These bounty platforms have 0 trasparence, there is no way to know and verify for sure how many people are participating.
I am struggling to understand what you mean by transparency on this as everything on those platforms are automated... for instance, if you like and share a facebook post, it is recorded automatically and you don't have to post report in the forum. So I will appreciate if you can throw more light on what you mean by transparency.

Those platform are a s**t, since noone can read what one user posts and IF anyone posts, or what address users use.
I've found in the past a lot of accounts form abusers to joins those campaings (social media, and even signature on forum) by those platforms.
Since the transparency is ZERO a lot of people will abuse and will use more and more accounts to get many tokens as possible, Also since we have no transparency we can't Know if thousands of tokens will end on "shady address with 0 effort but a lot of money".
9362  Other / Meta / Re: Campaign Managers and Bots. The main reason for the SPAM. Solutions? on: August 30, 2018, 06:20:36 PM
Beware, the problem is not just related to the fact that people are shitposting for the signature.
In my opinion a bigger problem is due to the bounties farmers, those people who sometimes have or don't wear the signature and who use bots both for social media activities and for forum reporting activities, often people with 10- 20 accounts with junior rank that freely abuse the bounties by writing their reports (with the bot) and the managers do nothing to stop this or don't remove them from campaigns.
I repeat that, these accounts often do not have the signature and therefore look at the post history (without counting the first 30 messages needed to become junior) have a percentage equal to 100% of messages for the report of bounties.

Unfortunately Twitter campaigns and Facebook campaigns do not register the rank of the member so i could not research them.

This all was nothing special or surprising, but one thing was alarming.

While i was going trough these campaigns I noticed one alarming thing, some of the managers are doing a poor job of protecting data. With data I mean emails of users, I found that 2 of 11 bounty campaigns did not protect sheets and emails of users can be easily copied.  This is alarming because emails in wrong hands could lead to hacked accounts, could this be the reason why there are so many hacked accounts constantly?

I do think that these managers should be warned and in case they dont listen - marked as untrusted members, i would not want to trust my data with someone who dont lock their spreadsheet.

In my experience as cheaters hunter I can assume for facebook and twitter on some campaings a percentuage around 80-90% of jr members + newbies, yes most of them are abusers, but noone cares, manager, CEO of ICO, the bigger is the number more the spam it will be and more the manager will earn. (even if multiaccounts)
In the past I've found users with over 100+ accounts so in my opinion this 80% can be a real thing.
You can also ask to someone to Scrap those data it will be a easy thing, but I have no skill to do so.
9364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Country backed coins, a good idea? on: August 29, 2018, 09:05:25 PM
The transition from FIAT to crypto I do not think it can happen in an economically avant-garde country, there are too many institutions like banks, industries, shops etc that will use FIAT for many years.
Otherwise the transition from paper money to virtual currency has already been happening for several years now, the problem is that the current digital currency is centralized.
In conclusion, I believe that the transition to a national crypto currency can only take place in third-world countries at risk of economic default.

I've also reporter over few k of posts but right now I'm asking one thing:
Are our reports something really useful or is it just a waste of time? Not just our time,(since we spend hours to report thousands of messages), but also waste time for moderators.
The only solution is to prevent the problem, if we limit ourselves only to limiting spammers we will never win this battle as they can create "infinite numbers of accounts with virtually no limitations".
9366  Other / Meta / Re: Account buy - sell should be ban officially on: August 29, 2018, 07:06:07 PM

These "call centers" are becoming a bit of a problem. Whenever I move a thread to the trashcan, and leave a redirect notice I received several messages from newbie accounts that their "team" can provide bumping services, and what not. So, it seems that the whole industry is looking to employ people to spam. But, because there's multiple people doing it, and different writing styles, and more time its much harder to recognize that it is spam.

If you go for a tour on the ANNOUNCEMENT section and if you open any thread with more than 10 pages you will notice that they are full of messages froum users writing "nice project" or people quoting each other. (and if you look at the post history of these people you notice that they do the same on different threads and you can identify the various bumping teams).
9367  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: August 29, 2018, 03:46:02 PM
There were few users in 2010,Then the user started to grow slowly. now the increase in the number of users has become much more. The increase in the amount of spam is increased due to the increase of the user, Because of which everyone is dissatisfied. Now spammer is not finished with this. There are many problems in the future. Now, for a limited time, it would have been better to turn off a new account open and ban spammers. then again start open a new account system entirely.
See the following picture, how fast the user has emerged since 2010

In the year 2018, the user is overflow

I don't think ban for new users is a good idea since statistically in 10,000 accounts created someone will create an account only because he wants to actively participate in the forum.
The problem as usual is the bounty section, if you limit the bounty section to member + or jr with merit, a lot of spam will be removed as abusers will be no more able to join with 100+ accounts the same campaing like this one, he made 560 accounts only for abusing telegram / airdop campaing https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4759763.msg42989933#msg42989933
9368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will banks disappear because of cryptocurrency? on: August 29, 2018, 12:34:20 AM
I don't know if bank will disapper cause the cryptocurrencies, if the crypto will really be the money of the future we still need a centralization where "old people" and new people need helps to enter on market and to make operations.
Bank will can evolve on this new opportunity or disappear.
A very important thing to say is that if it will ever happen it will be in a long term future, my guess is IF the crypto will be the main market next week than the FIAT will disapper not before that 20 years.

9370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nearly $ 1 billion worth of Ethereum is in ICO projects on: August 29, 2018, 12:17:34 AM
I believe that more money goes into the crypts market and the better the market is for all of us.
People obviously hope to get rich in a short time and therefore try to make a bet with new projects as it is much easier to do x10 in a new ico than do x10 in our bitcoins since is already a huge coin.
The problem is that so many of the money invested sadly goes to hell because of scam, which is why I believe that if the market was regulated with a mandatory and controlled kyc for the creators of a coin there would be more money in the market.
9371  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: August 29, 2018, 12:03:35 AM
Just a few comments to help contextualize the data and conclusions that may be derived:

- Rank is derived from the user profile, and is in a sense a snapshot of the user’s current profile. The ideal would be to have the implied ranks at the moment of the merit being awarded. Since we do not have that detail, what is used is the next best thing.
Nevertheless, this does imply, for example, that all sMerit to and from @Jet Cash are attributed to the Legendary rank, which is his current rank. In truth, he ranked-up a couple of weeks ago, so to be precise, most of his merit TXs should be really attributed to a Hero rank.

- The graphs cover all sMerit TXs since the Merit System start. Since there was more merit at the beginning, the initial TXs wheigh more than recent TXs.

- Both the above can be mitigated largely by delimiting the data to, let’s say, last running month or so (this can be done on the Merit Dashboard by narrowing the Date Range using the slider). This would be representative of what goes on "now" in the Merit System, kill initial TX wheight, and mitigate the change of rank effect mentioned above.
If the graph were to be redone with this criteria, the percentages would move up to 10 points in some cases, although I believe @d5000’s observations apply just the same.

After months and months, do you think anything is changed? Can you elaborate now a new set of datas without the sMerit spend from knowed sources to get a more truthful graph in the end?
Do you think if we only remove the knowed source merit (instead of removing them all since we do not know them all) do will have a similar graph?

@kvanko I will try to change on next update, ty for feedback!

I tired to login with my original account ... actually tried to reset the password ... it said that account is being approved ... then i tried with all my common emails i used to create accounts with back then and they all gave no account with that email ... im sure whoever hacked the account changed the email otherwise all my attempts to reset the password would've reached my email .... the annoying thing is that whoever hacked it, used it for just a few days and then didn't log in afterwards!!!

The email of the accounts seems the same, if the email change in past X days (I believe 60 but we need confirmation from moderators about it) then on the TRUST's page of the account we can read this

But on your account we have no sign of this thing as you can see

This makes me think about the fact that the mail of the account  has never been changed in the last X days.
9373  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: August 28, 2018, 07:17:10 PM
Long time for this kind of update, keep in mind we can assune right now 80% of merit is given from merit source and 80% of merit source has the rank legendary, so the majority of the merit from the higher ranks is from sources!
For a perfect graph we need to remove sources.
I've removed data for admin, founder, mods, Vip and brand new since they have less than 0.0xxx % circulation of total merit.
Datas are from DdmrDdmr datas.

9374  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Merit Phase 2 - Drain the Swamp (@theymos) on: August 27, 2018, 09:40:50 PM
When merit system was introduced, we saw many people appreciating it and telling how it would benefit the forum. No doubt, there are some members here that make good posts here after merit system in hope of getting merits.

But I had seen recently that signature campaigns do not give it much importance now. Earlier, members who had merits were given preference in signature campaign or even paid higher in some cases. But such requirements had been completely removed in signatures campaigns being announced recently.

I like the fact some campaings or better, some bounty managers are doing a great work with the selection of sures for every ranks.
I hate the fact some old users probably are join  signature campaings with 10-20-50 high rank account.
I would like the fact that any manager will pay (with a part of the removed tokens from scammer, not all of them to avoid cheater) who find scammers high rank scammers on campaigns, this will can make the difference.
9375  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: August 27, 2018, 04:35:07 PM
its really hard to earn merits now, how i wish a was active here from the moment i joined.  Cry

Actually nowadays it is more difficult to obtain merit and in my opinion this is due to several reasons:
- the merit airdrop is over, or is ending and people do not have any more merit, so they can't +merit even if a message deserves to be rewarded;
- the sources seem less and less active, as the number of sources increases, the number of merit decreases, it should be the opposite;
- some people do not read messages from random people but only from "most popular people";
- some people do not use the merits received but know they keep them in the grave.
9376  Other / Meta / Re: Spamming Bots! Promoting shit ICOs on: August 27, 2018, 10:42:53 AM
I personally believe that at least 80% of threads in the altcoin section are infested with bots that write on threads to bring them to the front page.
I do not know if it is useful to reportart them all to mods since you create a lot of works for mods and you can not win a war against bots, they can create an unlimited number of accounts against a limited number of mods. They alwasys win.
We need a restriction on registration or on the ability to post.

9378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum a threat to bitcoin on: August 27, 2018, 12:08:11 AM
I do not think it will never be, if we look at the dominance of bitcoin on coinmaketcap is increasing more and more even if the value remains more or less stable, the value of the altcoin is decreasing more and more. Bitcoin at the moment is worth about 1/3 of what was worth in January while ethereum value 1/7.
Also new people entering on merkat will ear about Bitcoin and buy some fraction of Bitcoin, not others altcoin.
For those reason is really hard to see a threat from Ethereum to Bitcoin.
9379  Other / Meta / Re: Community generated suggestions to improve the forum (+ eventual voting on them) on: August 26, 2018, 06:40:29 PM

Imagine all the ratings applied to loan defaulters having no more value. It's like giving them a second chance they don't deserve. Coming up with something to "Decentralize Trust" has to be revolutionary and shouldn't give a clean sheet to scammers from the past. Unless you have found a way to keep everything intact moving forward, I believe its best to leave the issue of trust alone.

P.S Trust based on merit isn't the best solution IMO. You can argue that it can act as a voting system but for what exactly?

I believe that if one day we will have a system in replacement of the current trust system, it will be a system that will take into accounts the current values of each person on the DT network.
I do not think they will ever make a system where everything goes away and everything will starts from zero again, it would make no sense and as you said, even a merit based system does not make sense as many old people here have several high rank accounts and it would easy enough for them to abuse this thing. (we have some people with over 200 merit points abused right now)
9380  Other / Meta / Re: Just an idea on: August 26, 2018, 05:44:02 PM
...user/comapany that once promote a scam ICO including the scam ICO they have promoted.
That's why we have trust system, so I do not think there are any need for a separate list. We do not want anything that will create extra load for the mods/admins. It's clear that we do not have enough human resources so the minimal load for our mods are better for us.

Besides, the forum is not responsible about ICO scams, the forum does not moderate scams. It will be really difficult for the forum to involved officially with any kind of ICO scam investigation. Not everything can go smooth. It's always good when you do good job but when something goes wrong then everyone will blame you. This is the exact reason I can think of for the forum not to moderate ICO scams.

I do not agree. So many users have become bounty managers lately and they are or they had promoted a lot of ICO's scams.
I really like the idea of seeing a summary table with all the projects of each manager, and I think it can also be useful for members who are part of the DT network to get information quickly and easily.
To me the idea to have one table with all links for every project is great and maybe better faster than DT system, since you can see how many scams or missing bounty payments a manager promoted.
