941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has gambling affected your life in a good way? on: July 28, 2017, 10:53:11 AM
Well I say gambling taught me not be greedy, gambling taught that being addict in something is bad, and most of all gambling made me realize how important money is. So I think my answer would be a big YES. When I lose money in gambling I look on the positive side, I just think it is blessing in disguise. Why? Because I already know reality in gambling and because of that I will not make the same mistake again. Everything happens for a purpose. I am also happy because it already happen to me if I am earning a big money in the future and I like to gamble my experience will remind me about everything that happened.

Like you JoMarrah, gambling affect my life in a good way. Yes it the best the teacher for being “contented”.  If something is given to you, do not wish for more or else it will be taken away from you. “”Everything happens for a purpose.”
Not everyone is like you. You are very lucky and open minded to think that after losing all your money in gambling, for you it is still a blessing. For now, I will keep it on my mind. If that happened to me, I will hate gambling and blame myself. I will not think that it is a blessing, but a bad luck.

What a different perspective to it. But generally what you learned was not worth it for sure. Plenty of money for sure has been lost before you learned your lessons. I don't think it is still worth learning this that way. The best thing I learned from gambling is it is just for fun and nothing more. Don't expect you will profit from it and that it is something that can be a source of income.
942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to spot a gambler addicted? on: July 28, 2017, 10:48:34 AM
I think that usually a guy which play games for a long time, risk to became a gambler addicted. Which method you use for stop plaiyng when you understand that you are near to became addicted?

For example, i don't play a lot or for long time (i play games spot during my free time), so i have no idea about, but i trade forex all day and when i had a significant  loss i usually turn off my Pc and i go out for a drink , just for not run behind loss.

I think if someone's doing it a daily habit and it's affecting his/her normal life you can consider him/her a gambling addict. For example, if someone usually goes to the casino and spends most of his money in gambling or even selling some of his property just to play.

Daily going to the casino and playing gambling is not easy mate, if you are rich and don't have any work to do have money to run your family then only you can go daily and play in the casino. Because the entry fee is very high in all casino, we can not bear that money daily. Some people will sell their property and play gambling I heard but this kind of gamblers very less we see.

Even rich people get addicted to gambling and seen plenty of them get bankrupt doing it.
When I went to macau once, I saw a lot of pawnshops outside one casino, and they had so much jewelries and luxury watches.
They are actually cheap, when I asked the pawnshop owner why it was cheap it was because those rich gamblers sold them for scraps.

Guys if anyone wants to bet with me please add me on skype : casiokbtc654@gmail.com
and we will use a escrow who holds funds, will be fun I believe Smiley
Or you could simply find someone on one of those PVP gambling websites ?  Undecided
I'll tell you why your skype + escrow plan wouldn't work out,

The types of bets you could have on cricket ranges from -> Toss - First Ball Score - First over Score -First over Wicket ->Man of the Match and everything in between.
The escrow you guys would  be using should be equally interested about cricket sports betting that is a bookie in real life.If both players agree on a trade and the results are exactly opposite to the predicted events, where does the money go.
Ex : Player one bets -> First Over score = Above 10
Player Two bets -> First Over Score = Above 5
       Result -> First Over Score = 0
No one won the bet.Does this mean escrow gets to keep all the funds ?

That is a good insight you got there. Maybe the solution though for this is that when that happens, it will be considered as draw? Or maybe they just want to bet who wins and who loses. Problem is that is why sports books grades matches. There is a clearly a more dominant team and weaker team that would have lesser probably to win against their opponents.

945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is betting a good choice for a newbie? on: July 27, 2017, 06:28:35 PM
I am earning and collecting bitcoin to bet on sports in future. Will it be a good choice to invest in it betting or other things.Where should i invest my bitcoin to have a long term profit?

If you only have a small amount of bitcoin then no, betting is not a good idea. Gamble with fiat if you only have a small stash of bitcoin's. Bitcoin is too precious to waste gambling if you don't have a lot. Hold onto your bitcoin, it will be worth more & more as time goes on.

Small or big amount of bitcoin, it is not good for a newbie to just try and gamble. If you want to try and gamble then read up some experiences here on the forum or elsewhere. Know what you should avoid. I for one was a newbie to gambling once, and oh boy, if I knew what I knew today. I would not have done what I did in the past.

Wonder if kingdice.com is anyhow related to this .

No, I don't believe so. I believe they are also a victim to paradice.io's scammy ways (I think kingdice.io is owned by paradice.io for the purpose of phishing kingdice.com users)

Yeah, that was probably the intention of those guys. They purchased those domains not for SEO (what a weak reason they have) but really to try and scam people using phising sites like what they made. Let's just hope no one did fall for their traps.

I hope we can spread the word about these scumbags and try to warn people about them!
947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gift For Kid on: July 27, 2017, 05:57:30 PM
I went to store to buy a toy for my kid and I was surprised to see this "toy"

What surprised me was that "+8" sign. While gambling is not allowed for persons under 18, toys like this are pretty much allowed.

In my honest opinion that sign should be "+18" and no one should be allowed to sell this to kids.

I mean, seriously? Would you buy this for your kid?

That must be a mistake made by the toy entrepreneur who issued the toy. Selling toys that had gambling elements  freely is an act that will certainly be criticized by many people in any part of the world. Without a doubt, I will not buy it for my kids.

For sure this is not just mere oversight based from the picture. Look at it man. It is small and looks definitely like a child's toy to me. This was surely made intentionally, but it was a failure and it was a stupid toy for kids.
948  Economy / Gambling / Re: Paradice.io phishing Primedice users on: July 27, 2017, 05:47:19 PM
And I really thought these guys were doing it straight.  Sad

I have a question though. How were they able to get hold of primedice's domain? From the screenshot of the phising site it says there clearly that it was "invest.primedice.com" and not a ".co" domain. Can someone just create a subdomain of a domain they don't control?
949  Economy / Gambling / Re: User vs User gambling : Preferred sport : Cricket on: July 27, 2017, 05:02:44 PM
Guys if anyone wants to bet with me please add me on skype : casiokbtc654@gmail.com
and we will use a escrow who holds funds, will be fun I believe Smiley

So basically you just want to do 1 on 1 betting? What if the game you guys will bet on will be greatly unmatched? Like team A is the top seed and team B is the lowest seed from all the teams? Will you also be using the odds on sports books? or is it win or lose, winner takes all?
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PSA: Pokerstars accepts Bitcoin! on: July 27, 2017, 04:53:04 PM
I see a lot of topics asking for poker websites that accept Bitcoin, but no-one seems to know that you can actually use Bitcoin to deposit to your Pokerstars account.

Pokerstars accepts Neteller, Neteller accepts Bitcoin with a 2% fee, which is actually a lower fee than their other payment options.

I'm just making this topic to get this information out there, since my replies on other similar topics get buried by people who are just replying to increase their post count.

I hope someone gets some use out of this information!

*I'm using Pokerstars Belgium, so I'm not sure if Pokerstars accepts Neteller in other countries, if someone could confirm, that would be really awesome!

Pokerstars doesn't accept bitcoins, Neteller does.

Though it is indirectly depositing bitcoins, I can't say that it is actually accepting bitcoins as deposits.

I think if pokerstars beldium accepts Neteller, then you shouldn't have any problems. Why not just try it out?
951  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best way to buy BTC with USD on: July 27, 2017, 04:37:44 PM
Hi,

I am new to the game and wanted to purchase some BTC and ETH with USD. What I realized that the commission of Coinbase is much higher than the one of Gemini, or Kraken. The other major exchanges don't accept USD deposits though.
Is Gemini, or Kraken okay to buy BTC and ETH?

Thanks!

Just try to buy using localbitcoins. Buy them directly from other people.

Yeah, fees are sometimes super expensive in those middlemen as that is where they profit.

You can probably get about 3-5% fees if you use localbitcoins.
952  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin in Economics class? on: July 27, 2017, 04:35:12 PM
Once after the big whales, the economic class people were the one who holds good volume of bitcoin to move to the next level of living standard. For the same lots of users have invested small amounts affordable to make a profit in the future. The current scenario is good mainly for the rich people.
well! Bitcoin has a strong relation with economics because we all are aware of it that the bitcoin and the economics class students are close enough they are really known to bitcoin and the usage ups and down of the bitcoin currency and the market values of the prices if they will be taught the topics related to the bitcoin then the students of the economics will take good interest in it.

Yeah, it can be part of economics, but not really right now. Probably when the time comes that like at least 20% of the population of the earth has at least used bitcoins in some way. Right now, there isn't even probably 1-3% of the population that used it. It will just be irrelevant information to people.
953  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price is recovering! on: July 27, 2017, 03:35:19 PM
Good news dude !
Bitcoin price is recovering little by little .
From 950 $ some hours ago to 1066$ now !
Buy now till it's under 1100$.
 https://blockchain.info/markets

I told you guys, do not panic. Bitcoin value will just falls gor a moment the. It will always rise back again, and even higher. What happened to all those people who sell their bitcoin? Do you regret now? Poor people, you should always trust and never suspect the ability of the bitcoin to grow and still be the worlds number one.

Bitcoins really don't drop in value. Prices are just temporary. The true value of bitcoins is really hard to measure as this is the foundation of the future for sure. The technology is so solid that it is something that could potentially replace any fiat currency. So don't panic and keep on buying bitcoins. There is no reason not to.
954  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Steam game on: July 25, 2017, 10:03:02 AM
Usually these steam games sold in blackmarkets should be just a fraction of the price. Since the authenticity and how they were acquired is not disclosed or even proven to be 100% legit. Why would people risk buying games that are near how much steam are selling and risking their accounts to get banned and the bought game removed by steam itself?

I suggest you just lower your prices by more than half, if not you won't sell a thing.
955  Economy / Economics / Re: Explain on: July 22, 2017, 06:02:32 PM
What do you believe bitcoin is better than gold, explain?

You should have written this exact question as the thread's title. It's really stupid to have a thread where you have to open the whole thing before you even know what's the topic all about. The topic title is there for a reason OP, please learn it.

Also, this topic has been heavily discussed in previous threads before. No point it creating another thread about it.
956  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you using PayPal to buy a bitcoin? on: July 22, 2017, 05:17:47 PM
It's actually easy to do. You don't have to tell paypal you bought bitcoins using their service. The only problem is that people using paypal to buy bitcoins have a chance to charge back and the person selling bitcoins has no recourse when that happens. So if you are the one paying using paypal then you first need to be trusted before you can do so as no one will deal with you.
957  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: July 21, 2017, 11:27:39 AM
I received email from fortunejack about deposit bonuses. I want to mention that having such promotions so often is amazing but I don't like the fact that spin bonuses don't works. Deposit bonus and + free spins were in one package but I only got deposit bonus, not free spins.
Hope you will fix this situation, on another hand, everything works great.

Hello,
Hope you are doing great today and thank you for your feedback.
Kindly, contact our support team through fortunejack.com live chat or at support@fortunejack.com and they will assist you further.

About 1st Aug SegWit activation, I am not sure exactly what we are planning to do. Will let you know when I have an answer Smiley

I have this same question, and this is being asked on almost all casinos (and ever services holding btc for their users), if their sites would be giving their users all the coins if there would be indeed a hard fork or splitting of the chains. Great the fortune jack is addressing this, even if there is no answer yet, I think we can rest assured that there would be an optimal solution for this.
958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Detailed SOP for Manual Provably Fair Checking on: July 21, 2017, 11:24:30 AM
I want to check manually my bets that I've placed.

How exactly do I do this in Excel?

I've generated some bets but they aren't matching... I'm pretty sure I'm not completing the process correctly.

Does anyone have a thread or video on how exactly to do it with a step by step process?

I am not sure, since I am not an expert at it, but I think doing a provably fair check of your bets would involve a mechanism that is within the gambling site you are playing on. It really defers with each and every site how they compute their bets if it is provably fair. It is best if you check with your gambling site on how to do it. Or share with us where you are gambling on.
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can someone explain the trend of bitcoin casinos creating altcoins ? on: July 21, 2017, 11:15:05 AM
Well I just finally got how it works, sort of.
Their ICOs are ethereum tokens where if the sites profits they would have a smart contract that would distribute the profits to their investors/coin holders.
It is really like stocks, where the corporation distributes their profits through dividends and the stocks can be sold depending on how well the corporation is doing.
960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you would win a Jackpot what would you do with the money? on: July 21, 2017, 11:08:52 AM
For me it depends on how big the jackpot is. If it is quite big then I will probably use it to invest into some things online like ICOs and other forms of investments. Or probably cash it all out to fiat and invest in an offline business. If it is just small, like below 0.1btc then probably I'll just buy steam games with it and enjoy myself playing games.
