9381  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC = 1000$ in 2016 on: February 25, 2016, 11:00:45 AM
I think its impossible that the price in this year will be $1000 and i think next goal price is 600 and the maximum average is 700...
Maybe in the future the price will rise to 1k per bitcoins...
I too think it will not exceed 700 either.  Just the thought of it going to $1000 is shocking in the least as it has not seen that 1k mark in several years.
Highest I know of is it being $1200 in 2011.

$700 is definitely an achievable target for this year, especially when Chinese giant exchanges Huobi and OKCoin offer an helping hand if you know what I mean. Wink
9382  Economy / Economics / Re: Poloniex or bitfinex? on: February 25, 2016, 10:57:44 AM
Bitfinex of course, but just to add; We have seen the largest altcoin exchanges go bankrupt due to their greedy owners steeling from their custommers. I don't say this will happen with Poloniex, but it's something to keep in mind. History tend to repeat quite often.
9383  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans too risky? on: February 25, 2016, 10:54:26 AM
I think he means test net Bitcoins. Cheesy
9384  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: February 24, 2016, 10:20:00 AM
Price down to $ 420 was quite startled. 1 day to go down that much. how do you think that investing in bitcoin?

For now better to not investing on bitcoin now, because i think the price of bitcoin will keep decrease today. maybe invest back on bitcoin when the price is not decrease again.

Buying when the price goes down is always the best thing to do. Especially if you have enough funds to buy all the way down. Don't think many people have the balls for this, but it allows you to buy at the lowest point and you then benefit from the price going up again.
9385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: February 24, 2016, 10:09:27 AM
The main goal of creating bitcoin was to stop relying on third parties in our daily transactions and use pear to pear ones only. So if bitcoin become viral, it will end banks of course

No, that's not possible, people will start using bitcoins more in future but they would not just leave to use banks, as majority of people have more faith in the traditional banking system.

Traditional banks as we know them will never go away. I am sure that they at some point will come up with their own digital currency where their customers get all the benefits from crypto currencies but where the banks are still full in control of every economy aspect. The average joe has more trust in something issued by the bank than something "decentralized" as Bitcoin.
It cant make it disappear. But I think that in the future that banks will reduce more. But we still need them. Everyone need a bank.
Many people dont use Bitcoin or they dont even know what Bitcoin is and that is sad. I hope later in the future that more people will use Bitcoin.

And the most important is that the value is going to rise.

At this point we do need banks, yes, and that won't change. But I am quite sure that banks and governments feel the pressure of the upcomming digital currency revolution. To not fall behind or lose precious market share, they will come up with their own digital currency. I am sure it will take them at least 10 years to release their own digital currency. We still have time to make people realize what the potential of Bitcoin is.
9386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lots of $839,000 Transactions on: February 24, 2016, 10:03:07 AM
These are always transactions created by exchanges or mining farms. They have to keep moving their coins from time to time for security reasons.
9387  Other / Archival / Re: Should we sell btc? on: February 24, 2016, 09:55:39 AM
Please dont do that. The value now is very low and it wont be good if you are now are going to sell it.
The value is low now. And maybe if you wait a little longer the price will rise for a good value and that is very good. I hope that it will rise for a long time.

It depends on the sort of trader you are. If you are just a long term holder where you don't do any trading during the months, then yes, keep holding. If you do day trading, then you can sell and buy back several times a day if there are large enough price swings.
9388  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falling under 300 again on: February 24, 2016, 09:44:30 AM
OP should really change the title of this thread, but since it is kwukduck he will definitely not change it. I think it's better to get this thread locked and unlocked when we are nearing the $300 level again. People keep commenting here like the price currently is sitting at $320. Cheesy
9389  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: February 24, 2016, 12:09:07 AM
maybe they've hurt because bitcoin, or lost in gambling bitcoin or can also invest with big amouth and lose all lol Grin
bitcoin will live forever! Cool Cool

Yup many haters around us in bitcointalk. But bitcoin have a strong and healthy life in future as well. Because price of the bitcoin and many adaption are there in bitcoin.  So due to supply and demand in future bitcoin will rule the world.

I don't think they are haters. I think it's a strategy to undermine bitcoin in the short term so they can make a lot of money because of it.

I also don't think they are real haters, but they only act like so just to create panic among the less experienced cummunity members. Look at kwukduck for example, this dude acts like he as an ultra bearish person, but in fact he is buying coins while he keeps saying that the price will crash to very low levels. What hater buys coins at various prices levels that he has been very negative about? What hater buys coins at various prices levels when he is yelling that the price will go sub $300? Wink
9390  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: February 23, 2016, 11:59:04 PM
They are different payment scheme. You can use paypal for many currencies. bitcoin is just bitcoin.

Your argument doesn't hold much value. I can cash out Bitcoin to any currency that I want. I can purchase stuff with Bitcoin that is priced in any kind of currency. Wink

PayPal charges a fee for converting fiat to fiat. That's something you don't have to worry about with Bitcoin. Bitcoin is simply superior compared to PayPal.

9392  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price rise is over on: February 23, 2016, 11:17:49 PM
It's just that China holds so many bitcoins that they can affect the prices in a global scale.

maybe it is hard to admit, but China IS Bitcoin..so everything, what is related to Bitcoin is related to communistic country without human right situated somewhere near Russia and India:)) well played.

so what youre saying is, if china bails out on bitcoin entirely, we are screwed in price? lol.

but you know lets totally ignore all the us money that still makes up bitcoin to price point as well. we saw china`s exchange in the past saying they no longer want a part of bitcoin to manipulate some price points - and it still held.  Roll Eyes

Xialla has a good point there. Just look at who's controlling nearly all the hash power. Chinese miners are in the game to make money and I am sure that the Chinese exchanges will do everything to keep the price at a certain price level to please the Chinese mining farms as they are somehow connected to each other.
9393  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price going to sub-400 again? on: February 23, 2016, 11:13:07 PM
If we can drop from $440 to $414 in a very short time, then we can definitely see the $400 level being tested, but I expect it to rise further from here. My target still is somewhere between $440-$450 for this week.
9394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core version 0.12.0 released on: February 23, 2016, 11:04:43 PM
I have installed the 0.12.0 version and finally I am healed from the ultra slow block syncing that I was suffering from in the previous updates. That's a great step forwards to me. Smiley
9395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: When do you think miners will start to switch to altcoins? on: February 23, 2016, 10:04:35 AM
Where have you been the last few years? Miners mine anything that makes them profit. It's nothing new.
9396  Economy / Speculation / Re: Halving has already Begun, Yes or No? on: February 23, 2016, 09:09:00 AM
I too feel that the pre-consequences of halving has started to reflect in bitcoin values. The hype about higher prices will make people to secure some bitcoins before it turn more costly. Hope to test $1000 levels before halving itself.

At this point $1000 before the block halving is highly unlikely. You know how many people are ready to sell their Bitcoins as soon as they see the price come close to $500-$600? A lot! That alone makes it very difficult to reach $1000 this year.
9397  Economy / Speculation / Re: 500$ This Dec ! on: February 23, 2016, 08:35:12 AM
It's febuary now, price is 420$, but it might, and probably will, rise more, maybe to 500$ again

The price will be over $500 in the next 2 to 3 months. The market will react to the block halving earlier than expected.

It's not earlier than expected. It's just a normal price increase considering people are buying themself a good position in the market. The real pump that people are waiting for will happen a few weeks to a month before the actual block halving.

i hope to happen after halving when most will dump cuz they were disappoint with price then few month after halving i expect bigger price change

When people start dumping like there is no tomorrow the good traders know that it will make them a lot money in a very short time. It's an expected dump that a lot people can benefit from.
That will not happen I think. I think the value will be much more and that more people can enjoy their money if they are going to sell it.
But it is hard to predict because it is a currency. I hope later that it will rise for a long time so we can sell it with profit.

we all hope to see it happen anyway will be good to invest cash to btc or try to make btc to some alt but that can be huge gamble if pick wrong one

Well too much predictions in this thread but its going to happen now after halving we will surely see 500$ I hope before march or at least in march . People who bought btc at 370s are in real profit now.

Really smart guys are holding since $250's and will most likely only sell when the price is comming close to $600-$700 and not before that.
9398  Economy / Speculation / Re: ~415 - Break out up, or down? on: February 23, 2016, 08:05:32 AM
It's going up as we can see it... and seems that it is going to stay at $430 - $450 this coming week... I hope that it would stay there longer..

don't you have a dejavu about this? 230-250 for a while then breaking 300, i can bet that the same thing will happen, with a skyrocket to 1k or around that level

You always seem to be over-optimistic with your predictions. Don't you think you should be a bit more conservative? In order to see a price near $1000 there must be a huge load of demand in a very short time period. Where do you think this will come from?
9399  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin value is 440+ on: February 23, 2016, 08:00:47 AM
seems price will not broken 450$, i see we already touch level 440$ and then price goes down again it's happen many times and i predict price will back to 400$-420$

Have some patience. I am sure that we will break through the $450 level this week. It will be interesting to see if we go down from that point or continue to go up.
9400  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is going back to $400 on: February 22, 2016, 11:58:21 AM
It's even more than 400$ at the moment  i write this, and it's rising now up, but it may drop pretty soon becouse of pump and dump like always, but i don't think that it will go below 400$

Anything can happen with Bitcoin. What looks good today can look completely different tomorrow. What goes up fast can also come down fast. That's why you should never take a certain price for granted.
