart from the aforementioned Localbitcoins or Paxful there are some exchange that allow you to buy bitcoin with paypal like Cryptonit.
926  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Project ideas on my mind! on: May 24, 2017, 09:16:17 PM
The second idea is the one that has more future and that can generate more benefits. The first idea can work, there are actually websites that offer that kind of service where you can pay someone to go to shopping or to the supermarket to do your shopping but the second idea is better. The adoption of bitcoin is growing every day, the integration of bitcoin in online and offline commerces is a matter of time and merchants will be very willing to incorporate these processors that allows customers to pay in bitcoin while they receive local currency and are not exposed to possible decreases in the price of bitcoin. It's a niche with a lot of future, I would focus there.
927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Watch cinemas using bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 06:56:41 PM
I wonder how they will deal with the transactions delays. The can´t force people to buy tickets one week before and they can´t force them to pay high fees. I guess once the transaction is in the blockchain users will be able to watch the movie although the transaction is not confirmed yet. I guess Gocoin will take charge of this. It would be good for them to reach an agreement with some mining pool to put these transactions into a block.
928  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UFO flies from North Korea over border with South on: May 24, 2017, 06:18:27 PM
The drones are very useful for espionage, are hard to detect and can be inserted in almost all the desired places. This has been detected because South Korea is in a state of constant alert and waiting for acts of espionage, surely they also do because all countries spy other countries. With a dron you can obtain valuable information about your neighbor country, for example thanks to this dron North Korea knows where the South Korean troops are, how many units there are and what is their response time.
929  Economy / Economics / Re: Fidelity adopts bitcoin! on: May 24, 2017, 03:43:58 PM
The most interesting is what lies behind this. If Fidelity is mining bitcoins it´s because it´s thinking of bitcoin as an investment. They will have done their analysis and will come to the conclusion that Bitcoin's price will be higher in the future so they want to have bitcoins. They have two options, to buy or to mine. Taking into account the current price and calculating the mining costs they are testing with this option because they think it will be more profitable for them. On the other hand accepting bitcoin in their cafeteria allows them to study closely their daily operation while exploring how to make microtransactions. Their cafeteria is like a testing lab.
930  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a pump going on? on: May 24, 2017, 02:58:05 PM
I think the price of Bitcoin is normal right now. I remember earlier this year there were people like Vinny Lingham who predicted Bitcoin would reach $ 3000 this year if it solved the scalability debate. At that time it was not known that Japan was going to accept Bitcoin as legal payment method, we have seen the impact this has had on price. On the other hand the Bitcoin Scaling Agreement can be seen by many investors as a solution or an approach to the solution of the problem of scalability. For all this is normal for the price to rise. Also you have to take into account that the price of Bitcoin is rising but also the price of other coins is rising too, everycoin is rising right now, any coin receives a pump, it would be more logical to expect a dump of the altcoins before bitcoin.
931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: May 24, 2017, 10:00:46 AM
https://www.deepdotweb.com/2016/01/23/bitcoin-playing-an-increased-role-in-crime-europol-says/

Would you believe that the existence of bitcoin has increased the number of criminality in  some countries in the world. This is the issue that was being thrown by the EuroPol and the UK Metropolitan Police. According to them bitcoin has played a huge role on the increasing criminality in their area. They added that a huge number of cybercriminals were using bitcoins in their activities.

This just shows that as bitcoin develops both advantages and disadvantages will tag along.

They are not saying that there is more crime because of bitcoin but criminals are increasingly using bitcoin and that´s why the cryptocoin plays an increasing role. Are two different things. Anyway there were already crimes before bitcoin and criminals received payments with dollars or euros and were not caught.
932  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World War 3 on: May 23, 2017, 11:37:43 PM
The largest nuclear power in the United States. Russia from her behind. But I think that there is no difference if the potential of both these countries will be enough to several times destroy the whole earth. I'm sure that nuclear war will not be as it is impossible to win.

That is wrong. Russia is having more number of nuclear weapons and nuclear-tipped ICMBs when compared to the United States. The other nations such as China are far behind.

I think superpowers accumulate atomic bombs as an element of dissuasion, not really to use them. Nowadays the scenario of a nuclear war seems unlikely because it would take the world to the apocalypse. Even when anti-missile shields have been developed, it would only take 1% to fail for a global disaster to occur. Current atomic bombs are much more powerful than those that were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The one of Hiroshima was of 15 kilotones, the one of Nagasaki of 21 kilotones. Today there is Castle Bravo of 15,000 kilotones and the Tsar Bomb of 50000 kilotons. In this graph you can see the comparison based on the nuclear fungus that these bombs produce.
933  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: May 23, 2017, 10:46:11 PM
Young people is not going to invest all their money in anything thinking about the future because they need it now for their plans. Even if they live with their parents they will want to travel, go party and at one point rent a house. But still they could make small monthly investments. Take the amount they spend on a weekend or a small part of their salary and buy bitcoin every month to have it stored as a kind of pension plan or investment fund looking to the future. If the price continues to rise over the years they will obtain a good profitability.
934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Monitoring WannaCry hackers' bitcoin addresses in real time on: May 23, 2017, 10:15:37 PM
This must be an awesome post for a change! That’s fascinating! I just checked one of the addresses and there is around 26 grand in that one address so they must have quite a lot by now. I wonder though what mixer would ever accept that much money and it would sure take a long time for the money to be laundered. Of course you also would have to do it with multiple launderers so I don’t know what their plan is.

Obviously, they don't need to launder all that amount at once

Moreover, even if some mixer could process that many bitcoins (which is not that many really, to tell the truth), it simply doesn't make sense to dump all these coins all at once unless the hackers are 100% certain that they won't be soon parted with their "hard-earned" and "well-deserved" bitcoins. If they are not so sure (which might well be the case), it would make sense to divide the spoil into small portions and launder them separately and cautiously. Other than that, they might not be interested in cashing out altogether
For example buying $50 Monero for BTC in one round and selling them later for bitcoins. Repeat every week and discharge on exchange slowly. 100% guarantee of anonymity, but it works only if you have bitcoin business.

Well, you seem to be missing something here

Or maybe it is just me. So how are you going to buy Monero if your bitcoins are tainted? By tainted I mean the bitcoins that come from the wallet which the victims of this ransomware have been sending their monies to. There is no guarantee that your bitcoins won't be confiscated when you try to buy something with them. Indeed, you can sell them off the market to someone unsuspecting, but by doing this you will just expose them to the same risk of having their coins taken (though the hackers wouldn't give a fuck about that, obviously)

Even if they were fast enough to avoid confiscation they would be leaving a trail. The IP with which they would register and connect in the exchange, the operations made and bitcoin address to which they would make the withdrawal later.
935  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a new World Central Bank on: May 23, 2017, 06:09:36 PM
While people invest in alts and tokens, many treats BTC as 'stable' investment. For example, many ICOs make ESCROW in 40% BTC and then other coins.

Do you think BTC unwittingly took the role of the central bank in relation to other coins (detail, consumer 'banks')?

No, because a central bank lends money to other banks in exchange for an interest, sometimes very low. In ICO, bitcoin is used as the means to buy tokens or altcoins, instead of buying them with fiat money people buy with bitcoin because it´s much simpler and is the main currency in the world of cryptos and that everyone uses. To give an example, it´s as if the tokens were shoes and bitcoin the money with which you buy the shoes.
936  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Impact of drinking alcohol. on: May 23, 2017, 04:38:12 PM
In my opinion drinking alcohol cause some trouble to us. Some accidents is cause of drinking lot of alcohol. It's better to control it and not to drink to much. I just drink alcohol for some occasion, and family/friends bonding.
If we had discipline to our selves you think accident will come to us? Drinking too much will cause trouble for sure.. It is true no one can troll there selves fi they drunk too much but when you drink moderately you can avoid this things tho. 2 bottles of beer is enough and get home and get some well sleep.

One of the problems with alcohol is that it provides a false sense of security and control. When someone takes the car after drinking alcohol doesn´t think that he is drunk or that he is bad, normally thinks that he is well, that he controls, that he can handle the situation, even when it´s not true. One of the greatest lies is to think that you can drive after drinking little because nothing will happen, there´s not a safe amount, even to the same person the same amount of alcohol can affect him differently on different days, depending on his physical condition, tiredness, what he ate that day, etc. With this issue you don´t have to take risks, especially when the consequences often fall on others, if you drink, don´t drive, never.
937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Perceptions about Bitcoin on: May 23, 2017, 04:11:57 PM
What can be done to change this? Make BTC more user friendly? More appealing to general public?

We have to do nothing, it´s just a matter of time. What is happening in Japan will happen in every country and every place in the world. There are more and more merchants, stores and companies accepting bitcoin everyday, you can even buy a plane ticket or book a hotel with bitcoin, soon people will be able to pay with bitcoin at the supermarket and they will see bitcoin is not a black currency or anything like that.
938  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: May 22, 2017, 04:28:47 PM
...

Defense spending is the most controversial of them all. For example, the majority of the American taxpayers remain opposed to spending the tax revenue on reckless invasions of third world nations, such as Iraq and Libya.

The money spent invading Iraq could have bought cheap housing for 90% of America's homeless, and still be money left over to feed 10 million hungry people in the 3rd world for 10 years. Pulled those numbers out of my ass but they are probably close.

A couple years ago, I heard that the cost of eliminating world hunger was $30 billion a year.  US "defense" spending is at $700 billion currently I believe.  And lol @ using the word defense, when it none of it takes place on US soil...everything is initiating offence on foreign soil.

Not sure how many people aren't getting adequate food and water, but one year without making guns, bombs, tanks and fighter jets...would give approximately 23 years of food and clean water...and probably a sustainable infrastructure that could provide it for even longer (water filtration + farming infrastructure).  But who needs that when you have the mother of all bombs?

War is a business where some die for others to make money. Arms manufacturers, military contractors, construction companies that are in charge of post-war reconstruction works, oil companies, etc. War is disguised of ideals such as peace or democracy but in reality it´s just a business, this is why wars are made in countries with oil or other natural or geostrategic resources. Something similar happens with hunger and poverty. Hunger and poverty allow large companies to set up their factories in these countries for a wretched salary, hunger and poverty serve to have weak countries whose natural resources can be easily dispossessed and also serve to create the kind of baldness that generates civil wars, which are also a business.
939  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 22, 2017, 04:02:59 PM
Bitcoin above $2700 in South korea, 2808 at korbit. In Japan $2535 at bitFlyer. If someone is able to buy at Bitstamp to sell in one of these exchanges he will be making a nice profit. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#markets
940  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: If you had 50.000$ what Bitcoin project would you do? on: May 22, 2017, 02:39:41 PM
I don´t know if the question is about investing in an existing bitcoin project or investing in creating a bitcoin project. If it were the latter, it would create a platform for sending humanitarian aid to catastrophic or conflict areas. Many times when people send money they don´t know if their money will really reach the needy people or if there will be someone who will steal some of this money. With this platform, which would have an associated token, people could buy the token with their money and send it to the NGO account at the place of the catastrophe. This destination account would be fully verified so that it would be safe for all money sent to reach its destination. Once there, the NGO could sell those tokens for fiat money that they could withdraw through a local bank account.
