921  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: sorry I have had enough of pcfli's hosting service. on: October 23, 2015, 04:10:44 PM
Just had a response after three days of trying to contact him ( I know he is busy, it was not a dig)

I just re-affirmed I just want out, I don't want a battle, I have no trust left, but some points I must make about this message.

Firstly, I am sorry but I don't understand anything in the bottom image, if someone could translate I would appreciate it greatly.

secondly, these units were acquired on the 02 sept, I have no idea why he is going on about nothing changed since 31 July?

thirdly, (this is just my opinion) but the top image looks altered.

fourthly, even tho one unit with my name on points to the pool in question, another unit with someone elses name shows it running on my pool, If this was the case then I would not have any down time as four units would be running on my pool.

I would not have a problem with an admin error, But this dodgy image shows four units running on my pool, where this is false.

sorry, lee, just get me out of your hands, I'm not sold here.
922  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [lee group]1980$! the sales of first batch hosted antminer s7(psu included) on: October 22, 2015, 05:54:53 PM

I understand that it looks like to be very strange that one of you miner was mining for Lee.

My personal experience over the 6-8 months with Lee always been good. He fixed my half working machine, compensate when he had too. I had a minor issue with the compensation process but we cleared the issue. We are talking only a few dollars. It wasn't a big deal at all.

The bottom line is there is not a lot of honest person running around Bitcoin business but I think Lee always been quite good with us. It might not be perfect but I highly doubt he would try to steal 2 days of mining from one of your S5 and risk his trust for something you can find be yourself by looking at your pool stats quite easily.

The 14.4 hours is just over half a day. Imagine something major happen and you only have 14.4 hours to fix it. In that perspective, this is isn't a lot of time.

This is just my 2 cents ;-)

I Hope you can find some peace with Lee hosting service !

I do hope your right, I just want out now, sorry, my trust is gone, think of it this way, 14.4hrs times however many units he is running, is also alot of extra income, I doubt there is a 3-4% unit failure per month, so with every other unit mining for him is a nice profit.

My point is, they should not be running on his pool at all....period!

but as I say, I do hope your right, the bitcoin industry all ready has an image of scammers, we need more legitimate businesses with longevity.

I had this happen to me once over the 9 months I ran a bunch of S5s here.  one of my S5s reverted back to the previous config (before me) and was working for Li for 2 days.  Li provided full compensation to me to cover the loss outside of the 14.4 allowed hours, no problem at all.  Have they corrected the issue yet?  Sometimes mistakes are made when the crew is working with hundreds of miners at a time.

yes, it's back on now, but this does not sound wrong to you? miners reverting back to lee's pool? same as mine. I might be seeing something that is not there, as someone who has been scammed of hundreds of BTC over the years I have been here, But I believe it's worth looking into, I have been pm'd by another user who has had this issue, then they "refund" when they get found out.

makes me think why they have a 14.4hr off time in the first place. thats alot of pool time IMO

I'm trying to keep my eyes open, If lee comes back with a legitimate reason, I will back down, I don't idly throw stuff around, I am not saying to leave his pool, I am not saying jump on my bandwagon, still plenty of happy people here.

sorry, my miners are switching pools, I just want to make this public, I find this outfit not professional for my liking, pleant of happy people still, but I am not convinced.

Meh, I use F2pool and it's pretty solid and has been for a long time. Maybe your pool connections are dodgy so pick a pool that works better with that miner. You can of course complain a lot too.

really, meh? would you like to pay for units to run on someone elses pool then?  Grin

EDIT - just so you know, I have set up a back-up pool, this pool it's on is not mine

I have found lees gear works best on f2pool I suspect you are running into China firewall issues.

so chinas firewall causes our miners to run on other peoples pools?  Cheesy

does anyone read my info or do you all guess I am off my rocker? Let me clarify in case I have not made it clear, upon purchasing a few miners I have set up a main pool and a back up pool for my miners, so if one fails, it should try to connect to the other pool, I received a screen shot from data centre showing clearly that one miner I was paying for was on a pool that I did not designate, it was not my pool, not my account, and not my miner ID, ergo, I am paying for my hashing power to be diverted to another user/person.

I hope I have made this a little clearer, please ask any points I have not explained properly.

928  Economy / Scam Accusations / sorry I have had enough of pcfli's hosting service. on: October 21, 2015, 04:21:57 PM
I like to outsorce my hosting as I live in the UK=high power costs.

so I thought I would try pcfli's hosting, I so wish I did not, I will explain all now.

I bought a few units of several different people and the units was set up on my pool in a fast way (I waited a day for pcfli to log on, but it was done in less than two hours)

there were some down time of units (units independently down, not a group) and I know there was a big bit of down time that was compensated.

but when the bill time came round (sept) I did not get an e-mail after confirming my e-mail address, my miners went off  Angry for three days.

I received the payment e-mail after some lies

lee where is my invoice, my miners have stopped.

I have PM'd you to sort this out.

just as the pool finds 4 blocks,  Angry

EDIT - anyone got any direct contact information, his e-mail seams invalid on his profile.

sorry squall1066, we sold miner yesterday, and some miner was effected, all effected miner should be restore today

then a pm, a day after???

we will send invoice to your email soon

so which is it???

there were some other miner problems about half hashing units, they got sorted, I wanted out at this point, but lee convinced me to stay, and to be honest, I am not the most luckiest person when it comes to mining.
on a side note, I was not compensated for the total of 4 days not mining, just the time they offically went down, but that was not the main point here.

over the last month, I have seen random miners going off for 3-6 hours a time (big problem for PPLNS pools) I have just paid another month but e-mailed to ask why one miner was not on for past 3 hours? I was shocked to receive this!

one miner is not on my pool, it just makes me think about the other times one unit was off for a few hours, you lot might want to check this out, I might have stumbled onto something here.

EDIT - for clarity, I have a back up pool set up, the pool one unit is on is not mine! so I am paying for my units to be on someone elses pool.

my miners have not changed any details.

so firstly I just want to make you all aware about this.

secondly, to pcfli, I want out, I want my months money back, and I need either a sale of these units to someone else or you buy them back off me, I don't care, I have lost faith in you.

thanks for reading, I will update as things progress.
929  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [lee group]1980$! the sales of first batch hosted antminer s7(psu included) on: October 21, 2015, 02:24:21 PM
mine just keep independently go off for a few hours then fine for a few days? never all off at the same time so it could be on independent lines?

I have not had the best experience here, I understand miners have bad moments, but as my pool is reward over time, I have lost a fair bit so far.

I will keep going, maybe I have had a run of bad luck.

anyone selling a s5 for a coin?

EDIT - they have changed one of my miners to another user/pool, this is a joke, I am not happy.

932  Other / Off-topic / Time for a CPU upgrade, is 2011 worth it? on: October 11, 2015, 08:14:28 AM
My system is long overdue an upgrade, I built it over two years ago I have the 1155 I3 2100 with a R9 280x, and you know what? it has run everything I needed!

Well until now, I use MSI AB to check gpu/cpu load and my cpu is not enough for some things. BTW I am a gamer but not the latest releases, I love skyrim/LOTRO/MWO/TF2 etc... so nothing too demanding.

The long and the short of it is, Can I really afford to move to 2011? I hear many games wont use more than four cores? so other than mobo bandwidth on memory/PCI-e, Can I justify the still outrageous prices?

So I am thinking just move to I7 on my 1155? will this last me another 3 years lol

When I try to download the blockchain, I get stuck on block 5000 (using source compiled from GitHub on Linux).

Are there any nodes on the "correct" fork I should be adding? Thanks!

EDIT: added nodes from http://www.multifaucet.tk/index.php?blockexplorer=SQL&network_info

Now I'm stuck at block 5500 - but at least it's progress  Wink

EDIT EDIT: OK, I just have to keep re-starting the client, and I get 500 blocks at a time before becoming stuck. I just wrote a script to automate this process, so hopefully I'll catch up in my sleep  Cool

yes, I have discovered this problem recently, sorry to everyone having this issue, I am working on it.
936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Squallcoin Giveaway !! on: October 02, 2015, 11:21:59 AM
Good offer I guess but I really can't be bothered to sign up to another forum get another wallet wait for the blockchain and post just for some Alt that will be forgotten with the rest.

hiya, thanks for the comment, Just so you know this coin has been "out" for nearly a year, It will not disappear as it is not a money making ipo/ico, this coin was built with my funds only, as long as there is a hand full of people that believe in my coin I will continue to provide what I can.

also, I normally do give always quite often, the sign up and wallet load will only need to be done once with this view  Grin

Big thanks for everaja for starting this thread  Smiley

So I just worked out this is a personal ad?

your list is very demanding, I dont see companionship there, is this more a business transaction?

you should also list what you are willing to provide.
