9221  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 4-year cycle is it real? Probable end year rally for Bitcoin on: March 28, 2019, 04:49:39 AM
I wouldn't be surprised if the upcoming halving is already priced in, with the next ATH not occurring until the halving of 2024. Crypto never fails to catch one off guard though.

I think purely the speculation and people's assumptions that the block halving will lift the price will make them buy in, especially if the price is trending up for a month or two straight. People buy into that what goes up, and whatever the reason is the price is going up, people link it to the most obviously available event, which again comes down to the block halving.

People will always assume in this market, I believed, how many assumed that the price would even go below 5 digits again, when we touch ATH last year? This market is really based on speculation and if they see the price started to rise after the next halving, and guarantee that they will opt to buy in again, pushing the market price again.

Bitmain recently stated that it plans to deploy 200,000 miners, which is something they wouldn't consider if they believed the price would stay more or less around the $4000'ish level. It's obviously not a guarantee that the price will explode, but at least these entities put their money where their mouth is with the insane risks they expose themselves to.

Maybe Bitmain knows something that we don't know,  Grin. Probably risking it, what do they have to lose? They have total monopoly of it, and at least a little risk might be worth in the next year or so.
9222  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much time you spend to read forum post ? on: March 28, 2019, 04:28:10 AM
Which one you like most?

1. Do you like to make your own post ?

Sometimes I shared post which I think can help the community, specially PSA's. My last post was about a Youtube advertising fake or a malware version of Electrum. But to my surprised, it was deleted . Sad

2. Do you like to spend time on reading forum post?

Definitely. Everyone should really spend a lot of time here reading around the community because you can really learn a lot, specially those members who have so much experience technically and I admire those guys. Usually before I go comment on certain topic, I click "All" and read the previous post to learn more about the subject matter and just add a few of my own in the discussions.
9223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 27, 2019, 05:33:53 AM
I'm imagining the bad fell that happened to him and it makes feel more than an ouch. Please recover fast Nurkic!

Enough for Nurkic discussion.

Let's discuss the Bucks vs the Rockets game, it ended up a win for the home team, bucks beating the Rockets (108-94)
and although Harden had a double double tonight but he did not score 30+ points, and we know what will happen if their main scoring machine is limited with that score only. Harden is consistent scoring 30+ points every game but got limited tonight, the defense of the Bucks are making it possible.

Correct, if Harden doesn't score 30+ points, then Houston has a problem. And we should give credits where it is due, to the Bucks swarming defense. You can check the stats, Houston just shot 35% from the field and went 16-52 from 3's very strange for Rockets. But then again, the defense is superb and not only that they created a lot of problem and turn-overs for Houston as well. So good game for the Bucks and really showing who is the team to beat in the East.

9225  Economy / Speculation / Re: 'Bitcoin will run up to $5,000 by May' on: March 24, 2019, 02:51:29 PM
Ok, so by the look of how market behaves today, it is very possible to reach that target mark on May. In fact I have see a lot of speculations regarding this one, and I dont want to believe not until the price settles to $4k.

It's behaving as it used to be. Stabilizing at certain price, (before it was $6k-$6.5) and then will break it either direction (last time though it was beyond our control as there is a hash war between BCH and BCH SV). But I do hope that if we ever make a break at this price it would be on the positive side so most likely $5k is can be reached by May.
9226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why does crypto keep screwing me over?? on: March 24, 2019, 07:50:44 AM
It seems that your first mistake is not having a lot of patience. Or maybe you really need to understand how the market works. Of course we can't really see the where the price is going, but at least you should research the coins you wanted to invest. I'm not familiar with "Wabi and KMD", so tell you the trust I won't invest on any coins that I'm not familiar with. Perhaps the best thing to do your you and just hold on your coins or at least put your money in the top 10 altcoins. Don't invest on shitty coins, which purpose is just for pump-and-dump.
9227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 24, 2019, 07:29:49 AM
You guys know what's happening with the warriors?

Mavericks just hit them hard, 108 - 70 3rd Q ( I thought my scoreboard is wrong)

This was a good steal for bettors if they beat on the Mavericks beating the warriors.
Luca did the magic tonight, triple double already.
Full time GSW 91 - 123 Mavericksi very bad perform Warriors
I seen how they play today Mavericks is doing great in this match so it doesn't make sense and I can't think that Mavericks can defeat a Warriors

Yeah, I was surprised to read the score. But then again, Curry didn't play and decided to take a rest. It was a off-night that they hit 4-out-of-30 from three point area, very unexpected of them. And that lost put them in the second spot now behind the Denver Nuggets.
9228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: https://www.banknoteworld.com/ is now accepting Bitcoin on: March 24, 2019, 07:00:05 AM
It does not mean anything to Bitcoin as a currency, it means, we accept any money as long as we can convert it into US dollars or any paper currency.

Personally though, I think if you can used bitcoin as currency, then it means a lot as we all know that it was originally designed to be used as payment method. And as long as you can used it to buy online then there nothing wrong about it.

Many individuals and companies have deliberately become this kind of acceptance because it provides a large market for those who are not using their bank cards or the recent problems plagued by PayPal.

Win-win situation for them and for unbank crypto enthusiast.

As for BTC, it means that it has not been officially accepted since the site did not even refer to the cryptocurrency. "In other words, we are beginning to see a new kind of bank based on cryptos."

9229  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Search of an partner associate for Gambling Business on: March 24, 2019, 06:46:31 AM
I don't think you need a partner. What you need is to just hire someone to market your gambling business here like promoting your site through signature campaign and that's it.
9230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: https://www.banknoteworld.com/ is now accepting Bitcoin on: March 23, 2019, 06:33:35 AM
Not the most bullish news out there, but adoption is always welcomed. I took a quick look at this website, and the bestsellers are banknotes from countries that suffered hyperinflation like Zimbabwe and Venezuela...interesting.

They ditch Paypal, and then replace it with Bitcoin.  Grin
This caught my attention as it's something that you don't see or hear very often...makes me wonder what was the reason to just stop using paypal, I bet it has something to do with chargebacks and whatnot. Either way, soon this will be the norm among all merchants around the world (:

Probably Paypal support is becoming worse by the day. I don't know if you guys are aware but eBay also abandoned Paypal since last year.

Why eBay abandoned PayPal for a smaller European competitor

EBay Rises to Record High on Shift to Adyen; PayPal Tumbles

Yeah, probably a good sign ahead for crypto enthusiast around the world.  Grin
9231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the Bitcoin Cash rise quickly? on: March 23, 2019, 06:13:14 AM
What have you seen with the growth of Bitcoin Cash in recent weeks? Looks like it's experiencing a pretty good growth with the price. What do you think if you have to compare it to Ethereum at the same time right now. Fix my opinion. Thank you all.

Obviously, bitcoin is rising so alts like ETH and BCH will go with it. However, the problem with BCH is that it's just another altcoin. And we all know that they are more prone to manipulation than BTC. There is nothing wrong with that though, as long as you can make more money out of it, then why not? But this is a BTC forum and majority here are bitcoin maximalist and prefer BTC over all other crypto currencies, just saying.
9232  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we are the beginning of a new bullrun? on: March 23, 2019, 05:15:40 AM
I don't know, maybe the best thing to do for us is just wait till it happens. We don't need to pressure ourselves because this bearish market has really taken a big toll for all of us. So if the bull run happen next month, then good for everyone. But let me remind everyone that the price we all wanted to see will not happen overnight. It will take months or even years before we can finally see another all time highs in the horizon. So let's just sit back and relax and wait for it to happen, eventually we will reach there.
9233  Economy / Economics / Re: KakaoTalk to integrate a cryptocurrency wallet on app on: March 23, 2019, 04:52:54 AM
Every news like this for the benefit of crypto should be taken in a positive way. KakaoTalk might have less users as compare to other messaging apps, but integrating crypto wallet is like a good marketing ploy for their services. Because we all know the more and more people are engaging in crypto and them adding a wallet will surely bring interest on their apps again, specially around the South East nations. So still a very welcoming news for everyone.
9234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / https://www.banknoteworld.com/ is now accepting Bitcoin on: March 23, 2019, 04:24:32 AM
I don't know if there are a lot of bitcoin enthusiast who are also into collecting bank notes all over the globe. If there is one then I'm happy to say that https://www.banknoteworld.com/ just started accepting bitcoin as well.

They ditch Paypal, and then replace it with Bitcoin.  Grin

It will go to the usual payment processor Bitpay upon checking out.

9235  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BETA] Coin Watcher - open-source and privacy-oriented crypto portfolio web app on: March 23, 2019, 03:48:31 AM
Ok thanks for the fixed.  Grin

I also had another test run on the apps (I used to be a software tester in my past life  Grin). This time I tried to test the Amount field:

So it seems to be accepting unlimited amount? I was thinking if this can possibly solve if we are going to get the max supply of every coin? I don't know if you can just hard coded it or just pull the data again from Coingecko?

I also got a 404 error earlier, I can't replicate my steps as to how I got the error but I was thinking maybe you are doing some updates on the code as you stated above.

And maybe you can include this in your pipeline:, a timer maybe on top of the left pane about the next Bitcoin and Litecoin block halving, that will be awesome!!!
9236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 22, 2019, 08:30:39 AM
Warriors look unbeatable now, again they win convincingly against the struggling pacers.
It was a 23 points win and all the starters are in double digit.
They didn't have high minutes tonight since they control this game, but with their form now and being healthy, looks like the 3-peat is coming.

The lead even ballooned to 32 points at one point if I'm not mistaken. Durant was sharp and it's funny to see Cousins after taking the rebound, bringing the ball down. He really did bring a lot on this team but there are moment in the game wherein I thought he will be injured again. Anyways, it's fun to watch Warriors playing defence as well and never give the Pacers any chance to steal this one from them.
9237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung Galaxy S10 Blockchain Wallet Supports Ethereum, not Bitcoin on: March 22, 2019, 07:56:58 AM
I guess it's their lost if they don't want to include bitcoin in their supposedly wallet. Or maybe including bitcoin is too complicated for them and could potentially compromise the security of their wallet. or maybe they think that there have been a lot of bitcoin wallets already in the market, than it doesn't make any sense for them to include bitcoin. Anyways, as I have said, majority of cyrpto enthusiast is into bitcoin and then prioritising them will be a disaster for Samsung.
9238  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BEARISH MARKETS on: March 22, 2019, 07:29:30 AM
Will there truly be another bearish market in July?  Huh

sure it could be. try to avoid holding risks - learn how to trade. that could bring you much more. that can actually bring you much more than nothing (profits of holding)

Lol, if you look at the date when the OP open this thread, it's May 2018 and I'm assuming that he is asking July 2018. However, we are in 2019 already but it seems the bear is still all over the market. And then again July is around the corner and at the rate of the market is going, I wouldn't be surprised if the bearish cycle will continue, although there is a lot of good news around, even the trading volume is going up so let's see. Let's hope that the bulls will comeback and take over the market once and for all.

9240  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BETA] Coin Watcher - open-source and privacy-oriented crypto portfolio web app on: March 22, 2019, 06:13:49 AM
Thank you for the share. I did some testing on your apps and here is what I found. I added the following coins:

Bitcoin - (BTC)
Etheruem - (ETH)
Infiniverse - (INF)

However, when I try to add another token with the same symbol or ticker as Infiniverse, - (Infinitus (INF), I got an error:

But if you look at coingecko,

There are indeed two ticker symbol INF, (as you are pulling data from coingecko). Perhaps this is just a minor defect, but I guess a fix is needed.

Edit: I also run virustotal and the URL: https://tiramisu77.github.io/CoinWatcher/ is clean.
