One neg and suddenly you can never make a deal again. Even if it's for a bad reason

Well Candy, you have like six neg reps. Your reasons didn't justify anything.
942  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Re: popular bitcoin techniques on: January 07, 2015, 06:31:59 AM
Good luck. I hope you stay true to what you are doing and actually investing it. I hope it doesn't turn out as a ponzi.
943  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: HomeBTC- 3% Hourly for Investment on: January 07, 2015, 06:31:03 AM
Man. people are so gullible nowadays. 3% is basically impossible unless he was BipolarBob.

Cryptodouble is also bullshit.

I'll invest when I see five figures payed out.
946  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are Vitaly's pranks staged?? on: January 06, 2015, 11:22:53 AM
I think some may be staged, but other than that, he's legit. I mean, who runs on a soccer field like that? The only other person I know who does stuff like that is a guy named Remi Gaillard (check him out. He's hilarious).
947  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has Bitstamp actually lost roughly 19000 BTC?!? on: January 06, 2015, 10:43:07 AM
I've seen this theft. It's certainly not going to help this bitcoin price either should the hacker dump all his coins.
948  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could someone help teaching me how to short on: January 05, 2015, 09:13:44 PM
Hi guys,

I just back from a weed grower. That guy said shorting Bitcoin can bring me a great fortune and he is doing it now. I am no IT expert, could some people teach me how to open an account and how to do the shorting thing? I am willing to learn, especially when I am high and cool.

I have a few grands and could someone calculate how much I will earn if this god damn thing goes to zero? 5 times or 20 times?

Thanks,
Martin

If you are shorting, you can only make the amount you short.  It sounds like you want to do a leveraged short, which if you compound it can pay you an outrageous amount if BTC goes to 0.

If you are serious and this is something you want to do, I'd be happy to teach you all you need to know for a nice little fee.  However, I will warn you there is probably a 90% chance you'll lose all your money gambling with leverage in the currency market.

Exactly. I would recommend instead that he do oil. Shorting oil right now brings in a shitload too. Soon enough, there is going to be longs.
949  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could someone help teaching me how to short on: January 05, 2015, 09:09:11 PM
I would watch out who you talk to here. I could probably teach you a bit of stuff. Lots of members who will email you telling you that they can do it for you, but they'll just take your money.
950  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How passive is the income from running a dice site/altcoin exchange? on: January 04, 2015, 09:40:32 PM
Once your site gets popular, someone will come in and take all your Bitcoin. They'd probably find flaws ahead of time. If it gets big, it would be great to hire a security team or open up a bug bounty program.

Just my .02

When a site starts getting popular, it's to be expected that someone will look for exploits. If the site managers can't implement proper security, I'm sorry, but they deserve to lose quite a bit. What they could do, like a lot of people, is offer bounties for when people DO find exploits, prior to release/during updates. There are reasons that faucets that pay 900 satoshis/10 min dry out within a day or two

This is exactly what I just wrote . . .
951  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crashes through $300 floor on: January 04, 2015, 02:17:28 AM
Could you imagine what could have happened if major e commerce website were to start accepting bitcoin? It would dump through the floor. The price wouldn't even be at 200 let alone 100. They would instantly dump their coins in trade for fiat because they know how unstable the bitcoin price is.
952  Economy / Economics / Re: Best website to give out loans? Btcjam or ? on: January 04, 2015, 02:15:45 AM
I would personally say btcjam. It's all about who you're sending it to and how much information. If you wanted to find out more about the person you're lending to, you could use their contact information and interview them as well as look at their past funding if they owe anyone or defaulted.
953  Other / Meta / Re: Please could someone verify my application on: January 04, 2015, 02:13:46 AM
It would help some members in the community get their Wallet.dat files stolen!
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PayCon X13 POW/POS -Come Get Your Con On on: January 04, 2015, 02:12:00 AM
This is a great joke. I can attest to the shit of Gaw's paycoin. They should rename it to Paycon : D

956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] When will BTC be accepted as payment by AMAZON.COM? on: January 03, 2015, 09:40:41 PM
so they already take Paycoin, why not Bitcoin  Cheesy ? Maybe Homo Josh can help us

Technically, they don't accept paycoin. It's just a plugin used to purchase with it.

You could do the same thing with a plugin that will also accept bitcoin in the same way.
957  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin price manipulation on: January 03, 2015, 09:33:46 PM
Good luck with that. You probably tried to make calculations, but they aren't going to work at all.

Basically, it's a major flaw when it comes to 0 confirm systems.
