Manchester City have bought 2 players this season, That's Haaland and Kalvin Phillips. While one of the others was brought in for free from Arminia Bielefeld and the rest were players who had ended their loan period. So with this I don't expect much change in the Manchester City squad even though 4 important players are move out to other team.

Another interesting thing is that Newcastle, who were bought by rich people last season, didn't spend a lot of money in the market, they only bought a few players, and even then they weren't stars. Is that a form of prudence?
Actually, in this case I can say that Julian Alvarez is also a new player because even though he was bought last January, he was immediately loaned without playing at City and only made his debut at this time, specifically against Club America in their friendly match.
As for those who leave City like Sterling or Gabriel, they are not really needed now, especially for the attack line, considering that with Haaland there is a clear chance for Gabriel to lose and City are not too bothered by that.

Barca are just forcing things up and nothing else. Regarding loan move, I think it depends if United are up for loan move and for salary also. From look of things, United wants permanent move and they can force Barca here to back off from sending De Jong on loan or they can disagree from covering the salary also. With recent Barca antics, I highly doubt their financial problem and I think they still can manage to sign players.
Is this another cuteness from Barcelona. They always make something interesting in this transfer window because so far they have been quite successful in tugging at the conversation about their players, especially those who want to leave.
I think it is very likely that until the transfer window is closed, De Jong will not go anywhere because there has been a lot of drama there.

I don’t think that Pogba will be able to help Juventus, because he’s out injured and now Juventus will have to search for his replacement.

Paul Pogba have been injury on pre season training match when Juventus against with Barcelona, I think he got long time injury and ability missing World Cup 2022 in Qatar. Before World Cup held have about 16 match and actually will make Juventus without Paul Pogba few weeks on Serie A and UEFA Champion League stage group. I think bad without Paul Pogba reach scudetto for Juventus and actually really need to find new replacement for Pogba.
True, he is now in danger of missing the World Cup due to the problem he is having with his knee at the moment.
At least an estimated 3 months there he will have to pull over and even then if their plan goes well.
This is clearly a loss that is still very much felt because Pogba himself is expected to be one of the parts that lift Juventus now especially in midfield but with his injury now then that hope must be postponed until he is fully healed.
944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 28, 2022, 09:05:35 PM
yep, that seems to have been confirmed and there is indeed a lateral meniscus damage in his knee which even though he had surgery but obviously took months to heal.
It looks like their intention to bring out a few midfielders now has to stop because this injury is clearly very unfortunate and they still need other players to fill the gap for Pogba temporarily.
They are looking to bring in Saul from Atletico Madrid on loan in a precautionary move. Just in case Pogba is out of play due to injury for a long time. Should be a good replacement to be honest if the deal goes through.
Maybe this will be very beneficial to both parties if this is true because if we look at the fact that Saul has also been offered to Rome even though the agreement did not happen there. He's not in his best form at the moment and this season he's only played 10 games with Chelsea so indeed I still feel even if it's a win-win but it's still a risk.
945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 27, 2022, 05:07:49 PM
Has pogba already confirmed it? I saw that if he has not yet meet with the specialist to see the condition of his knee. It's sad to see that happened, he will be missing the pre season in dallas. So far pogba was always facing various problem even when he was at the machester united as well.

he has not back in turin. i didn't see any confirmation about he will be doing surgery. I hope that he can recover from his injury before the serie a will be started.
I think have been confirmed yet with Paul Pogba got injury and need about one until two month back to the field, actually he can make debut with Juventus on pre season match against with Barcelona and match result draw 2-2. Little problem when Paul Pogba got injury and he miss opportunity make debut with Juventus and need waiting more than one or two months later, maybe he will miss few match with Juventus on Serie A because domestic league will begin on 16th Augustus where Juventus away against with Sassulo, but if he can get fast recovery have ability for Paul Pogba come back early and make debut for Juventus on next season.

In my opinion, Cristiano Ronaldo deserves better but at this time most of the teams are rejecting. May be high salary is the main reason. Teams which are playing UCL, there is a small chance to get huge playing time because there has good players already. I think he will stay in Manchester United.

Unless there is some strong interest from clubs, he will stay. It is hard for clubs to go for Ronaldo given his salary and most top clubs already have striker they are satisfied. I can see why Ronaldo wants to move away from the club but it is likely that he has to make do with United this season. So far Atletico and Bayern were reported to be interested but both club's representatives shut down those rumours.
I'm not even sure about the Bayern rumors there. As for Atlético there may still be rumors but as you said, salary issues are still one of the factors that make it difficult for Atléltico to sign Ronaldo, especially with some who don't like him and some of the problems he's been through obviously complicate even though Atletico want Ronaldo.
947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 27, 2022, 01:23:53 PM
There are rumors about Christiano Ronaldo joining Atletico Madrid, but the Atletico fans don't want him, so they have started a petition on Twitter. Grin I totally understand them. Ronaldo scored lots of goals against Atletico in the past. He's not the player he used to be, so he can't be a leader or a top scorer anymore.

I suggest you not to be very sure of that.  Grin  He is aging and getting really old when we consider this sport. However Ronaldo still can be really effective at the team he goes to. I think that Manchester United are a very good example for this. He scored 24 goals in 37 games in total last season. This is really striking statistics for a 37-year-old striker I mean. He is still in a very solid shape physically as well. If he returns to the La Liga, I'm pretty sure that he can contribute more than Suarez's last season performance for Atletico Madrid.
Agree with what you said, Ronaldo's performance at the age of 37 can be considered one of the most striking at this time and it is not wrong if he is sometimes called a football robot in my country.
But the thing is I'm still not too sure of him at Atletico, Despite the rumors that have existed until now I still can't imagine this will happen.

Juventus have bid for Roberto Firmino and are waiting for Liverpool's response. The bid is said to be about 23 mil euros and the ball is in Liverpool's court on whether they'd like to sell Firmino for that price or keep him for another season.
Quite an interesting offer, but in this case I am still quite doubtful Liverpool will let him go at this price because indeed some time ago also a club from Turkey, namely Fenerbache, had submitted a proposal for this player and it was rejected by Liverpool.
But it's a pretty good offer although I still feel they should raise the price again because for sure Liverpool won't let him go if it's less than 30 million.
The fee is low because Firmino is in the final year of his contract. To be honest, for that reason alone, I think its a pretty attractive bid to land Firmino. If Liverpool don't agree but the player is willing. Juventus could just wait until the winter transfer season and bid a lower amount or just get him for free next season. They probably rejected Fenerbache partly because Firmino might not be interested in going to Turkey at this point in his career. He's still got a few years left in him.
Still this will only be an offer that Liverpool will refuse because even if he is under contract in his last season at Liverpool I don't think he will issue him with a contract that is still said to be low for now especially they also definitely need him to be able to compete or at least make rotations in the crowd next season's schedule.

If Ronaldo wants to join Atlético Madrid, I would say it will be one of the worst decisions of Ronaldo's career. Ronaldo is leaving United to play in the Champions League. But if he joins Atletico Madrid, maybe he can play in the Champions League, but not win the title. Atletico Madrid will sell Morata and Griezmann to sign Ronaldo. And so the entire team will depend on Ronaldo's performance. It is foolish to dream of winning the Champions League solely on Ronaldo.

Unfortunately, the club's wishes don't seem to match the Atletico Madrid fans. Currently, Twitter is buzzing with the hashtag #ContraCR7. If fans don't agree with Ronaldo's arrival, maybe this transfer process will stopped.

On the other hand, Manchester United is rumored to provide conditions to Ronaldo if he wants to leave Manchester United this season.
1. He can only out with Loan status, meaning MU will not release him on a permanent basis.
2. He must be willing to extend his contract with Manchester United after returning from loan period.

Such, complicated Tongue
Things like this will definitely be thought about again by Ronaldo because indeed this will be very complicated.
Forget about extending the contract there, because indeed leaving there on loan will also be very difficult in my opinion for Ronaldo, especially if the rejection from Atletico fans will be one of the problems that might become serious in the future.
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 25, 2022, 07:02:16 PM
If we look at the current case, Suarez is not meant for that because he is being looked at because the transfer window is getting closer and they have to find a striker as soon as possible given Haller's unexpected condition.
Suarez's purchase is not to find hidden talent but to fill the position left by Haller for a while because it is certain that they will not allow the club to compete without a striker there.
He is the best option , he will also happy to play at dortmund as he knew that he is going to be the key player in front , noone comes near him as the best striker available in the transfer market now , dortmund must make a move soon before it's too late.

Dortmund can't rely on the young talent to fight for the title next season.
But the news about him going to Dortmund has now disappeared and is no longer from and this is one of those things that is hard to confirm right now.
Indeed in this case it is actually like a symbiotic mutualism for Suarez and Dortmund if this works, but when the news is gone now it is still a gray matter whether he will indeed go to the Bundesliga or will he not get a club that can be said to be famous until the end of the transfer window.

https://www.espn.co.uk/football/barcelona-espbarcelona/story/4706027/lionel-messis-chapter-at-barcelona-not-over-president-joan-laporta

Interesting news... Laporta said that their door is still open for Messi now. Honestly I haven't had such expectation from Barcelona to sign him back from now on. Because Xavi is building a brand new team now and I thought that he wouldn't like to change the whole plan by signing Messi. In the end Messi would need to be the target man again like in the old times and this would break everything. If Xavi continues to be successful with his system then it would be better not to have Messi back.
I just want to laugh here. Do they want to destroy Barcelona from the inside again now.
Are they not aware that the presence of some expensive players will also affect their salary expenses.
Bringing Messi back is like having to give up some of the big players in terms of salaries and in terms of transfers there to be sacrifices, but with Barcelona's current state whether they want to do that, it's too much if they don't remember when it was the salaries of players that ruined them. .
953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: July 24, 2022, 11:18:45 PM

Yes, I agree with you there. Dortmund are a brilliant team in terms of business, the management know what they are doing. After all, Haaland is not the only player who became a young star in this team and was sold for many times more than he was bought. You can't do that with Suarez, unfortunately. So I even wonder who they will buy instead of Haaland

It is really hard to be confident about any team for next season actually. Because nearly all of the big teams in the league have made good moves so far. I would like to see a different team joining the championship race this time honestly. Maybe it seems really difficult while Manchester City and Liverpool are this much strong. But it isn't impossible. The key point is being consistent. When it comes to a team that could make it happen I'm thinking of Manchester United. Because I really wonder what they will do with Erik ten Hag.
Did Man United really made a good move for keeping Harry Maguire? I personally do not think he's that great of a centre-back and he will probably become their weakest link for next season but we shall see. I can see the Spurs as more of a threat to City and Liverpool's title run than MU.
In this case, there are indeed some things that seem a little forced by Ten Hag, especially if you look at Maguire's condition in terms of last season's performance, this clearly gives Maguire a not-so-good stigma.
But I really don't know why when it comes to linking Maguire from the Ole Era until now Maguire is still being defended even though his performance is often not good and tends to make mistakes but the coach still believes in him.

One of the best teams in the English Premier League is Manchester United. I think since Cristiano Ronaldo rejoined Manchester United, their team has become stronger. We all already know that Manchester United is a very strong and balanced team Since Ronaldo recently joined the club, Manchester United are in my opinion one of the best favorites in the Premier League.
One of the best Manchester United teams (A few seasons ago) Cheesy
Now they are in a not so good form after the Fergie era they are often even below the ideal position for the best team in the Premier League.
They need to change this as soon as possible so that their best player title doesn't sound like a joke because if I look at them they are more of a clown than a football club for this season.
It is already sounding like a joke from all indications. Christiano Ronaldo did his best last season but had little or no quality team play from his team mates. The overall performance for united last season was poor and underrated, except Ten Hag proves he is fit for the job else united been the best club in the premier league ended  with Sir Fergie
We know the capacity of a Ronaldo and he always appears all out but indeed the game is not only enough for 1 person because it requires 11 players there and Ronaldo alone will not be able to bring Manchester United so it seems funny when Ronaldo tries to die - desperately to score goals but their defenders instead give goals to the opponent for free.

It would be very good if they came out of their delusions and didn't think they were big now because with this they could realize that they still lack a lot and need to change their performance to become a team that can be said to be big and experience the golden era again.

Arsenal is on its way to becoming a small Manchester City. They bought Oleksandr Zinchenko for £32 million. The contract was signed until 2026.
Arteta collects Pep's stars one by one. They have a very good squad this season. Now the goal should be the championship, not the top 4. In order to bring color to the league, other than the two clubs (City-Lpool) must be in the race.
only 2 players they bring will it be City? Luckily Chelsea couldn't bring Ake to the Stampord Bridge because if they could bring Ake too you would probably say Cehsea is a small version of City lol.

With only 2 players it can't be said to be a mini version because this is only a small part.
958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: July 22, 2022, 07:07:30 PM
Is that so? Well, if that's the case then I think GGG will just have to pick one belt that he would keep and just let the WBA strip him up because that fight against Lara will not amount for at least one-fourth compared to what he could get on this upcoming trilogy. Fact is that Gennady Golovkin will receive at least $43 Million (Salary and PPV included) total purse from this trilogy versus Canelo Alvarez.

Win or lose, GGG must rest after this fight because he didn't had enough time to rest himself and recover from that match against Murata because he had to train again against Canelo afterwards.

Agreed. He is 40 years old and I don't think that he will participate in more than 2-3 fights after the trilogy fight against Canelo. And therefore he needs to pick his opponent carefully. I am not saying that Erislandy Lara doesn't have any quality. But in the end, it is money that matters. If Golovkin feels that this particular fight is not rewarding enough, then he will definitely skip it. And at this point, most probably he doesn't give any attention to the different belts. In the unlikely scenario of Golovkin winning the trilogy fight, we can't rule out a fourth fight between these two boxers.
It's up to GGG now whether he really wants to take the risk with his current age to keep making some fights although it will be very difficult because it's rare at an old age that boxers can win. Or do you want to find something safe for yourself. I don't think the safe-seeking option is a bad thing although there will be some perceived cowardice but it's better than continuing to fight without certainty for win.

Well i didnt expect Dani Alves to stay for such a little time in Barcelona. I dont know why Barcelona even signed him again it was just a waste of money and now he moves to Mexico to play football and most of us never heard about this club before

I think he himself didn't thought that he will be staying for a little time there. Dani Alves signed a contract till the summer and Barca didn't provided him contract extension when it reached its end. It was clear that he will leave. Maybe Barca thought they didn't need him anymore.
He came back because Barcelona needed him but now he will be dumped again when Barcelona no longer need his help.
The irony is quite difficult to accept for me at the moment, although this is indeed very reasonable because with Barcelona's current condition it is indeed difficult for them to keep players who are not needed because this is tantamount to charging their salaries again.
960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 22, 2022, 05:00:17 PM
I think Lazio played very poorly last season and if they want to buy an almost old player, it won't add to their comfort level. Marcelo is not a Ronaldo or even Ibrahimovic level player. It's not a player of that high calibre, although with the national team and Real Madrid he has achieved victories. But this time his transition looks like a relegation because of his age.

Maybe another two or three years he can certainly still play in Serie A. Physically indeed he has begun to diminish but his experience will help Lazio, if this transfer is true. Lazio certainly need him to improve his strengths and certainly play in Europe. He just keeps trying to keep his physical strength so he can continue to have a regular place at Lazio. He has played alongside Madrid for almost 15 years. Of course he has had many titles with madrid.
In this case it would obviously be an advantage for Lazio if they could bring in Marcelo but it seems that the news has now been broken also by Lolito who said that this is not true, but in this case actually I also saw several clubs who wanted his services like Marseille and Roma as well reportedly wants Marcelo's services
