941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would you measure your success in Crypto currency on: July 28, 2023, 03:49:00 AM
Many said its absolutely a scam, pathetic and more. but crypto currency has favored to those who trusted on it, In terms of cross border payment, p2p and vice versa the domination of crypto is keep on increasing. In terms of investment people knew only Crude, stocks, bonds, stock market, gold etc...but this platform made a way ahead to make money harder and smarter, I know most of the government's are not favoring this but in upcoming years you will see the green signal for crypto as well.

Well if you listen to them and believed all the negative thoughts about crypto, then for your you have missed a lot of things. But good for those who maintain their believed in crypto just like the rest of us, as it is a game changer. And for sure, majority has made a lot of money already thru their trading and investing.

I personally feel it has changed most of us in our life, In terms of technology and development we every one know the way we are heading towards web3, metaverse, defi are remarkable. All credits to development of bitcoin Smiley I am earning this from as well, I never thought I would make much descent money in this sector. share your success as well thankyou Cheesy

It has evolved a lot, specially I think the golden years of bitcoin or crypto was that 2017 all time high. Because for me that is the year wherein we really see a lot of projects booming and then people started to realized what crypto can bring. And so there is ICO->IEO and others and now P2E, Web3 and Metaverse. So it will continue to grow specially that we are approaching the bull run next year.
942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again. Will you take it? on: July 28, 2023, 01:25:46 AM
No matter how skillful or strategic in gambling you can't make up to 5btc in the space of 1 year through gambling, in the world of gambling there are very few punters that would say they've come close to getting such amount in the space of one year, so I wonder why someone would decide to reject such an offer, if I'm given such an offer I'll quit gambling and invest my money in other valuable commodities like investing in Gold, petroleum or even investing real estate and if possible owning my own gambling platform.

That's true mate, for how long will it take a gambler to have the opportunity of making upto that amount of money, gambling is what we do without having certainty on either winning or not whereby when you're given the opportunity to rece 5btc just like that, no body in his right thinking mind will not accept the offer of bitcoin over gambling since gambling is all about making money and we've already received the offer of having money without the stress and risk to gamble.
Shit never mind earning 5 btc in a single year, most of us here truth be told no matter how high roller would never get as much as 5 bitcoin in their whole gambling lifetimes. And that's with all factors included so if we're being realistic here the amount of things you can do with 5 btc beyond just the simple monetary gain is already astounding especially if you're living in third world countries where price of stuff isn't that high compared to world standards. I get why some people may choose gambling over money, it's their choice and I respect that but it doesn't mean I agree with it or that I "understand" why they chose so lol. The point of some for gambling is to chase money anyway, and then the moment they were given a choice between money and gambling they chose gambling, what a bunch of losers.

It's different for every person I guess, 5 bitcoins though is not enough to make a good living in our country at the current price. Yeah maybe you can buy a nice house or nice car. But the question is, how you can sustain that life if you empty that money and buy those things?

And maybe that's why majority of us will not accept it but rather just have a normal life and then enjoy gambling in the side. Maybe they could earn 5 bitcoin later, the most important thing is to just enjoy life. Because if you got that 5 bitcoin and then stop gambling totally, if might affect your mind.
943  Other / Off-topic / Re: Missing Crypto Millionaire Found Dismembered in a Suitcase on: July 28, 2023, 01:00:38 AM
Probably some of his enemies in the industry or some that he made enemies with in the background. It could also be possible that since he's a dime-a-dozen cryptocurrency influencer, they tried kidnapping him for ransom and then killed him when they found no use for him anymore. It was also said that he is involved in some shady dealings and questionable businesses with some people that might've turned to him owing a large debt to some people like what @Stalker22 has said.

It's not uncommon for these crypto-influencers who used their fame for profit to get what was coming to them, Pleterski just got sacked and kidnapped for $3 million by some of the people who he screwed over with his "crypto" scams and the funny thing is, despite him being the root cause of all this the kidnappers were the ones that got jailed and he's able to run free again without major consequences from his actions, well besides a badly beaten face and a scarring event that should leave him humbled for the rest of his life.

For sure he has a lot of enemies because he has fore warn about this impending death as per the news. And the police found a lot of threatening text message in his phone from people that want to hurt him.

Maybe he scam people out of their money in crypto or in fiat, I guess this is another lessons for those crypto influencers. You just don't know the extend of what you are doing. If you are blatantly scamming, then sooner or later karma will come in your way.

945  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto experienced bloodshed on: July 27, 2023, 01:25:22 PM
I agree. it is like natural selection who the strong and resistant will survive these trying times. True, Crypto is experiencing a bloodbath where the decline in trading volume is also a concern for investors about the liquidity of crypto assets and one more thing if we pay attention to how the role of the media works here with a series of bad news that has emerged that has shaken new investors.

For matters of bad news that can still affect prices in the market or affect the attention of some investors, it is still quite a common thing to happen, but everyone must also see the effect of good news on both aspects because good news is not only able to push prices up, but also able to encourage interest from new investors to enter the market.

I would say that it's common practice for some sector to spread negative news about crypto, we don't know what there intentions though. Maybe they are being paid by some groups to spread this, or they simply don't like crypto and wanted to destroy it at at all cost.

Because between the good news and bad news at this point I see that they are almost balanced and have an effect on each other for price and interest in everyone which can be the reason for prices surviving in difficult times, although I don't think that the current time is a difficult time because every investor can still invest according to their own capabilities at cryptocurrency asset prices which are still very affordable in my opinion.

It is is FUD, I think crypto enthusiast knows how to weight the issues and might not be affected. The thing though is that there are newbies that are simply being affected by it. So if we could only balance it by negating those not so true news then it's going to be our responsibility. Btu as we stay longer in this market, the more we learn that it's just simply FUD and the effect is just short term. And that we shouldn't panic and wait till everything settles down.
946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight (july15,2023 on: July 27, 2023, 12:52:58 PM
If Nonito wins the championship his next target is to be the undisputed Bantamweight Champion, based on the interview with Tai Lopez Donaire will go on until he becomes the next champion because this is the only thing missing in his career, to become the undisputed champion, so if he wins here he will push for a unification of the title I hope he can still do it at his age, we'll see if father time is still not diminished his power.

https://www.facebook.com/watch?v=648002447275450

Hopefully he can accomplished it if he wins here, but one of the stumbling block is that Moloney is with Top Rank and remember that he used to be the number 1 rank fighter in wBC, so it should be Donaire vs Moloney. But Moloney and his camp jump ship to WBO because maybe he doesn't want to fight Inoue that time, or Top Rank's Bob Arum refusing to work with Probellum (Donaire's previous promotional management). So we will see if Donaire camp's didn't take that personally and decline a fight with Moloney because of that reason.
947  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Searching for articles or talks of long-term (10+ years) Bitcoin hodlers on: July 27, 2023, 12:35:25 PM
I would like to read or listen to long-term Bitcoin hodlers. Can I ask you to recommend them and their content, please?

If there is something that I would recommend to you as a beginner, specially those long term holders or early adopters, here is the thread, Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion. Just remember though that they have their own "culture" inside that thread.  Wink

One classic long term holder is Elwar. Who is only the pioneer of Seasteading way back in 2017. However, he encountered a lot of problems with the government of Thailand.
948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 26, 2023, 03:25:07 AM
And I also think that Fulton might stay and last for 12 rounds. But as you guys says, Inoue is very quick and his jab is sharper than ever. Congrats to those who had Fulton by KO here, and it's the obvious choice. But I just thought that Fulton being the slick and technical fighter he is, could last the against the Monster.

Well, not after the start officially started. As we all can see, Fulton was very careful as he knew how dangerous hid opponent is, but clearly he got dominated. Every round Inoue is winning, not even a single round I can give to Fulton, it's like he was not fighting to win there, but he was fighting to survive the 12 round and survive the onslaught that the Inoue unleashes.
To be in this  higher division and completely dominate the toughest is such an impressive act. Still, I give respect to Fulton for not ducking a future HOF in boxing. He really wants this fight and now he just proved himself how strong and skilled Inoue is.
Overall in this match, Inoue is much faster, powerful, and more intelligent than Fulton.
When it comes to technicality then Inoue is really good on this one and also with power which it is really that true that Fulton got dominated on every round but the good thing to look at is that he do really facing
Inoue unlike on vs Butler which it is really a pretty boring fight and i could say that this is really that way better against Fulton despite they had thrown out some issues earlier but good thing that the fight
did push through. After being knocked out, you do really see that Fulton is really that still that having that ego. Now that he had been able to taste out on how good Inoue is, then for sure
he would really be telling to himself that he is really fighting a monster. We cant really deny even us viewers or fans on whose really that seeing his power and speed which we can
say that he could be able to step up on another division i would say.

Inoue showed to his boxing fans that he can dominate the fight even if he is the challenger here.
So don't know if Fulton's camp will ask for a re-match on this because haven't read from any boxing articles that they are looking for one.
Now, he will be looking for a bigger fight next. Either he will go up to another division or find a worthwhile opponent on this division.
He is still young so he may be looking to conquer other weight classes here. But in any case, there are 4 names that boxing analysts come up with
potential opponents for Inoue - (1) Marlon Tapales of PH, (2) Luis Nery of Mexico, (3) Leigh Wood of UK and (4) Robeisy Ramirez of Cuba.

Aiming for another belts then aiming
IBF: Marlon Tapales
WBA: Marlon Tapales

But if he would be deciding on going to another weight division.Then he would be needing to fight up these fellas;
Featherweight (126 lbs.)

WBO: Robeisy Ramirez
IBF: Luis Alberto Lopez
WBA: Leigh Wood
WBC: Rey Vargas*

This is for Featherweight (126 lbs.)

But i do have a feeling that he might be still that trying out to unify all the belts on Junior featherweight
which he might be doing that before going one step once again.

It's going to be a very different league for him if he decided to go to 126 lbs after unifying the belts and beating Marlon Tapales next. So he will be one of the best in this generation if he can climb up in 126 lbs and face lets say Ramirez who also won against a Japanese to defend his belt.

Arum already might set this up next year as if I'm not mistaken Ramirez is with Top Rank. He will be the next Manny or at least get to 5-6 belt weight class. 130 lbs might be too much for him though, as the like of let's say Oscar Valdez and Navarette might be too big for Inoue. But let's see, he is in his prime so he might think that he is really invincible and climb that ladder very quick like Pacquiao.
949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could XRP win in SEC case be a start for next bull run? on: July 26, 2023, 03:01:15 AM
After quite a while, this can be considered as some good news, and we all observed that several altcoins moved along with XRP. So, in my opinion, the market has definitely received a favorable boost. We are all aware that XRP has not been rising for a long time, but as soon as the news came, it seemed as if a new life was infused into XRP, like a rebirth. However, the bull run has not commenced yet, and we are all positively anticipating further positive movements in the market soon.

XRP won at the right time because we're about entering the bull market and XRP can be among some of the top gainers for the bull market and since they're not having the SEC sueing them, the price of their tokens can increase with others instead of staying down as it did the last time. XRP would had been worth more that $10 if the lawsuit wasn't active against them.
XRP is an old project therefore they're not like the new projects that might scam their investors. XRP would be around for a very long time therefore if you're looking for a long term investment then you can decide to invest in XRP and hold your tokens. The market received a boost because of XRP winning their lawsuit but their victory isn't enough to turn the market from bear to bull.
XRP needs to use this positive momentum to get the price to atleast $1 so in the bull market the price will be targeting $10 and that'll make investors to get 1000% increase and make a nice profits. I don't think XRP will keep increasing while the rest if the market is experiencing a correction because of Bitcoin price falling below $30,000 but the market will get support soon.
With the SEC lawsuit behind, its indeed true that XRP's price isnt shackled as it was previously. And oh boy! What a sigh of relief it is. XRP's potential to cross the $10 mark, had the lawsuit not been active, is something that we've been robbed of seeing. However, its not just about being an old project or escaping the lawsuit, XRP needs to step up its game to capture and leverage the post-lawsuit enthusiasm. You mentioned the $1 target - quite achievable indeed; the $10 target though - now that's a delicious proposition.

Do not be so quick to pop the champagne yet. The Bitcoin price dip, and the general market correction, may bring some temporary chills. But rest assured, XRP's victory has given the market a much-needed morale boost.

There is no bull run to start after Ripple Labs won their case. It was just temporary surge in price, it's the hype I guess. But after a few days, the prices of altcoin market plummeted already.

So I guess who have taken the advantage of that news could have sold their XRP to make a profit. So we need to officially wait for the next bull run in 2024 because that is where the real action is. Just imagine though if this news happens in the bull run, the price could really go up on a parabolic rise. But it's not over, we can still accumulate as much as we can and prepare for the eventual new ATH whether its XRP or other top altcoins.
950  Economy / Economics / Re: The gloomy light called subsidy. on: July 26, 2023, 02:30:59 AM
You are lucky that you have a government that subsides your petrol. But then again it's a privilege that can be taken anytime and so that's what they do? For me? I will strive hard as I know I don't have the petrol subsidy already.

Or maybe you can tighten your belt, save money or get other means of transportation so that you won't used your car like everyday. It's could have a pros/cons of the removal, but I guess your government is trying to save money as well and uses to other projects or top up other subsidies that is very important to the population.
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title on: July 26, 2023, 02:15:32 AM
Not belittling the Filipino here, but I think Tapales will have a slim chance against the monster Inoue. We have seen how he just eruption on American Fulton, the 2 belt champion as well and just didn't give him the breathing room and I don't think that Fulton win a round against Inoue and then the knockout power of Inoue will be too much for anyone.

So not sure what strategy the camp of Tapales will do against Inoue. Naoya is just reaching his prime right now and it's hard to stop a fighter like that who is very complete in my opinion.
952  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Investors Confidence in Bitcoin💪 on: July 25, 2023, 09:34:22 AM
A true Bitcoin investor, does not give up Bitcoin just because of the words of others. Because they know about the success of Bitcoin. And they know that a long-term investment in Bitcoin will never disappoint them. Because long-term investment in Bitcoin guarantees extra profits. This greatly increases the confidence level of a Bitcoin investor. And they never want to give up Bitcoin.

Of course, and that's what we love about bitcoin, it might be very hard to see the price going down in a bear market, but once the bull run arrives, we are going to be happy as we can see our portfolio growing and maybe many of us here will become millionaires in 2024-2025.

But the hard part is that how we accumulate, it is during the bear market when the price goes on a spiral. And so we need to take advantage of that kind of down turn and don't be afraid of it. Instead we should take it as a opportunity to save and accumulate more bitcoin and then wait for the next bull run to occur.
953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 25, 2023, 09:15:08 AM
...Again, hard to compare him with WB as far as triple double, but there are games that we could see some brilliance or high basketball IQ of Ball. But I doubt that he will catch WB in the record boards.

Following Westbrook's record will surely be a struggle to anyone specially if they are chasing after his triple double record as that same record looks to be unbreakable and by the way, Westbrook is still active in the sport and so he still have some chances to improve his standing and add a few couple on his stats even if it looks like that he cannot be that same triple double machine anymore. But I still believe that Westbrook can still make a difference, he just have to trust himself because his confidence was seriously hurt during his Laker days.

And also he's healthy and capable to play more games since he's not a injury prone player so provably he can retain and add up more on his stats so that this will be hard to break by other player. He might not be the same as before but for sure he still capable to do triple double especially if the coach will trust him and he will have the same role when he is on OKC. He just need his confidence back and with this he will be a triple double machine again.

I don't think he will ever achieve that triple-double consistency now that he is not the main star of the team. Westbrook was the main star in OKC, but now he is with the Clippers, where many stars are playing, so he plays based on the role given to him. For Westbrook, what matters now is winning a championship, as he has already achieved his goal as an individual player. But the biggest goal is to win a championship.

Yeah, and as Paul George, shout out to WB for taking the minimum just to stay with the Clippers at least for this year. Because if that is other players, he might look for still a good contract as WB can still play and become a star in any other team.

So obviously, by now his biggest goal is to win a championship ring with PG and Kawhi. It might be a tough road in the West, there are a lot of great teams. But who knows, maybe the 3 can make it to the finals.
954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 23, 2023, 11:02:33 AM
Fulton could just say it straight that he is afraid to get 1 loss record and will not fight Inoue but instead use his coach to accuse Inoue of being a cheat. A lame excuse and they really did it while the fight is 3 days away. This chicken had been watching too many movies starring Anton Margarito.

He had postponed the fight successfully in the past month by requesting an annoying WADA test. Now this. You really can tell whos the chicken.

When I watched the video of the coach making these statements, Fulton seemed caught off guard. The coach doesn't seem like the brightest mind and is coming up with crazy conspiracy theories to delegitimize Inoue's achievements. He also talked about Roy Jones Jr. being screwed in Korea as an example of why he didn't want the fight in Inoue's backyard. Is he aware that Japan and Korea are completely different countries? It would be like Inoue saying he doesn't want to fight in Canada because foreign fighters get screwed in the USA. Fulton is ultimately the one who is in charge and if the coach tries to obstruct the fight he should just get rid of him.

Yes, recently it was how the trainer of Inoue is wrapping his hands and Fulton coach says it's illegal. However, Inoue has fought in the US and no one has question about how they wrap his hands or something.

As if the coach of Fulton is insinuating that Inoue is cheating like Margarito when he was caught with plaster of paris that makes his fist very hard like a cement. But I doubt that Inoue's coach is doing that, you can see that Inoue has God given talents why before he become a unified champion at 118 lbs.
955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers Belief on: July 23, 2023, 10:31:21 AM
If you want to see a person full of hope and belief, then gamblers are the perfect example. The hope of winning and the belief to win is found in gambling. Even if you tell them that gambling is risky and the result may come out differently (not in his favor), they refuses to accept it and have 100% belief that they will win at any cost.

This type of belief and commitment is not found in any other walk of life. People doing business or spending money somewhere have doubt and fear that things can do against them, and they may face loss too but the gamblers are so firm in their belief that they never look at the other side of the picture. They want the win, and they 100% know in their subconsciousness that they will win. that is the reason they will never hesitate to put money into gambling.

We are not talking about the result which comes later on, once they gamble. They may lose too but the passion and belief of winning among the gamblers can't be seen anywhere else.

Not really sure what you meant here, and for me, it's a bad analogous in my opinion. Remember that gambling is a risk and it's based on pure luck. What I'm seeing here is just what we call gamblers fallacy and not a belief or commitment per se.

And so in other facets of life, like if you want to succeed then yeah, you have to commit your life to it, let's say you put up a business and want it to grow. But in gambling? it's either you are lucky that day or not. It has nothing to do with your commitment or belief.
956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 23, 2023, 10:21:45 AM
It seems to me that Durant's chase for easy rings at that time affected not only his reputation but also his legacy. I mean, he is definitely one of the most outstanding players in NBA history, but at the same time, in my opinion, he will always be a notch below players like MJ, Kobe, Dirk, etc., because of that signing with the Warriors.

Durant is one of the best shooters I've ever seen. But his ring count is below a lot of superstars. He only won championships with Warriors, if he had it with Thunder that would look different. Every player has had mistakes and bad memories in their career. It's not uncommon for Durant to go to the Warriors for the ring. Other superstars have done that, and they didn't even get the ring (Remember Karl Malone and Gary Payton in Lakers) in the end. LeBron's announcement of his new team on the TV show is also a bad memory, but when LeBron is mentioned now people don't think of that time.

Yeah, that's downside of KD's career, if he hadn't join the Warriors back then, he might have difficult time to win a ring in his career. And thanks to his bold move although unpopular opinion back back as he become one of the most hated player by the OKC, it paid off handsomely for him.

But he needs to win more though, because that stigma winning in the Warriors uniform will haunt him.

So time for him to build chemistry with Booker and Beal as Phoenix Suns.
957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 23, 2023, 07:45:38 AM
George Kambosos will be back in action,

https://www.boxingscene.com/photos-george-kambosos-maxi-hughes-set-showdown-shawnee--176323

So after losing all his belts to Haney, Kambosos is back against Maxi Hughes tonight. This is going to be a comeback fight for him so let's see if Maxi will be a good tune up fight or George doesn't have it anymore.

But I expect George to win in the later rounds by stoppage. Maxi is 3:1 underdog.

Kambosos won the fight, but I was personally unimpressed on how he fight and it seems he was gifted with this win. Even after Kambosos won, and in his interview i the ring, you can hear the boos in the background.

But he justify that there are close rounds and he could have been favored by the judges. However, as we say, a win is a win, so Kambosos got lucky and so his career continues again with Top Rank.

959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 22, 2023, 12:06:36 PM
^^ If I'm not mistaken, it should be in their contract to have blood testing under the WADA so ensure that both are clean. And for obvious reason, it will be random, and so they shouldn't complain about the one that is going to take their blood sample at any time, regardless if they are sleeping then they have to wake up. So there should be no issue. But I guess boxers doesn't want to have their blood taken, not sure what is the reason for that. Maybe it break their momentum or it's more psychological for them. And if you are clean then why you wouldn't be afraid of it? Doesn't make sense at all.

Agreed. These are all rumors to keep the fans' attention. Similar to mainstream news, these sportsnews media outlets also sometimes do not have anything to write anymore, so they begin creating rumors.

In any case, the thread should have a poll. There might only be 3 voters for Fulton including me hehehe. It is head scratching why the champion's odds is 3.70 because it will be Inoue's first time to fight in super bantamweight, Fulton is also bigger, more athletic and has an intelligent jab which could be a problem for the Japanese fighter.

My present prediciton. This might be a split decision win for Stephen Fulton.

If only this fight will be held in Las Vegas, I would go the same with your pick. Don't have anything against Japan but whenever their boxers fight in their backyard they always win via decision, seldom I could see a foreigner wins by decision. A fight of this magnitude and if ever this goes to the full twelve rounds, I have Inoue the winner.

^^ Still a juicy odds i think.

But for 12 rounds, can Fulton survive the power of Inoue? I'm not really worried about the outcome because I believe Inoue will win. The only question now is whether I'm willing to risk betting on a win by decision, considering Inoue has been so dominant. If he was able to KO Butler, who was trying to avoid exchanges with him, I think Fulton is at risk of getting KO'd if he goes toe to toe.

In any case though, as Inoue said, he said that he might not have face a boxer like Fulton before, but the same case could be said on Fulton himself. He hasn't face a monster in his career so it's all about even, although Fulton has the belt right now, but Inoue has the power to back up his trash talking.

So still as juicy as for Fulton backers here. Or if he can dance 12 rounds and last, then still a good win for Inoue to win by decision.
960  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is improving I guess? on: July 22, 2023, 11:02:24 AM
There is a lot of speculation about the future of bitcoin, many predict that if bitcoin can last for at least another 10 years it will become an international currency and of course it is very expensive, many people have succeeded and become new rich people because of bitcoin and in my opinion short-term conditions will be difficult to rise because global economic conditions are in recession.

Lol, did you know that the technically, the last bitcoin will be mined around 2140. But in a hind sight, in the next couple of halvings we might see that almost all bitcoin will be mined or at least 99% of it.

So it will grow in the future. But for the current cycle, the next bull run is supposedly, 2024-2025, so that's just months from now.
