941  Economy / Economics / Re: MENTAL HEALTH ANG WELLBEING on: August 07, 2020, 05:52:56 AM
All of us must divert our mind into something creative and productive work then be it learning new skills or re-learning, spending times with family, playing with kids etc. This would just help to de-stress or say will keep our mind busy in good way rather than thinking negative about many things happening around, in personal life people like losing jobs, no work for so many months etc will just put more stress to yourself.

I guess it is not that bad to rest for some time.

Just thinking about work would drain you and if you are mentally ill or stressed, it is best to have some time for yourself. Invite your friends at home, watch some TV or maybe Netflix shows. Maybe drink with them but makes sure you limit yourselves in your house.

There are a lot of ways to release your stress and this lockdown, you are limited to do things in your houses so inviting someone would be really helpful.
942  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin good for the economy? on: August 07, 2020, 02:43:07 AM
~snip
Its hard to realize because we dont know what happened next with bitcoin. So far bitcoin has provided various benefit for user and it is much better. Bitcoin will of course continue to be developed and its application will also increase over time.

Some economic observer will consider bitcoin as a threat to a country economy. I am not sure about that because personally I as a bitcoin user can feel the benefit such as profit through investment and trade. But they also have their own view, as long as it doesnt bother us so let them talk.

I guess that is because of the anonimity it offers.

We doesn't pay taxes to our cryptocurrencies or the profits we are having, I guess that is the reason why they look at it as a threat. If more people would be using it, then more people would be able to evade taxes earned from it. Still, I agree since there are still a lot of convinience of it but I think it is not majorly for the economy of the country.
943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Regulations in online Gambling sites on: August 07, 2020, 01:50:09 AM
Does this mean every online casinos would require KYC?

If that is the case I guess there would be a problem to some crypto gamblers since I know the majority of the gamblers using cryptocurrencies wants themselves to be anonymous or just doesn't want to send their information.  I am fine with the cap or the requirement to provve but this is different.
944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: August 07, 2020, 12:49:42 AM
So you're saying that it is airborne?

You're saying that it is being taken by the air and not falling down when released when someone sneezed or talked? I thought it doesn't work like that?

It's airborne when sneezed or exhaled and if you are within the range of that exhale, then you will breathe it in.  (that is why it is essential to socially distance so you don't breathe it in - no-one can say for certain what the actual range of travel of a sneeze or exhale is).

Once the particles have settled on a surface, you c into contact by touching them and if you put your hand to your mouth or eyes transmission with occur.

Essentially, regularly wash your hands and maintain social distancing, avoid touching your face or eyes.

As far as I know being airborne means it can be carried by the air.

What you are saying is just the respiratory droplets through sneezing, breathing others. If it is airborne, it would be like a gas leak, radiation from the leak which people should abandon that place in certain mile or distance. If it is really airborne, social distancing is not enough. This will be really tragic if that is the case especially to Las Vegas with functioning casinos and bars.
945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: August 06, 2020, 11:35:47 AM
To be clear, Covid-19 is not airborne.

It is just being passed from human to human by physical contacts and respiratory droplets.

Wrong, wrong and almost right.

So you're saying that it is airborne?

You're saying that it is being taken by the air and not falling down when released when someone sneezed or talked? I thought it doesn't work like that?
946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: August 06, 2020, 10:42:05 AM
It might not be a good idea but they have their reason for it.

Las Vegas is known for its casinos and bars, thay is why they are opening it immediately despite the pandemic. Online gambling is better nowadays but they can't really stop these people and just follow the certain protocols. But some are really patriotic and hard-headed to play on their offline casinos.

Since this pandemic spreads through air, the only solution to slow down its spread is to impose a complete lockdown. But it was imposed earlier and if it is imposed again, then the economy may take a hit. What needed now was a gradual re-opening, where only the essential services are allowed. But in the United States and some of the other nations, they are trying to go back to the pre-COVID days all of a sudden and this has resulted in the sudden spike in the number of new infections.

To be clear, Covid-19 is not airborne.

It is just being passed from human to human by physical contacts and respiratory droplets. We can't just impose a lockdown all of a sudden because that would more destroy the economy of a country. The reason for this casino and bar openings is to restore their economy.

Cases spiking is inevitabke at that state but the people are also making it harder
947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beirut explosion - Lesson to learn from this. on: August 06, 2020, 09:47:45 AM
Despite the care you have, if you're dead it doesn't matter.

I know that we also wanted to take care of our Bitcoins; to protect it from the hackers and prove that it is ours with private keys on our side. But the problem here is that this huge explosion is an accident, or the carelessness of the people with that tons of amonia stored there.

We can protect our Bitcoins and other altcoins from hackers, from scammers, but we can't always protect ourselves from what will happen.
948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Best Course Of Action? on: August 06, 2020, 09:21:46 AM
What is your plan though?

I think before you ask us you should have a plan first since you can't just put your money blindly without any strat, right? Like if it reaches a certain price you will sell, something like that. Right now it is best if you can sell of them to get some profit you can use to reinvest if ever the price fell. You can also invest them into altcoins with a good possibility of giving you a profit.
949  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie should trade or not? Please give me idea. on: August 06, 2020, 08:55:07 AM
Trading don't have any requirements to everyone, as long as you have the capital to buy coin in the exchange you can do trade anytime you want. Besides, even newbies get loss their coins it not our loss anyway in the end. And I believed that through trading we can learn a lot of things of how to earn or to improve here in this field of business.

You said it yourself.

Capital, the money you will be using to invest or trade is the first requirement you should have. Another thing is that you should always afford the lose you are having. With the fast-changing price of these cryptocurrencies, you should also expect a loss. As a newbie you should be ready with this.
950  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Straight HODL vs Trading on: August 06, 2020, 07:06:03 AM
To be honest, straight hodl is not my favorite strategy for making profit, because patience is needed. Straight hodl can work well
if done long-term, then coins with strong fundamentals that fit this strategy. Like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Ripple. The advantage
of straight hodl does not require much time to monitor the market, we only need to monitor the market twice a week.

I think I would go with trading.

Still, this depends on how you wanted it. You can't just do trading if you doesn't prefer it, right? Another thing is that trading is more risky than holding but the thing is that trading has a higher chance of giving a profit. With a lot of altcoins with potential in the market, there are still those that is scam and won't survive the market.

951  Economy / Economics / Re: Pray for Our World (Pray for Lebanon) Another Economic Crisis on: August 06, 2020, 06:02:40 AM
This is just sad.

A lot of things are happening in this year and this just makes things worst. Just imagine having a pandemic and this happened. Lebanon's covid cases are increasing in days before this happened, those people affected by that explosion have it rough right now.

As far as I know 2 of my countrymen whose working here was killed by this explosion. Lets just pray for them.
952  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines will drop as a Country, Economy on its worst! on: August 06, 2020, 05:20:55 AM
(I am a Filipino citizen)

We have the worst Government in this time of Pandemic, It's not all about the President but the Government as a whole.

what can you say about our situation for being the worst and also as the leading country on ASEAN that has a high  number of Covid Cases. It's been months already and yet, jnstead of recoveries we are getting most of it, and our economy is already falling. Or in other words, how will you react if you're one of us staying on the same country...
try to contact with the outside media make videos and show to the world what is going on.
we dont live cave age the things are publick and people talk about things only then the things can be changed.

Here's why we can't really do that.

The government already passed a bill called the anti-terror bill. And right now, they are talking about regulation into social medias and platforms like YouTube. That means when we talk against the government in the social media, we will be considered a terrorist. That is why a lot of people are really against it.
953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots are better than Dice. on: August 06, 2020, 04:46:11 AM
you say that because your favourite game is Slot, i can said blackjack is the better game than other game because i love to play blackjack, you cant say this because everyone has their own favourite game to play, all game are best for who everyone like to play it.
And that's what we all like.

Our favorite games will usually be our top choice and others have their favorite games too. There's nothing better if we'll compare but if we will be basing from our favorites to fewer favorites, there will be a better category which shall be made by us.

Yes we all do have favorite game. There's a game here in our country that we call "Color Game" the mechanics of the game is, you will pick a color (red, pink, green, yellow, blue, and white) but depends to the owner what color he/she wants, then there are 3 cubes which contains the colors and it is in random. There's a lever and you are going to pull it, then the cubes are going to roll. If the 3 colors turn at the same time, you are going to in 3x of your bet and 2x when 2 color appears. Its a very simple game and for me that is the easy way to do gambling.
The result mechanics of the game is like dice.

Because you will never know what's going to be the next color that will appear, the same with dice, you'll never know the next number that shall appear.

And that is what we like.

We like simpler mechanics. Dice just gave us two options, High and low, that is just a 50-50 unlike Slots. That also gives us higher chance of winning. Also I like simpler games and I can just gamble faster.
954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: August 05, 2020, 09:59:32 AM
I think its not a good idea to open casinos today. The virus is everywhere, we don’t know who has the virus. Its more important to stay at home rather than go to casinos. That’s why online gambling is better today so we can be safe while we’re gambling. Online gambling is the new trend if you are addicted to gambling. There are a lot of way to gambling. So much better to bet online rather than physical or going to casinos.

955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 05, 2020, 09:03:47 AM
Who watched the match of Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks. Well, Bucks lost but the game was hot and intense as Giannis and Hall gets into each other. Giannis was about to attack and confront Hall but he was stopped and the game continued.

The game was close. That last second of DiVincenzo, I thought that it will make a buzzer-beater but it didn't because the ball taps to his leg.

I don't even consider this close.

If you will be looking at the game again their coach are lineups are like a preseason team. Giannis is in the game for what? Like 20 minutes and he's done. I think the reason behind this is just that they wanted Brooklyn to take the 8th spot and for them to have a smooth run in the playoffs, what do you guys think?
956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: August 05, 2020, 07:10:36 AM
His big contribution to Cryptoworld is at no cost.

He started it.

Some researches might be published about that but he started this world. Without the blockchain, I don't think these altcoins will be made in which goals to take down the first one, usually. And with a cost since he has a vision for it and then he left.
957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scam victims on: August 05, 2020, 06:01:34 AM
I am sorry for your loss but it is unrecoverable.

At first you should've been able to check or verify those sites as scams are so familiar and common in this community. What you can just do now is to educate and tell this to other people like what you did so the possible victims of these kinds of sites would stop. Hope you didn't stop investing instead learn from this.
958  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will touch the high price in 2020? on: August 05, 2020, 04:48:19 AM
I think we will not have an ATH this year.

The price is quite good in terms of movement these days but with some people here needing some profits they can use to sustain themselves withva long low price in the past months, it may just go back and forth from high and low. As I said 4 to 5 digit price.

We might reach $20K but I doubt it will be much better than that.
959  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on track to 100k according to stock to flow model on: August 05, 2020, 04:13:53 AM
It is a prediction and they based it on the information they have so they arrive at that.

I don't mind reading their prediction but we have our different sides about it. Some would obviously sell while the price are not that low and I expect a lot of investors holders and users to do the same thing and then make another investment as the price go down

Another 10 years maybe? I think we would be seeing a good price this year. As I said in the past threads, it might stay at prices between $9K to $11K so we might be seeing another ATH next year or the other.
960  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines will drop as a Country, Economy on its worst! on: August 02, 2020, 01:22:06 PM
.. will again order a lock down but I guess they can't afford it anymore, the economy will certainly collapse as it's in serious trouble already.

Issuing a lockdown might be the worst of it.

The most annoying about this increasing cases is the project called "Balik Probinsya" in which people working from Urban places will be able to go to their provinces but the problem is that most of them are asymptomatic and brought the virus in these provinces that doesn't usually have cases of the virus.

Then some of these people are not actually following the protocol of self-quarantine amd just doing things they wanted to do like there is no pandemic whatsoever.
