So I was thinking earlier today about how could we make this whole "bye week" thing suck a little less ass... and thought of proposing this: What if the league throws in a random/smaller amount of Monero into a pot each week, and whoever has the most points (excluding your bench, obviously) amongst everyone wins the pot. I thought something like this would be fun to do, and would allow everyone to "play for something" each week rather than a week that doesn't really mean anything. This is just something random I thought up of, and if no one else agrees to this, it's absolutely fine and we just won't do it... just thought I would throw the idea out there and get y'alls feed back. I was thinking something like 0.05-0.1 xmr per week per person? BTW anyone you willing to trade? I am going to be a waiver wire whore this year! Mehh... none of those players/Defenses sound very appealing to me, tbh. The only person I might consider is Demaryius Thomas. What type of player are you after? I like your idea of a "collective bounty" we can place for the high scorer every week although I am not sure what I can put towards it. I am in a very bad short position with all my precious ATM. But I really like that idea. I'll have to wait till the others chime in. AFA a s trading Demarious, I got him in the 6th round and this is the list of players you got after I drafted him so tell me who you would be willing to bargain with. Remember we can make trades with multiple players so it does not have to be a one wr for one wr. Of course I am assuming that you are not interested in trading players that you drafted before him if so you can add them to the list. In order of your draft after I drafted Demarious: DeAndre Hopkins - straight trade I would think is fair Tom Brady - Maybe a straight trade Dalvin Cook - we would have to do multiple players for a fair trade Marshawn Lynch - we would have to do multiple players for a fair trade Matt Ryan - we would have to do multiple players for a fair trade and I do not think i have room for him this week I of course would give you a ton for David Johnson or A.J. Green BTW: @CARL: I had TY Hilton selected when the autodraft grabbed Elliot for me just to let you know he was about to get snatched. And had Jorden Reed selected when auto grabbed crabtree for me Julio v/s Antonio choice was really tough one for me but Big Bens miserable road record and I think Falcons should step up after the superbowl disaster are the reasons I grabbed Julio. what would have been your choice? You also snapped up Devonta Freeman AND Dez Bryant right before me good moves! @Tecmo Bowlers I had Aaron Rogers set after TY Hilton when the autodraft grabbed Elliot for me just to let you know he was about to get snatched. Also Jay Ajayi was gonna be my next pick when you took him off the table! You also got Dvante before I could get him but I think he and Benjamin are pretty close and am not sure who';s got the higher upside. Adams has a better (FAR) QB but Benjamin doesn't have a lot of competition for the ball so it should be interesting to see which of those does better this season. @phishead you snagged Marshawn Lynch right before I could get him so I grabbed Montgomery, nice move! @JW Autodraft grabbed Emmanual Sanders right before I was gonna snag him. Also I couldn't decide between Hunt or Hyde and think I made the wrong choice (looks like with ware getting injured Hunt should really get a ton of snaps now!) I took a chance on Bennett as I think rogers is going to keep him fed and he's gonna get a lot TD's so if Jimmy Graham turns into a Dudd instead of a Stud He should slide right in or if Jimmy starts off sharp and Martellus also kicks butt I'll have some good trade equity with him. I had to grab 2 as a chip to play because of falling behind getting a QB. It was tough passing on Martavis Bryant to grab him so it should be interesting to see how my gamble pays off (or doesn't). I thought I could get Seattle D but again those 3 auto's messed my game plan up pretty well and T Bowlers made a very nice choice grabbing them at that point! So I jumped onto a Kicker a little early but gostowski is just fantastic and Getting one of the top3 kickers can actually really make a difference in a tight contest. I wanted the Chiefs D and thought I could sneak Gostowski in and grab them on the next pick But JW's autodraft was having none of that! Well thats my take on the entire draft! PHEW, I'd love to hear all you peops thoughts on your draft.

That draft was... interesting.
Seem like everyone got "good" or "stupid good" teams because of the fact that there were only 5 people. Hopefully this whole bye week thing won't pose a problem down the road. I guess we'll see how it goes and hope for more people next year.
Yeah, really with this few teams they are all stacked. And I think I may end up doing better streaming some players rather having drafted those positions. We learned alot from this one already and next year should be a snap. BTW anyone you willing to trade? I am going to be a waiver wire whore this year!

... I wonder how much of the recent Moonero Event was DOD/NSA/DEA Deep State insiders trading on the knowledge that only XMR offers better than military grade crypto. This is not true at all, why would you think such a thing? Or did you just make that up because it sounded cool? With that being said all crypto will have to hard fork new encryption eventually and Monero Crypto is far safer than BTC so BTC will have to do it first therefor when it is indeed needed then it will be no surprise and should not effect XMR at all. So Monero is the only privacy project The Octopus can't defeat. Good to know. Bullish! I wonder how much of the recent Moonero Event was DOD/NSA/DEA Deep State insiders trading on the knowledge that only XMR offers better than military grade crypto. Regardless, I expect moar mooon when this memo gets passed around in wider circles. Meanwhile, our clown friends at Dash have disabled InstantSend, because of an exploit in their supposedly bulletproof Masternode quorum security theater bullshit. Dash Developers Disable InstantSend on the Networkhttps://themerkle.com/dash-developers-disable-instantsend-on-the-network/fucking rekt roflmao The Dash issue is quite a big deal. Unprecedented. I am surprised the price has held up. All focus is on crazy speculation in the frothier cryptos atm, and people haven't yet woken up to the real issues. The re-ratings will come in due course. [/quote] LMAO @ Dashtard fail, Of course I can't short it because I'm all in on an ETH short that ia squeezing the shit out of me. So many bad choices this last week. Do you have a good link on Octopus? Good move IMHO...
Thanks for the support Thinking it over now, however... although my first instinct was to flip ALL of the Dash(LOL) over into Moaaarr Monnneerrooo! LOL I'm trying to be detached and unemotional again about my total portfolio balance here Plain fact remains, honestly I am probably too heavy into XMR: and -- truth be told -- yes, *we too* did have that "catastrophic bug" issue last year (very elegantly and astutely handled by our devs, once again big thanks for that, gentlemen). So as much as I love HoneyPony I do still need to *try* and stay diversified and balanced here. So, quick poll here boys: what do y'all think kinda looks good at the moment OTHER than XMR for me to put some of this liquidated Dash money into? Fiat for the moment would be my guess, try to hit a btc high point. I'm still convinced this is still in a bubble state and is not BTC floor. But I would guess the floor is not as low as most are calling it.

Holy crap. I've been gone for a while only to come back and check XMR's price. I really didn't expect it to be up some much in the last month 1/2.
Doesn't suck to pop in and see that kind of a hike! Now if I only knew how to crash ETH.

And it begins! Up for trade: Demaryius Thomas, Den WR Kirk Cousins, Wsh QB Vikings D/ST D/ST Post any players your willing to part with I'm ready to deal.

Dude, you want to push it to tomorrow? It's ok with me, anyway.
Besides, it would be great to find one other person to make it an even 6 teams.
But either way...
Meh, it's ok... way more of a hassle to last second reschedule a draft time tomorrow... plus it's kind of hard to get a bad team with only 5 players drafting. Hah I thought it was only 4 lol, But I was thinking the same thing! the problem we are gonna have is there are gonna be too many good players on the wire! no worries on our bye weeks lol. Edit: I asked about having an odd number of teams with bye weeks in the schedule and the best Idea I saw was to have 2 matches per week. I have no clue how that would get set up though.

I'm good for either of those days and times. Yeah ESPN is a real pita did a mock draft in both yahoo and espn and yahoo wins hands down. So it's tonight at 8pm EST? I can wait till tomorrow if JW can make it then and everyone else as well. Did anyone do a last minute post spam about this? I will be out in the yard and setting an alarm to draft so will not be responsive much. I will check back here in a few minutes to see what the final verdict is. No time for IRC right now. GOT this email Your ESPN Fantasy Football Draft is scheduled for September 5 at 8:00 PM ET but your league is not full yet. Monero FFL 2017 Be aware that if the league is not full at least one hour before the scheduled draft time, your draft will not be held and you will have to reschedule for another time.

@Hueristic
I will ask about Cryptopia's deposit practice re: CryptoNote coins.
Hah, I just went to take a look at them and what a load of shitcoins! I've never seen such a list of garbage. I checked Monero and the volume is a friggin joke! Volume: 2.72797913 BTC / 102.40950441 XMR Who the hell care if they delist. Their IP's are even on my blacklist. Lol

If that retard trump bombs NK then it probably will have an effect on the korean exchanges I'm sure what that effect would be though. He's such a retard he doesn't understand ignoring them and keeping them contained has been the best policy, saber rattling will just get alot of people innocent killed. Personally if he causes a nuke to go off I hope they manage to take him out, I don't think he's smart enough to understand he is a legitimate target by the rules of war.

Here is the Cryptopia response to me, regarding BCN. Maybe I misunderstood. Please advise if it makes any sense. If not, I can ask for clarification. It's a bit raw. It seems to be important to me, if it can cause problems for XMR's (and Aeon) down the road.
"You've basically got the right idea. Polo sends about 90% of their cryptonote transactions to us just fine, but they encrypt the payment IDs of the other 10% with some password we've not yet figured out. We tried to contact their support to explain what they were doing but much like their users, we've been waiting for months with no reply. We have a working theory that like us, Polo has issues with Cryptonote wallets timing out calls, and thus it's probably only the manually reprocessed transactions that are going badly - when you google it, in many examples of how to send transactions for Cryptonote, the user is instructed to use a password to encrypt the paymentid - we assume that whoever is redoing their transactions doesn't know what they're doing.
"There is 2 major problems with this for us. The first being that many smarter users starting watching the blockchain for encrypted payment IDs arriving at our addresses, multiple users would then log support tickets claiming that the transaction was theirs and that they should be credited. A single transaction with an encrypted paymentid doesn't create a single support ticket, it creates many. And so we just sent all the encrypted transactions back to Polo, we even paid the fees to do that, with the same encrypted payloadid hoping that Polo would figure out what we were doing and why, but, alas, nope. We then started getting user complaints that people were trying to move funds from Polo to Cryptopia, and that we were essentially rejecting their money and sending them to Polo's support to wait 3 months for shits and giggles.
"On one hand we get called thieves, and on the other we have users trying to leave Polo to come to us and having a very nasty first user experience which is out of our control. Either way, the support overhead makes us run at a massive loss to support Cryptonote coins, and the negative reputation we get for Polo's mistake made it a pretty clear cut "sorry, but this is why we can't have nice things", and is the reason that we don't accept new Cryptonote coins and are actively delisting the ones we do have. It's nothing to do with any KYC/AML requirements; it's nothing to do with the anonymity components of the coins/protocol; it's simply a bullshit sandwich being served up by Polo that we don't wanna eat anymore. Worth noting is that for whatever reason, this issue doesn't happen nearly as much with XMR (like 0.5% of the transactions vs 10%), I dunno why."
Yes Polo has become a shit show. They grew too fast and did a piss poor job of the order in which they did it. I hate kraken for a few reasons but I received a great email from them stating they would be closing advanced margin options and delisting pairs to lower overhead because of the growth of the market in order to curb those same growth issues, that is how a professional site reacts. Now with that being said Why the fuck is cryptopia (which I've bever used) not using multiple wallets addresses for users? Why don't you tell them to step up and they won't need to even worry about payment Id's. Jesus such a simple solution everyone else has figured out why are they so behind the curve?

So how about we go with Sunday (Sept. 3rd) at 3 PM EST?... I will set that as draft time as for right now, and if there are issues for anyone, please let me know ASAP (preferably within the next two days).
Shit! thats the one time I can't make. this sun and mon I will be tied up until about 8pm est (your basing all times off of EST right?). I can do that time next week or during the week from tues on. So the only problem with that will be that the first NFL game starts Thursday, September 7th... sooo... I'm assuming you want to do Tuesday? Any one have a problem with Tuesday at like 5 or 6 PM EST? Edit: How are you guys pre setting an autodraft? I want to set mine up some kind of way to pick how I want in case I get called back into work. Edit #2: I have set up the draft right now at September 5th (Tuesday), @ 6 PM. That time looks good to me, I tried to setup the autodraft and it's not that hard to shuffle guys that are on the screen but it took about 3 minutes for me to move one guy from 400th to 100th so trying to add possible rookies is just not worth the effort. The interface blows, but we are stuck with it this year. Maybe somone knows how to change draft positions faster than dragging and dropping? If you hit the down arrow the guy goes to the bottom of the list, I tried to move a guy down and he went from a top 10 pick to 1500th! I see an upload option but have no clue how to use that. Ohh I did a test draft and the shockwave wouldn't work but they have a choice of using a livedraft page which looks like it's html coded and that worked but the timer was horrible. 30 seconds is too short when your in the middle rounds and trying to scroll down to find a guy, there is just not enough time. Do a mock draft and check it out.

Fucking Polo cooler-ed the pump. I hope the weak hands all get shaken out on this one. How so? They anticipated some, and sustained a higher price throughout the opening (still). bithumbers blew their wad early As soon as polo started selling thumb started dumping. I'm thinking it's a shakeout though. Too early for this.

30 minutes before the beginning of the bithumb's monero contest !!!
U guys think it Will just take off like that? The only safe bet is there will be an increase in volume today. Personally, I am not sure what direction we go. At least it will be interesting to watch. Yup, that seems to be the consensus. Good time to be in the Monero-Markets channel. BTW for those of you that don't know JAXX wallet got hacked. Lol those guys are inept!

FYI most of us here find reddit structure difficult to use, I for one can never find my posts and replies and find it retarded that a bunch of shills can bump up crap while quality sinks to oblivion. I prefer a BBS top down structure where I can go back over a entire conversation just by clicking the hyperlink quotes and reading the posts around that quote for context. But I started in the 80's on BBS boards before the interwebs so that is just me. I also won't use fagbook or any other privacy invasive site. But It would be nice to see the new BCT software finally get completed.

is it still worth to buy monero?
I buy a small amount every week no matter where the price is and haven't regretted it yet. Only wish I had been doing it sooner (as in before alphabay). The next Alphabay will have a much, much larger impact on the fundamental value of XMR. For one thing, it won't allow BTC or ZEC (insert image of Cazes hanging by his belt in a Bankok jail cell). For another, it will grow faster and to a much larger size:. The pent-up demand will be enormous, and the fear factor involved in using BTC or ZEC won't be there to inhibit transactions. But bootstrapping trust requires magic. How long that will take, I do not know. If it takes too long, a technical solution will emerge. Question is will Multisig be available before then? Well, we shall see Shh go away with your predictions you were already right last year I personally expect atleast one last cycle upwards with the correction after that. I concur, the problem is figuring out where that is going to happen! Does anyone have the date and time the event is ended?
