9321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bloodbath sale! on: May 11, 2018, 09:59:37 AM
AS a matter of fact, i will prefer to but NEO. My desire has always been on NEO for quite some time now and i already have some that i am presently holding. I think another opportunity has now presented itself in order to own more. NEO is a very promising project with lots of benefits. It has similar characteristics as Ethereum I have also notced that most of the tokens that use the platform of NEO, do well in the market. An example of such is ZPT and many more. I so much like the staking benefit attached to holder NEO, in order to get GAS.
I share your opinion here. NEO is easily one of the best cryptocurrencies around and I have already earned healthy profits by buying some antshares during the early stages. Had HODLED for quite sometime and sold when it reached its high recently and still have a small portion of it left at the moment. I would definitely recommend purchasing some NEO during the current bear market and HODL it until it reaches a new high(Probably later this year). This particular chinese version of Ethereum keeps rising in popularity with time and it might even challenge Ethereum some day.
9322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we adopt altcoin to pay wages? on: May 11, 2018, 06:21:52 AM
In fact, some companies are already using bitcoin to pay their employees wages in Japan. I don't think there is any problem. The only problem is that if you earn $2,000 a month, you can get a salary of $1,800 or $2,200. Because the price of bitcoin has been fluctuating.
This is exactly why this is not feasible in the present scenario. The extreme volatility of this cryptocurrency market is the primary reason why Bitcoin and altcoins cannot be utilized as a method to pay wages currently, but it can certainly happen in the near future in my opinion once the market exhibits lower volatility. Additionally, features like lightning network, segwit wallets etc will help in dropping the transaction fees and transaction times making it much more feasible in the future. As Bitcoin adoption grows over time, altcoins will continue being adopted on a global scale.
9323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: except btc and eth,may i invest which coin? on: May 11, 2018, 06:21:05 AM
Apart from Bitcoin and Ethereum, I suggest investing into coins or tokens based on long term or short term profits. You need to decide whether you wish to invest for the short term or long term or both which will help in narrowing down the choices for you. If you are HODLING for the long term, I suggest investing into popular coins like Monero, Litecoin, Dash, Ripple, Stellar Lumens which will most likely help you earn healthy profits in the long run. If you are looking at quick short term profits, I suggest investing into DENT, Cardano, DeepOnion, PundiX etc.
9324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can collecting airdrops be a full time occupation on: May 11, 2018, 06:20:55 AM
Full time occupation? Airdrops cannot replace a full time job. Why? Based on experience, I can say that majority of the airdrops are simply scams whose sole purpose is to steal your hard earned money. Minority of the airdrops are legit, but some of the tokens and coins that you receive will possess no value and some will possess value. Basically, I feel that the chances of earning big money through airdrops is slim, but it is possible to earn regular profits from airdrops by subscribing to airdrops on a regular basis. Overall, I advise you to not depend on airdrops completely. Bounty campaigns are way more reliable in this aspect.
9325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HODLing will get you nowhere on: May 10, 2018, 08:48:53 AM
Your post makes a lot of sense op and I do partially agree with you, but this strategy does not always fail as you mention. I have personally HODLED many coins and tokens for a long period of time which helped me earn big profits in the long term which is why I can vouch for this strategy. Research and luck play a crucial role in determining whether you can acquire profits or lose money due to a particular cryptocurrency. There is no sure fire strategy to always earn profits, but HODLING seems to be effective majority of the time based on my experience. Short term trading is way more stressful if you ask me.
9326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin investment 🤔🤔🤔 on: May 10, 2018, 08:45:40 AM
If ever I do have 1 BTC on my wallet I should invest more on my favorite altcoin which is Oyster Pearl PRL.
Today May 10, 2018 as I type this comment, Oyster Pearl PRL is pumping for 2 days now and it's good to know that this altcoin have a good crypto project that is useful for internet users like storing their important files online to the IOTA Tangle.
I do invest more if I ever do have more funds, money or BTC or Ethereum to invest more Oyster before it pumped into the moon.
I agree with your assessment about Oyster Pearl. I have personally profited very nicely from this coin during December of last year when it pumped to insane heights. I never expected this at all since I was planning on HODLING these coins for a long period, but the insane pump persuaded me to sell all my PRL which helped me earn heavy profits in the short term. I feel lucky to have invested into this coin during the initial stages and the crazy rally by Bitcoin clearly affected it in a positive way. I feel that it will take a long time for this coin to surpass its old all time high.
9327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When you try explain crypto to a non tech person! on: May 10, 2018, 05:52:05 AM
The fact is that you don't need to be a genius if you wish to understand how the cryptocurrency world functions. Many people around the world these days(Tech or non-tech) are expressing their interest in crypto these days due to the spike in the value of Bitcoin and other altcoins. The basic fact is that cryptocurrencies are associated with money which itself helps people gain interest automatically. Best way to try and explain crypto to a tech or non-tech person is lead them to the best cryptocurrency forum around(Bitcointalk) and tell them to check out the various threads in this forum.
9328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you think Eth will break $2,000? on: May 10, 2018, 05:52:00 AM
Perhaps the ETH will rise again by the end of the year, then it will easily break through $2000, and I think one of the key factors is whether there will be more new investors in the second half of the year.
That is true. Two main factors will enable the spike of Ethereum's price: the first one is the number of new investors in Q3/Q4 2018 and the second one is the deployment of the scalability solutions currently being developed. This is an optimistic forecast which needs to be taken into calculations, but how about the pessimist prediction that claims that Ethereum will lose a big fraction of its values at the end of 2018. Do you think that this scenario is possible?
Anything can happen at any time in this extremely volatile crypto market. Ethereum can actually lose a big fraction of its value at the end of this year, but I believe that the possibility of this happening is frankly quite low. I am fairly optimistic about the future of Ethereum and I strongly believe that it will reach a new high by the end of this year. Breaking $2000 seems achievable in this scenario due to the upcoming updates which you mentioned. A strong rally by Bitcoin later this year could lead Ethereum and majority of the altcoins to new heights which is why I am HODLING my ETH at the moment.
9329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryoptocurrency is now movable property in France. on: May 10, 2018, 05:51:50 AM
this is somewhat a sad thing though. but it is expected since the altcoins are not really currencies despite what their name suggests. so it is only logical to consider them as property, commodity, security,... instead of considering them as a currency.
bitcoin is a whole different story though. even in Japan they only accepted bitcoin as a currency not the altcoins.
Sad but true, as most of people treat alts more like stocks, something they trade, not use and earn. It seems a bit weird that cryptos are considered to be property, though, since it means people will not be able to pay with them or declare the salary received in coins.
While reducing the taxes from 45% from 19% sounds good, I think 19% is still unjustifiably high. People should feel encouraged to do business with cryptocurrencies legally. As they are used to paying no taxes, it would be best to set low tax fees (no more than 10%) at least for the time being. This would still be beneficial both for the government and for the crypto community. I don't understand why the taxes should be so high.

I agree with you here. 19% tax rate still seems crazy high and 45% seems insane. I never knew that they charged such high tax rates on cryptocurrencies before. I am one of those people who doesn't shy away when it comes to paying taxes on a regular basis, but these rates are absolutely insane and something that would make me ponder whether I should pay taxes or not. Cryptocurrencies and FIAT are completely different in this aspect and I can completely why some people would not wish to pay their taxes thanks to the anonymity aspect of crypto. 6% seems way better in this aspect.
9330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best ICO to invest ? on: May 09, 2018, 10:57:46 AM
That depends on many factors op. Let me highlight some of the most important ones for you:

-Whitepaper
-Development team
-Social media interactions
-Soft cap or Hard cap
-Roadmap
-Campaign manager

These are simply some of the factors that you need to research thoroughly if you decide to invest into a particular ICO. Proper research can help a lot in differentiating between a legit and scam ICO. Among these factors, I believe that the whitepaper is the most important factor which you need to research thoroughly.
9331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advantages of Cryptocurrency on: May 09, 2018, 06:21:25 AM
Disadvantages of Cryptocurrency

1. Difficult to understand – Cryptocurrencies are relatively new and come with a learning curve. People end up investing without proper knowledge and lose money to something they did not learn about.
2. Lack of knowledge – People are not aware of how to use cryptocurrency and hence open themselves to hacker. The technology is somewhat complex and therefore one needs to be mindful of it before investing.
3. Not accepted widely – Not many websites and companies accept digital currencies yet. Very few countries have legalized the use of cryptocurrencies. It makes it impractical for everyday use. Due to lack of acceptance, before buying or investing online or offline, you need to make sure that it’s accepted at that place where you want to use it. Although it is slowly getting the acceptance around the world, it will take time to take the idea entirely out of the shadows.
4. Can lose your wallet – There is a possibility of losing your wallet. If you have stored the money in the form of digital currency on your phone or computer, you better remember your password and not lose those devices. Losing your coins means you won’t be able to retrieve it, even with the help of legal assistance so that is just one of Bitcoins flaws.
5. No way to reverse the payment – If you mistakenly pay someone by using cryptocurrency, then there is no way to get a refund of the amount paid. All you can do is to ask the person for a refund and if your request is turned down, then just forget about the money.
6. Uncertainty – Since cryptocurrencies are so new, they are also very volatile. This is one of the main reasons mass adoption is taking longer than it should. Many corporations don’t want to deal with a form of money that is going to go through huge swings in volatility.

Valueable post. Please add that they are also unsecure. Projects or ico can scam people, dev stop development and keep project alone and whale could manipulate the market.
This is a useful post and these are areas where cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin need to improve, but you need to understand that nothing is perfect in this world. The advantages of cryptocurrencies far outweigh their disadvantages if you think about it. Advantages like the ability to conduct financial transactions online without any sort of outside interference(banks etc) is itself an amazing advantage. Other advantages like the ability to make payments online through cryptocurrencies when compared to other sources like paypal etc also prove how useful cryptocurrencies are.
9332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Litecoin on: May 09, 2018, 06:18:59 AM
What are the chances that Litecoin will die, I think it is very slim. Litecoin has a solid community that was build for years and i do not think that they will abandon litecoin now. Litecoin is still considered one of the established coin in the market.

Also If Lee really did sell all his Litecoin  we should have felt the price drop assuming he has a lot of litecoin. Supply will flood the market. Also with the link that was provided he did not quit he will continue to work to help Litecoin.

I firmly believe that Lee sold a big portion of his Litecoin stack, but is still a good number of LTC for future profits in my opinion. The Litecoin community is huge and the continue to support it firmly which is one of the primary reasons why I feel Litecoin has a great future ahead of it. One of the foundations of a successful coin is its community which is why I have complete faith in the Litecoin community and am continuing to HODL a small portion of Litecoins at the moment for long term profits. Best to ignore the people who are spreading FUD regarding Litecoin in this aspect.
9333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITPENTA SCAM on: May 09, 2018, 06:17:17 AM
I get the information. Bounty hunter does not get paid from them, so I assume this is a scam project.

on group telegram, admin is gone.

what do you think about this Huh
I was once part of the bounty program but when I checked the spreadsheet I spotted a lot of cheaters that is why I reported that issue to the team and I left in that program right away because I don't like how the campaign manager managed the program and I am really disappointed with those cheaters he accepted. I think we should be aware of this kind of thing most especially in bounty campaigns as it might waste our precious time. Bounty managers also must do their job properly as to counter or avoid any issues so that projects may go smoothly.
Very true. I agree with you here. I never participated in this campaign myself, but saw a couple of red flags right away when I observed how the campaign manager was managing the campaign which is why I never showed any interest in this campaign. I tend to do some research on the campaign manager before deciding whether or not to participate in a particular bounty campaign which is one of the main reasons why I never got scammed by a campaign until now. Bitpenta has unveiled its scam and I feel sad for the hunters who wasted their valuable effort through this campaign. Be careful guys!
9334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chinese Investor bought 10,000 bitcoin during the dip! on: May 08, 2018, 01:16:29 PM
wow I guess that is was "normal" for some investors to buy some bitcoin during that correction, and I tried to accumulate as much bitcoin as I could, and I'm still trying to do it, but buying 10k BTC is just amazing. I mean, it's not like 1 BTC as $6k is cheap, and the guy decided to buy 10.000 bitcoin at an average price of $6k?

Of course that I'm impressed with the money he invested, but I'm assuming he didn't went all in, so maybe this was a "normal" investment for him. It definitely shows that successful investors are interested in bitcoin. I'm sure he was not the only one, so I guess that more will follow, and BTC price will have to keep increasing. Money attracts money, so if this guy sees something interesting in BTC, I'm sure many more will to.
I agree with you. 10k BTC is not a joke and that is some serious money right there. 10 BTC itself seems like a big amount to me which is why I am genuinely impressed by this particular investor and it is good to see such whales entering this vast crypto market. As time passes, more and more whales will continue to invest into this market due to the possibility of earning big money which is why I feel that Bitcoin can reach $50k by the end of this year and it has the potential to reach $100k in the next couple of years. Feels great to be a part of this crypto world at this moment.
9335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Strong Hands Vs Weak Hands on: May 08, 2018, 09:56:19 AM
What are you going on about op? You do realize that the bounty hunters worked hard in order to earn those coins or tokens which is their money and they are free to do as they please with that money, don't you? Will you listen to me if I tell you to save a fixed amount of FIAT currency every month for long term savings? Of course not. Everyone are free do as they please with their money and the fact is that majority of the bounty hunters participate in bounties for quick profits since HODLING is a tough game. Majority of the hunters sell their coins while the minority like me HODL the coins for the long term and I doubt this will ever change.
9336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is your Top 10 coin? on: May 08, 2018, 06:15:14 AM
My top 10 coins at the moment are basically divided halfway between long term and short term based investments. I am a HODLER which is why I tend to HODL my coins and tokens majority of the time, but engage in short term trading minority of the time. My top 10 looks something like this:

-Bitcoin
-Ethereum
-NEO
-Litecoin
-Monero
-DeepOnion
-IOST
-PIVX
-Verge
-Cardano

Among these coins, I have invested heavily into popular coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and NEO which I am HODLING for long term gains. I have invested small amounts into the rest of the coins which I plan on selling in the short term.
9337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why is it important to look at the community before investing in their coin? on: May 08, 2018, 06:13:57 AM
why is it important to look at the community of an ICO before investing in their coin?
You have to know if there are enough supporters of the coin because they are potential investors and the more supporters you have, the higher the possibility that your ICO would be successful because many people know about it. This is the reason why some ICOs have telegram campaigns so that they can relay the information to their members and then the members can choose to relay it to others.

If the ICO has small community then there would be lesser people that would be reach and less famous the coin. There are some small communities though that have small count of members but the developers are very active and it will make you learn about the project more as no one is always asking for "when exchanges", "when distribution" or just those questions unrelated to the development of the project.
I completely agree with you here. Community is easily one of the primary factors in determining whether a coin or token will be successful in the long term. A coin with a big community backing it is bound to be successful majority of the time. Another important factor here is whether majority of the community is active or not since numbers don't always mean that the coin has a big community backing it. This is one factor which I tend to research carefully along with a host of other factors in order to decide whether to invest into a particular coin or not.
9338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the safest way to hodl tokens? on: May 07, 2018, 10:11:36 AM
Try using hardware wallet such as trezor or ledger wallet. It is safe in hacking because you hold the device that hold your wallets and tokens. Investing a small amount of penny on a hardware wallet is worth it , mark my words Cheesy

Ive been using my ledger wallet in almost a year and I dont encounter any problems with it.
I agree with you. This is easily the best and safest way to HODL your tokens and coins in this market which is ripe with cheaters and scammers. I have personally been attacked by hackers several times in the past and they have always failed since I know how to secure my coins. I usually use my Trezor hardware wallet to store valuable coins like Bitcoin, Ethereum etc and utilize desktop and paper wallets to store less popular coins like DeepOnion, IOST etc. This strategy is easily one of the best strategies to secure your money in this market and I advise everyone not to store your coins on an online exchange.
9339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why are bounty hunters guilty? on: May 07, 2018, 10:08:10 AM
Why are bounty hunters guilty?
Why do they say that bounty hunters have lowered the rate, and investors can not even return the money they invested? I think that if the project is honest, this situation is unacceptable, since hunters get a percentage from ICO, and the project team must redeem their token or coin!

it is true that bounty hunters mostly, not always, just sell the tokens immediately when they get for no matter what price. They claim they need the money desperately, but if they managed to hold for some time, they could getter good profit and help the project short term.
You do realize that they earned those coins or tokens and it is up to them what they wish to do with them, don't you? Why do people forget such simple things? There is nothing wrong about bounty hunters selling their rewards whenever they want since it is their money at the end of the day. No matter what anyone says, almost any hunter would sell their rewards as soon as they receive them in order to convert it into FIAT as quickly as possible. Personally, I have done this many times myself and this does not make anyone guilty. If someone feels that way, it is best to ignore such people.
9340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if a coin is overvalued? on: May 07, 2018, 06:25:32 AM
one of the reasons why cryptocurrencies are overpriced is when you try to check their trading volume because there are too many factors that makes a crypto coin to pump.
there are Pump and Dump groups that will cause other investors react of FOMO and then suddenly there would be a massive dump after few hours of pumping.
there are too many hypes that some celebrities are promoting various coins that will convince other investors to shift on that coin and suddenly after few days there will be again a massive dump.
for me, the only thing to check if the coin is over priced is checking on their trding volume.
Trading volume does help in determining whether a particular coin is overvalued or not as you stated which is why i agree with what you stated. I have observed some lesser known coins and tokens with heavy trading volumes, but low values which puzzled me sometimes and understood later on that most of such coins and tokens were only being manipulated by pump and dump groups. Honestly, I almost fell for such P&D groups sometime back, but research helped me avoid such a mistake. Along with these factors, insane rallies by Bitcoin also tend to overvalue many coins and tokens like what happened last December.
