9361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Sending funds using HD wallets ? on: August 27, 2016, 01:54:47 PM
HD wallets are all about privacy and security as you generates a new address each time you want to do a transaction , now let's assume I have both these addresses  (grabbed them randomly from Blockchain.info) :
Code:
161KxR9rfW7XVxiAk7oJ6t7dpryUFXTxvE    - 0.30 [btc]
1HCocZuYDhTc7ioCsaeVzPnkJVxi6mAMT1  - 0.80 [btc]

and they are both generated by an HD wallet ... If I want to send 1.10 BTC , will both addresses appears in the blockchain ? If it's the case then how this will keep me anonymous exactly  Huh It doesn't make much sense
9362  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Someone use Payoneer? on: August 27, 2016, 10:13:02 AM
I use Payoneer myself, and they are legit, I used them for few years until their U.S payment services stopped working with PayPal (which means you can't verify your PayPal account with the bank account linked to the Card).

Card allow C2C transactions (you can send to another hold of Payoneer account funds with no fees), As for DHL, I ordered it myself, It took couple of days, and I paid 60$ (they will give you a tracking number as well) , card also have fees (~30$ per year).

Overall, I don't really like it. I would use Neteller If I were you since It allows C2C transactions as well and there is a lot more users to trade with unlike Payoneer. Neteller also doesn't have annual fees like Payoneer (you just pay 13$ to ship it to you, and that's it)
9363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How and why Steem failed ? on: August 27, 2016, 07:56:26 AM
At some point, everyone was talking about it, I've even seen people in the introduction section writing how they quit their full-time jobs, etc... just to stay with Steem and now, It's pretty much gone with ~100m $ market cap while It was almost 300m $
Bitcoin too is "pretty much gone", see it used to trade at 1200 USD per coin now it's only 580 USD per coin. No kidding folks, price and marketcap never lie, Bitcoin is so dead I tell ya.

If it increased to 1200 USD then it's pretty much because Willybot from Mt.Gox , even If they wasn't the reason, saying bitcoin is dead based on the marketcap is far from being true as the marketcap is above 9 billion dollar which isn't the case for any other crypto currency.
If we put the price aside and look at the developement ,It also look very promising as the SegWit is coming soon, Lightning network and more...

9364  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blocktrail.com | Wallet | Explorer | API on: August 27, 2016, 07:33:41 AM
hello in blocktrail com use service private key for client or not
i can't see privat key in blocktrail

You can't get your private keys as It's a multi-signature wallet otherwise, It wouldn't make much sense to hold both private keys. But you are still the owner of the wallet , which means Black trail couldn't spend anything without you however If Blocktrail goes down for one reason or another you could restore your wallet .

If Blocktrail is ever unavailable you are always able to restore your wallet using the Blocktrail backup recovery document. This document is not specific to Blocktrail, and can work with Bitcoin-core directly.

9365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: Question - Mobile Bitcoin Wallet (I am noob) on: August 26, 2016, 06:53:53 PM
Wallet you linked us to is definitely legit and It was the first Android wallet (based on the Bitcoin Core) , It doesn't downlaod the whole blockchain because It's an SPV wallet (Simplfied Payment Verification)

"A Bitcoin implementation that does not verify everything, but instead relies on either connecting to a trusted node, or puts its faith in high difficulty as a proxy for proof of validity. BitCoinJ is an implementation of this mode."

I'm not sure about how backups work as I never tested the wallet but people don't use that wallet anymore , instead, Mycelium is probably the best choice : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mycelium.wallet
It doesn't need to download the blockchain either and you could make backups just by backing the master seed (see the full list on features in the link of Google play - more features are coming in the upcoming days/weeks probably)
9366  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why is offering escrow bad? on: August 26, 2016, 04:00:27 PM
I'm against the people who gave you negative trust since you didn't scam anyone (I suppose). However, I also don't support what you did, You build a reputation to help people for escrow services and not do escrow services for making a reputation.

and backing yourself with "I could scam those two traders" doesn't mean anything , as Master-P was one of the most trusted escrows out there and made a lot of transactions here and he finally stole thousands of dollars and ran away. (He simply wanted to go big , even If could start scamming earlier) (don't get me wrong , I'm not accusing you of anything)
9367  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Legendary members supporting scams ? :( on: August 26, 2016, 03:30:41 PM
It's the person who is trustworthy or not and not the rank , just like you can find Legendary scammers ,you can find newbies with trust.
If you take a look at his profile you will see that his most of his transaction are low amounts of Bitcoins so he only got lucky by trading with a DefaultTrust user who gave him positive feedback without forgetting the fact that this account could be bought by somebody else from the forums.

I also don't mean to be rude , but If the community members does their job (by reporting threads like this), threads wouldn't stay open long for people get vouch copies.
(I know that moderators don't moderate scams but Hacking,Cracking & Social engineering (refunding) services are against the rules of the forums)
9368  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blocktrail.com | Wallet | Explorer | API on: August 26, 2016, 03:09:10 PM
Hi ,

I switched to BTC.com as the email requested to but It seems like there is something wrong, I received some bitcoin and when I click "see on btc" on the transaction details here :

I'm getting redirected to this NotFound page : https://btc.com/notfound
As you can see on the details , confirmations number is correct and the transaction shows without issues on blockchain.info
TX ID If you want to take a closer look : 81acc5f6075d425f5f4a1ae75cbae919fa5737a5e72a5f359421fd4ce12485ea

EDIT : "Received from" is also bugged as It should show the bitcoin address you receive bitcoins from.
9369  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Advertising Experience on BitMedia.io? on: August 26, 2016, 02:47:54 PM
There is this list which contains every Bitcoin advertising network ou there (or almost) : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1108616.20
As for Bitmedia , I personally haven't tested them before but I must tell you that I've seen a couple of scam accusations against them (not sure if they are valid or not) so you may want to read more about it before enrolling with them.
9370  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [Have] Bitcoin [Need] Neteller on: August 26, 2016, 11:25:29 AM
Can do this for you. Will go first in small amounts ($20). Just get back to if you are interested.

I'm willing to keep the amounts for a decent amount of time in my account so small amounts or not , I can't take chances to get chargebacked & I prefer to deal with trustworthy members as I stated on the OP (which you clearly didn't read)
9371  Other / MultiBit / Re: Something about Multibit Classic and fees on: August 26, 2016, 10:29:15 AM
0.0001 BTC is the minimum fee possible...
In Multibit Classic, you can set a fee of 0.00001 Bitcoins in settings.
But, when you send a transaction, you pay 0.0001 Bitcoins fee.

Multibit Classic is no longer supported but you still can find the source code in Github and do the needed modifications. It's most likely because 0.0001 is the recommended fees so setting them to lower then 0.0001 BTC will make Multibit adjust them for you. (I could be wrong though)
9372  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Verifying Bitcoin Core on: August 26, 2016, 10:13:46 AM
Is it only pre release versions we need to be careful of?

I'm not going to download it until the stable version of 0.13.0 is released - Will that be safe?

As far as I know this is an official release , otherwise It wouldn't be listed here in the first place : https://bitcoin.org/en/download

RC versions are most likely the unstable ones before the official releases as you can see on the Github page :

Next version will be 0.13.1 (with SegWit I suppose) and not 0.13.0

If I were you , I would verify every wallet (including electrum , multibit HD and others) as those could be compromised as well , so you should probably check every release from now on.
9373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Baidu Stops All Bitcoin-Related Advertising on: August 26, 2016, 07:29:19 AM
For those who don't know, Baidu is a Chinese search engine and according to Alexa.com, It's considered as the fourth most visited website in the World.
In which ways ? They will be losing out on a lot of ad revenue. If they're fine with that, why should we bother ? Cheesy

Whenever there is good news , bad news follows for some reasons. (Twitch re-adds Bitcoin as payment method and now Baidu stops everything related to it).
How many people even use Baidu?Don't think that will be doing any bad to the bitcoin world except for faucets.Do you think they will stop showing faucets as well? Faucet==Bitcoin adds==Against baidu's new terms and conditions?

Cointelegraph gave two possible reasons since Baidu didn't make any statements.
- Because of Ponzi schemes which they can't control
- Because government asked them to.
Well, they can always check the businesses before advertising them ?Simply putting a ban on all the advertisements which endorse any bitcoin related investment procedures should have been a much simpler solution

Chinese probably have a better knowledge about Bitcoin then most of the Bitcoiners so I don't think they could fall for Ponzi schemes that easy s, In the other hand I don't think government asked them to do that either.
That's a myth!Don't be surprised to know that Chinese are well versed in running biggest ponzi schemes.

So , where Bitcoin is heading... for real ?
Not sure where that is coming from. What any of these has to do with the future of bitcoins? You're blowing it out of proportions!

Almost every Chinese out there use Baidu daily. (number of users of internet in China is +700,000) so I guess It will affect Bitcoin on one way or another and yes faucets will be affected as well. (anything related to btc or crypto currencies)

9375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Baidu Stops All Bitcoin-Related Advertising on: August 26, 2016, 05:36:36 AM
Two possible reasons by cointelegraph could be the real reason behind this but if they don't like to have Ponzi programs running in their network, why don't they just moniter every ad when it is created. If Baidu have stopped than, do you think Google AdWords also do same in future?

They must have thousands, If not millions of ads so monitoring them is probably not an option for them, Google do advertise for random stuff related to Bitcoin (like Bitcoin generators, etc... which obviously doesn't exist and contains malware as bitcoin is based on cryptography).
If a lot of people report them, they will probably get removed, though. (It's the same way as faucets, It's against the rules of Google Adsense, but people use them anyway, so unless someone reports that website, Google won't remove their ads from there)
9376  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin core = VPS on: August 25, 2016, 07:59:46 PM
Hello, I installed and I on the Bitcoin core vps linux operating system and not know how to transfer Bitcoin wallet in another online wallet,, I used the google translate and I was attentive to proofreading

It's not that hard , once you have the receiver address address , you go here (in the Pay To  textbox and you put the address and choose the amount and just send) :

You may need to wait till the client download the blockchain file . (Synchronization with network)

PS : Using online wallets (like BLockchain.info etc... )is not recommended as they are not secure like other wallets (they could get hacked) so just don't store big amounts there.
9377  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin core = VPS on: August 25, 2016, 07:47:47 PM
Hello, I installed a Bitcoin core operating system linux vps, how to get money out of Bitcoin wallet?

I'm not sure I get your question , but If you mean "earning" bitcoin using the wallet then It's impossible , If you want the $ out the wallet (like send it to another one) , you could simply SEND it or export the private keys : http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/4203/how-can-i-export-the-private-key-for-an-address-from-the-satoshi-client

9379  Economy / Currency exchange / [WTS] Bitcoin , Want Neteller (Cheap) on: August 25, 2016, 06:05:38 PM
As stated in the title , I have Bitcoin (200$ ~)  and I'm looking for Neteller.

I'm only willing to trade with trusted users  only (Should be Senior members or above as well) , If you are trusted enough then I have no problem going first otherwise you go first or we use an escrow (you will pay the fees). My rates are preev.com  +5%

9380  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What should i build? What you want to see? on: August 25, 2016, 05:50:42 PM
I am looking to make some sort of payment service, but don't have anything one the mind.
Share what you want to see in Bitcoin world?

If It's for the community, then I would suggest making a free open-source bot for signature campaigns, not a simple one, though.
Users should be able to see their stats and other people stats (like we see top players in games websites for example) , stats like how much persons enrolled into the sig campaign , how much $ has been paid and also when the next payment is (depends If it's per post or monthly)
Here is an example from the old Bit-x BOT : http://bitsig.website/thebot/ .

It shouldn't be that hard to build honestly , and you could build much more tools for the Bitcointalk community using the Epochtalk API : https://github.com/epochtalk/epochtalk/wiki/Epochtalk-API-Documentation (since we all know that developers struggle sometimes as there is no API in the current forums)

As for the Altcoin website you just suggested, I don't like the idea as most of the time Altcoins out there are subjected to price manipulations so I don't want to buy "random" Altcoins personally.

A crowdfunding idea! where on "Online website developments/online business" we will hold money. It will not be directly access able to owner. we will directly pay their developers so chances of running away will be lesser.

I really like this idea and I guess It will be very useful and used by people (as long as you keep decentralized)
