9361  Economy / Speculation / Re: Finally bitcoin above 400 again on: February 28, 2016, 09:16:46 AM
So apparently that was a HK meeting hype pump. $400 next?

500 the next target, you see they are playing 420-450 range for a while now, so it's not too far stretched to think that they are accumulating to break the 500 mark

Whatever happens at current price levels isn't really interesting anymore. I want to see the price break through the high of 2015, and as long as that doesn't happen there is no reason to get excited. I will start to get excited when we burn down the $500 mark.
9362  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price rise is over on: February 28, 2016, 09:13:09 AM
i couldin't nake it a rise, that was just big pump and dump, price changed around 40$ and we stopped at 420$ now, now it should be stable for few months till halving

wrong price is going up and down from 440-410 for last few days
so this isn't over yet

The price rise was already over in November when we reached $500 back then. Since then the price remained well below that level.

9365  Economy / Economics / Re: If you hold 1 BTC you are a pioneer on: February 27, 2016, 09:27:59 AM
I am a dedicated Bitcoin holder and it shows as I have cold wallets where the oldest coins aren't moved for more than 2.5 years. It feels good to hold Bitcoin as it may turn out to be the best decision/investment of my life. I am happily looking forward to what Bitcoin brings for me. I aim for having 50BTC in offline storage before the end of 2017.
9366  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price going back to $250??? on: February 27, 2016, 09:19:29 AM
I think the price will not return to 200 again as the trend passed these levels already.

Just wait to reach the moon  Grin

There is still a possibility,if price would fell that low, there would be a great effect in the community...panic selling might happen again if price fall to that low...

95% chance that it will not happen unless a large exchange gets hacked or something like that. But if it tanks that deep, then I wouldn't mind it as it allows me to buy up these $250 coins. Wink What can be seen as a bad thing by some people, will turn out to be a great chance for the others.
9367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I helping by running a 30Kb/s node on: February 27, 2016, 08:41:17 AM
Well, it's more a matter of, what's better, a slow node, or no node at all. I will always prefer a slower node. When people have their wallet open they are connected with around 10-30 nodes. If there are a few slow nodes between the rest of the nodes it won't cause much problems for other people. May I ask why your connection is that slow?
9368  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-02-25] Guardian: Japan considers making bitcoin a legal currency on: February 27, 2016, 08:27:54 AM
I find it very hard to believe. When it comes to these sort of artciles; Action speaks louder than words. But I am sure it will have some impact on the average joe's of this world. Perhaps they will feel a bit more safatey when using Bitcoin.
9369  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the minimum amount to start as a trader? on: February 27, 2016, 08:06:11 AM
unexperienced trader should begin with 0.01, for increase their confidence, then you can do 0.1, and 1 do a 10x increment each time you made a good profit with the previous amount

i use this strategy for now, because i'm not a pro

With very low amounts people tend to take way too much risk to get a decent proft from their investment.

OP; I think the best is just to start with 0.2BTC if you can afford that. Use 0.1 to begin with and the other 0.1 for when you feel a bit more confident.
9370  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: What year will Bitcoin reach $10,000? on: February 26, 2016, 10:51:50 AM
I think mid-2018, I think in that year, all the people already know and believe in bitcoin. even everyone already knows how to use them  Smiley

I think the price will reach $10,000 in 5 to 10 years. We need to be patient. Price bubble is not good.

I think it would be more than ten years, $10,000 would only make new users to might just avoid bitcoin as they cannot afford it anymore...so most probably we will not go that high in 10 years.. I hope I am wrong...  Smiley

Every one can afford Bitcoin, even at a price of $10,000. Remember that you can split 1BTC into a hundred million smaller units. You can also set your wallet to show mBTC if you so wish. Then your 1BTC will show up as 1000mBTC.
9371  Economy / Speculation / Re: 400$ was the top on: February 26, 2016, 10:42:22 AM
$400 might be the top now. But I think it will be bottom in a year or two. We will never see $400 again.

No way 400 (50o) was the top.

For the coming period i expect the price to go up even more.
Maybe 500 again just before the end of march.

$400 will be the bottom in the next few weeks. There is very strong buying support there to hold it.

The support will get stronger above $400 but it's all relative as bots instantly pull back their buy orders when the price comes very close. Right now it might look as very strong buy support, but 1 minute later the support can be gone.
9372  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you buy Bitcoins? on: February 26, 2016, 10:28:09 AM
I try to earn bitcoin and when I have alternate earning I used to buy a small part of bitcoin with that, because
it would surely give you a profit.I feel bitcoin to be a place we can get profit even with very minimal money

Bitcoin can eventually give you a more than decent return on your investment, but I don't think you can gain much with a small investment unless the price shoots up to a few thousand per coin within a few years. Out of curiosity, what do you consider to be 'very minimal money'?
9373  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: February 26, 2016, 10:23:21 AM

I thought most of the cloudmining are scam?

Correct, the majority of the cloud mining sites have turned into scams after some time. Genuine cloud mining simply isn't very rewarding as there are fees you have to deal with and also the constantly higher becomming difficulty. Just use your common sense. When something looks too good to be true, then it most likely is a scam.
9374  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-02-26] Current state of Bitcoin in Russia on: February 26, 2016, 09:15:18 AM
Nothing that we didn't know already before this article. It seems that more and more low quality articles are written by news sites due the lack of real news. CCN and Coindesk also seem to do this.
9375  Economy / Speculation / Re: market cap of bitcoin in 2050 on: February 26, 2016, 09:05:29 AM
If the bitcoin market cap is 10% of the gold market cap, or $730 billion  the price will be $35,000 each.

This will only be possible if the price reaches an insane all time high. We need all kind of institutional investors to use Bitcoin as store of wealth, etc. I am already happy if we manage to see Bitcoin have 1% of the total market cap of Gold within 5-10 years.
9376  Economy / Speculation / Re: >400$=sell time on: February 26, 2016, 08:44:42 AM
no, i won't sell them even if it will be around 200$, know why? because it will rise again someday, you just need to wait

Only panic noobs will sell their coins when the price is sitting around $200. After they sold at $200 they will buy back at $350. Cheesy
9377  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stable Bitcoin Price on: February 25, 2016, 11:50:53 AM
Its stable indeed. But I dont like it. I hope it will rise soon. Bitcoin now has no value. I cant sell it now. I hope it will be more worth.
Maybe next month it is going to rise. At least I hope that it will happen. But you never know what is going to happen in the future.

If the price is stable around $450 for 3 months, the price will rich $1000 after the block reward halving.

How do you come up with that? I really don't see how a three month stable price at $450 will result in $1000 after the block halving. We have to eat through hundreds of thousands of coins being sold across the largest exchanges in the runup to $1000. All that will make it a very difficult target for this year. I think it's more realistic to think about $1000 in 2017.
9378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: wallet.dat - Can we introduce a BIP to rename to what we like? on: February 25, 2016, 11:26:44 AM
malware target the format or anything that is inside the roaming i doubt they are targetting precisely only the "wallet name", so it's useless

use a safe environment and you will be safe, and above all uise your brain, i never lost any coins, from my hotwallet, and i even downloaded plenty of stuff(but not risky of course)

In the last years there is a huge influx of specially written virusses to target Bitcoin users and to steal their coins as result. They do aim at wallet.dat files on the computer of the victim. It's an easy task for them.
9379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What strategy you use to trade bitcoin? on: February 25, 2016, 11:20:41 AM
I only buy when the price is dumped to the ground. While a lot people panic sell fearing the price to go lower I buy up their coins with a smile on my face. I always keep buying till the bottom. Other than that I also do day trading if the volume and price swings are large enough to profitable trade during the day.
9380  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-02-25] Themerkle: Taking Precautions When Selling Bitcoin For PayPal on: February 25, 2016, 11:16:10 AM
There are still plenty of noob Bitcoin sellers that don't know anything about the risks of receiving PayPal cash for their coins, and these will end up learning a very costly lesson at the end. Best is to skip selling Bitcoin for PayPal. Better safe than sorry.
