Manchester City performed very disappointed in 2nd leg game and found only 1 goal there. Monaco was not favorite to win this match but they managed and played with wonderful game strategy and now have into next round.
City was unlucky with the injuries of G.Jesus and Gundogan, they are the ones that suits Pep's style the most and most likely to make a difference. City could've gone far in both CL and PL with them. Meanwhile the Sterling, Stones, Fernandinho are one trick pony and don't suit the tactical diversity gameplay of him. But Pep is also at fault for his decision. Stones, Sagna, Clichy, Otamendi, Kolarov are awful defenders, some due to their ages and he didn't reinforce the defense properly. But props to Monaco, they deserved to go through and they bring much more excitement to the tournament than City. The youth, the energy, the paces, the young guns are all remarkable! Hope they can go far this year. I was not surprised to see the final result in this match, in which I think performance M.City is very unstable and the entry of pep to coach M.city still not visible.
