I see no difference to lisk and waves if we all could dump them just when its released. Please don`t mix Waves lite wallet with web wallet and ICO site. Waves lite client will be running through browser but you will be able to run it in any OS, all by yourself with few clicks on your puter while it is connecting to full nodes.
I'm still confuse . so how do we move our waves from the ico site to the platform during the release? Directly from your ICO account with email confirmation. Site will be updated at the end of ICO. |

I don't want another LISK fiasco where only a few know what's going on. If there's a simple guide to set up locally or multiple node clusters to prevent overload it would be greatly appreciated! Gives everyone a fair chance to get to the exchanges at the same time.

Yes of course, we are checking security and setting additional servers in data center, all behind cloudflare like the main one. You will be withdrawing directly from the ICO site. We will release also first version of lite client with basic features on testnet for public testing very soon in the next days but as planned we want to release lite wallet on beta mainnet sometime after its launch and proper testing. Near the end of ICO you will be able to test first basic version of lite client(on testnet). Lite client on beta mainnet will be released some time after its launch. You will be able to use it on any platform through your browser. Platform with main features - summer 2016. It will be ongoing development, for now only 1/3 of roadmap for 2016 was revealed. There will be new POS implementation, new scalability approach, tech papers, new features will be appearing in time like voting, messaging, new reputation system on the blockchain and many more. Above 2016 a lot more years of development to come. |

Just want to ask if the waves platform will work well to a low end computer.
maybe the WAVES team would also give the information about the hardware specification of the computers where this could be installed and function without any lag.
Did this get answered? Not quite actually. I was hoping to see them assures that even a Pentium 4 computer with just about 1gb of RAM is enough. I was asking because i don't have a high end computer and may not ever try to buy a newer one later. if the platform can function well on a low end computers then i won't need to buy new desktop in trading using waves. Lite client with all main features without the need of blockchain download will be running through browser so will work mostly on any device. I don't think you understand, the more funding they have the more value they can produce. Thus the price will increase due to more funding, since they can spend more money on marketing/development.
Actually, the big money drainer will likely be compliance costs for AML/KYC. Getting licenced as a money transmitter in the States mean applying to the govs of all fifty states & shelling out millions of bucks. Well, no. I watched the AMA with Sasha, and he said these AML/KYC licences will be provided by the payment processor Waves will partner in the future which will back the tokens in FIAT, USD Tokens, Euro Tokens and so on. So these partners will likely to already have these lincens, so there is no need to adquire them. Above it there will be two companies, foundation and another one with financial license approach, but as for the payment providers integrated with platform that`s correct. |
