922  Other / Off-topic / Re: The first social media you ever used? on: May 16, 2015, 04:24:23 PM
Facebook. Back then I just registered my account to opt out from email invitations.
Nowadays I'm still not really into social media.

924  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really think bitcoin price will pump to 1000 dollars after.... on: May 16, 2015, 11:26:24 AM
When it reaches 1k again I will buy 1 bitcoin for $1000 to celebrate.

Nothing is happening. Undecided
926  Economy / Speculation / Re: Those who were around in 2010/2011, any accurate predictions (in retrospect)? on: May 15, 2015, 04:48:11 PM
It is great fun to read through past posts.
What all long term predictions come down to in the end: Nobody knows. It is hard enough to predict next week's price.

Fontas' Namecoin pump on btc-e. Those were the days man. I feel old.

I'm planning to buy back in on Sunday. I'm looking for the ~220's.

Why the hell would anyone sell at 236?

The latecomers who missed the initial dump from 244. Someone always sells at the bottom
I think we will see 220's also in a couple of hours.
931  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 13, 2015, 10:17:30 PM
What support will hold? Personally for now I feel like 220 is solid support.
932  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 13, 2015, 10:09:17 PM
what the hell is going on?

any bad news?
Contrary to popular belief the news has almost nothing to do with the bitcoin price.
It is all about the technicals (like overbought and oversold). People make a lot of money in this market. They decide what is about to happen next.

Also, you have to consider who is pushing the news at specific times. I'm pretty confident there is an agenda behind almost everything published by coindesk for example.

938  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 11, 2015, 10:42:41 PM
I'm afraid to buy-in because we seem to fall every time we touch ~245, but not by enough to risk going short... So I'm making NO money... Sad

I hope the market makes a strong move in either direction by Wednesday.
939  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you have what it takes to be online Poker Pro? on: May 11, 2015, 10:16:44 PM
I play poker sometimes with friends. I never tried online. I dislike online gaming in general because I love the social aspects of playing games.

I like to watch the World Series of Poker final tables but I'm probably not a good poker player. However, I'm successful at bitcoin trading which requires a lot of discipline and self-control. There are some similarities between trading and poker, as well as a lot of differences.
940  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here's the real reason the price swings around on thousand coin trades. (SECRET) on: May 11, 2015, 07:44:08 PM
I agree. The market has a paddle big enough to give anyone a spanking.

Trading BTC/USD is one of the most stressful jobs on earth. You have stress every single second.
Not everybody can survive. Cool
