SH: 21
However on komodoelection.com website there are only 29 candidates.

Yes, it can be done through the ICO site. We are working on that feature, and no date for its completion yet. However everything should be ready within 2 weeks. |

Nowhere. KMD will launch 2 weeks after the ICO. You can buy BTCD (list of markets: http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoindark/#markets) and swap it for KMD in 2 weeks.
Finally, how many notary nodes will be elected? Any news about the news letter subscription lottery? (I might have missed the answers to both my questions.) Thx. Notary node candidates
The deadline to become a candidate is next Sunday, November 27th 3PM UTC. The election will happen roughly one week from that, but no exact date for it yet. In newsletter #7 we said the following: When you redeem your KMD after the ICO, you will have to vote. In other words the first voting process is embedded to our ICO. After the notary nodes have been selected the network will officially launch and we distribute the coins. There will be enough time reserved for the voting, that even the BTCD investors get a chance to do the swap and vote.
What about the next election?
If you have paid attention, you have noticed that we haven't talked about the other elections at all... that is because the election process beyond the initial one is still wide open.
We won't make any decision until later, as this is not the development priority. However we have speculated about different possibilities, and the most prominent one is to have periodical elections where some of the candidates are voted out for a re-election. This would drop out the bottom performers and incentivise the notary nodes to perform.
A warning to notary node operators
If you are thinking about setting up a notary node, there are some financial risks involved. There are two issues, 1) no one can guarantee you will get elected, 2) the final notary node number depends on our budget
We are planning to add a field for percentage of subsidy required. That means that each notary node candidate can decide how much guaranteed subsidy they require per node.
There are four regions and within each region, there is a separate election. With each KMD you can vote once in each region. In other words, we could simply say 1 KMD = 1 vote on each region. There are 100M KMD, so each region will get 100M votes. We will do an election guide, where we explain how the election process goes in detail. I'm particularly interested in the time period between elections, will there be a caretaker period to allow continuity so the network always has 64 nodes? When a node operator loses an election they will shutdown their node, but a new node operator might not have their server setup and paid for yet, so it makes sense to let the previous node continue until the new node is ready

I don't find it fair at all. Not only btc investors we are swallowing all the worthless btcd at overprice, but if for example 20 or 25% of btcd isn't claimed for whatever reasons ( i guess small alt coins have big % of lost coins,etc.. ), we get our stake diluted as if they existed. We stay loyal to our past investors and community, thus there was a BTCD swap. Everything was transparent, and we did have an ICO calculator for this. Considering the scale of our project the MC is not that big, but of course everyone has their own estimation/opinion. I just hope there is no shady deal done, the valuation of BTCD is high, but there is nothing we can do now, but my calculation is different from your, I invested 1BTC and given 8250KMD at 10% bonus 1.1BTC=8250KMD so 1KMD= 0.0001333BTC as compared to 0.000129BTC Please this may be same in 1KMD terms it is a big deal for large investors. I'm sorry, it was a quick calculation done by me right after the ICO ended. Our team will recalculate everything, and we will officially announce the exact rate later.

What do you mean with there was a BTCD swap? According to the FAQ on Komodo Platform website, the swap will be started two weeks after ICO ends and thus it starts on 4th December. Yes, you are correct, the swap has not begun yet. |

How can you do it without knowing how many users will convert?
What happens with non claimed funds, specially if its a big %?
Id like to see proof of conversion too in btcd.
