9261  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase is silently tracking how you spend you coins on: July 16, 2016, 05:52:19 AM

Hello,

We are the admin team for https://bitbet.us, and it has come to our attention that Coinbase has silently started tracking how their customers spend the coins purchased on their site.

One of our users what threatened by Coinbase with account closure after he placed a bet on our site.

The implication is basically that Coinbase is now officially in the business of deciding what you can and can't do with your own money.

They've essentially lowered themselves to the level of the likes of VISA and Paypal.

Should you decide to spend your coins on dildos and should Coinbase tomorrow decide that dildos are something they disapprove of, you may face account closure.

Caveat Emptor.

This is nothing new.I know that Coinbase is tracking transactions.

Many people were banned from Coinbase for gambling transactions.

Just use another wallet service.
9262  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the next BIG event after block halving that may boost bitcoin price? on: July 15, 2016, 03:57:52 PM
...any idea?

By the way,the block hlaving didn`t boost the bitcoin price  Sad

I wouldn`t say that it will be a big event.Maybe a couple of small events.

Maybe when investors start growing another bitcoin bubble.... Grin
9263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in everyday life on: July 15, 2016, 03:54:27 PM
What is your opinion: will btc become a currency with which you can pay in supermarkets, subways etc?
Or will it remain a crypto-currency used mostly in the Internet?

If bitcoin becomes more popular ,more offline businesses will adopt it.

I doubt that this will happend soon.

During the next few years bitcoin will remain a digital currency.
9264  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can Bitcoin be used for God? on: July 15, 2016, 03:50:52 PM
Let's hear how you'd help Jesus with Bitcoin.

If you use bitcoin for good, you are using it for God.

I don`t know where to donate bitcoin for charity campaigns.

There`s no way that we can help Jesus  Grin
9265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving is a profitable??? on: July 15, 2016, 08:46:40 AM
Do you think that in this year halving is a profitable???

Halving has no effect over btc price.

Maybe it`s profitable for people who are mining bitcoins.I don`t know.

Perhaps, one month after the halving, the price will start to increase.

I stay away from cloud mining, don`t know about you...
9270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had suddenly 500 BTC on: July 14, 2016, 01:59:57 PM
How would you transfer the btc to your bank account without making the Banks / OECD /  ask questions?

And even if you get cash from localbitcoins someday the efforoties may ask you from where this car or how you bought this house..
What would you do ?

There`s no way you can trade 500 BTC with localbitcoins in one single transaction.

Why are you asking this?Do you have that problem?

Big transactions are always suspicious for banks and authorities...
9271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone have plan to make income on bitcoins :) on: July 14, 2016, 05:58:01 AM
Hey,

Anyone else to plan make income on bitcoins?

I have a plan,but it`s a secret.I can`t reveal it because the niche will get saturated.

Are you asking for ideas and suggestions OP?

Do you have any plan?

9272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the longest you have gone without checking the price of Bitcoin online? on: July 14, 2016, 05:55:45 AM
What's the longest you have gone without checking the price of Bitcoin online?

I don`t check the bitcoin price very often.Maybe every 48 hours.

I have small amount of btc so the price changes doesn`t affect my savings that much.

I would get nervous if a have lots of bitcoins  Grin
9273  Other / Off-topic / Re: Save you Bitcoin for your (grand) child / children? on: July 14, 2016, 05:53:15 AM
Bitcoin is a long term project. Therefore is makes sense to save small parts over a long horizon. Do you save Bitcoins for your (grand) child or children?

For those who do not have (grand) children (yet), would you save Bitcoin for them if you would have (grand) children?

This is too long term for me.I don`t have children.I don`t have a girlfriend...

I don`t think that i will ever have any children  Sad

I`m saving btc only for me.
9274  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does anyone here give trading tips to friends? on: July 13, 2016, 10:35:38 AM
Ive just had one of my friends ask for some advice on coins to pick to add to a portfolio but after being asked ive now decided id rather him find out for himself, I feel that if i give him advice and the ones i have said to pick end up failing then it will fall back on me so i think from now on i wont be giving any advice on trading. I dont mind telling him what ones i think are going to do well but i dont think its wise to promote any.

Is anyone in a similar situation or have you even made recommendations only for them to fail and friend slose money?

I would never give any advice to someone about how to invest and how to manage his own money.

It`s normal for people to seek for tips and recommendations, but i`m not comfortable giving them.

People should take responsibility and learn from their own mistakes.
9275  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: July 13, 2016, 10:31:12 AM
I first got bitcoin from withdrawing from gambling sites.  I deposited with another method but could withdraw bitcoin so i did it.  Around that time bitcoin was around $220 usd or so and when i got it, i would then trade it for poker funds from other person etc because I didn't want to hold the bitcoins due to reading about price fluctuations.  However, isn't the value of bitcoin almost always going to go up so its best to hold it?  I know last year it was $600 and the highest was when it was more than $1000 per bitcoin.  But since it is all the way down to $200-$300, isn't having bitcoin always good?  Could bitcoin go all the way to 0 soon?  I had thought hey if you get bitcoin when its $230 when the price stayed like that for a long time, thats great b/c very hard for it to go below $200 because i haven't seen that.  But even if it does, isn't it almost always going to rebound and go back up?  Last time i had btc and it was $230 or so and now it went up to $260.  So if you have say 100 bitcoins... well... thats a nice $3000 profit or so.

I'm sure there are ppl that have thousands or bitcoins right and just hold on to it?  And many that would sell btc immediately if prices go all the way up?  If someone had say 500 bitcoin... then btc price went up $20 in say a week or so... selling it would net them $10000 minus fees right?  However if they sell it via localbitcoins or other method, they are going to get a higher profit right?  However if they do this, say sold all their 500 btc... then once bitcoin later in the year go up another $50... well that would be $25000 less they would have earned.

In general, isn't holding BTC always a good thing since the price of it is pretty low now?  Obviously if you bought btc at $600 or $1000 and thought it would went up and held on to your btc, that would been a disaster.  But since its in the $200-$300 range, isn't having BTC always good?

I wouldn`t  say "good way to make money".It`s a good way to gain profit from investing in bitcoin itself.

I`ve never really made any money from btc price change.I always trade for cash before the price increase

because i`m stupid or lack of luck...
9276  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin continuous rising? on: July 13, 2016, 10:19:11 AM
Bitcoin has been rising up this past few weeks and continue to rise, what do you think?
will bitcoin continue to rise at the end of the month or it will have a sudden drop?

Right now bitcoin isn`t rising. It`s around 680$-640$ even after halving day.

I guess the 770$ peak last month was because of agressive buying before the halving.

Man, i want bitcoin to grow really fast.
9277  Economy / Economics / Re: How to make 17 BTC out of 7 BTC ? on: July 13, 2016, 10:15:51 AM
Does someone has any suggestions how to make 17 BTC with 7 BTC starting capital in short period of time?

No legal way, exept gambling.Gambling is too risky and you can lose everything.

Don`t ask for suggestions, invent your own idea, nobody will tell you or show you how to make huge profits.

Nobody will do that for free.
9278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If u were Warren Buffet would u buy 51% of Bitcoins? on: July 13, 2016, 10:12:51 AM
If u would happen to be the Waren Buffet grandfather,

would U try to go and buy all the Bitcoin in existence?

or would that be rather stupid to try?

Would u buy 51% of all Bitcoins?

~CfA~

The speculation attempt will be too obvious.I would buy maybe around 15-20%, not 51%.

I will use other people to buy the btc for me...

By the way....Waren Buffet grandfather??WTF.DO you mean Warren Buffet`s grandson?
9279  Other / Off-topic / Re: du you spend coins on real life. on: July 13, 2016, 10:09:16 AM

9280  Economy / Speculation / Re: 350 USD in August on: July 12, 2016, 06:00:42 PM
It's coming

EDIT: This topic is my proof. Everyone thinks that it's not possible but why not?

I call it a bubble.

The halving is gone and the price is still around 650$.

What happend with all those predictions about 1000$ price after halving?

Maybe the halving has no influence over the price...
