941  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HODL is purely a mental challenge on: October 02, 2023, 12:24:44 PM
Let's be realistic and keep grammers aside it's ain't easy to hold for a very long period of years, except there's any HODLer here that will say he he is with no any financial challenges for over the years like in the past 5-10years and hasn't tampered a bit with his HODLing. The mental strength in HODLing is not in a HODLer not taking a profit from his long time HODLing buy him not completely selling it all out of fear or due to a little too up profit made. I would rather be that HODLer that can be taking a little profit from my HODLing to meet my financial challenge while I still DCA when am able to.
Yeah I think many of us are actually class in that category of holders that do such. I even praise those that were able to achieve such high level of holding,  I mean it's definitely not easy not to temper with your coins because challenges always come although it's advice that a holder needs to have a sufficient means of living so that the thought of tempering with his coins will be at a minimal but even at that I can still say this holding game is still not an easy one
Hodling is like hoping for the best but expecting the worst, and it's much easier to hodl when we keep in mind that challenges will surface and therefore we have to be flexible with our hodling as too much rigidity can make us to be dieing in the midst of plenty when we can just take a little profit to meet our needs and make life easy for us while we keep HODL to stack more in future. There are challenges that can need beyond our means of income to solve them so tampering out hodling isn't a bad idea in such situations.

Hodling can be viewed as It's like savings they are meant for emergency that are beyond our everyday expenses or income to solve, so what's important is being able to continue to o accumulate after taking a little from it to clear out challenges.
942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: October 01, 2023, 08:06:32 PM
Well so far not so good for your stake mate. Atletico Madrid is losing by one goal to nil, and with the way the match is going I believe it would be like this through out the first half.
Atletico Madrid hasn't started strongly like they usually do in the previous game they have played especially in the Madrid Derby where they were practically on fire. But hopefully during the half time team talk Diego can make some tactical improvement.
La Liga matchday is live, watching an elite club losing to mediocre sixe. Atletico Madrid losing to Cadiz in the 25th of first half after conceding a goal in the early minutes of the game. Moreover, Atletico Madrid keep full domination of the game with goals attempts been denied by Cadiz defensive pattern. It's sti early and I have confidence for Los Colchoneros to do a comeback in the second half, Diego Simeone have plans to levelled the game, all he needs is more pressure from from his players towards the visitors, because Cadiz can't keep absorbing all the pressure concentrated on them.
61 39 5. 3
The first half has just ended with a 1-2 score Cadiz leading in the first 45mins. Atletico Madrid has been possessing the game with 61 possession while Cadiz had just 39, also with Atletico having 5 shots on target and Cadiz 3 shots.
Atletico couldn't make use of their chances, a lot of poor finishing although they were able to break the Cadiz defense earning a single goal in the first half, it's most likely if they continue with the pressure is the second half they will secure more one goal or two.

Liverpool should have been able to maintain a 1-1 draw against Tottenham, but unfortunately Joel Matip intended to throw the ball but the ball went to the top right of the goal and went in in the final minute of extra time 90+6.
All Lovepool players fought in vain to maintain a draw with 8 players, and I think Liverpool won this match because they worked hard and tried to maintain a draw with only 8 players.

Joel Matip You have disappointed Liverpool fans because it happened in the final seconds of a hard-fought match.
Yeah Liverpool would have maintained the 1-1 draw with Tottenham if Jones never did pull out that dangerous tackling and then followed by Diego jota which clearly deserved the red cards. Liverpool dis fought a good fight bought they were unfortunate today against the Tottenham side that got to go home with the three points. And in my opinion it's who won  and claimed the three point that win the match and not who played the best and didn't claimed a point at the end of the 90mins.

I didn't expect that the first half would end with a score of 3-0, Brighton's back line defense was not what it used to be, it was very vulnerable and really easy for the opponent to penetrate. Aston Villa enjoyed each of their quick goals with full ambition. I never expected a game like this from Brighton but for their performance in the first half they clearly deserved it. Ollie Watkins was the hero in this match, and the third goal is difficult to say.

Second half can Brighton reverse it? At a minimum, they have to reduce their lag.
Brighton was able to reduce their deficit by scoring a goal in the 50th minute by A.Fati. But unfortunately Aston Villa were able to increase their lead again in the 65th minute, so the current score is 4-1.

I think this match was really unexpected. Because I didn't expect there to be such a clear difference in strength in this match. Aston Villa seems to be able to make attacks with very good accuracy. And Brighton's defense was terrible this time. I think it is certain that Aston Villa will get 3 points.
Amazingly Aston villa played with a high line making Brighton look as if they didn't play with their boots on in the match.
Brighton has to step up their defense in their next game to avoid such humiliating defeating from reoccurring because it's convincing enough from today's scoreline of 6:1 that Roberto De Zerbi needs to tighten  some loosing ends.
Brighton didn't do anything spectacular in this game it was like their form was stolen  by the 1:0 defeat  from Chelsea in the Caroaba Cup and Villa just decided to bury it today.

LOL. Craig Wright fired from nChain.

The world is beginning to heal.

 Wow!

full text from https://twitter.com/agerhanssen/status/1707884086776279486

Christen Ager-Hanssen

@agerhanssen
I can confirm I have departed from
@nChainGlobal
as its Group CEO with immediate effect after reporting several serious issues to the board of nChain Group including what I believe is a conspiracy to defraud nChain shareholders orchestrated by a significant shareholder. I also had concerns about the ultimate beneficiary shareholder and the real people behind DW Discovery fund registered in Cayman. The chairman also took instructions from shadow directors which I didn’t accept

I have also reported that I have found compelling evidence that Dr Craig Wright has manipulated documents with the aim to deceive the court he is Satoshi. I’m today myself convinced that Dr Craig Wright is NOT Satoshi and I’m persuaded he will lose all his legal battles.

The board didn’t take action and my job becomes clearly untenable. One of the things I recommended the Chairman of the board was to sack Dr Craig Wright.

I feel sorry for all the great people that work in the company but I don’t want to be part of something I clearly don’t believe in. #faketoshi

So, has Craig Wright actually been sacked? Because the above is just a post by someone who stepped down as Group CEO of nChain, and has recommended that Craig Wright should be sacked.

But has he?

I hope so.
You don't expect that he Craig Wright should be sacked just like that without evidence shown to back the claim for manipulation. Even if the board will take action they'll have to kick start based on provided evidence and not just accusations.

Am no fan of Craig W. but if am to neutral be this is just like a press statement of someone making known to the public about his resignation from his position.
949  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Let fear to lose be motivation to learn on: September 29, 2023, 10:09:37 PM
Since I know cryptocurrency my biggest fear is to lost all my capital or large amounts in trading or investment, because of the fear in me I don't do things that I'm not sure of or things I don't know. My fear to lose have always been a motivation or a reason for me to know things concerning cryptocurrency,  I fear to start trading when I'm of myself that I know nothing to trade , fear to start investment when I know that I don't have a source of income.

My fear have been a motivation to learn,  even If I start trading I may lose but not to lose everything because of the understanding I have. My fear to lose have always made me to take the right decisions and not to make money money my first ultimate in trading and investment but understanding as my first priority.
Conquering our fears as newbie traders depends on how much risk we are willing to expose ourselves in based on how much capital we have available. You can be having a $100 capital and be taking a risk that someone with $1000 should take in his trades.

If your  using $20 per risk you taking in eqch trade with $100 you've just 5 times of learning from it while,

With $1000 you have multiple times of 5 to learn on that fear taking the risk involved. So it therefore mean that capital has  a lot to do with  how much risk we can take as traders while trying to conquer our fears.

Quote
I know some of my mates who are into  cryptocurrency that phobia to lose but even with the fear to lose they still go ahead to trade. If beginners allows their fear to motivate them to learn first their won't be drastic lose in trading.

Even the experience trader with years of trading makes losses with or without fear losses will be there for traders, what's important is not to incur losses beyond our paycheque as that will be tragic.
950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How important is the witness data? on: September 29, 2023, 09:12:14 PM
In SEGWIT transactions the witness data is excluded which makes the transaction occupy a smaller block space however in the legacy address the witness and script data are included increasing block space and transaction fees.my point here is how important is the witness data ? Is it less important that excluding it using SEGWIT will have insignificant effect on the transactions?
Simply put' the witness data is important for the purpose of the security of the transaction made.

However people uses SegWit because;

- It's important in reducing block size.

- And the importance of the segregation also is for efficient use of the block space . And,

- Faster  transaction and cost effective.

I think a draw from Barcelona is worth a win. Sevilla has been getting very bad results in the last matches and the average age is also quite high. When these factors come together, I do not expect them to have a fully productive season. Of course, they may get bad results this season, but they may also get surprising results. I think there is a small chance they can surprise the Barça match, but the more likely part is of course a Barça win.
Sevilla has started to play better in recent matches, and they are gradually rising in the standings. Average age is probably not the best comparison, since Barcelona has Yamal who is only 16 years old, this will affect the statistics, but I don’t really like such comparisons. Today it is important for Barcelona to win in order to get ahead of Girona and regain first place, and for Sevilla I think that even a draw will be good result, but their history of confrontations, especially at the Estalio Olimpico, is not in Seville’s favor. Barca still have more possession of the ball, but this does not give it a big advantage in game.

So far first half ended 0-0 and the biggest question of this first half how we didnt see any goals in the first half. There were so many big chances and just a lot of misses . The game is goalless but still a big number of chances were created and its wierd that we didnt see any goals from both teams.
It's been a splendid game of football in the first half so far with result most of us didn't a no goal from both sides in the first half. I think Barca needs to make more quick passes though they are doing create in creating chances buy are unable to convert to a goal finishing. Typically I have expected Sevilla to be a hard nut to crack for Barca tonight seeing how good their defense is but not withstanding Barca is going to win with at least a 1 goal. I am not seeing a draw in this match.
952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: September 29, 2023, 01:49:03 PM
While watching TV with my kid, I've watched various advertisements of gambling nature (let's say for example, Rummy123, RummyCircle, A23 Rummy, etc.)
These are all specifically Indian ads, but I'm sure you may have seen various gambling advertisements, some banners at boundaries when cricket is ongoing, even in any other sport. How would a kid ignore those things, they might just come and ask you about what is it. Till when can we lie to them? Don't you think that the frequency of such ads must be less in order to let the kids not get trapped into gambling and don't do it at such a small age?

Gambling advertising might be affected by the changing rules over time. And now they are illegal to be broadcasted in many countries.
Not sure about the case of India but gambling ads on TVs are restricted in the part of world I live. It might be in order to prevent children from getting curious over the ads. But again that doesn't stop for them from advertising. They do so using the shadow advertisement where they use a same named or similarly named product or service that is not related to gambling but most people would obviously relate the ads to the gambling platform.
The real life casinos here also organize live performance shows that are broadcasted over TV.
Several of these gambling companies have bought their way through some of these broadcasting regulatory body that are saddled with the responsibility to clampdown on gambling companies that dares break the gambling advertising rules of operation in the country. And that's why we have societies where gambling adverts are easy to be found on TV shows.

As parents in this case we have to play our role in a technical way by being  obvious and truthful about those adverts to our children explaining to them about the negative consequences and why they are not of age to go near it or think about it. Trying to hide the truth from them can make them talk about it to the wrong people that may either introduce them to it directly.
953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navigating the World of Online Gambling on: September 29, 2023, 12:06:01 PM
Check the Casino's Reputation, Before you jump into any online casino, take some time to research its reputation. Find out if others have used this casino and whether they've been able to successfully withdraw their winnings. A trusted casino should have a track record of fair payouts.
Reputation and trust is an expensive currency within the internet gambling space that every gambling company that have earned it does at all cost guide it with jealousy and alacrity avoiding taking actions that could hamper or put their repute to question, that's why it's important that gamblers make use of casinos that have earned years of good reputation in the gambling industry as it will be that you're 100% sure that you wouldn't be scammed of your large sum of deposit either with kyc excuses or other common means through which non repute scammers casinos use in denying gamblers of their money in account.

If for any reason for curiosity sake a gambler wish to try a new published online casino with little or no repute or reviews to their name, make sure to deposit a little amount of funds you can walk away from if you in the course of time get scammed. As gamblers we love trying out new casinos for new experiences but while doing so we should do it with wisdom.
954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino is a Games of Chance and Entertainment on: September 29, 2023, 11:29:14 AM
The outcome of the majority of casino games is mostly controlled by luck rather than ability. Examples that are often used include craps, roulette, and slot machines. Players wager on numerous outcomes in these games, and the casino has an inherent advantage that ensures they will profit in the long term.
If we are talking about sports betting we can say ability in the form of useful information about the teams you're to bet on has a much influence on the outcome of your bet. But for the casino games you mention it's outcome are most predominantly dependent on luck with skill playing no role at all.

Quote
Casino gaming is a popular source of entertainment. Instead of looking at it as a means of making money, players should approach it with the intention of having fun.
Entertainment could mean differently for some people. For some it could mean when they are having a winning outcome from the games as they participate while for others whether they have a winning or not they still derive fun and  feel entertained. AFAIK, players approach towards gambling has much to do with their financial/social status in the society.

957  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you could..... What will it be? on: September 28, 2023, 07:45:08 PM
A lot of crazy experiences has taken place in the crypto space knocking people down financially and it is plausible that nasty things can still occur in the future. But...

What if you could delete an occurrence from happening in the cryoto-world, both past and current events making it that they don't happen or didn't happened. What would it be?

As  for me it is the FTX crash saga which led to many persons losing their funds that could have yield some profits by now. It was one of the saddest period for many in the crypto world.

How about you, what would it be?

I personally actually hope that the tragedy of Terra Luna's fall never happens. Because that is where many people who invested in Luna Coins experienced big losses. Not only me but my friends were also affected at that time. I may not have suffered much loss but I still don't like what happened at that time. I feel sorry for the people who lost a lot in that disaster. I think there are many people here who have suffered losses from this incident. Although in reality after that everyone started to learn a lot about how unsafe altcoins are even those in the top 10. And the FTX incident was the same. From there, many people have learned the importance of storing assets in personal crypto wallets and never storing assets on centralized exchanges. The point is, there is a lot of wisdom to be gained behind all of that.
A whole lot was learnt from that Luna loss to a great extend though, but still there are people that don't still learn. If a new project just like Luna is flagged off  today we will still have multitude crowd diving deep with their investment into it and that's why we will keep on having these losses happening now and then.
958  Economy / Economics / Re: You can't meet all your needs/desires at once, even if you spend all your salary on: September 28, 2023, 07:13:53 PM

Like you rightly said, human wants are insatiable the higher your income the higher your financial burden. But with the right knowledge of financial management and growth, one can avoid running into bankruptcy and lack. The one thing to have wants and another thing to put unnecessary wants under subjection.
The problem is that we will always admire more things even when we have enough in our reserves. This is one of the reasons why the rich are always wanting more not minding if others considered them as over sufficiently wealthy. Everyone wants to make more money even when they have enough to spend and eat. The problem comes as a result of the rich don't want to come down and they are ready to do anything to have more money. Money is the root of all evil even at that, money still answers all things that is why people can do anything for money.
@bushdark you got it all wrong, money isn't the root of all or any kind of evil it's actually the love (obsession) for money that is evil and not money itself.

It is natural that humans don't get satisfied with how much of whatever they may have and for those that haven't gotten the privilege to have a bit of how much wealth you might have gathered they may be professing how they will be contented never to wants extra more if they could only but get a little part of your wealth but when they eventually do  they don't get satisfied. The truth is no amount of wealth is ever enough we keep striving for more.
959  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: September 28, 2023, 10:10:27 AM
The past few years after COVID-19 have been the absolute worst; everything keeps rising—petrol, daily groceries, electricity, housing—to the point where you're barely making ends meet. Just to imagine, I've been looking for an apartment for over 6 months and haven't found anything yet. Not only is there a very limited supply, but those available are either too expensive, poor, too small, or everything combined. Thus, this is creating a huge feeling of uncertainty, as time is running out and I need to get settled down. Renting outside of town in the nearby villages isn't ideal either, because petrol is way too expensive.
Tje cost of renting is so outrageously high nowadays that having to live in a comfortable apartment you would have to be paying through your nose and that means just one source of income won't be enough with several other demands and responsibilities hanging on ones shoulder.

Now is no more a time to try to like comfortable but to rather live within our level of income so we don't have to fall on loans to be servicing such high living standard. Op since the expensive ones are beyond your wage you just have to settle on small available apartments, you can plan your life from there to be able to afford the expensive apartments in the future. Life is all about planning well.

Quote
Maybe I'm stressing out too much because I'm yet to find proper housing to establish myself again after being away for over a year in the military. I'm generally an anxious person myself, but does anyone else feel the same, and how do you deal with it? How do you stay optimistic?
Before I say further I'll agree with you that yes, you're stressing yourself way too much. You can't solve all your problems all at ones, so take one step at a time. Be anxious for nothing for as long as we're still living then there's hope and this hope lies in proper planning. That's how to stay optimistic in this current economic conditions.
960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: September 28, 2023, 08:04:01 AM
In my opinion making cash from gambling is not a good option and the statistical probability that you will win every game at every casino is very low. I think winning or losing every game is completely in your head, so your individual tricks are not there. However, we all have some kind of luck so we should strive for what is possible for us.
The plan and abstraction of making money through gambling as gambler  is an unrealistic affair.  If you wanna make rich through gambling it can only be actualized by owning a casino company or having shares in the company that's what guarantees money making through gambling and not by being a gambler. Theirs no mass of luck you will have for winnings that can make you a wealthy gambler as the odds for you losing back to the casino whatever amount you might have won out of luck is 99% higher than having more wins. Gambling is mostly about luck which is the reason we shouldn't hang our hopes for a wealthy life on something related to luck. Just have fun and be entertained.
