With the huge taxes they imposed and the many industries and companies that the horse racing industry is supporting, I don't think it's even possible especially for third world countries like ours where the unemployment is very high, if they clamped horse racing, the unemployment will rise and revenue will decrease.
Horse racing is much better to maintain than cock fighting or any other sports where the animals involved are fighting each other to the death, the government should just impose strick regulation.
I agree that in this case strict regulation makes more sense than an outright ban, compared to cockfighting running alongside other racehorses is nowhere near as bad, the issue is the care the racehorses receive as without a doubt there has been evidence of the industry treating racehorses in ways which are inhumane, but if this can be reduced significantly through a heavy regulation then I do not see why horse racing would need to be banned. The game is very old and this is not going to stop. People have strong heart to support and bet on the game. Many football players die too they run like a horse. However the OP person seems to have a kind heart - he couldn't bear the pain. Be careful and stay away from these games. |

Actually, people are busy with their work right now and simply don't have enough time to see ODI or test cricket for the full match. so T20 is the best option right now for people that are busy in their life but still want to enjoy good cricket. T20 is also generating the most revenue in cricket and it is also a lot popular. so at this moment, there is no reason to introduce T10 and reduce the popularity of T20. I really think in the future T20 will be the best format of cricket so there is no reason of introducing any shorter format and taking away its popularity and potential.
Agreed - people have so many choices and there is so much everyone is going through that they hardly find time to encourage young players around. But having said - maybe this kind of tournament would bring forth some young gems. Hope everyone gets their right wishes fulfilled. |

There is no ODI going on and this thread has nothing to discuss about ODI. In fact we are discussing IPL a T20 format in ODI thread. Is there anyone else like me who wanna see international cricket back in action? I dont think blackout of ODI for such a long time is good for cricket fans.
It's been a long break in international cricket because everyone is busy in IPL and in IPL seasons, there are no other formats and series scheduled. Anyways, I don't think anyone (other than me) is missing ODI / Test Matches as everyone must be enjoying IPL matches. People in Pakistan have no access to watch these matches live.  That is why we can ask Indian members to keep us updated on IPL, but there are so many team and long lists of matches that it is hard to keep a track of all of them. I think there is not much hype for IPL. I am not sure if I am correct but earlier we saw many celebrates supporting IPL but haven't seen any in a while. |

I think that all of the matches today are going to be fun to watch. Firstly, there are Everton v Chelsea and Tottenham v Leicester matches starting at the same time. My favourite sides for these matches are going to be Chelsea and Tottenham of course. Everton are in the relegation area currently and five points behind Leeds that are right above this area. And Everton have two missing matches also. They must do everything they can not to relegate from the league. So Chelsea should be careful in this one. And Tottenham are still competing with Arsenal for taking the fourth spot to qualify for the CL. They lost points in their last two matches so it is time to improve their performance. They should be winning this.
Chelsea have a better team but have also proved vulnerable in certain games. Everton is basically vulnerable in almost every game. Yet it was 0-0 against Liverpool for a long time, and they lost 2-0 in the 2nd half. However, that was an away game. They will now want to show more for the home crowd, I don't think they will dig in and play offensively. That means a nice open competition presumably. Probably 40-60% winning chances good luck to all the four teams. Lets see which team wins. A part from hard work there is another very important factor of luck attached in sports. Lets see which side luck sits. Do. you believe in luck during the game? |
