What happens if someone sends me more bitcoins than I set in my public key?
How can I create a public key that lasts forever, that I can get receive all differents values?
The only limits existing are on the Lightning Network and you can't set them yourself. You can create an address "that lasts forever, that I can get receive all differents values" by disabling the " Use change adresses" option in your software wallet. When you enable it, the change of your utxos is sent to a new address of your wallet.

An USDT Wallet on which blockchain? You are talking about Omni, Ethereum, EOS, Tron or Liquid? You sent your tokens from an exchange to an address of your personal wallet?

I just got to 1,200 merits. I am the most merited Senior Member ok the Forum, and I have time to improve until Oct, 9th when My activity will clock and I will be promoted to Hero! I think you should be a little bit more humble and discreet IMO, most of your merits come from the Wall Observer thread obviously... ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) With this kind of topic you are just encouraging people to lazily chat on these threads instead of encouraging them to make higher quality messages in the main parts of the forum(which was the initial goal of the merits AFAIK)

Yobit don't pay before you send to your account 0.1 btc.
It is very very likely you have been contactcted by a scammer/impersonator : would you care to explain which channel tehy used ot ask you that money? Did it happened throught telegram? lot f scam attempts going on there. Be careful and don't sent money/btc to anyone for any reason. I suggest you to join their official telegram chat @YobiChatEn ( doucblecheck it because there are some fake groups) and post this same sentence there; also take into consideration that yobit mods/admins NEVER direct message first so if someone will hit you up in private he is 100% confirmed a scammer. OK. This guy ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FQ0dMXjk.png&t=663&c=zJdg5qLsr-jw4w) asked me via chat to mail him. I did. This is his answer. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fgya7jK0.png&t=663&c=D71xAh1HH2NS9Q) My problem was, that I couldn't withdraw my reward to Yobit's wallet. The button was inactive. I'm not the only one, btw. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FSHe45TL.png&t=663&c=6T3n8vTkKNYpKg) OMG Did you send your Yobit code to this scammer? I hope you don't because if it's yes, you just lose 0.1 btc... Don't hesitate to share your phishing attempt testimonial in the Scam Accusations section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0

Hello If you want the latest version of Electrum for example, you need to download the apk on the Electrum website (because the last version is not available on Play store). So you need to check the PGP file signature of the apk to be sure there has not been any hack. I do this by installing a shell terminal for Android(Termux) and the gpg package. But it's not convenient to use a shell on a smartphone, and I don't think it's a suitable solution for beginners.
So are there apps on Android offering PGP file signature checking?
Thank you

Sure is expensive, but it's to be expected really. Manually recovering funds requires a certain good amount of time and manpower, and could risk certain aspects of their security, hence the fees. In the first place, I don't get how people are so careless with sending funds that are irreversible. It literally takes like 3-5 seconds to double check an address.
"It's not a bug, it's a feature"... ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) I see... If you want cryptos to be adopted by people, a good thing would be to begin to stop whining about the users IMO. You will never get it back it's almost impossible too unless you know how to reverse the transactions.
Unless the transaction is still unconfirmed(hence could be recoverable through a doublespend) or if for example you sent a certain token to an exchange's ETH address(and not the token address), you can't.What do you mean? Why it would be different to send coins to the deposit addresses of other blockchains? It's the same issue, so exchanges charge the same fees IMO

I wonder why you ask this question or why you need the data. For sure not all joiner will disclose their gender since its optional or default when creating profile and that’s one way of privacy.
Well, in the french speaking section we made a poll And it showed there were one girl and 4 "non-binary gender" people there https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5153625.0

![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) to answer the actual question though: I'm not sure if ECDSA can be used to encrypt, I thought it was only possible to use it to sign with? (the DSA part breaks out as Digital Signature Algorithm) Yes Satoshi already explained it ECDSA can't encrypt messages, only sign signatures.
It would be unwise to have permanently recorded plaintext messages for everyone to see. It would be an accident waiting to happen.
If there's going to be a message system, it should be a separate system parallel to the bitcoin network. Messages should not be recorded in the block chain. The messages could be signed with the bitcoin address keypairs to prove who they're from.
Yes, it's a technical limitation. Sending by bitcoin address enters the transaction into the network and the recipient discovers it from the network. You don't connect directly with them and they don't have to be online at the time.
I very much wanted to find some way to include a short message, but the problem is, the whole world would be able to see the message. As much as you may keep reminding people that the message is completely non-private, it would be an accident waiting to happen.
Unfortunately, ECDSA can only sign signatures, it can't encrypt messages, and we need the small size of ECDSA. RSA can encrypt messages, but it's many times bigger than ECDSA.

I think you are talking about the id of the accounts, not the seeds, no? Because I don't understand how and espacially why they would provide a seed if their wallets aren't HD? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) As you know it, new HD version is using BIP39 mnemonics. But those old blockchain.info SEED or rather "mnemonic phrase" weren't really for generating the root seed. It's basically your account ID and password backup, nothing else, the recovery page is designed to derive the login info based from those words; Each of your account's keys, they are stored in their server until you decided to export it. I wasn't aware of that, but you are talking about longtime ago, I see in 2016 it was already an HD wallet. The date of your registration is a little bit misleading in fact.

#3 Avoid Charging your phones in public ports Uh.. what? Common sense should tell that if you're charging your phone in public, you should be attending to it, not walk away.
#4 Stop jailbraiking or rooting your phones This doesn't always secure the phone since manufacturers tend to discontinue updates after like 1 year or so, so your device lacks security updates. Also, jailbreaking or rooting your device allows you to manually disable bloated or intrusive apps.
Rooting has lot of advantages but if it was done by the person without much technical knowledge then they are breaking the security of their mobile. When our software gets too old and no updates from the manufacturer then its better to upgrade the device in my opinion. Public charging ports?? What is that? Do not root? So we should rather trust the devs and creators who love hiding bloatware in their phones? Rooting gives you more control of your phone. If anything it makes it safer. You can block so many things your phone automatically does without you knowing if you root your phone. Look at DNS66 it blocks annoying pop-up ads especially ebooks that normally happen in the background. There other things you can block too that is just one example. Having more control is never a bad thing. Obviously, if you don't know what you doing you have no business in rooting phones to begin with and probably will brick it or worse. Viruses can access core files, parameters and features on rooted phones while in "jailed" ones they can't access anything critical, I would not recommend anyone to store big amounts of cryptos on a rooted phone.

Money talks, and it makes the impossible matches to happen. See Mayweather's fights ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) You're right, but if a fighter, and especially an old one wants to be able to do the biggest ones, he must preserve himself for them, and not accept every single fight.

An idea came onto my mind, and it consists about a currency that is entirely dedicated onto gambling and also betting, I did not search through the web if there is actually a crypto that has done this. Gambling is a thing that the people love to do, whether if it is in the casino or online, but have you ever thought of a crypto that will serve as your main currency whether if it is in the casino or it is on online, I think this could also be beneficial for the gamblers as well, I wanna know about what you think of my idea, whether if it is a positive or negative opinion, I will still take it.
Yes there is a very pomising one : DFT (DraftCoin) You can find it on Yobit, CoinExchange, Coindeal ... Below 200 sats at the moment, I think it's very cheap. https://coinmarketcap.com/fr/currencies/draftcoin/

I think GSP would be a really good matchup for Khabib but the weight at which the fight would take place is debatable as 170 might favour GSP while 155 would be a very tough weight cut for GSP and favourable for khabib. But no doubt toughest style matchup for Khabib.
Why are you talking about GSP, he's retired now. I don't understand, you aren't aware of that or it's a fake news? Edit: I'm sorry you're right, GSP is officially retired but despite that he could do a super fight against him. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/mma/9974434/ufc-dana-white-khabib-nurmagomedov-georges-st-pierre/

We all have each secrets in life, part of it was the strategy for survival in order to make a living. In gambling if you do have a ways on how to win, then that secret is your gift. No one could take it from you, once you've managed to fulfill a stable betting play avoid being greedy. Most people who win gambling along with their strategies as their secret formula, tend to forget in controlling themselves and became addicted.
I don't think there is a secret, the secret is to understand entropy and probabilities, and to dominate his emotions and feelings I think. But OP is right in cryptos traditionally more games are fair than fiat ones paradoxically, it's because of the provably fair cryptographic concept which didn't exist in gambling games before cryptos
