941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If a addict lives within, which method would you choose to help them on: January 30, 2024, 01:18:01 PM
I think in current times being soft is much better because at least that person can understand that whatever he is doing is not only going to harm him but his family as well. If you be rude to that person who's already an addict then you'll somehow hurt his ego and that's the worst thing someone can do with their own family members.

Just be gentle and tell them that gambling addiction is one of the worst type of addictions and it can destroy someone's life. Tell him that the same addiction has destroyed lives of many young people and it will certainly destroy your life as well. Empathy can somehow help such people.
942  Other / Meta / Re: The effect the mixer ban has had on the forum. on: January 30, 2024, 01:09:50 PM
Not all, Tumbler launched two weeks earlier on December 16th, just a few days after it ended here. So it's safe to say they're the oldest active campaign over there.
Yes, that's true Tumbler launched in month of December on that forum and after that other mixer campaigns also slowly started advertising on that forum.

A new mixer campaign which has never been part of Bitcoin has also launched their campaign on that forum recently. If I'm not wrong then they have launched their campaign from this week and that is managed by a superb campaign manager.

I think that forum is more like a haven to those services and I guess the users who still want to use those services will search for the decent ones on that forum from now on.
943  Other / Meta / Re: Should bitcointalk ban promotion of other forums? on: January 30, 2024, 01:02:28 PM
bitcointalk is still and will remain the father of all cryptocurrency forums
That statement is more than enough for those who try to promote hatred because Bitcointalk is the father of all crypto-currency forums and it will always be on top no matter if many new forums get traffic or users, they'll still consider Bitcointalk as superior.

The admin of that forum also mentioned in his comment that they won't compete with Bitcointalk and they also believe that Bitcointalk will always be on top as forum for Bitcoin and crypto-currency users. In fact if another forum is getting active because they're allowing advertising of mixers which isn't allowed here anymore then what's wrong with that?

I think those people who try to promote hatred like this should understand that Bitcointalk has always given priority to freedom of speech and it will always give high priority to it. In fact it's the only forum because of which many casinos and other businesses got their first users.

I have updated the signature to the newest one! The contest seems good to me!
945  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 29, 2024, 07:07:01 PM
Fuck Grayscale and the horse it rode in on.

Get your own BTC, hold your own keys and fuck these leaching morons.
Yeah, that's the right thing to do, I never trust the ETF thing and would never ever want those but the newbies who don't understand that how Bitcoin works and how to make their own personal wallets.

Ah, those people also get scared when they hear stories that how some centralized exchanges can get hacked. Those guys will trust GrayScale and other ETF providers. Who will tell them that by holding ETF they aren't holding Bitcoin themselves? I guess no one.
946  Other / Meta / Re: Should bitcointalk ban promotion of other forums? on: January 29, 2024, 04:53:08 PM
One more thing, it is not my problem. I just gave a suggestion to forum owner. He may see this thread, the responses from members here and take some action if necessary.
So you want the admin to take action against all those users who somehow promote other forums? Can you kindly tell me that which forum members of this forum are promoting? If I'm not wrong then most members of this forum have joined another forum for some reasons but none of those members are trying to promote that forum even that forum or its staff has never ever said anyone to promote their forum. Bitcointalk doesn't stop promotion of any service as far as I know and that's the main reason why most gambling sites promote their services on this forum.
947  Economy / Reputation / Re: Farewell on: January 29, 2024, 04:07:17 PM
I didn't "wish someone dead", I posted proof that o_e_l_e_o knew the accusations he was making were false.
Even if you know that the accusations he was making weren't right you should not post comments like that on his farewell thread. When he was present on this forum and no one was aware of his health issue then you could create a thread and come up with your accusations.

However, you have chosen a wrong thread to make those comments as his farewell message shocked the all members of the forum and no one even thought that something like that could happen to a doctor. I hope by now you might understand that whatever you said wasn't right especially in a thread like that.

Trust me your comment on that thread hurt the feelings of many members of the forum. We as humans should understand that sometimes our words in wrong occasions can hurt others feelings. I'm not sure what's with you or with o_e_l_e_o, but if must say that your comment wasn't right on that thread.
948  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buy ideas on: January 29, 2024, 03:58:23 PM
Yes, I also didn't understand this thread at all, If I'm not wrong then the OP was trying to say that each human has his own unique ideas which they can sell. That's how I got something about the thread other than that I didn't understand anything at all.

Are you trying to say that we need to buy someone's ideas or someone else might be interested in buying our ideas? It would be great if you can explain in detail that what's the main purpose of creating this thread and what you want to achieve with it.

When I use the term BUY, I'm relating to the exchange of pleasant ideas that means contributing in terms of advise and sharing of informations that will help improve our knowledge on certain fields.
Now, I think I understand what you were trying to say and I agree that it's better to hear others ideas and opinions when you're trying to learn something. I think that's the reason why Quora and Reddit receive huge traffic because everyone share their ideas about the things which others ask.

It's way better to hear others opinion and ideas than doing what you think is good for you or for your project, and that's why we see surveys a lot because the ones who conduct those surveys want to hear everyone opinion and they somehow pays the ones who participate in those surveys.
949  Other / Meta / Re: Email used to create this forum? on: January 29, 2024, 02:59:57 PM
This is often brought up by a certain troll. In my opinion, it doesn't matter: "the forum" is more than just the URL, it's the entire post database and it's users, and that database was transferred to a new domain name after satoshi's last post. The users moved too, and some of the old users are still active today.
Yes, If I'm not wrong then the forum was first moved to Forum.Bitcoin.org and then on Bitcointalk.org, a crawl of the old forum is available on WayBack machine on Archive.org and one can see that how the forum used to look back in 2010. Most of the members moved from both websites and finally settled down on this URL.

If I'm not wrong then Satoshi was part of this same forum but he wasn't present when the forum was shifted to Bitcointalk.org. The best thing is that all of the posts of Satoshi are present on this forum and that's more than enough for us.
950  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: January 29, 2024, 01:00:06 PM
If there is free money involved, you will always have people that want to cheat the system by making multiple accounts or doing something else. It is the same for all giveaways that casinos do and not easy to stop it or to detect everything.
Yes, in fact such people always try their best to cheat the systems when it comes to free money. The simplest way to cheat a system is to create multiple accounts and those cheaters know that thing and that's why they try their best to crease as many accounts as possible in order to cheat the system and earn some free money.

I think that's the main reason why casinos set wagering requirements for bonuses because a cheater can't complete the wagering requirements most of the times and end up losing instead of winning. Same rule is applied for giveaways in order to stop those cheaters.
951  Other / Meta / Re: Email used to create this forum? on: January 29, 2024, 10:40:13 AM
Does anyone know what email was used to create this forum?  BTC
Yes, the creator of the forum know that which e-mail address was used to create this forum. But, why do you want to know the e-mail that was used to create this forum? Are you into hacking or something, and you want to try your best to hack that e-mail so you can somehow manipulate the forum? Or you're asking this question out of curiosity.

I'm very sure that no one will tell you the e-mail of the forum even the ones who know it. If I'm not wrong then you're asking that which e-mail was used to register this domain name? If that's your question then you will again not get any answer due to the privacy concerns. That information isn't a public information and that's why it won't be shared.
952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin ETF Approval was a FOMO movement on: January 29, 2024, 09:53:07 AM
All of the Bitcoin enthusiasts were waiting for Bitcoin ETFs approval because they thought that Bitcoin will grow huge in value once the ETFs get approved by the SEC, and they weren't wrong because Bitcoin was trading at $46.5k to $47k values when those ETFs were approved and it even touched $48k value for short term. However, after a few days from the ETFs approval Bitcoin's price continue dropping again, and in 4th week of January Bitcoin's price dropped below $39k. Some people heavily invested in Bitcoin when its price was at $45k or above and now they regret about their investment decision. This thread is mainly for those people and for everyone else to learn from the mistakes that we make as investors and holders.

Well, I created this thread only to share some suggestions to those who invest in a coin when FOMO is very high. Most investors have anticipated that Bitcoin can reach $50k to $55k if the upward rally continues and those who were following such accumulated Bitcoin even when it's price was at $45k and above. Most of those newbie investors don't really understand that how crypto market works and that's why they regretted when Bitcoin's price dropped below $39k. Some of them have sold their Bitcoin holdings at loss in fear that they may lose more if Bitcoin's value drops below $35k while some still regret that why they have bought Bitcoin when it was pumping. They don't really understand what to do now because their PNL is negative within a few days and they get depressed when they see that negative PNL.

When a coin gets huge attention from everyone then it's value gets higher for short term due to FOMO but after a point when the coin can't grow more in value because most of the investors who bought it in hope to gain some profits in short term can't buy more of it, and the whales who have been holding it for sometime see no upward movement in market, then they start selling off their holdings which can cause drop in the value of a coin. When market is unable to move upwards anymore and buying orders reduce in number, then most of the investors or to be accurate whale investors place sell orders. When there are few buy orders and more sell orders then market won't move upwards and a few of those investors continue placing market sell orders which causes drop in the value of a coin. Those whale investors are already at profit during the selling of their holdings while the poor newbie investors are the ones who make bad investment decisions and face losses due to the fear.

In case of Bitcoin something similar happen this time, the market was moving upward but suddenly it started moving downward and those people who were holding Bitcoin for some time started selling their holdings in fear that the Bitcoin's price will drop to $35k or even below than that. I think most investors don't really understand that why Bitcoin's price dropped suddenly, and that's why most of them sold their Bitcoin holdings below $40k. I think this was simply a fear which caused the holders to sell off their holdings and the investors when saw opportunity again, they started placing buying orders. The Price of Bitcoin has since moved up to $42k after that crash and it's slowly moving upward once again. Those who sell off their Bitcoin holdings in fear should understand that sometimes the market can be manipulated by the huge sharks and whales and thus it's far better to keep holding your Bitcoin rather than selling it for a low value because of the fear.

Most of those newbie investors sell their holding due to the feat that they develop after reading online news sites or news on television. One should understand that the news isn't always accurate and most of the times it's the news that creates fear in the minds of investors and holders. It's better to read the news but don't follow it even if you see it's telling you something that's going to happen. The news is very manipulative and most people don't know that. That's why They sell in fear when they read a news report where a reporter says that Bitcoin's price was dropped and it can drop even further to blah, blah values. The weak hands when read such news reports or articles get even more scared and they try to sell their holdings as soon as possible to earn some profits or reduce further losses. They can't really see the whole picture because of the fear. They keep selling off their holdings and when the price moves upward again they regret that why they have sold their holdings. But, at that point they won't be able to do anything else other than regretting once again. I won't say that one should not read the news but it's better to read the news just to understand that what's happening in the market not to get scared of it and sell off in fear.

Bitcoin will surely reach it's ATH in this bull run and those who understand that will keep holding their Bitcoin even if they read 100's of such negative news articles. Make your mind that Bitcoin is going to grow huge in this bull run, aim for at least $80k to $100k at minimum if you really want to sell your holdings. Don't sell your Bitcoin anywhere below those values as it would be a very bad decision. Just read a few good speculation and prediction articles to understand that Bitcoin has potential to reach $80k to $100k or even more than that in this bull run. Just keep holding your Bitcoin even if it's value drops to $35k because within two years you'll be happy if you can hold your Bitcoin as it's value will most probably grow higher than our speculations and predictions. I would suggest holders to hold their Bitcoin for as long as possible to see some great profits from their holdings. Never ever sell off due to fear.

954  Economy / Gambling / Re: My betting strategies on: January 28, 2024, 05:43:42 PM
I have gone through this thread and skimmed most of the posts of it, I don't think that the strategy which OP shared is a good one or is something that others should do in their gambling session. OP seems to be out of the thread because I haven't see a reply from him, and whatever he tried to explain in the thread isn't 100% understandable.

My personal betting strategy is to first see the initial odds of a match and then wait and see how the team is performing with higher odds of winning and if they perform as predicted then I place bets in their favor but most of the times I avoid betting if the odds are in the favor of team but their performance in that match isn't good at all.

I give enough time to a match before placing my bets, I know the profits can be less with this type of betting but losses are also low. My main intention is always to gain at least 3-5% profit from the bets. Even with this strategy sometimes I face losses. It isn't a best strategy but I enjoy it that's why I still use it.
955  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetSteps365 | Thousands € profit | Current ROI: +14.72% | Sports Betting Signals on: January 28, 2024, 03:22:30 PM
What they are doing is eliminating the risk on their side by providing a service to help gamblers win. However, as I mentioned before, there's no guarantee of profitability, and it may result in deficits in the long run.
I think you're right, they're just providing this service to reduce some risks in order to help the gamblers who want to win but they have said in their own OP that the signals aren't 100% accurate in fact nothing can be 100% accurate when it's related to future. I also believe that in long-term a gambler might face losses instead of profits and that's why I would say that one should do his/her own research instead of doing something like that.
956  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: January 28, 2024, 03:15:04 PM
I found another interesting connection between 1xbit and 1xbet. Both sites advertise their mobile apps and ask you to download from the sites themselves instead of play store/app store in a similar manner. Don't download either app!

Also, it's crazy to think that a shady site like 1xbet partnered with FC freaking Barcelona which is news to me.
I think not only 1xbit or 1xbet but most of the casinos ask users to download their applications directly from the websites. The main reason for that thing is the policies of the Google PlayStore and Apple AppStore, they tend to block or delete gambling applications from their stores and that's why casinos offer to download their applications directly from their websites.

I agree with you that no one should ever download an application of a casino because those applications may come with malware and instead of helping out they could cause problems for the users. Like piebeyb suggested, it's way better to use browser to place some bets on the trusted sites rather than downloading their applications. Always try to avoid installing any application that's not available on Play Store for your own safety.

Fc Barcelona and 1xbet have been partners since 2019 I believe and they have built some strong bounds over those past years. 1xbet is getting some good audience from the partnership and FC Barcelona has get enough support for their teams by 1xbet. Surely, they will continue the partnership as it's beneficial for both of them.
957  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: January 28, 2024, 03:03:19 PM
So far I have never heard or known of doctor who advised patient to engage in gambling activities and of course doctor would only suggest more beneficial activity such as exercising, this would be very useful alternative activity.
That doctor might be a gambler himself and finds gambling activity as stress relieving activity for himself that's why he might be suggesting the patients to gamble in order to reduce stress. Wink

In real world prolong gambling can in fact increase someone's stress levels and that's why most people recommend to gamble within limits.

Some people who get addicted to gambling often spend countless hours to place bets and if the bets turn out to be losing ones then such people get addicted and even face more stress from the activity.

I would always say that gambling can be enjoyed as a fun activity but if someone basically gambles to earn money then that person really needs some good advice otherwise he can get addicted to it.
958  Other / Meta / Re: Use of AI on Bitcoin talk on: January 28, 2024, 09:18:39 AM
but the way AI detectors work is also sometimes not very reliable. If someone writes long and there are lots of prepositions or conjunctions such as [although, so, therefore, or something like that] then there is a big possibility that the content was detected as created by AI.
That's true the AI content detectors aren't much reliable to detect AI generated content and sometimes they detect human-written content also as AI generated content.

There have been many cases when genuine text has been detected as AI generated text by one AI text detector while it was detected as human generated content as other AI text detectors. However, those detectors can be helpful to some extent if you know how to use them but a few times they give fake results.

Original content created by one's own thoughts and ideas is much better than AI-generated content - so users should be able to avoid it for their own good.
I highly agree with you, the content that we write in which we share our own thoughts and ideas or opinion is much better than the content that's generated via those AI content generators like ChatGpt. Especially in a online forum use of such text generators is not a good practice.

Those who can't write in good English should improve their English by watching video lectures which are freely available on YouTube these days to improve their English writing. They should try their best to avoid fixing their English or English grammar with those AI content generators.
959  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most trusted casinos on BTalk on: January 28, 2024, 08:54:34 AM
Many casino are the same. Games are the same. Offers are the same. Just select the one that is more generous and dont violate the rules. That is it.
Yes, it's true that most of the casinos have some kind of partnership or they might be run by the same owners that run many other casino sites. But, the similarity of games can also be because of the gaming provider those casinos are using.

Most of the casinos run those already made games which they can easily avail with a gaming provider. In rare cases casinos make their in-house games and such games are very limited in number. There are only a few casinos that mostly focus on in-house games but traffic on such casinos is very limited.
960  Other / Off-topic / Re: [privacy] Apple admits to secretly giving governments push notification data on: January 27, 2024, 11:53:05 PM
Our phones are becoming a Surveillance tool...
Yes, it's 100% a true fact but we can't do much because we all are dependent on those phones and we can't live without those. People mostly love Apple iPhones but they don't really know that they are being watched from that phone and all their data is getting to the servers of Apple which they're sharing with government.

If Google is doing that, and Apple is doing that then whom we can trust? I heard that there's a Linux based smartphone named as Pine Phone, but I have never used that phone myself. I think that one is much safer than those Apple phones and Android phones. I heard it uses a Linux based distro which isn't Android. Do anyone use that Phone?
