942  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Scam alert,,,,, Confirm before doing anything. on: December 16, 2023, 10:02:18 PM

943  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Whenn last did you visit the bank? on: December 16, 2023, 09:50:04 PM
I have just went to the bank recently when I wanted to update my DOB on my BVN, before then, I can’t remember the last time I went inside the bank for complaint, deposit or any form of issue with my money in the bank.

Banks are fading away and they don’t get more patronage through the ATM card withdrawals like before when technology came in and made things easier for all. The use of POS machines for withdrawals are also a matter of time, they will also fade away when cashless policy comes into full effect but I don’t think it will happen anytime soon.

Rich Nigerians are the type that like to show off cash at any given opportunity to do so, big wedding and ceremonies are celebrated to show off wealth which include spraying of money. If many people become digitalised and no longer need paper money at hand for transactions, the ones that will want to show off won’t make that a reality which they are the elites that control the use of the money itself.

No be small thing oo, small small na so banks take dey loss customers to pos and mobile Fintech banks, and just as you talk the next thing wey er fit see na be say people go come dey more in interested in transfer than to use normal ATM or go bank, e don Tay well well since I go bank, the only thing wey dey make me go bank na one hen I wan withdraw very large amount of moni, but even got that one sef I dey consider am say e too risky, because Dem been don thief moni from my oboy when em go bank, so majority of my money movement na either transfer or ATM card.
944  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Why most Nigerian struggle financially in January on: December 16, 2023, 09:36:19 PM
Op na true say for January many home dey tend to go broke because of the festive period but that one no mean say make Dem bo celebrate, after all from where I come from most time na that period children take dey get the best cloths for their life, na that time parent go o like to wan do everything just to make their children dey very happy.

This is wrong. Why are many Nigerians buying used cloths? To wear better quality but at cheap price. This is enough to let you know what I will talk about traveling and expensive living which are meant for the rich people. There are also rich people in Nigeria.

Some people may not be good at management but you do not have to generalize it to all Nigerians. It is normal for people that are rich to use and go for something expensive, but some people are not like that and they cut their clothes according to their sizes.

But to be sincere with you, I do not see this your post useful or valid. I hope you will come with a better topic next time. Do not see this insulting.

Boss Charles, I no support you for this one wey you talk so, because all of us know how this thing don dey play right from when we dey small, if to say our parents no but us Christmas cloths when we dey small, na cry we for take design the entire Christmas and new year celebration, so make we nor dey act novice to these things as if we nor been do am. Papa go buy rice, buy chicken , cloths tell me why e nor go broke, ones in a full year to make em pikin feel special, abeg e nor easy, some person sef na that time be the only time wey Dem dey reach village inside one full year.
945  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Preparedness is better than prediction on: December 16, 2023, 09:21:32 PM
Op prediction na one of the thing wey make you be investor, your ability to sabi the market come dey make predictions wey dey very close to wattin go happen go really help you go far this Bitcoin or crypto market. And this same prediction naim you go use take make better preparation, however the bad part na when person dey make predictions and e  come dey procrastinate without preparing, to prepare dey Wait naim be the best thing wey investors fit do before we enter any season be it bear or bull run. So in support of the op preparedness is the best, because the prediction fit go fail you any time but when you prepare they wait naim good pass, even if things turn upside down for that time so, other times no go fail you.
946  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is online bank good? on: December 16, 2023, 09:09:14 PM
Op me I stand for online banks oo, because na wattin I dey use especially for this period wey network dey disturb small small, na them be the only alternative to save u from being stranded, though Dem fit get hacked easily if the hacker hold your sim card but this one sef still apply for normal traditional banks. All of them fit get hacked so e come dey even be like say na online bank sef naim good pass, according to the point wey baba brianboss out for ground, the only thing na be say, e nor dey advisable to put enough moni for inside, like millions of naira, you fit put less than a million if you ready to spend am immediately, but if you wan spend am immediately naim you fit put the amount of million provided say your account go fit carry am without any shaking.
947  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: One of the way most Nigerian are being scammed on: December 16, 2023, 08:56:59 PM
Normally this kind update Dem don full this forum, I been don even drop thread wey get same information, but anyway there is always I need for reminder for topics like this, person wey go fall for those kind of scam na greed cause am, because how you go put money come dey expect your fellow human being wey na still work e dey work to just double your moni like that, who does that. Even if na 50% just know say na better scam project be that, I don see my neighbor live wey been put moni for one agricultural investment something like this , the first on work well for am, em still do again Dem pay am, but the last one wey e come top em game naim Dem carry em money run till today.
948  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: [SCAM PREVENTION]Setting a Sim Card Password May Save from Theft of your Funds on: December 16, 2023, 08:45:10 PM
Op thank you for bringing this security measure come we local board, be because this period e come be like say the scam rate com increase well well, and Dem fit even still your phone, though stealing of phone don dey scarce small small because plenty of those bad boys don enter into cyber scam, but if at all this na the best way yet to take protect our sim card from the hand of scammer, I been don see one person wey dey thief moni from people account through this sim card something so,  and as I dey like this I dey fear make my phone no go loss make person come wipe my account, but thanks to this thread at least e don refresh my mind to then days wey men been dey use button phones.  Grin Cheesy
949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10k investment on: December 16, 2023, 08:32:33 PM

Currently the above listed altcoin by the op, some of their paring is about to be removed from the worlds most popular exchange which is  binance exchange, though their intentions aren't worth the change they are about to do, but it seems it might also have some effect on the coins. So instead of investing on XRP and ADA why not channel the money to Bitcoin investment, after all Bitcoin is the most trusted coin the market and can give you up to 100x when we get to the bull run, it's never too late to start accumulating Bitcoin. By the way I would also advise that we should be cautious when using the binance exchange, cause it seems they are been pressured too much by the SEC
950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: next bitcoin? on: December 16, 2023, 08:15:17 PM
For now there's no next bitcoin base on i understand about the crypto market,

No there is no next Bitcoin even in time to come, even the best altcoin cannot be considered as the second Bitcoin, nor will it be considered the second best, reason being that it is a follower of Bitcoin price movement, so it cannot do more than itself. Bitcoin will continue to give altcoins a very massive space that you can't even think of comparing any altcoin to Bitcoin, even in time past Bitcoin has proven that it is worthy of any kind of holding but, it is more profitable for long term holders.
951  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Hope I haven't miss alot on: December 16, 2023, 05:11:58 PM
Op you are welcome back to the forum, omor you sef nor try oo, since on the 25 of this month 2022 wey you create your account, na now be the first time wey you dey post, if to say I get this forum update by that time I for don turn Sr member going to hero, shaiii, see opportunity wey people dey carry play, however you don miss so many things, despite the knowledge wey you get now about Bitcoin, if to say you dey all this while you for don get more from discussion and post wey dey here, and anything wey you no understand you for ask and other go still put you through,  by now you supposed to don join signature campaign if to say you been dey active with quality post.
952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is effecting Market? on: December 16, 2023, 03:56:46 PM
Bitcoin is know to be the king of all cryptocurrency so what ever happens to Bitcoin will surly shake the entire crypto network, we can see from the little increase to $44k that later came down to $42k, some altcoins also experience this same movement proving that they are just followers. However Bitcoin doesn't  affect only the crypto market but also some stocks, the current market seem to be fluctuating between $42k, but I believe before the end of the year Bitcoin might get to $44k.
953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nowhere is safe part 2 on: December 16, 2023, 03:28:42 PM
Indeed you where correct, now it's obvious no where is safe for the safe keeping of your cryptocurrency. Hackers are becoming more smart and fast, most especially this period, but that doesn't mean we should avoid the use of hardware wallets. They are still the best and the safest for now until a more top secure wallet is built beside, ledger claims that the attack was not centered on hardware wallet but on the Dapps who used ledgers connectkit. Tether have already frozen the account of the hacker while $254k was still found in the hacker wallet address, so it's possible it might be reversed back to ledger, ledger are looking forward to make a more secure upgrade, so let's keep our hopes high that such aren't gonna happen again.
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trend or long term projects? on: December 16, 2023, 02:59:53 PM
Depends on your skills because you need to have proper knowledge while you are investing in some trend coins because there are certainties that you need to rush to sell your coins because they reach their peak, and after that, they will gonna fall dramatically and it won't have any assurance if it's gonna recover in the future. As for other top altcoins that have been there for a while now, you can just simply choose some of them and carefully pick up the one that suits your budget well but this is not an easy task to do because you need to do your research before making moves for your investment.

Absolutely correct sir, your skill and knowledge are what makes you have profit from those meme coin that are the current trend, some person dive into trend without having the knowledge on how to make make profits from them, one of the biggest mistake an investor would make is to consider meme coin for long term holding. Meme coin are know for short term holding, if you insist on holding for longer period you might end up loosing some of your initial invested coins. While on the other hand patient is the key to investing in other coins.
955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are Meme Coins? on: December 16, 2023, 01:10:31 PM

Meme project are not for long term but high profit in short time. The only thing is to research for best project among many new projects.

Yeah you are correct about the fact that meme coins are good for short term holding, and I approve of that but what I am saying is, the risk associated with meme coin investment is just too much, even for a newbie or an advanced pro trader or investor. Meme coins might be the next target for hackers and scammers to penetrate through. Beside I didn't say they are all scam project or were created for scam purpose either. C'mon mate you know what am talking about, so stop acting a novice.
956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Craze for Meme coins never ends? on: December 16, 2023, 12:54:21 PM
Yeah meme coins are very good in making such profits since they are very volatile, but as this same time they can also make all your investment fall to the ground. Meme coins seem to be the current trend but to me, its just another trending scam in the crypto space. Lots of friends have made some profit that are very attractive and can be a bit persuasive from memecoin but I don't give a fuck, even if they make a $1million profit of a $10000 investment, I still am contented with the bitcoin I hold, my advise to other who hold meme coin, please be careful, the issue of scammers into the crypto world is becoming too much, and meme coins might be their next target.
957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you withdraw your cryptocurrency from an exchange to a bank account on: December 16, 2023, 12:42:10 PM
Sorry op, I recommended binance earlier as an exchange to be used for p2p transact to fiat currency,  currently the news I just got about binance is now an evidence that it no more longer the trusted exchange that it use to be. There issue with the SEC might become more bigger than I ever imagined and it might lead to the shorting down of the exchange, so I recommend you make use of Coinbase or kraken exchange rather than using binance.
958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are Meme Coins? on: December 16, 2023, 12:33:22 PM
It's so embarrassing that many of our investors now follow after trend and forget all that they have learnt so far. The risk associated with meme coins are just too much for me  to comprehend, coins that were made out of joke inspiration are not worth investing in, majority of shitcoin and scam project are meme coins, though they can initially seem promising by giving their investors some sort of profit, but they can still crash to price zero with the twinkle of an eye. What happened to dogecoin and it's massive adoption is as a result of the manipulation Elon musk did, his influence made the coin grew to this length. Nevertheless it's still not safe for investment.
959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Confident Are you With Altcoin In This Time on: December 16, 2023, 12:18:34 PM
For sure altcoins are know to be profit worthy when it comes to holding this is because of their volatility some altcoins tend to be very volatile, which makes them good for short term trade. However I don't do altcoins because I am satisfied with Bitcoin, the risk associated with altcoin is nothing compared to Bitcoin, as we can tell from project in which many adores but at the end, they turned out to be a shitcoin or a scam project. This generation investor believe in trend and that trend can make you regret for the rest of your life.
960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is cuttiung some XRP and ADA products on: December 16, 2023, 12:09:13 PM
This is a very terrible news for both XRP, ADA and binance it self. You can imagine the damage this news will effect on the binance exchange, I was hopping that after the CEO issue and fine given to binance to pay, that it would be all, but to my greatest surprise it seems the SEC are looking forward to pull the exchange down. We have all seen it, binance being the world most popular exchange being tossed to and fro by the SEC, I think this news alone will make lots of investors to cut ties with binance exchange.
