9302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trader Brutally Tortured on: March 06, 2019, 03:21:44 PM
I don't want to be in this situation, this is scary not just for me but for my family. They could have been traumatized by this incident. And this is not the first time though, so everyone just be careful and hope that this won't happen to us. I do hope that they will caught these guys and put behind bars for good.

9304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 235: Jones vs. Smith Prediction and Info Thread on: March 03, 2019, 08:46:24 AM
Jon Jones wins by decision, no surprises here although others may have expected Smith not to last the full 5 rounds, but the guy is tough, what you can say? Usman dominated Woodley to end his title reign, Usman was so dominant that he was able to take control more than 17 minutes of a tough 25 minutes fight Woodley tried everything but Usman that night can't be denied.
9305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Screwed Up on: March 03, 2019, 08:22:54 AM
You could be the victim of the copy-and-paste malware that has been spreading since 2017 or much earlier. I'm sorry since bitcoin transaction is irreversible, so there's no way for you to get it back. At least you learn another important lessons here to always, check many times specially the receiver address. You may also want to scan your devices for that malware and removed it, otherwise it will happen again.
9306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do "premium" or "pro" antivirus help on transactions on smartphones? on: March 03, 2019, 07:35:03 AM
I doubt that they can provide a 'higher" security even if you pay premium to those anti-virus companies. First crypto hacking is very sophisticated even crypto jacking is very hard to trace. And also if you used your smart phone as your wallet, the risk multiples, specially if you're always connected online. That's why I don't used crypto wallet in my phones, maybe just my local exchange wallet, but other than that, I never practice installing wallet in my smart phone.
9307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 03, 2019, 06:19:49 AM
You guys watching the Lakers today?
Seems like they are at it again, they might loss this game because they suns are still leading.
If they cannot beat this team which is the worst team in the NBA, then I guess we have to say goodbye on their hope.

The Phoenix Suns was able to hold off the Lakers late rally, winning 118-109. James did a magnificent jump trying to get the Lakers back in the game in the last minutes and was able to pull within 3, but that was it as the Suns got to the free throws in the final minute and hitting six to close the slow. James almost had a triple double, 27 points, 16 assists and nine rebounds. Yes, say goodbye to their playoff hope this season with that crucial lost again.
9308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffet statement again on: March 03, 2019, 05:49:31 AM
It's because Warren Buffett doesn't have any first hand knowledge about bitcoin. There have been interviews wherein he admitted not knowing about it, and all information he got is second hand opinion, so what do you expect? Let him talk and voice it out, maybe others can be sway by it, but I'm sure majority knows that Warren is wrong with his bitcoin attacks.
9309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still invest in ICO's in 2019.? - Poll please vote on: March 02, 2019, 08:01:57 PM
Surprise, I voted NO.

Why? Because it's very hard to make profit today as compare to previous years specially in 2017. So I'm no longer interested, besides scams ICO hasn't stop even though there's a lot of people exposing them in this community so I don't want to be a victim. But I'm not saying that I will completely stop investing them though. Maybe when we're in the bull-run, I might go with the flow, but not right now.
9310  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: yobit about to take off ? on: March 02, 2019, 08:28:32 AM
Lol, I wouldn't be surprised if they take off or do a exit scam by now. There are literally hundreds of complaints against them that I wonder why people are still using that exchange up to this time? It's already 2019, people should have learn from the mistakes of other members here not to trade on that exchange. Goodluck to you and if ever you got your funds money, move out, stay away from Yobit and go try other exchanges.
9311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 02, 2019, 07:33:33 AM
Bucks won 131-120
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLDLp4pyyYE

The Bucks are gonna add a new player to their squad : Pau Gasol who just left the Spurs.
Congrats Bucks mah boiz, sorry for Lakers my boizz too.. really can't bet for these two teams..

Woaah, that's a big news for Bucks adding Pau Gasol didn't know about that trade.  --> http://www.nba.com/article/2019/03/01/pau-gasol-reportedly-sign-bucks

Gasol is not doing well with the Spurs, so now he is ship to the Bucks and I believe he is a great addition.
With playoff experience and has already become an NBA champion, he could be a big help for this team, gasol is not already in his prime but he can contribute well to boost the morale of the team facing the challenges within the playoffs.

Bucks seems going for a championship this season, what your thoughts on this?

I think this is a ripe time for the Bucks to be in the championship contention. They are really doing good and Giannis is continuing his path to be the likely MVP this season, but it's still early and debatable. The team's chemistry is a beauty as well and they understand each other. And now they have added Gasol (I don't know the reason), but I guess they needed someone as a backup or have the experience when playoff comes in. So yes, they're gunning for something huge this season, all in, to say the least.
9312  Economy / Economics / Re: ‘Crypto not meant for humans’ says Anthony Pompliano on: March 02, 2019, 07:12:52 AM
What he said got the correct point, some people that I introduce to bitcoin are having difficulty to understand about crypto, especially when it is already about the technical things like block, mining pool or something like that, but if the person willing to learn and want to simplify it then they could understand about it, because bitcoin technology is still new so it need time for them to understand well

But they don't really need to go to that technical narratives so learn how bitcoin or blockchain technology functions. They just make things complicated for themselves, specially if they are not technically inclined in the first place? Crypto existed in the last 10 years or at least bitcoin that people already learn some technical stuff one time or another when dealing with it.
9313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH or XRP on: March 02, 2019, 04:19:52 AM
BTC supplies only 21 million, and now there are 3 or 4 million BTC in the system. even though there is a little more BTC, we will also find it difficult to get BTC. then, it will take a long time. 2024 or 2026 are predicted that BTC supplies will run out.

Theoretically, the last bitcoin could be mined in 2140. However, we're almost exhausted everything and by 2026 I would say that we will "almost" see all bitcoin mined.

we have to think about the prospect of the crypto world in the future, until today BTC has a function to stabilize the crypto world, but what happened if supplies BTC runs out? is there another crypto that can stabilize and maintain the existence of the crypto market?

It's possible that another crypto will born and take over bitcoin. However, bitcoin will still remain as the top coins, no matter what happens to it's supply.

I think ETH or XRP will replace BTC. but my prediction XRP will dominate the market more than ETH, I doubt to ETH after the vitalik left from ETH. on the other hand, XRP always develops its platform every time.

how do you think, will the XRP replace BTC and has a very high value of $ 20K like BTC in 2017?

Not sure if either one of the two will top bitcoin though. As others have pointed out, XRP is a bankers coins so I doubt bitcoin maximalist will just shift on XRP.
9314  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: telegram bots on: March 02, 2019, 03:57:12 AM
NOTE: This is a work on a partnership basis. So you will receive a certain percentage of the project profits instead of a one time payment for work.

If I were you, I'll probably search for somebody that already knows about me, like my friends. It's hard to find somebody from the internet who can work for 'free', and you can trust him.

Anyway, don't forget to use an escrow if you want to proceed with the developer deal, a lot of scammers in this forum, so better safe than sorry.

In addition to that, he needs to check the trust feedback as well. And stay away from newbies claiming they have this and that portfolio. So don't blindly trust someone, specially if they offered is 'too good to be true'.
9315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 01, 2019, 03:22:31 PM
The lost of Denver Nuggets today doesn't affect their standing, they are still ranked #2 in the Western Conference.

Match for tomorrow is between East's ranked 1 Bucks vs crowd's favorite Los Angeles Lakers.

Bucks won't have any difficulties against Lakers. LA Lakers are more weak that the Bucks squad and I think that it will be just a show game with high scoring points from both teams. The most interesting part would be again seeing Giannis and LeBron in the same pitch and dunking around!
The bucks are the better team, no doubt about that but the Lakers needed this win for their playoffs hope to stay alive.
Look back on the Rockets game, they were trailing the entire game but they end up winning the game, I guess this time if refs will help them, they will also win.

Gonna be interesting match for Lakers vs Bucks. We all know that Bucks is the hottest team today with Giannis at the helm. On the other side, Lakers is in dire need of a win just to stay in the contention of a playoffs berth and not break Lebron's record. Bucks will surely be the favorite, but I think Lebron and Lakers can take this one on the strength of their home court advantage.
9316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did Ripple pay Coinbase to get XRP listed? on: March 01, 2019, 08:03:10 AM
did they really add XRP or is it just one of the bullshit news articles that is only imagination of the author, i can't find it on their platform though and if it is rumor then we shouldn't even discuss it.

https://blog.coinbase.com/

but if it is reality and they did add it then yes it is a violation of their own rules although it is their own rules and they can do whatever they like with them! and exchanges have always cared about money and nothing else. XRP team paying them is a good amount of money and also it is one of the big pump and dump shitcoins which means good trading volume during pumps and also dumps and it can give them more profit.

Oh well, it clearly violates their own rule but what can we do? Coinbase will be Coinbase, it may hurt their reputation, but not a bit I think, and they may not even care to honest. And  like what the rest of the members here are thinking, it's good money flowing in their ecosystem, so everyone can join as long as they're willing to shell out big money to be listed then everything can be done.
9317  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The WPP Energy Scam on: March 01, 2019, 07:40:43 AM
If this is not your original article, I think quoting it is a better practice. If not, you're just copy pasting.

Talking about the project, it seems you're talking about this one:
- ANN : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4449273.0
- Bounty : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4518298.0

I have the author's name on top and the link below, do you look carefully?

Since this is just a copy and paste then what is your take on this one? is it scam? At least give us some thoughts on it because this could be considered as FUD, specially with the way to titled it. And this is a heavy accusations assuming that the project has raised so much money that it almost hit it's hard cap, correct me If I'm wrong.
9318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Good News Entrepreneurs: Plattsburgh Finally Lifts its Ban on Crypto Mining on: March 01, 2019, 07:09:43 AM
Last year, Plattsburgh has become the first city in the US to ban cryptocurrency mining,

Quote
Plattsburgh, New York, has become the first city in the US to ban cryptocurrency mining in the city for the next 18 months. The city council unanimously voted to impose the ban at a council meeting last night, and the mayor’s office states that the purpose of the law is to consider “regulations before commercial cryptocurrency mining operations results in irreversible change to the character and direction of the city.”

https://www.theverge.com/2018/3/16/17128678/plattsburgh-new-york-ban-cryptocurrency-mining

However, the city council voted 5-1, lifting the ban.

Quote
Plattsburgh, NY, the first city in the US to ban cryptocurrency mining, has finally lifted its one-year-long block on crypto mining operations.

https://www.btcwires.com/c-buzz/good-news-entrepreneurs-plattsburgh-finally-lifts-its-ban-on-crypto-mining/

So let's see if this will bring a influx on miners on that city, do you think miners will take advantage of this situation and go full mining on that city again?
9319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and other cryptocurencies are not necessary says Chinese people on: March 01, 2019, 06:49:19 AM
It’s just that among the respondents there were a lot of people who don’t even know about cryptocurrency. If they interviewed knowledgeable people, the result would have been different.

They could have manipulated the results for all we know.

i believe most of the people who participated in that survey don't really fully understand bitcoin and its usage under the blockchain technology. I see no reason why an open minded educated person will say something that is much easier, faster and safer to use is not necessary, that means the person does not want growth. The chinese people should get more education on the benefits of using bitcoin over fiat.

You just have to look at their government and how they wanted to control everything. I doubt that they will gave us results that will bring positive news about bitcoin. The data sample is so small that I don't think it represented what the sentiments of the Chinese people are so I'm not even surprised by this.
9320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: March 01, 2019, 06:27:50 AM
Durant and Curry was just smiling after that Wade shot.
It was a lucky shot and they did not really expect it.

A good game though for both Warriors and Heat. Those are the kind of games that you really want to see. A 4th quarter game where both teams are getting the lead back and forth and you just dont know which one will really win the game.
That was fun to watch. I can see the faces of the Warriors fans. They may have a face with an open mouth in silence.  Grin
They werent smiling tonight when they lost against the magic in orlando.
Except durant sat out because I think he was embarassed too much from the previous lost he just didnt want to play tonight.
With them losing two games back to back it looks like they have run out of steam and others now have a chance to upset them in the playoffs seeing the kink in their armor in which cousins was going to fill in the void.

And with that lost, Nuggets is on the number 1 spot in WC. I think they needed this lost to somewhat wake them up. I don't think they ran out of steam here, maybe they're just having trouble closing out games. But I'm still expecting them to be the top seed here and be the favorite to retain their championship this year, so let's see.
