I'm having some difficulty getting Google authenticator working. I'm on the app store on my ipad and I search for google authenticator and nothing is found.

Anybody else have a similar experience?

"When it was dead?"

Exactly.

Yes I've had a previous card. I'm using windows XP.
945  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Can't get guiminer working on: July 12, 2013, 09:20:57 PM
I thank you for that advice. However I just installed 13.1 and it still doesn't work. CGminer won't start and guiminer can't detect the card. Any further help?

I have the issue of not having opencl drivers and not being able to get those drivers to work. That won't matter right?
947  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Asicminer Block Eruptor on: July 12, 2013, 08:22:28 PM
So you use CGminer. That's important to be because guiminer doesn't work for me.

Hi there

I can't get guiminer working for love nor money. My car is of the ASUS HD7770 series. I'm running XP 32 bit. Guiminer can't find any open cl drivers The problem is that I believe I've installed them.

I try to install the latest version and the exe won't run. It says D:\AMD\SUPPORT\streamsdk_v2_8_1_0_win32\Setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, really helpful.

Any more thoughts would be appreciated.

When you say they are better than GPUs : are they also more powerful as miners?
950  Bitcoin / Mining support / Asicminer Block Eruptor on: July 12, 2013, 04:04:37 PM

I've been involved in bitcoin for years but have never been able to make mining work for me. I've always been plagued by technical difficulties. I was thinking of having a go with the Asicminer block eruptor. I was wondering if people more experienced with mining could answer a few questions. I appreciate the help

* Is £130 for a 336/mhz stick a good idea?
* Given the increasing difficulty is using these ubs sticks?
* Is the mining power of these sticks likely to be relevant for a reasonable time given the hardware coming on line?
* Are these sticks definitively better than GPU mining?
* Are these sticks easy to use to mine? Do you still use a mining pool?

Thanks

The volatility is normal. The price of petroleum was that volatile after its initial discovery. Volatility goes away due to increased market depth. That will happen with bitcoin.

Pure genius that.
953  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to invest? on: July 11, 2013, 03:05:28 PM

Its just that Favdesu's comment was really weird.

"huh? 1,8% per month is not high, at least in my books."

I'd really like to meet your broker then.

An annual interest rate of 27.25% isn't a lot to you? Do you live in Zimbabwe?
955  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to invest? on: July 11, 2013, 12:22:05 PM
I wouldn't call coinlenders returns low by any means. Really, really high actually.
956  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is alive again on: July 10, 2013, 09:53:43 PM
The volatility is natural. Its extremely new and a very shallow market. As it matures it will stabilize, especially with a deeper market.
957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: State of the Real Bitcoin Economy on: July 10, 2013, 12:15:03 PM

Bitcoin being under the radar for a while isn't a bad thing because the more the real bitcoin economy grows, the greater the countervailing force from regulators, banks and governments will be. Today bitcoin is a curiosity but when it hurts the profits of the existing establishment they will attack it and we need to be prepared for this.

I think one of the easiest things to do grow the real bitcoin economy is to use bitcoin in exchange. Even if you are a speculator you could toss a website a couple of coins or something. Growing the economy also means growing the community: preaching.

It will be for naught if we are not prepared for the inevitable government backlash though.

How do I transfer shares on btc-tc?
959  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 09, 2013, 10:23:16 AM

"On BTCT.Co To Bitfunder shares:

1).  Tender your AMC-PT shares by pushing the shares to AMCTENDER1.
Your AMC-PT will then be transfered to Bitfunder, and then the shares will be tendered
for ActiveMining shares.
2).  Then email the above information to tender@activeminingcorp.com"

Sorry to be a pain, but how do I "push" shares?
960  Economy / Securities / Re: [AMC]-The Official Active Mining Cooperative Discussion on: July 09, 2013, 09:13:10 AM
Yeah but will they be converted automatically or do I have to do something?
