941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Theoretically, is a Bitcoin Credit Card possible? on: December 21, 2014, 09:46:28 PM
It most certainly is possible.
942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Problem with the blockchain on: December 18, 2014, 02:50:04 AM
10 minutes is a average time: the real block time can be 1 second or x hours
more than 1,5 hours is rare but relatively normal  Wink

Indeed, I wouldn't worry too much.
943  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: when will all btc be mined? on: December 18, 2014, 02:23:27 AM
Let's keep things in perspective. In 10 years 95% of bitcoins will be mined. The rest will be spare change and less and less relevant to miners for the next 100 years.

Transaction fees will be the main incentive for miners.

Very true.
944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would people think if I created a Bitcoin jobs board of my own? on: December 18, 2014, 01:56:57 AM
Give it a shot, it is worth a try.
945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wikipedia on: December 11, 2014, 03:13:50 PM
Last I read, they are accepting bitcoins, multiple people have reported this.
946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 20 years later bitcoin and goverments on: December 11, 2014, 03:12:26 PM
Attacks can and will occur, although I believe Bitcoin will always continue to fight another day.
947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's brave/stupid enough to invest their life savings into Bitcoin? on: December 11, 2014, 03:11:11 PM
Just did the math, I have 10% of my net worth in cryptos.
That's 10% of not very much, mind you... Wink

10% is an acceptable amount of risk for most asset allocations.
948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you normally trust a Bitcoin ATM? on: December 11, 2014, 03:10:00 PM
Where is the risk in getting bitcoins?

You get the bitcoins...they can't be taken back.

Getting the bitcoins is the preferred outcome, however, there's a bit in the middle there where machine has your cash, and you have not got the bitcoins.

Yah this is a risk you have to take, although you'll know if you were ripped off almost immediately and then could deal with. I doubt someone would want to put their expensive machine in that dangerous situation.
949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reddit about to fully integrate bitcoin! on: December 11, 2014, 03:08:39 PM
Ryan X. Charles, Reddit's new Cryptocurrency Engineer

It's definitely long-term. Bitcoin technology will ultimately become integral to reddit. We've had some internal brainstorming about ways we could integrate - the possibilities are enormous.

Ryan X. Charles (/u/ryancarnated), cryptocurrency engineer

I discovered bitcoin on May 13, 2011 and never recovered. After developing a reputation as the bitcoin guy at the physics department, I eventually quit my physics PhD program and went full-time bitcoin. I worked for the best bitcoin company in the world, BitPay, but couldn't pass up an opportunity to bring bitcoin to millions of reddit users. I'm working on reddit's digital asset, as well as general purpose bitcoin infrastructure to enable things like micropayments and contracts. My favorite things are elliptic curves, hash functions, and Merkle trees. My favorite subreddits are /r/bitcoin, /r/sloths and /r/earthporn. If I had written bitcoin, it would have been in javascript.

950  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin exchange is better? your opinion is needed on: December 03, 2014, 03:34:02 PM
I've simply used BTC-e in the past, I always liked it. Although I don't know if it is the best at all.
951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wikipedia on: December 03, 2014, 03:30:35 PM
Very nice, that is good news.
952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying historically significant bitcoins? on: December 03, 2014, 03:24:59 PM
I think an early Casacius coin would have value, but a BTC itself. I don't think would have any numismatic value.
953  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What if a large number of miners were suddenly forced to shut down? on: December 03, 2014, 03:23:58 PM
The value of Bitcoin would explode for sure.
954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People can now buy Bitcoin using credit cards on: December 03, 2014, 03:22:40 PM
Hope they have good insurance.
955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is There Any Chance? on: December 03, 2014, 03:21:25 PM
I believe this to be very unlikely, I'm sure some could be found, but certainly not all.
956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin good enough; there aren't critically important improvements needed? on: December 03, 2014, 03:17:38 PM
Of course, there is always room for improvement and I believe bitcoin is going to only grow that much more in the future. It is here for the long term.
957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin or bitcoins ? on: December 03, 2014, 03:12:51 PM
I would say two bitcoins.

http://www.bitfantasy.com

Fun game, I played for a while.

elwar how is the reward???

i have to test other games and i do not have time to test it!!!

i appreciate if you let me know the average reward of http://www.bitfantasy.com game...

BitFantasy is more of a game that uses Bitcoin as a currency than that you get paid to play. But if you build up enough resources and get good items you can sell them for bitcoins. And sometimes they have a hidden bitcoin that people can find. I have not played in a few years though.

Very nice.
