GME.crypto-expert.com is back online and mining!

Reregister if you have not already and check the Getting Started page for the miner info.

GJ Ahmed!

@daemonfox

Nice summary of your est. GPL

What do think if hits the LTC market like Cryptsy has been doing with most of their coin releases to their exchange.

Copperbars is doing well at the Cryptsy exchange. Currently asking 3.6 LTC but I know block reward is .0064 CPR. And the current diff. is 0.28001025.

Thanks daemonfox for the info Cheesy

Just me speculating, but knowing how IgOtSpots has been in the past... I have bets on him ASKING for CPR to be in the LTC market, so he would have a coin in each.

For the most part, the onyl reason coins go into the LTC market are that the dev and community ask for it, the coin is the same as another BTC coin but some small difference or smaller support and when a coin has such a large amount fo coins and low value, it drops to a single Satoshi.

GPL should get a nice spot for Cryptsy BTC as long as it is not requested to go straight to LTC.

Also, note that not a single scrypt-Jane coin has yet to be added to LTC, mostly because the amount of miners who want to take the time to compile a miner, or understand how to optimize GPU scrypt jane mining are a far cry from the amount  of mainstream scrypt miners. This gives us a bit of an edge in the decision... as supply is now steady and predictable, and makes a consistent value possible. Should make for a good BTC exchangeable coin.

A few things...

1. BCX if you are watching, thank you for not demolishing this when it launched... the pools needed time to get things right and are still working out some problems, so I think I can safetly speak for everyone in saying we appreciate you not killing this coin.

2. Ahmed went to class last I saw but will be back soon... him and i had miners pointed at his /ARG address port 7302 to test some changes for the GME pool and it connected and has shares... but it needs more time or miners to really find a block. You would have to register for the ARG pool... but it is really just to test until he gets back from class to fix the main pool. To note... it seems to be working so should go live again shortly.

3. I think this has started off well... but it is still far from being labeled a success until all pools are up and we have a large chunk of blocks behind us... do not be suprised if this is not put back on Cryptsy for a few more weeks... I know they will want to see if it is going to stabalize, and what might happen if a ton of hash is dropped on it.
944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] StarTrek insipred coins =) and mining links (Low Diff) Nice Bounties! on: September 08, 2013, 11:56:21 PM
Running some rough numbers, I wanted to share what my estimate for this coins value is, and what that means to anyone entertaining the idea of selling it early.

While this is in no way a definite, I do feel the below is a good measure of where GPL will sit after a few months of mining and the exchanges get a hold of it.

My 7950 averages about BTC.03 per day on top profit scrypt coins... which is usually about 300% more than BTC mining... sometimes more BTC sometimes less but almost always around 300% more than mining directly.

So, estimating my BTC.03 per day at 3X BTC production means the about 30 GPL i generate per day should also be worth at least BTC.03 per day in order for it to be a competitor at the top of the profit charts.

With that said, it stands to reason, a top price for 1 GPL should max out at around  BTC.001 each at ~.2 difficulty.

My theory, as I have witnessed for coins as they hit exchanges, is that initially... if it were to appear on coinchoose the moment it was listed, it will actually have a profitability 3X that, so, right now, it is a safe estimate, that a single GPL could easily sell for BTC.003 each until they are bought down to BTC.001 where they would level off with top coins. They would continue to slide down coinchoose as hashrate jumped to at least double or triple, rendering profitability to NULL at this exchange rate, but that will not be enough to drive up the price. Hashrate will leave again, difficulty will drop back to ~.2 and the price should only dip slightly to about BTC.0007 landing it at about 200% profitability, where most coins linger daily.

So, in conclusion, your GPL will level off at a value of BTC.0007 each, and until they are on an exchange, will most likely trade for 1/10th of that. In summation, do not buy GPL for more than BTC.0007 each, and do not part with yours for less than BTC.00007 each, as this should be the floor, and by doing so, will make sure GPL holders refuse to part with their bars for less than 7000 Satoshis.
945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GameCoin (GME) - MANDATORY UPDATE to v0.8.4.0 on: September 08, 2013, 06:32:52 AM
@daemonfox

Trying to help the pools and it was ALL I was doing at the time is what started all of this in the first place. Looking for flaws in security is something that is a hobby for me. I found a situation in CryptoExpert which at the time made up about 95% of the network on GME where a miner could mine at almost double normal speed, submit 100% rejects and still accumulate shares that would pay out.

Apparently no else had found this flaw, but if they had, they could have easily bankrupted the pool. Now do you think they said "Hey Thanks" or was it more like "fuck you, we're coding gods elite blah blah blah" and eventually ended with "go ahead, do your best, we're prepared"....

So here we are...

What was that you were saying about helping the pools?

~BCX~

PS. More than likely won't do anything at all, this coin is going to die from "developer attack" soon. The latest release will require a mandatory update within a 1000 blocks if it even runs that long.

See... that i'm not at all upset about... don't know that it went down that way exactly but... in this instance I will take it at face value.

If the flaw has been fixed with the pool, then there only remains the difficulty issues with the coin itself correct? MANY coins would suffer from 400MH/s dumping on it... CAPs forked because MP swapped to it at the same time vern had pool issues... LBW has forked as well likely in the same manner... but these two at least have a decent difficulty adjustment. So i agree with you there and I have already said it elsewhere... a 110% up or down 12 block adjustment is leaving the same issue... maxing difficulty with all that hash then it being abandoned to flail around until so many adjustments ratchet it back down again.

I am hoping MAYBE you will decide to leave it be... knowing the difficulty fix is not going to prevent this scenario... maybe something can be done without resetting the chain again.

If you can find it in yourself to not blast this on relaunch... maybe some progress can be made if a complete rebuild is not required once a month.
946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GameCoin (GME) - MANDATORY UPDATE to v0.8.4.0 on: September 08, 2013, 05:34:04 AM
@daemonfox,

I have no issues with LTC LOL, apparently you weren't around in the early LTC days. I started mining LTC from day zero. I also happen to be one of the first people that worked on developing the first gpu miner for LTC. Didn't even get close to getting mine working first but I can assure you, I was definitely one of the largest GPU mining farms on LTC for quite a while in the early days. I actually haven't mined any coin for profit in over a year. Got bored with it and have been trading ever since. BTW I was also an early BTC gpu miner. My first rig was 4 5770's in September 2010 when the BTC diff hit 352.

To answer your question, I have no goal. Just a hobby and entertainment to me, kind of like playing Angry Birds. I also get to add GME to the list of coins that I have over a million of, and yes prior to 64000  Grin Grin Grin

Hopefully (GME) will evolve or will probably die.

~BCX~

Did not intend that to mean you have problems with LTC... just meant you wouldn't be mining it since you have a kamikaze attack ready to blow up on GME at re-launch.

Most of us could care less when you started and what you may have done before you started acting this way... if you are really in it as a hobby... why not do something more constructive with what you have...

Honestly... you seem level headed and obviously talented and intelligent... so why waste all that compute power and time on THIS coin... of all coins... THIS one... others have pointed out you have something against the creator/dev... but you deny it every time it comes up.

I ask you this... if... IF a more positive idea on your use of power were suggested and had merit, since you do not have any goal here, (supposedly) would you be willing to leave GME to grow and mature without causing it to rupture every few weeks?

There are three GME pools... would there be any way to talk you into splitting your hash between all three and only a portion of the 400MH/s to GME period?

There are so many other shit coins with dead dev support and huge premines that should be wiped away... so many that this type of action could render dead instantly...

IDK... maybe i'm just talking to a wall... but if there is a chance to harness your skills and power to advance things in crypto... shouldn't we all jump at the opportunity?
947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GameCoin (GME) - MANDATORY UPDATE to v0.8.4.0 on: September 08, 2013, 04:29:44 AM

Exactly 12blocks will be mined at the starting diff.

Seriously, you really think a 110% increase every 12 blocks is going to slow down 400+ mhs?

~BCX~

Its so cute to see how big of a temper tantrum you have thrown over this coin... so now its 400MH/s you have lined up just waiting... to accomplish what... what is your goal here?

You can lie to yourself and everyone else all you want... you aren't doing anything noble, or helpful in the least... it is, in fact, one of the saddest things i have seen since BTC launched... a baby with too much compute power for his own good... throwing a fit over a single coin.

But c'est la vie... at least LTC and others will get a rest from you while you are focused here... almost like a distraction... designed specifically for you... hmm...

Clear as mud???    Grin

You cleared that up very well... i knew the input output thing... but i never realized solo'd coins have to use a different key pair than your receive address... so thanks for that little lesson.

Looks like we took another 20-30% hit on gpu mining.

So just like copperbars GPU mining gets less efficient.

Time to dust off the old bot net. Roll Eyes

Dreamwatcher thanks for the block explores Wink

confirmed... soloing at 1.5MH/s just dropped to flat 1.2MH/s.

Where can we see N Factor... i checked the getmininginfo and getinfo and there is nothing.

I saw the coding posted but i have not sat and looked at it enough to gather how often it adjusts...

I did notice one oddity so far... what is the purpose of the big black box at the bottom?

If you aren't using your browser at a certain width or max screen... it overlaps the Market Name Value headers to the right.

Using the links for the top coins held addys works... searching for my own addy copied from my GPL QT... 404s every time even when i put my addy directly into the URL.

FAawKGBwSfMDU8EWmUccUbt2sGnwjYrRXy

EDIT ok weird... the above is the receive address listed in the GPL QT but... the below are the two addresses the coins show as coming in to but are not listed under my Receive Coins tab...

FQiLSsSda3UQAJp7YxbWwJP36HDigfqdFQ
F8qKTeJ3hixDjD8pNXh6AfbEt9S4UnxRaT

Am I missing something?

CCE3 TEST VERSION 3.5  IS ONLINE FOR UFC, KED and GPL!!

CCE3 test version 3.5 block explorers are up:

Federation Credit (UFC)

http://cryptocoinexplorer4.com:4001/

Klingon Darsek (KED)

http://cryptocoinexplorer4.com:5001/

Gold Pressed Latinum (GPL)

http://cryptocoinexplorer4.com:6001/

The server change is due to the need to test the new server environment in the near future.I cannot do this on the current live coin servers. The port addresses are used for now, but once the server environment is ready for testing the addresses will change to the permanent CCE address system (ufc.cryptocoinexplorer.com ... etc) I will post when that is ready.

P.S You can see an example of my previous post at the GPL explorer block: 82167

Very well done dream... surfing through them now, will let you know if I find anything weird or w/e.

I PM'd you earlier... when you have a sec.

Due to brief periods of pool mining, playing games and mining other coins... I have JUST NOW mined my 100th total GPL solo... I have almost 90 on the pool as well.

Not too bad... in 19 hours i have solod 20 GPL at this diff and another 3+ on the pool... hoping for some luck these last 5 hours... see if I reach the 30 GPL est the pool showed my hashrate should get in 24 hours.
953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CENT] Pennies launched on: September 07, 2013, 01:34:27 PM
Shakezula,

ETA on new client?

Sad to see all the miners flee because of the massive PoS issue... noone wants to mine cuz they dont have any return compared to the ppl just relying on the massive PoS issue.

Price is stabalizing on Cryptsy but not where it should be yet since the PoS dumpers are flooding to cash in on the free coins.

When will this be fixed?
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] StarTrek insipred coins =) and mining links (Low Diff) Nice Bounties! on: September 06, 2013, 01:19:33 AM
I have also been using the scrypt-jane_gpu.zip miner

I launch it with this,
Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
ybcminer --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1377557876

the first time you run the batch file above you will need to manually add the URL and PW.  and then save a config file same as CGminer.  by pressing "s" then "w", then enter, enter.

runs like a dream.  no issues, no need to rename the exe.

Same here... I posted my bat file contents earlier in the thread is a code window with the same --StartT as you... it is not the StartT dream and bitcoinextra are using... and i am now using the one they posted and mining so... not sure which is correct.
955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] StarTrek insipred coins =) and mining links (Low Diff) Nice Bounties! on: September 05, 2013, 08:34:23 PM
I have been using this scrypt-jane miner at http://rghost.ru/48162507

After the download I renamed the .exe to GPLminer  then I put the scrypt-jane folder in easy to find place so when using your cmd prompt you navigate to it easy. Once you are in your cmd prompt, navigate to the folder the GPLminer.exe file is in. Then start it up with this cmd line to mine on the pool. (copy and paste if you need to)

GPLminer --scrypt -o gplcoin.com:8888 -u yourworker -p yourpassword --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1377557832 -I 17

To mine solo use this: Make sure you have the GPL wallet software running and sync for this.

GPLminer --scrypt -o localhost:8344 -u yourworker -p yourpassword --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1377557832 -I 17

I have been using it on a Win8 64-bit Machine that I use for mining new coins seems everything has been stable so far for the 2 days I have been mining. (Solo and Pool mining)

I Will be throwing another machine on the pool soon once maintenance is done. Grin

Hope that helps people that have not been able to compile the GPL GPUminer that dreamwatcher Kickedass on.

Thanks again for the Pool and Miner. Smiley

Scificoin thanks for the coin, I will keep an eye for the Scificoin exchange.

My spidey sense is tingling that a Marvel theme coin is maybe incoming Roll Eyes

Edit: There is also a Win64 CPUminer thanks to ig0tik3d Wink found below this post vvvv

ybcminer.exe --scrypt --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1377557867 is what i have succesfully been mining with... the value you have was the original launches value... yet it works?

cpu miner for gpl (win64) (if not wrong nChainStartTime = 1377557832  Grin)
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B9cvOfoOekSdSnUtSmltRVQ2WFk/edit?usp=sharing
example start:
Code:
minerd -a scrypt-jane -o stratum+tcp://gplcoin.com:8888 -u workername -p workerpass

p.s. for gpu miner --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1377557832 (if in source code is right this parameter )

And this has also worked for you? Is this a compile of the source dream put up?

So how important is the StartT parameter?

EDIT: Tested and approved you ROCK ig0tik3d! Post GPL addy you deserve some coin.

Given the issues some have with google docs 404 pages... I have added this to my Mega account as well after adding a start.bat file to it. YOU MUST EDIT THIS FILE WITH YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD FOR THE POOL OR YOUR .conf FILE IF SOLO MINING!!!!!

I will see about compiling the CPU miner into windows so you can mine the pool. No guarantees, but it is something I need to set up anyhow and have been putting off for some time.

Detailed Windows build instructions, using MinGW (64-bit):
Install MinGW and the MSYS Developer Tool Kit (http://www.mingw.org/)
      * Choose C, C++ and MSys on install and select to have it update its libraries
      * Install into C:\MinGW
      * Add C:\MinGW\bin and c:\MinGW\msys\1.0 to your path
   Download MinGW64 from http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw-w64/files/Toolchains%20targetting%20Win64/Automated%20Builds/
      * Choose mingw-w64-bin_i686-mingw_20111220.zip
      * Extract ZIP to C:\MinGW64
      * Add C:\MinGW64\bin to your path before C:\MinGW\bin
   Install libcurl devel (http://curl.haxx.se/download.html)
      * download curl-7.30.0.tar.gz from http://curl.haxx.se/download.html and put it in C:\deps\
      * launch an MSYS shell and enter the following commands (the configure step will take a long time!)
         cd /c/deps
         tar -xvzf curl-7.30.0.tar.gz
         cd curl-7.30.0
         ./configure --host=x86_64-w64-mingw32 –-prefix=/c/mingw64
         make
         make install
         cp /c/deps/curl-7.30.0/docs/libcurl/libcurl.m4 /c/mingw/share/aclocal/libcurl.m4
   Install pthreads
      * download pthreads-20100604.zip from http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw-w64/files/External%20binary%20packages%20%28Win64%20hosted%29/pthreads/ and put it in C:\deps\
      * unzip the file to c:\deps\
      * In the mingw64 subdirectory is pthreads-w64.zip - extract the contents to C:\MinGW64
In the MSYS shell, navigate to the CPUminer source code direcctory
      * You will likely get higher hashrates by forcing the compiler to build the executable for your
specific CPU architecture.  This is done by adding "-march=<value>" into the CFLAGS.  Those
values can be found at http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc/i386-and-x86_002d64-Options.html
           common choices for intel are : core2, corei7, corei7-avx
common choices for AMD are : athlon-fx
                       or -msse2,-msse3,-msse4,-mavx ...
      * Execute the following (replacing the value of -march with the value for your CPU type)
         ./autogen.sh
         ./configure --host=x86_64-w64-mingw32 CFLAGS="-O3 -march=core2"
         make
   Strip minerd.exe
      * In a command prompt, in the compilation directory, execute the following
         x86_64-w64-mingw32-strip minerd.exe
Combine the executables with the dependencies
      * copy minerd.exe, C:\MinGW64\bin\libcurl-4.dll, and C:\MinGW64\bin\pthreadGC2-w64.dll to the same directory

Mr. ig0tik3d some assistance please...

The current curl library is 7.32.0 but after I ./configure ... I make and get errors:
Assembler Message:
Local\Temp\ccdZNlvk.s:234: Error: expecting string instruction after *rep'
Local\Temp\ccdZNlvk.s:237: Error: expecting string instruction after *rep'
make[2]: *** [libcurl_la-hostip.lo] Error 1

make[1]: ***[all] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory */c/deps/curl-7.32.0/lib

What did I do wrong? Everything I try I get to libcurl and have problems... or in the one instance I got past those steps, I get multiple errors when I try to complete the miner build steps.

Sorry guys, I tried..I really did.

I did everything I could over the last few hours to compile the CPU miner into windows. It was a fight every step of the way, even with the instructions above.

I altered and changed at least a dozen things, every time getting closer to a complete compile.

The straw that broke the camels back:

When the compiler gave me errors referencing temporary files IT HAD ALREADY ERASED.

That it, I am done..

Good luck daemonfox, you are going to need it  Cheesy

         make
         make install
         cp /c/deps/curl-7.30.0/docs/libcurl/libcurl.m4 /c/mingw/share/aclocal/libcurl.m4
   Install pthreads
      * download pthreads-20100604.zip from http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw-w64/files/External%20binary%20packages%20%28Win64%20hosted%29/pthreads/ and put it in C:\deps\
      * unzip the file to c:\deps\
      * In the mingw64 subdirectory is pthreads-w64.zip - extract the contents to C:\MinGW64
In the MSYS shell, navigate to the CPUminer source code direcctory
      * You will likely get higher hashrates by forcing the compiler to build the executable for your
specific CPU architecture.  This is done by adding "-march=<value>" into the CFLAGS.  Those
values can be found at http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc/i386-and-x86_002d64-Options.html
           common choices for intel are : core2, corei7, corei7-avx
common choices for AMD are : athlon-fx
                       or -msse2,-msse3,-msse4,-mavx ...
      * Execute the following (replacing the value of -march with the value for your CPU type)
         ./autogen.sh
         ./configure --host=x86_64-w64-mingw32 CFLAGS="-O3 -march=core2"
         make
   Strip minerd.exe
      * In a command prompt, in the compilation directory, execute the following
         x86_64-w64-mingw32-strip minerd.exe
Combine the executables with the dependencies
      * copy minerd.exe, C:\MinGW64\bin\libcurl-4.dll, and C:\MinGW64\bin\pthreadGC2-w64.dll to the same directory

I am through most of this last night before I passed out at 2 AM.

OMW home now to finish my 32 bit attempt and then try this as well.

Thanks for the play by play.
