941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Doge coin is bad on: January 30, 2016, 03:16:00 AM
DogeCoin is still alive and popular. No matter what you guys say...  Cool

Yes and this rise has stabilized.  I thought it would drop back down but it is holding its own.  Wonder what is going on with it other than their great community and word of mouth.
942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [AEON] Aeon Speculation on: January 30, 2016, 03:14:45 AM

Have you heard of Free-Range Kids? It's a growing movement that's controversial in the right way. Anti-busybody.

Pace the above:

"AEON: Free-Range Funds"

Haha, love Free-Range Funds!
943  Economy / Economics / Re: Japan adopts negative interest rate in surprise move on: January 30, 2016, 03:04:05 AM
definitely big news, especially if this happens in more countries.  This can only mean Bitcoin will get stronger.
944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Estranged Core Developer Gavin Andresen Finally Makes Sensible 2MB BIP Proposal! on: January 30, 2016, 02:38:26 AM
Can someone explain a bit more, I am not totally sure what all of this means.  How far or how close to Satoshi's original plan is this proposal?  Does it have to be a hard fork at 2MB or is it possible to be a soft fork?
945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: April 8th 2016, a Bitcoin Conference is going to be held in Russia on: January 29, 2016, 02:37:33 PM
Good news I guess.  It is better to hear there is a conference in Russia rather than hearing more about them banning it.
946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cold storage - HACKED easily on: January 27, 2016, 03:49:03 PM
So the only truly safe to store Bitcoin is on paper wallet?  Storage of Bitcoin is one of my least favorite parts about Bitcoin, some of it is over the head of the average user that is not super technical.
947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hollywood To Accept Bitcoin In Movies on: January 27, 2016, 03:46:59 PM
This is great news!  Derek Zoolander loves it and it is his fashion in his interview with Vogue  Smiley
948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Identifying Bitcoins Inventor on: January 26, 2016, 07:39:21 PM
Probably not use that image since that guy had a pretty hard time after the press invaded his life.
949  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I made the effort to call PayPal and ask about BItcoin - CRYPTO NOT ALLOWED on: January 26, 2016, 05:14:52 PM
They don't allow virtual currency, but paypal itself is a form of virtual currency. Kind of ironic.

Exactly, ridiculous and makes no sense.  Also stating due to security reasons - yet paypal has security issues themselves.
950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Doge coin is bad on: January 26, 2016, 05:10:35 PM
Doge/BTC price has risen in this couple for days ago. all the doge faucets has been lagging all day today.

Yes, one of the dogecoin faucets has been cut in half.  I look at that as a good thing, it can only mean that the price is rising.
951  Economy / Economics / Re: Oil Prices Slump to 11-Year Lows in Asia and Europe on: January 26, 2016, 05:08:12 PM
I think oil will rebound a little, but oil will loose  his mportance with  time
it is the end of some period in human history, everything has his end and new  begining

I agree that it may be the end of a period in human history.  A bloody oil period that can give way to other technologies that may not start so many wars. Good riddance.
952  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: January 26, 2016, 05:07:08 PM
How can it be bad if it was the original plan of Satoshi?  Are miners not aware and prepared for this?  Obviously it will be good for the price, not sure about the other areas.
953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2016: Revenge of the Alts on: January 26, 2016, 04:38:22 PM
Nice post title!  Yes, look at DOGE and ETH today!  Why are all of them moving now?
954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Great news 4 European Bitcoiners on: January 26, 2016, 03:43:18 PM
It's OK news, nothing special. At this point the digital currencies aren't that big of a threat to them so it doesn't bother them much. But look what will happen when these currencies start to take over precious market share of fiat. Cheesy That's when they will come to action.

agreed.  It is OK news.  It is better than last month or two when they were suggesting legislation and regulation.
955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: January 26, 2016, 03:36:59 PM
DOGE, LTC, Ripple, Ethereum - basically read a lot about what is going on with altcoins, just like you would any corporate stock.
956  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-01-25]Zcash is an untraceable Bitcoin alternative with some heavy hitters on: January 26, 2016, 02:14:54 AM
Definitely some heavy hitters.  The corporate structure is not great but if the coin truly is anonymous that could be interesting.
957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Rumor] One of the bigger Chinese exchanges is set to list Ethereum on: January 26, 2016, 02:10:45 AM
hmmm.  Care to share what you think might happen to price if this rumor is not a rumor? thanks in advance
958  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: January 26, 2016, 02:01:22 AM
Most women aren't smart enough or tech savvy enough to be into bitcoin, but there are certainly a lot of them who are both and I'm sure many on this site.

Way to cover your arse at the end  Smiley  You are correct...about both parts of the statement.
959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How China's Plans to Launch Its Own Currency Might Affect Bitcoin on: January 26, 2016, 01:58:17 AM
its not a blockchain currency..

if you actually read it.. its actually the same currency they have already. they are just trying to get rid of the paper side to be purely digital..

so dont confuse it to be a blockchain altcoin or anything relevant to cryptocurrencies. mainly the banks want to expand the debit card usage to the entire population so that they can do away with bank notes

Thank you! this is what happens when a person actually reads the entire article.  This news has been floating around a couple days and some are worried about it.  This makes sense now.
960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum ETH - will you buy? 2nd place coinmarketcap on: January 26, 2016, 01:55:53 AM
Irrelevant pump and dump coin is irrelevant. Don't buy the dips. Buy once and use pump to dump on braindead noobs who buy shitcoins.
Don't buy again after that; greed hurts, and sometimes kills. Stay away from shitcoins and obvious pyramid schemes like Ethereum. Coin doesn't even have a normally functioning userwallet, LOL.

It seems like some big players may be doing something with ETH.  maybe IBM and I know Microsoft is doing something.  It is frustrating that there are not easy wallet options with ETH but I am sure they are working on that. Can you explain more about how it is a pyramid scheme as I don't know what that means with altcoins.
