941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there anyone know how many bitcoins disappear forever? on: August 04, 2023, 08:53:06 PM
Or another question!

Is there a place to collect the lost bitcoins (I mean the private keys is lost, and the bitcoin in that special address stay there forever) Cheesy

However it is interesting for all bitcoiners.

I have 10 lost ,I lost them in 2011.the price in that year is less than $1😄

And you?
According to my understanding, if you lost your private key, your bitcoin is gone forever this because no one can be able to spend the bitcoin in the wallet unless if someone has access to the private key.

Hard luck for your bitcoin lost.

Two candidates visited my office two days ago to submit their applications for the position of a health assistant. I had the honor of taking part in the interviews with them. After the interview, the candidate did very well, but the CMD chose to hire the male candidate because of his physical strength and height as the best contender for the position. He didn't even give the female applicant a chance to demonstrate her qualifications. What do you think about this?
You have already stated that both of them performed well in the interview, but the male applicant was granted the opportunity due to his physical strength, which I am sure is part of the physical criterion in addition to qualification.

If the female candidate possesses such abilities, she should have been given the opportunity, based on the circumstances. I don't believe there was any unfairness in this case because you confirmed that the male candidate possessed some qualities that the female applicant lacked.

We have many roles that should be held by men but are being run or controlled by women owing to whatever influence they have in that position, not because men cannot do the job.

Share your experiences and insights in here Whether you've fully embraced BTC as your safe havens or still enjoy the thrill of moonshot investments, let's discuss how our crypto journeys have shaped our perspectives and strategies.

I have no too much experience about Bitcoin yet, all I am doing now is to monitor the market, study well in this forum and some recommended articles and books in order to avoid costly mistakes when I am ready or have money to start my Bitcoin journey.

I feel that I am lucky to have this forum as a place to be getting my information and guide about Bitcoin.
944  Other / Off-topic / Re: Some of my Favourite Personal Texts of Bitcointalk Members on: August 04, 2023, 10:43:32 AM
This is a great way for forum users to express themselves, and I wish I could add my own personal text if I wanted to. Others have already included their desired words as personal text, which is great.

Where precisely can I place my own personal text, if I so choose?
Or do I have to reach a certain rank to be given that chance?
945  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are exchanges evading proof of reserves unsafe for users? on: August 03, 2023, 10:04:58 PM
This issue started since the exit of FTX and now we are talking about this again, Binance showed their financial capability and I think that can be a good relief to Binance users and other exchanges also did this. Well, the question is, is this enough to be called a safe exchange? Honestly anything can happen in an instant just look at FTX as an example, it is a top exchange before but look at what happened. If you don’t want to be on trouble and don’t want think about this from time to time, better not to hold big funds on any exchanges.
Since FTX's demise, I've heard some unfavorable things about cryptocurrencies, which prompted me to do some research on them generally because people were portraying them as scams as a result of the market crash. After doing some research, I learned that there are centralized coins and some (few) decentralized coins, but I think Bitcoin is special because it was the first to make people aware of what cryptocurrencies were all about.

Since nobody is excellent and everyone makes mistakes at first, I have stopped trusting exchanges because I believe that any centralized project or exchange could betray its users and lead to the project's demise.
946  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are crypto currency exchanges doing to foster crypto adoption? on: August 03, 2023, 09:20:49 PM

We can argue that the crypto industry is still relatively new, but what roles are exchanges playing or what are they doing to foster its adoption amidst these various challenges?
Since most individuals learn about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies from different crypto exchanges, crypto exchanges are crucial to the adoption of cryptocurrencies.

But it's crucial to understand that exchanges are only for buying cryptocurrency; we use crypto wallets to store our bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies after purchasing them from exchanges. Some people continue to leave their coins in the exchange wallet, which is incorrect because they will control your money instead of you if you transmit them to your wallet.
947  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation overpowers the value of money on: August 03, 2023, 08:58:43 PM

The causes of high inflation can be attributed to the following:
1. Excessive Government borrowing
2. Unwanted and unstable domestic policy
3. Unsatisfiable or lack of domestic production

These variables do contribute to an increase in inflation in a country, starting with their currency depreciating against the currency of the nation from which they borrow money or from which they buy products since they must convert it before buying the items they want.

If the government begins to borrow money from other nations, it is a sign that they are losing their moral authority because they are unable to generate enough income to meet their needs. Furthermore, taking on too much debt renders a nation economically helpless because its leaders will be preoccupied with finding ways to repay their debt rather than developing productive ideas, which will ultimately lead to the collapse of the nation and make life difficult for its people.
948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 02, 2023, 08:56:00 PM
According to some media here, Vlahovic Lukaku can be a deal done before the end of this week.

Lukaku + 35/40m for Vlahovic.
Due to his lack of desire in playing for Inter Milan or Chelsea, Lukaku did not completely respond to all transfer rumors. Despite the lack of attackers in the league, few teams were interested in signing him.

As the campaign to sign Osimhen is not progressing as well as Mbappe, it will be a nice deal for Chelsea.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: August 02, 2023, 08:46:54 PM

Especially when you consider their two main center backs worth just 2 million dollars combined, you realize that they do not have any defense at all. This can't be good for them, the results will still be not that great if they keep this up.
Al-Nasar management knows what they are doing, that's why they signed those defenders. Sometimes, some players are getting hyped probably because of the team they are coming from, while some because of their performance. Most of these players they bought with huge money are from European teams, that is why they are expensive. These defenders might be good, but their performance should matter more.
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: August 01, 2023, 08:58:08 PM
After Saint-Maximin transfer from Newcastle to Al-Ahli, Fabinho moved to Ettihad club from Liverpool for €46.7m and Sadio Mane joined Al-Nassr coming from Bayern Munich for €30m. Not a big loss for Bayern and a new start for Mane, who will join Cristiano Ronaldo in the attack line!
Saudi league are getting more and more interesting these days Wink
That is how money has an impact.
I've heard that Al-Hilal is putting together a bid for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen; if it succeeds, we may infer that footballers traveling to Saudi Arabia do so in order to make money, as even young, promising players with the ability to dominate the game do so.
951  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I avoid and identify scams? on: August 01, 2023, 08:34:11 PM
First, it's important to educate yourself on the basics of cryptocurrency and the potential risks involved. Second, be wary of any opportunities that promise unrealistic returns or ask you to invest without providing information about the investment. Third, always use trusted platforms and exchanges when dealing with cryptocurrency. And finally, never share your private keys or wallet information with anyone, no matter how trustworthy they seem. By taking these steps, you can help protect yourself from scams and keep your cryptocurrency safe.
You're right, buddy, but is there a reliable exchange or platform? Before beginning to invest in cryptocurrencies, I believe the best course of action is to conduct thorough study on everything related to them.

Trust only Bitcoin.
952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you use Bitcoin to pay everything online? on: August 01, 2023, 08:56:27 AM

So I want to know in such situation, what will you do? I am asking this question because bitcoin is a digital currency for exchange of goods and services. I know that there are some services you pay ahead but what of the ones you are buying instant? You just came to the place and you want to buy from the hawker and zoom off, and you are to pay with bitcoin because there is no physical cash in your wallet/pocket/hands. And because of the delay in payment I was thinking that not everything we see can be purchased with bitcoin, is it true?
It is not suggested to use Bitcoin if you need to make a very tiny quick payment since you risk incurring fees that are greater than the cost of the item you are purchasing.

953  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Now let’s talk about CEX or DEX on: August 01, 2023, 08:41:31 AM
Which platform do we think is more reputable and have good track record of security? Does either of them have good liquidity?
CEX are mostly use for trading that is why they might have more liquidity than DEX, aside from that they have no advantage over DEX.

CEX is very poor in terms of security due to their selfishness, they wanted to be in control of all their users' funds which makes it easier for them to go with the funds anytime they want.

DEX gives a chance to control your wealth as you wish.

Always avoid CEX.
954  Economy / Exchanges / Re: All cryptocurrency are security asset except bitcoin - SEC on: August 01, 2023, 08:12:19 AM
Why will bitcoin be labelled unsafe and other cryptocurrencies termed as security assets? In reality, we know that bitcoin is the security cryptocurrency, whilst others are not. This simply shows how hard the government is working to make the use of bitcoin difficult for users in that country.
Delisting all other cryptocurrencies except bitcoin would also have meant the end of cryptocurrency in the United States if other crypto sectors followed suit.
All of them are self-centered and opposed to Bitcoin because they want their people to support centralization.
We can all agree that this claim is false because there is no way to connect Bitcoin or exert control over it, thus all they want is centralization.

Despite these, Bitcoin will continue to be our primary priority because it is the only cryptocurrency that offers security.
955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Procrastination, Buy Bitcoin And Prepare For The Next Halving. on: July 31, 2023, 05:53:18 PM
“Bitcoin could jump up to $100K with the next halving.” We can all die tomorrow, doesn't mean we die. A thousand theories will be lost by one concrete action. We can only reverse the wall clock but we can not reverse time, so it's never too late. But we still have to take wise action, don't because we don't want to be late, we instead use borrowed money.

Sometimes most people like to delay when they're tight and then panic to buy it, if it's tight then act. It shouldn't be like that, because any investment, let alone bitcoin investment, is very important for us not to procrastinate. if indeed you can set aside money to invest it will be better, so that your financial condition will be safe in the future.
How dangerous it is to invest in Bitcoin with borrowed funds when we know it is trustworthy.

Should I borrow money to invest in Bitcoin as I trust it more than all other coins? Remember that the loan I will take out will have to be repaid after a year, in light of the upcoming Bitcoin halving.
956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 29, 2023, 06:56:06 PM

Mining the Bitcoin was never the hard part. The hard part was always not selling it for massive gains because you don’t care about the money and then watching it become more money than you need. The type of person who wants to go back in time to make easy money is the type of person who would still cash most of it in early to spend before it turns into something life changing. It isn’t opportunity people lack, it’s greed that puts a ceiling on how high they can go.

I believe that setting up the mining equipment, which is highly expensive, is another challenge in mining bitcoins. If that money had been invested in bitcoin back when it was first created, it would have changed the investors lives for good by now.

Just as you stated, greed is the primary obstacle to all of this, as the majority of people had the chance to buy early and could have reached another milestone today, and if they continue to hold, I believe it will lead to a significant profit in the future.
957  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Terrorism in Africa on: July 28, 2023, 09:22:33 AM

Terrorism is a separate sector that can never be fully understood. The least you can expect from it is to be surprised when the unexpected occurs in them. Terrorism is just used to cover up crimes, corruption, and plunder of public monies. Terrorism can be controlled and stopped, but those who have the ability to do so are often culpable for it, and the few who are not involved and have the ability to stop it are being threatened with their lives and the lives of their families as a result. This is not the time to assign blame because it is impossible to determine who is to blame for terrorism.
The only people who can put an end to this terrorism are the African leaders since, as Ndabagi01 stated, they are the root of the problem.
They primarily commit acts of terrorism in order to obtain items unlawfully and also as a result of corruption.
958  Other / Archival / Re: FedNow - Instant payment service developed by the Federal Reserve on: July 28, 2023, 09:04:45 AM

I think this is something that are worthy of a discussion and I want to know if you see this as a threat or real competition to Bitcoin and other Crypto currencies?

Bitcoin system is entirely different from this one.

If I understand correctly, this is just a payment service while Bitcoin is not a payment service.

People are investing in Bitcoin, while they can only use this one if they want instant payment, which means it will only be a threat to other payment services and not Bitcoin.
959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 will determined bitcoin fate on: July 28, 2023, 08:52:56 AM
Predicting the future fate of Bitcoin is difficult and speculative. Even though Bitcoin has experienced significant price increases in the past, there is no guarantee that the trend will continue in the future. Therefore, it is important not to rely too much on overly optimistic expectations or to make investment plans based on uncertain predictions. It is best to have a well-thought-out strategy and invest wisely according to your goals and personal financial circumstances.
This forum has been of help to my Bitcoin knowledge and understanding, but it sounds strange with your words that Bitcoin has no guarantee of the trend going as expected even though it has come this long with the same trend.

My believe is that Bitcoin is facing some downtrend but will recover soon; I don't know about the halving people are talking about so I can't join others to predict the price, but the future of Bitcoin is bright and straightforward.
960  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: July 26, 2023, 02:16:42 PM
Moving abroad to a strange land is not something that easy and not everyone that made it abroad end up having the kind of life he imagined in mind to what could be referred to as a greener pasture. For some it even gets worsen when they finally travelled abroad as they may not have a good paid job or have to work themselves 4x more just to make a good pay for the week and end up having bills taking up 50% of it. If I could afford the necessary amount of money that can take me to go live abroad I'll prefer using that money to think of a good business investment to direct that money into cause in my country currency such amount to use in traveling will be running into millions. In this present day economic crisis no country has it better and cool anyway.

Don't overthinking yourself for you already have a good financial tool at hand "bitcoin", which is the new digital gold now. Plan on how to accumulatively invest in it periodically before your retirement time by then you must have made good ROI profit that you can use to establish yourself in some other lucrative business. Traveling abroad doesn't guarantee a save haven for all that does. @op think about it.
It's crucial to understand that you are going to a new environment, one that will take some getting used to. For this reason, it's best to always think carefully and make sure you have something concrete to do there before considering moving.

Because there are problems everywhere, it is best to discover a solution on your own rather than leaving the county in search of another, greener pasture. However, some people do get lucky and make it through that process, while others regret the decision if not adequately planned for.
