Enough of this discussion. Let’s not kill the fun of this contest, Roobet art contest has been part of the forum for as long as I can remember. I think we better leave it to Hhampuz and the judges to decide.
942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: im new to this bitcoin business on: March 10, 2023, 02:47:31 PM
the year is young and im ready to start investing !!! i heard this stuff is how u make millions. we're making it out of the cold streets of hull foreal!!!  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin GrinBTC
I suppose this perception of bitcoin isn’t going to change. Bitcoin isn’t a get-rich quick scheme or a hack to wealth. The volatile nature of bitcoin make it a risky investment. For now, avoid trading bitcoin or altcoins. Take your time to learn what you’re investing in and decide for yourself if and when its worth investing in. I think your attitude will change when you understand what bitcoin really is; the good, the bad, and the ugly.
943  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is money ruling the world? on: March 10, 2023, 01:02:39 PM
Money is a tool the elites use to control the masses. As long as you’re working for money, you’re being controlled by the system. I believe everyone should have a goal to retire early and get out of the rat race and really enjoy life.

So a man who is not a billionaire cannot be respected, simple as that, which is why men are treated as trash unless they have money, the world has gone so cold on men, we can't all win, someone must be more powerful than the other. Today's world has forgotten that men are still humans, not superhumans. Because of this, the world expects a lot of more from men, and if they can't keep up, they are a failure. What a cold world we live in.
That’s the way it’s always been and should remain so in my opinion. Today’s men have lost their sense of masculinity and are taught to be more sensitive; to complain;  and talk about their feelings. The ones who try to be manly are considered toxic. Throughout history it can be found that Money and status is what drives a man.

I take this is your “hello world” message. Welcome to the forum. Start by learning how to search effectively for answers to your questions before making a topic. It’s amazing how newbies skip past the pinned threads, then create a topic asking questions that have been repeated over time.
945  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I Add This To My Business Grant Application? on: March 10, 2023, 09:38:18 AM
When applying for a grant or loan, it’s best to only put information that will increase your chances of getting the grant/loan. Unless the organization offering the grant is a tech company or in the blockchain industry, it wouldn’t be a good idea to include bitcoin in your business proposal. Supposed it’s a more conservative institution, it could seem unprofessional to them. Do your research on the philanthropic organization, their previous work; find things about them that you can add in your proposal to make you look more desirable. That’s my advice.
946  Economy / Economics / Re: Replacement? on: March 10, 2023, 09:20:32 AM
I have been seeing the progress of cryptocurrency these past few years, and I've been thinking, will it definitely be a replacement for physical money and use crypto as a primary transactions in our everyday life?
I don’t think bitcoin will replace fiat anytime soon. Unless every person has bitcoin and are willing to spend it as a currency, it cannot be replace fiat. In my country, many people are stuck at home because they don’t have physical cash to pay for transportation to work. The little cash they have left is spent on food and electricity. We try to use digital banking when we can but some of the sellers are either unbanked or do not feel comfortable with bank transfers. Bitcoin has a long way to go before it can replace traditional forms of money.
947  Economy / Economics / Re: Try to save money while you still can, will you ? on: March 10, 2023, 07:52:20 AM
The layoffs this year has been crazy. The world wasn’t prepared for this, hundreds of people have been laid off in the tech industry only this first quarter of the year. They say it’s an after effect of Covid, who knows, maybe these companies are planning on replacing human workforce with AI.
Learning a skill now will be difficult without a means to support himself and family. Doesn’t your friend has savings? It’s fishy living on one source of income. There are side-hustles and investments he could try like investing in real estate, airbnbs, vending machine business. If I were in your friend’s shoes, I would start mass applying for jobs and update my resume to meet criteria of the role. The last thing you want to do after being laid off is take a break.
948  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin- Beginners fear for exploration on: March 09, 2023, 10:39:39 PM
What you’re experiencing now is called FOMO (fear of missing out). Bitcoin is a high risk investment, there are no guarantees you will be successful. Your friend told you high parts of the story and didn’t mention the lows. There is too much misinformation about bitcoin, newbies are attracted to these braggadocious characters and influencers claiming to be bitcoin experts and millionaires. At the end of the day, the newbies are sold on one Altcoin or the other.
949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when your identity is stolen -- real story || Avoid CEXs! on: March 09, 2023, 10:15:51 PM
It annoys me when gambling sites and online casinos request mandatory kyc from users. As bitcoiners we can easily point centralized exchanges as the problem but also note in the story our character used his google tracker as alibi. It shows how centralized the world today really is. You do not own your data in today’s world, it’s always in the control of a third party whom you have shared that data with. The banks, big tech and government agencies own your data and can do with it as they please. I hope people can learn from this sorry and be more concerned about data ownership and data protection.
950  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What can be achiev in this forum,as a new person on: March 09, 2023, 07:15:28 PM
Yes indeed i was introduced to this great forum by a friend and i also want to know what some one that is new will learn in this place,is copy work like some post accepted, sparming are this well come, will my acct be barn for this want to know so that let me know what am doing too,and again how can one start trading on bitcoin, how do i start please,
I’m sure your friend told you plagiarism/copy and paste without reference to the original source is prohibited here, and like most newbies you probably think it’s not that serious hence your question.  The punishment for plagiarism is permanent ban from the forum. You would want to rethink that because you will be caught, it may not be immediate but surely the forum has a way of paying you what you sow.
I think you should post question like this in your local board. There are people there who will gladly help you and direct you how to go.
951  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I succeed as newbie. on: March 09, 2023, 06:40:59 PM

When you say, you are a newbie, what exactly do you mean? Two years ago you also asked for advice on investing in Bitcoin, what happened?
Why are you still a beginner even after 2 years?

Lol... As funny as this may appear, it's still possible. It might be that the user is disguising as a newbie to attract sympathy or help or for whatever reason(s).
But in a Real sense, some users open account here and may not find here friendly and hence abandoned it and may decide to return later, hence their newbie status remains.
Again, some people can be here for more than 2yrs and even grow their account upto senior member rank, but the knowledge of bitcoin in their head is like that of a newbie. So, it would be correct if they address themselves as newbies.
That may be true, but I think OP has spent enough years on the forum not to know how to use the search engine. I checked his post history and I don’t think OP should be making this kind of thread. For someone who started trading spots in 2021, he should have a decent knowledge of bitcoin. This may be another meriting fishing thread, if he doesn’t get merits we probably won’t see OP for another five months.
952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I found my Bitcoin books from 2016 on: March 09, 2023, 05:45:20 PM
I think newbies should read this thread so they understand better why it’s important to use open sourced wallets like Electrum. I’m sorry you lost your bitcoins using non custodial wallets. I’m not familiar with free wallet, they probably shut down before I got into the crypto space. Xapo wallet is not even a real bitcoin wallet, they do not give users private keys or seed phrase. I have read bad reviews about them on the forum and online.
Like Mahirap said, there was nothing else you could have done at the time. You used the resources you had to take care of your little bro. That’s something to be proud of. You didn’t let your challenges stop you, on the bright sided it opened your eyes to learning more about bitcoin. 2018 till date is good enough time to learn and save some bitcoins. I hope you’re seeing good results.
953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Ponzi Schemes - People are confused. on: March 09, 2023, 08:22:15 AM
Scammers also use fiat as a payment option. Kidnappers and terrorist demand wire transfers to offshore accounts and in some cases physical cash. This has been the modus operandi for many years, I’m yet to hear the media condemn fiat or someone in big media say “oh if it weren’t for the banks and fiat all these crimes wouldn’t be happening.“ That would be dumb, wouldn’t it?
954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as means of exchange in happy day supermarket on: March 09, 2023, 08:04:55 AM
OP I think you were carried away by seeing others post about accepting bitcoin in their business that you decided to bring that into your place of work. Not a very bright idea if you ask me. I don’t believe your boss bought the idea, if he did there would be a banner outside that says “bitcoin accepted here” or at least some indications in the shop to tell customers that you accept bitcoin payments. I’m guessing for now is just word-of-mouth publicity. Looking at the goods you sell, I doubt there will be customers who would want to pay with bitcoins for such small amounts. l for one wouldn’t.
955  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter becoming Worlds biggest Financial Institution? on: March 08, 2023, 08:19:03 PM
I don’t understand why everyone is trying to kick Elon in the nuts over the monetizing the blue tick. I think it’s good business and worth it too, creators and influencers make a lot of money off the platform. Facebook and Instagram are planning on doing the same thing but no one is talking bad about them. Sometimes I think Elon just gets a bad rap.
956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Paul Krugman Effect on: March 08, 2023, 06:34:53 PM
This guy has been giving series of bad advice. All his predictions fail, why do people still follow him? Is it some kind of blind loyalty to old school tradition? I wonder if he has changed his tune now. Warren Buffet seems to have similar thinking to Paul Krugman, he believes bitcoin is a scam and isn’t worth investing a penny in. True, he is a self made billionaire and a renowned for investment success, but that doesn’t make him an expert on all things.
957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think there will ever be a technology that can replace Bitcoin? on: March 08, 2023, 06:24:08 PM
200 years?? Everyone I know will be long gone by then. No one can predict so far into the future, we can only speculate using analysis of what we have in the present and past. For me, I think over the next decade, there will be a shift in the world of finance, central banks will be going digital. I believe this change will drive more people towards bitcoins and privacy coins because it will be the only way to escape the rabbit hole.
958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MYSTERIOUS BINANCE WALLET on: March 08, 2023, 05:50:52 PM
It’s 2023 and people still fantasize about finding the identity of Satoshi. I think linking CZ to satoshi is far fetched and obviously a witch hunt. There are better ways to spend one’s time perhaps you should try crossword puzzles. Those can be fun. Also there’s nothing mysterious about the wallet address or its content. Binance is one of the biggest exchanges in the world today, it’s no surprise that kind of volume is being moved through Binance.
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 07, 2023, 07:34:23 PM
One thing I have noticed alot this season about this Arsenal team is how the players are more interested in winning than who start a game. Even before Jorginho came, it was obvious from someone like Tomiyasu too. I guess it's because they are charging for the title. But regardless, it's a good thing to have. Another thing I've observed about this squad is the 'goal getting' & 'never say die' mentality & that trumps all. Long may it continue.
Credit to Mikel Arteta. He has developed a winning mentality in this Arsenal team, now they approach every game with seriousness and that hunger to win and get all points. Arsenal are seriously focused on winning the league title this season and are giving everything they have for the cause. A lot of people are waiting for Arsenal to fall off the ladder, I really hope Arsenal can disappoint them.
960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 07, 2023, 07:09:50 PM
Maddison was the impressive player and had huge skill,if he was signed with the agreement.Surely he will do some practice and make his condition to play for big team.He had a capacity to play for big team.Actually when compared to the game of McTominary,Maddison game was far better with my knowledge.McTominary was the player suitable for the midfielder. But this two players will be suitable for the midfielder. The current game of McTominary was not upto my satisfaction level. So he should improve his style of game is my opinion.

That's true Maddison's performance was very well in Leicester City and he could even join a better team than Leicester, but there is still the chance to say he likes to stay in Leicester until his contract ends in 2024 otherwise and according to the news he can stay in the premier league but in another team. Currently, Teams like Manchester United and Liverpool have an interest and maybe he will join one of these teams at the end of this season.

https://www.caughtoffside.com/2023/02/22/manchester-united-plotting-double-leicester-city-swoop-in-summer-transfer-window/
I think it is about that time Maddison looks elsewhere for a new challenge, he has spent too much time at Leicester City. For all his talent, I think he deserves to be playing for a bigger and more advanced club. In the summer I’m sure more top clubs will be interested in signing him and it will be in his best interests to take advantage of opportunities that may come.
