941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending bitcoin without the miner fees ! on: July 03, 2017, 08:06:35 AM
your transaction will either return after 72 hours if in the mempool, or it will remain stuck there forgotten, and you can do some trick to have it back like

abandon transaction or if you are in prune mode and you get the abandon transaction greyed out, you can do this one

942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Securing your wallet on: July 03, 2017, 08:00:43 AM
there is no secret, there is only simple way to do it, either you do it with a simple usb stick and put the wallet there, or you buy a trezor and secure your private key, or you can also use your brain and memorize the private key

this last method is a bit risky if you forgot the private key you are fucked, but it leave no trace outside, in case someone want to rob your trezor and force you to reveal the private key in some violent way
943  Economy / Economics / Re: Consequences of mining pool controlled by a single country? on: July 02, 2017, 10:30:06 AM
miners will not destroy their own business, in fact this already happened in the past with a pool contorlling 51% of the hash, but they just shifted the hashrate to other pool and everythign resolved

chinese also know this, and it's the reason why there are many big pool in china that have a levelled hashrate
944  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is bitpay wallet SegWit ready? on: July 02, 2017, 10:27:08 AM
the second part of segwit will not happen for sure, the only part that will happen is the first one which is segwit

exchange and vendors have already stated that, i found this, which should be interesting to read https://cryptoinsider.com/bitpay-working-alternatives-bitcoins-lightning-network-dont-require-segwit/
945  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: AntMiner S10? on: July 02, 2017, 07:17:40 AM
can't be this year intel is still at 14nm, and until intel go to 10nm, no other one will have more advanced nano processing then them, so this year is most likely to be there with the s9 which is still not bad

making an s10 with the same efficiency is also stupid, i can't see the point, maybe they can do a s9+, there was a rumors about that, liek they did for the l3, a small little version for casual miners
946  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How to make 1 bitcoin in a month or 2? on: July 02, 2017, 07:12:30 AM
invest in a ico, easy money ineeded, the value always go higher than the entry level price, after the coin hit the exchange

i'm targetting this new ico, Tezos, look very promising, with a big crowfunding already, investing 0.1 here can guarantee you at least 1 btc easily

they have already a 300M capital without even finishing the ico, 1Billion is possible
947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin cannot drop in price on: July 02, 2017, 07:05:59 AM
Bitcoin is at the top of cryptocurrencies simply because it has managed to attract the biggest amount of fiat (dollars, euro, etc) compared to other currencies.
no not at all.
bitcoin is on top because it is the most secure and the most decentralized cryptocurrency. it has the best developers team which kept the code good and powerful and it is the most reviewed code out there.
then it attracted a lot of real usage as a currency by lots of merchants.
then it attracted a lot of fiat no the other way around

I think the real usage of Bitcoin as a means of payment is inconsequential at best

Since most of Bitcoin value comes via speculation (i.e. "those who see bitcoin as a "cash cow" to milk for more money"). You personally may not not quite like it (I certainly understand your pains), but your dislike can't change anything in this department. That's why I said that we should cut the crap and face the facts in the first place. Apart from that, I can't possibly agree that Bitcoin is "the most secure and the most decentralized cryptocurrency" out there. If you disagree with this, namely, that Bitcoin today cannot be considered as safe and decentralized, then "there is no point even arguing with you". In fact, by "some other coin" I meant Litecoin as the most likely candidate to take Bitcoin's place if the latter fails to scale up properly (I changed my post to reflect that)

this might be true in the past but with japan adoption, there is a real usage now for bitcoin, much more than before

and it was make bitcoin different than other pure speculative currency, all the other currency don't have merchants support, they are there just for pump and dump at the moment
948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a great innovation but the fear is prominent and so deadly! on: July 02, 2017, 07:00:53 AM
there is indeed some confusion here, first you just store your bitcoin in  cold storage, so no hack is possible

second the government can't shut down anything about bitcoin, bitcoin is decentralized, at best if all government work together they might hinder bitoin adoption

third don't deal with sellers withotu escrow, or use service like purseio or caseking that have escrow
949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Japan Ends 8% Consumption Tax On Bitcoin Today on: July 02, 2017, 06:54:48 AM
this is pretty much like other country are doing, i see that in italy also there is an exemption of bitcoin in taxation for now, you can trade as much as you want and don't pay anything

it's exempt from capital gain here if you don't go above a certain threshold, 51k in a week
950  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Keep your fiat at hand in order to buy new bitcoin on: July 01, 2017, 01:44:44 PM
i don't buy bitcoin i like to mien them via altcoin, but my sepa usually is done in on 8 hours, if i send in the morning or the next day if i send after 10:00 am

which is pretty fast, therefore i don't feel the need to have money on the exchange ready for trading
951  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Hi! I want to Mine can you help with my due diligence? on: July 01, 2017, 07:09:55 AM
you have profit with that electricity, just use the calculator, it's not difficult, one antminer can currently roi in 7 months with that electricity or even 6

assuming that diff will double in 6 months and triple in 1 year, like the last year, you need more than 1 year to roi, which could be bad

but you can always sell your gear, the s9 is still the best miners, should be easy to resell
952  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price after 1 August - Down 50% on: July 01, 2017, 07:04:43 AM
investors aren't stupid, think about this, if the value were to go down by 50% they would not have bought all the way up to the current value

because they knew already about the segwit2x activation before this last pump, this mean that the value will likely increase more than decrease

your prediction doesn't make sense, and it's not in line with the resistance we have under $2k on the current market
953  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else think "long term" hodlers are idiots? on: July 01, 2017, 06:54:20 AM
try asking that question to someone who long term held from 2011/12 until now. they would laugh in your face and then probably spit in it too.

Yeah, missing 2 obvious dips and buying opportunities. Ever heard about "opportunity cost"  - yeah, taht is what you get for being stupid and not seeing obvious DIPS

what you are saying doesn't make sense, because by your logic the same person also missed, fortunately, the opportunity to lose more than two time if he was to trade like you want him to do

by just holding with bitcoin you will ensure a big profit in the futurte, just by waiting the value to increase, and the value will increase
954  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are declining stock markets good or bad for Bitcoin? on: July 01, 2017, 05:43:12 AM
as it is now bitcoin follow its own pattern, because until all the issue are fixed, the value will not accelerate regardless of what is happening outside of this world, in the forex or stocks world

all those things can only help the bitcoin value to grow but only after the important problems are solved, however we might get the standard pump and dump like has happened with grexit and all the other financial news regarding the "fiat money"
955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to effectively store large number of Bitcoins? on: July 01, 2017, 05:41:04 AM
Speaking solely in terms of security, you can store them all in a single address, however you should spend the entire "balance" in each address you are spending from and use change addresses when you need to spend less than the entire balance in an address you are spending from.

Great, great suggestion. This practice ensures that one can't trace payments to the address from another source AND allows you to claim the transaction was for a payment to someone else (rather than yourself).

The concern is that any address you receive payments to regularly can be linked back to you, because presumably the entity sending you the Bitcoin knows you and your address.

What may be an accounting challenge for you is a small price to pay to ensure your bitcoin balance is as safe as possible. You can't put a price on that kind of security.

which is why is better to have multiple wallet, which make impossible to link the address and you can spend freely your bitcoin as you want

i like to have multiple wallet stored in a multiple usb stick, i find it the most easy and secure choice for my usage

also with multiple wallet you can spend few amount at time without worrying about your coin that might be stolen, because at best they stole only the little amount in that wallet you loaded
956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens after SegWit2x? on: July 01, 2017, 05:35:51 AM
It's sort of a game of chicken. Many people say that there will be a hard fork but the miners have a lot to lose if they hard fork and people don't go with it. I actually think it's likely that there will be two Bitcoins and that the more decentralized one will win.

there can't be 2 bitcoin fork, there will be always one that will prevail over the other, and other will be considered an altcoin immediately

if segwit2x will not continue with the hard fork of 2mb, then wasn't just better to do the standard segwit? i can't see the point of the 2mb, if none agree to HF
957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ccminer 2.0 - opensource - GPL (tpruvot) on: June 30, 2017, 09:59:44 AM
what next ? do you want money to use my code/miner ? sigh

i don't know why you are so offensive, but it was just a question, you guys need to chill out more or maybe i need to add some emoticon
958  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sold on: June 30, 2017, 08:03:39 AM
I sold about 10% of my stash. I'm not sure whether the bubble has burst or not, but I decided I'll take some profit (bought at sub $100). We might see $5000 or $10000 in the next few days, but I'm pretty sure the price will go down to $1500 (or even lower) at some point in the next few months or next year, and that's when I'll buy more. If that doesn't happen then it's fine, I'll invest in something else.

What do you think of my decision?

I'm really fascinated by the people who managed to keep their coins for so long

Thus if you really had bought them at prices below 100 dollars, then you should have booked really nice profits provided you didn't buy dust (though this is unlikely given the price). Profits are telling more than words ("when money talks, bullshit walks"), and many people should in fact envy you. I don't know if you really want to hear anyone's opinion on this, but 10% is not a big deal anyway. I would have certainly sold more (if not all at these prices) and put a fraction of the proceeds into Litecoin

it's not that hard to hold, i'm also holding since 4 years already, basically from when i joined this forum i never dumped if not forced, i use bitcoin like a currency and keep the big amount on cold storage

when the time come the famous meme, tell you also that there will be no reason to sell anyway, bitcoin is a currency use it like fiat, i use it all the time to buy food or other stuff on purse.io with a nice discount
959  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will be back in $1,000 ? on: June 30, 2017, 08:00:51 AM
anyone believing that a huge drop like this one could ever happen did not understand at all what adoption is, and why the current value is so high

bitcoin in japan is like fiat now, they are using it like legal currency, and there is no going back to this, this situation can only get better from now

the value reflect that, there is no way that we are falling under 2k anymore let alone 1k, just a delusional dream
960  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] | 🔥 Bitmixer.io Signature Campaign 🔥 | Earn up to 0.035 BTC/week on: June 30, 2017, 07:56:38 AM
I suddenly see that the bot has set my posts to 0 (zero) for some reason. Is it from the side of Bitmixer or have old threads been deleted? I personally hint at the latter, but I just ask anyway.
I see 7 people with a negative post count out of >100 members. It may be that some threads (bigger ones) got trashed. I don't know other people's post count and would not notice this drop (unless it happened to myself), thus I can't really answer that question.

oh so that what happened, the earning this week was so low, i wasn't understanding why, still strange because i don't post many post in the same thread, but i lost something like 50% of my post this last week

now the bot is counting one more post than what i have made, the bot should not count post that are not paid anyway...
