19.1.2015
total trades
NEMstake   5503

After UP was caught with sock puppets, his official excuse was that he was using sockpuppets so nem would look good (more activity). How do we know he wasn't trading with himself on AE for exact same reason? These numbers don't prove shit.

If one person (without coding skills) can manipulate the stats of the entire AE in such a big way then it does prove something.

Why would you need coding skills to buy and sell on AE? It only costs 1 Nxt to post and 1 Nxt to buy on AE. 2000 Nxt will get you 1000 fake trades with yourself. UP was obviously motivated enough that he created sock puppets even for BTT forum. God knows what he was doing on  AE

What I was getting at that if one person can trade an asset to the top then the utilization of the AE can't be all that great.
NXT AE is definitely the most heavily used one out there but appearantly it's still a very very niche market.

Why is it that recently NXTers come there to trash NEM ? Butthurt about the price decline ? Guess what, that's not NEMs fault.

So If someone wants to take part in the IPO they'll have to follow these https://piratepad.ca/p/skycoin to run a node/create an address and receive their coins ?
Any estimates about price or is the price following those instructions ? Smiley

Here is a nice comparison of the features between leading cryptocurrencies, nice that NEM is included too:

http://i.cubeupload.com/RGB3wV.jpg

Part of this chart is wrong or outdated !

The author acknowledged that he made a mistake and will come up with a new version.

If there is a new one please post again.

https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/help-design-a-comparative-matrix-for-presentation-and-nxt-wiki/msg152809/#msg152809

Are the construction icons indicating that features are planned or that they are actually being worked on ? Pretty sure NEM is currently not working on anonymity (is NXT ?). If it is about planned/desired features then we might as well mark instant tx as under contruction Smiley

The devs aren't pulling a flanker
Its number 1 spot they hanker
You will soon ditch your banker
Except FuckingNem cos hes a  w...............!!!!!!!!

Made my day !

Just like Hollowman338 cuz he's just a shill and that can't think straight,
Nothing but trolls their minds are sick, probably pissed about their little d****

Awww, all that lovey dovey egalitarian bullshit starting to break down, eh?  Who the fuck are you to call anyone a shill?

Show us on the doll where the bad man Hollowman touched you.  It'll be ok..

My being a rude jackass sometimes doesn't have anything todo with how egalitarian NEM is. Do you know the meaning of egality ? It doesn't mean take shit from everyone and don't talk back.
I'm just another person in this community and I can speek my mind whenever I want - and I think you're a shill.

That's nice dear.  I think you're a whiny little featherweight bitch.

And you have every right to.

Enter my cell phone number?  Fuck you, telegram.

NEM should have started a slack like supernet.

weak.
you can use fake phone number..

Strong..

I'm with the shill on that one. Fuck you telegram.
Advocating privacy and then requesting a phone number and all the privilege you can think of (at least on android) when neither is necessary is just pure hypocrisy. Not to mention that only 1:1 are encrypted. I have no idea why people are hyped about it.
I don't care that i could hide by using a fake number and limiting it's access on my phone. Why support those fools when there are better things out there ?

So technically it doesn't slow down but it does take longer to travel through something other than vacuum Wink
950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cleanup: I'll attack some coins - I owned APEXcoin for 90 blocks on: January 17, 2015, 06:54:41 PM

Has there been any actual proof of your attacks or are you just posting "successfull" messages and everyone is supposed to believe it ?
I'm with most people here. Attack a relatively active NXT clone or fork, show proof and then we can talk.

Bittrex confirmed his APEX attack.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=686403.msg10169983#msg10169983

Good to know...thanks for posting that.
Alright then...let's see how easy it is with a more active coin.

you better check it out.

Thanks for the heads up. It is 1434237137246193127.  I must have pasted it wrong. I changed the OP now to have the right asset id.

BTW, today's dividends have been paid. The dividend was 1.65%.

AutoDiv (1434237137246193127) Total issued assets: 155000, Assets to be distributed to: 197

Nobody bought 1,000 yesterday so no one was eligible to win 500 free AutoDiv. I will carry over the 500 so if anyone meets the requirements today they can win 1000 assets.

Thanks to all the early adopters!

Why is it that for the tx with which the divs where payed the block-explorer shows errors ? I mean might be a problem with the blockexplorer but other tx show fine. It makes this thing even more fishy.

Say what? What Block Explorer are you referring to?

I just checked here: https://nxtblocks.info/#section/accountId/NXT-ZNJT-TYL3-LLE9-A23YM

It shows the payments of dividends. You can click on any of them and see the details. For example: https://nxtblocks.info/#section/txid/14893594619781536843. This one shows 221 confirms now.

I used SuperNet NRS 1.48 and received no errors when sending. Thanks.

I was using http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=1 (imho still the best) but it's working there now as well. Guess it was just an issue with the blockexplorer.

Light maybe 40% faster in vacuum...

so was Einstein wrong afterall ?

No faster in vacuum vs in fibre.

I still think that's technically not correct. It may take longer for light to travel through fiber but light always travels at the same speed so the difference is prob something other than speed.
Maybe it's because it doesn't travel straight through the fibre and therefore the way is just longer ?

is there any such thing as a "crypto faucet industry" ?
955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cleanup: I'll attack some coins - I owned APEXcoin for 90 blocks on: January 17, 2015, 12:49:51 PM
lots of people complain about the quantity of coins and how the forum is flooded... some proposed ideas to clean it up....
I'll show you how it's done - I'll start attacking weak coins accelerating their death

just wait and see the results, I'll soon show the first victim. Let's start with PoS coins: some people think you need 51% of the supply but this is bs, you need only a very little % if you just want to do a single double spend.

the point of this thread is to see how people react to this: I won't steal from anyone, but some may lose "money".

Some questions:

1. is this a good idea?
2. would you donate so I can attack more POS coins? (maybe spare some coins you are bagholding)
3. would you pay to know the time of the attack and the victim in advance?
4. would you pay for "double spend as a service" (in this case you decide coin and the timing of the attack)?
5. is this legal?
6. do you think someone would pay to have me killed?

go!

update: apexcoin attack successful witih 0,07% of available supply

1. yes
2. no but I'm sure there would be rewards if you show weaknesses
3. no (and frankly, fuck you for offering that)
4. see 3
5. prob impossible to tell as with many things in the crypto-sphere
6. neeehh - prob not.

Has there been any actual proof of your attacks or are you just posting "successfull" messages and everyone is supposed to believe it ?

Again Ripple marked as not decentralized. Why is Bitshares marked as decentralized ? Aren't they using DPOS ? That about as decentralized as Ripple i.e. not every node is doing the validation.

+1, I am going to say that Ripple needs to be classified as "distributed".  It isn't like I can just download a program and become a delegate today.  That isn't really decentralization.  Bitshares is controlled and monitored distributed software.

Edit: I just noticed on the chart is has an "x" by decentralization for Bitshares.

Must have lost sight of the columns there Smiley You're right they're, both rightfully marked with an X.
959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption extended[Updates&Discussion] on: January 16, 2015, 07:12:24 AM
I'm not even a stakeholder but I can see this is a sleeping giant. There is not other crypto project ever that have been developed so methodically over an extended period with a full featured beta. I am just waiting for NEM to hit the exchanges and buy on the expected initial weak hands dump.

The Cryptoscene isn't used to things being done in the right order and postponed if necessary.

Ideal crypto workflows according to 90% of crypto people:

clone -> mine -> dump -> dead
fork -> mine -> dump -> dead
right from scratch -> release way to early -> fix bugs -> fix bugs -> get the darn thing operation at all -> ?

Most of the discussion from active nemsters is happenign on telegram now. If you want to join the group there plz pm makoto1337. Also go to forum.nemcoin.com and register.

Btt is mostly a dump of unapreciating asshats and scamers so naturally many projects are moving away from it as much as possible.
