Just few hours ahead. Some of my rigs are in ready mode ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) how do you know how much time? They announced about testnet time is at 7 PM UTC, so about next 3 hrs: http://pool.gold/

I'm using some AMD rigs, and I'm going to grab more AMD cards but not now. The prices are still a way higher than profit.
|
|

I think both are expensive. If your budget is around 1600$-2000$, better option is purchasing rig with 3 x Vega56 or 3 x GTX1070 Ti.

Actually nothing is perfect. A lot of coins are similar to big coins. So for my portfolio, I would spend most on BTC which is the best one.
|
|
|
I'm going to buy more on big volume coins: XRP, FTC, VTC, XVG. But now spend most on BTC.

|
|
Your setup is really impressive. Btw I'm just curious that why hashrate of P106 is almost at optimum while 1080Ti did not get that high.

I store coins in a offline clean computer and Ledger Nano S.

It looks like some old coins are rising again. The market is bustle with lots of new coins and lots of trash coins.

anyone having issues with latest nvidia drivers?
Version 388.00 for GTX 1070 working fine. Any improvement on hashrate with driver ver.388.00?

Hey !
Thanks a lot for all these answers ! Really appreciate it.
I'm not sure I should spend more money (getting 1070Ti, for example) since it's my first rig : do you know if the gap between the 1060 and the 1070 (or even the TI) make a real difference ?
(for example, MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti AERO 8G is 469€ where I live, which would make the rig quite expansive (around 2800€ just for the GPUs) and the GTX 1060 is twice cheaper (around 220€/GPU)).
Cheers,
So I make a draft calculations for your references, you should edit to fit your plan ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) (I convert all to usd): #1: Rig 6x1060 - Total hashrate for VTC: 114 Mh/s - Total PCs' cost: 250$*6(GPUs) + 140$ (850W PSU) + 110$ (MB) + 125$ (RAM+CPU) + 75$ (risers+frame+peripherals) = 1950$ - Power cost (my cost): (750W*24*30)*0.1$/KWh = 54$ => hashrate/cost = 114/(1950+54) = 0.0569 #2: Rig 6x1070 - Total hashrate for VTC: 195 Mh/s - Total PCs' cost: 495$*6(GPUs) + 240$ (Super Flower 1300W PSU) + 110$ (MB) + 125$ (RAM+CPU) + 75$ (risers+frame+peripherals) = 3520$ - Power cost (my cost): (1010W*24*30)*0.1$/KWh = 73$ => hashrate/cost = 195/(3520+73) = 0.0543 So I'm mining with 1070 cards, just because it could get high hashrate on most of algorithms.

Still have few months ahead but I do not understand why everyone sell on the panic and withdraw all just right after the announcement.

If you could spend more money on this rig, 1070 or coming 1070 Ti should be the best. My Galax 1060 6Gb (230$) gets around 23Mh/s for ETH mining, and 19Mh/s for VTC (Lyara2v2 algo.) while my MSI 1070 (495$) reaches about 31Mh/s in ETH and 32.5 Mh/s for VTC. I'm using Tpruvot CCminer 2.2.2 for VTC, and Claymore dual miner for ETH: https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/releaseshttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1433925.0 For MB/CPU: Prime Z270-A is very good, it could handle 8 GPUs with M2-extension, CPU G3930 is good enough. So for PSU, if you're going with 6x1060, 850W is enough (each card 1060 may draw 110W at 90% power limit, I usually set power limit at 80-85%). And for 6x1070 rig, 1300W PSU should be good.

I've already tried with all GPUs Asus mining P106-100 which are available for me now: 1. Update window 10 to ver.1709: still regconize only 8 GPUs. I'm not sure how some Chinese did for 16 GPUs P106-100 in win10, but my friend visited and confirmed that's real. 2. Simplemining OS: regconize maximum 16 GPUs. My AMD cards are in another place so could not go further test by mixing AMD+Nvidia. Btw, Bits Be Trippin had some tests on this, it's really interesting to take a look: https://www.youtube.com/user/BitsBeTrippin/videos

Poor me, I've just sent 0.3 BTC to Novaexchange, then purchased some altcoins. Right after all transactions finished, I got the announcement.

Hi,
Sorry for my bad English: What's exact meaning of this "2017-11-30 Deposits disabled for ALL coins, all users get level 3 verified account level"? Does it mean: Only users get level 3 verified acc could deposit by 2017-11-30? And the deadline for withdrawal is also 2017-11-30 right?
Thanks in advances!

Hi Umine,
How do you know which card is hashing on summary board (--pec), for example GPU1&3/2&5 are quite same on hashrate? It's not relative with device manager list right?
Thanks in advance!
Yes there is no agreement between device manager GPU order and mining software GPU order. I overclocked them separatelly. I started mining only on the GPU0 and clocked it by MSI AB then on GPU1 and so on. And finaly I identified all GPUs in the rig Thank you very much! I tried this before, but it didnt work for me. Then finally I just overclocked a bit for all cards.

Now the rig is on Equihash: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F2fxHCua.jpg&t=663&c=sGO4vOwPnmQ_Pg) Note: Gigabyte 1080 TURBO is not the best choise - it's cheap but hotter about 10 degree. For 1080 chip 3-slot cooling system is right choise (like Palit JS,SJS,GR,GRP; Giga Aorus; etc) Hi Umine, How do you know which card is hashing on summary board (--pec), for example GPU1&3/2&5 are quite same on hashrate? For your configuration, it's quite similar to my rigs. So I'm mining with:
1. Asus Prime Z270 - could handle 8 GPUs - expensive (~145$)- very stable at high OC 2. Biostar TB250-BTC - 6 GPUs - reasonable price (~105$) - quite stable, crash stime at high OC 3. Gygabyte H110 - D3A - 6 GPUs - cheap (~98$) - quite stable at high OC.

Loads of great info on this forum - so Im sorry if this has been covered before. I want to start mining alt-coins. Is it possible with eg one 12 GPU setup to mine simultaneously alt-coins such as Vertcoin and Monero? Electricity cost is approx $0.04/kWh. And....Do you think it will be profitable? I have budget for the rig. Thanks guys ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) edit GPU - something like Nvidia EVGA GTX 1060 Gaming SC 6GB It's really hard to switch between VTC and XMR, you should get references on Lyara2v2 and Cryptonight algorithm: https://whattomine.com/I never tried mixing AMD and Nvidia cards in the same rig, but I think it's not good idea. For me, I would like to switch between ETH/XMR/DCR/UBQ... (as I'm doing) or VTC/FTC/ZEC/ZEN.....
