9401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google Trends: a big rise in interest in bitcoin specially in Africa on: January 05, 2017, 11:15:09 AM
Google trends for the past year: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=today%2012-m&q=Bitcoin
and past 3 months: https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=today%203-m&q=Bitcoin
both show a big rise in interest in bitcoin and surprisingly the top leading regions are from Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa)

That's strange but not totally surprising, Africa economy is decent and Bitcoin offers a high growth compared to their currency. Secondly betting is legalized in Africa, so it could be used for betting purposes, as the person who bets shall never come to know. I mean a outside person using African as a proxy and wiring the money, and people won't doubt also as it's legal, and thanks to Bitcoin identity won't be revealed. That's my guess on this so far.
9402  Economy / Services / Re: [LOGO Contest] Logo design, price 0.05 btc and up on: January 05, 2017, 03:38:06 AM
Hi kindly find my entry in your competition, I have choosen dark colors and not shiny colors. The reason is shiny and light colors often fade away when you see it first time. But dark colors normally have that impact of making a customer go wow. My tag line I have choosen as only one place for your vision, indicates that you are the no one for your industry. It's simple, easy and not to complicate to remember. A logo always should be easy and simple to see and read. I hope you like my design. Due to lack of time, I am able to submit a rough draft, if you like will make a better one as per your needs.

9403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the last 24 hours on: January 04, 2017, 04:53:40 PM
This was bound to happen, it's about time that bitcoin gets the due recognition. Bitcoin price has just been rising and rising. Most of the currencies has flattened out, and are looking at Low long term. Btc is providing stability and assurances to people that people need. The world is waking up to the power of btc, so it's about time that they get published, it's only a matter of time that governments to start speaking on it.
9404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Extreme Dangers of Cashless Society on: January 04, 2017, 03:50:06 PM
So it's 2030, all paper currencies are banned, there is only 1 global currency that is electronic only called The Phoenix

The Phoenix is centrally controlled by a Global Central Bank, and you can only use it via your bank account or by some specially regulated payment processors. You can spend it via your Phone, Bank Card, or from a Chip Implanted under your Skin.

  • Johnny said something bad about the banks in an online forum, so his account is now suspended for 30 days as a punishment. Now he can't buy food, and will starve to death.
  • Paula has criticized the government so her income tax rate has doubled for 1 year as a punishment which will directly and automatically be levied from her bank account as soon as she gets her salary
  • Samuel is organizing a protest against the abusive behavior of the banks. His bank account, and all his family's account are now permanently suspended. Now they are cut off from the world economy since every merchant and every trade is happening inside the electronic banking system, and they will all starve to death.
  • Rachel is talking to her friends about the many starving people who had committed these thought crimes, and as a result they are all cutoff from the economy. Now she and all her friends are punished as well. Everybody who is in contact with thought criminals are punished, so that people will self-censor each other. Big Brother loves this

What do you think about the scenario described above? I don't think it's an exaggeration of the future that comes.

How will Bitcoin play a role in this to stop this madness, and avoid an Orwellian New World Order.

You seem to be in India and you are upset with the cash being withdrawn and I won't say you are wrong to be worried about cashless risks, there is a major risk, cause they are not secured, while Bitcoin is decentralised and secured, it can't be controlled by any one or manipulated by any one. It's the best bet buy it and live a happy go life
9405  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Action-gamble.com 0.0005btc Giveaway on: January 04, 2017, 02:36:52 PM

9406  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: January 04, 2017, 01:21:34 PM
New campaign has been appeared on the services section. The campaign is from orocoin. The thread is here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1738572.0 .

After completing the selection they have locked the thread which I think is not favorable.

As far as I can see the thread is not locked, this looks another self moderated thread users should be careful. Plus there's no mention of escrow of funds. For me it's difficult though my rank is not supported, but no escrow and campaign manager makes me not keen to recommend but let's see how it goes for the users in the future. Would suggest people to ask for escrow or wait until some one gets paid, and they should answer why It was locked and now unlocked.

1: They locked thread first. but again unlocked for discussion purpose.
2: You must missed something. they are supporting Member Ranked users..
3: about escrow you are right. they don't have escrow and I saw when someone wasked about escrow they replied him that if he want escrow he can PM him.. lol.. looks like they'll use escrow for everyone individually if everyone ask. (means they don't even know how signature campaign escrows works)

Escrow?

PM me or Camosoul if you want to use escrow. Thanks.

Ohh yaa, slipped it but wait a second did you check their rates that's 0.70 cents per post. What I can make in one month of signature campaign, I can make in a week there. In this high prices of btc how are they able to sustain it. I think this are the highest rates paid for members, it's tempting me no doubt but the individual escrow part is not enough for me till they actually do it. Will keep a watch for the future, till then I would suggest existing campaigners to wait. To Early to leave and join that campaign.
9407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you can control your self when playing gambling? on: January 04, 2017, 01:15:54 PM
Ask a gambler this is like asking a smoker how does he stops smoking when he has a cigerate in his hand. It's very difficult to stop gambling not that easy. I normally give my money away to my friends in the Casinos to make sure I don't spend much. But now this online casinos tempt me so much, but thanks to the fact they require money, I can stay in my limit other wise I would have gone bankrupt by now. The only advice I can say is tie your money down, don't keep it loose no other way.

Wello hello guyz I am brand new here.. Firstly created blockchain wallet and came here.. Knows nothing about it and I decided to join a signature campaign .. But cannot find for newbie .. Please suggest me a campaign to join.  Huh

So you came to Know about blockchain and Bitcoin and then came here, to earn Bitcoins. If I guess correct you think signature campaign will help you earn or you are looking to start one. If you want to earn make some good posts, then look out for the newbie ones. Make sure you do not spam. Stay clean, you want to start always escrow and hire campaign managers. Make sure you read the requite on signature campaign.
9410  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Doubling bitcoins??? on: January 04, 2017, 10:57:24 AM
Seriously! Why would you even look at such sites. I immediately close the minute they open up. Of course it's a scam. The address they post is their own address to attract the users and it's not good, newbies put their money and then they get sad it's gone. There is no magic tricks. It's Hyip avoid this. Ps if there was a trick all members here would be rich.
9411  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Just Reached An All-Time High On BTCC's CNY Exchange on: January 04, 2017, 07:28:52 AM
The rise and rise of Bitcoin, but I would suggest to sell and make profits and then buy at every dip. It's difficult to see it that it will sustain. I do hope it does. But makes more sense to book profits. But then if you don't need cash, hold for higher gains. But loving this rise, let it never come down. Sell only if you need money, or hold for more profits.
9412  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I Have A Unique & Awesome Idea For a New Bitcoin Website, But I Need Help. on: January 03, 2017, 04:23:44 PM
So you want a unique idea and want some one to help you hmm, I think you should move this to service section. Keep some reward for the best idea that you like, escrow the fund. Then keep a price you shall pay for the site creation. Escrow it also. When there is reward, people will get more creative and you will finally get good help. This service you want should be paid for, rather then ask for free.
9413  Economy / Gambling / Re: PRIMEDICE COMPROMISED on: January 03, 2017, 02:53:56 PM
It's really sad to see this happening with you and I can understand the pain of loosing btc, but I don't think primedice would be compromised. Let's give you benefit of doubt you are legit, what I would suggest is keep trying contact the admin and there's a official thread here of primedice post this there also. Contact the Op there also, they normally respond. And primedice is heavily understaffed, they have often said it, if your claim is legit keep contacting them, normally for their faults they do include a small bonus, hope you get both your money and bonus. Just keep patience.
9414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy 8th Birthday Bitcoin on: January 03, 2017, 02:42:08 PM
Happy birthday Bitcoin and Mr Satoshi where ever you are, you are the reason why many of us are making a good part time income. 8 years where did the time flow, a coin available at 10 cents ignored by most and now at 1000+$ soughted by all. Ironic isn't it. Wonder if there is any person in this thread who bought it at 10 cents and has yet have few, Mr Richie rich do show up. Let's keep up the Bitcoin name always going high and only high.
9415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-$ price yells for a new hack on: January 03, 2017, 02:13:44 PM
There was a hack announced on the forum today itself read it. Normally it's usual for this hacks to come during prices going up. It's normally the hand of the insider, who does it. And then they cry we got hacked. One of the members has already given a warning to remove funds from the exchanges and be safe this time round. Make your you do not leave money on exchanges.
9416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin transactions - Slow OR Fast on: January 03, 2017, 10:16:43 AM
I had my first super slow experience on Monday when I the coins showed pending in my account. I knew it would confirm in a few hours, so I kept waiting and waiting and nearly 48 hours later it took place. This was the slowest transaction that happened with me. Really was surprised that it took so long, but was glad that it finally did come. Though on other occasions it normally happens really quickly. Any one else had such slow transaction from Monday?
9417  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: KeepKey 30 BTC reward for capturing the hacker ! on: January 03, 2017, 06:55:48 AM
As you might already know , KeepKey emails has been hacked on the christmas day.
Hardware wallet manufacturer KeepKey is offering 30 Bitcoins ($30,400) as a reward for the capture of a hacker who gained access to emails and customer information on Christmas Day.

If you are up to the job , you can read more details on cointelegraph or contact them.

If I I remember correct there was a post here just before or around Christmas that hackers are coming and indeed they did come. Let's assume that the hacking was genuine, what ways are actually there for normal people like us to track them down. How do we believe that it won't be a insider job, they could have done it claimed insurance if any and then say we were hacked, normally it happens right it's always the insider person. But it's sad if such hacks continue, people just want easy money and here we spend time earnings satoshi's, hate hacking
9418  Other / Meta / Re: I hate this forum on: January 03, 2017, 06:40:04 AM
I think you should leave no I am not saying cause you are saying against signature campaigners, but with barely 5 posts you have decided that signature campaigners are spamming, if you are not aware let me tell you this forum is very active and equally strict. They do not allow spam and lets say someone does that person is reported to the campaign manager and he is chucked out of the campaign , oh by the way not all posts are paid for, only if the post is constructive then only it's paid. One more point which I also had asked, you often will see people wearing signature but THEY ARE NOT PART OF THE CAMPAIGN, they just wear it. So if you understand the point, stay learn from this forum, you want to crib leave.
9419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting payment unanonymously on: January 02, 2017, 04:26:55 PM
Hi.. I want to know if there is any way one can accept payment in bitcoins without the payer knowing whom he is sending money. Is there any way the payer can find out whom did he pay by sending a mail to the website owner or smthng..

You can send few dollars to me then you will reliaze how this works. First go make a wallet, it will generate you a address. Then click on send button, the other party will also give you a Adress and there you need to deposit. If you want to try it, let me know I will send you address but you won't know who I am. Now if you are wondering if a xys user name is here and you want to send him or trade with him without knowing keep reading his posts for his address. Or provide Lil more details, if your answer is not yet given.
9420  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think BTC will hit 2000 USD feb 17 on: January 02, 2017, 02:32:17 PM
Firstly have this topic moved to speculation board. Coming to your question you are expecting a 1000$ jump. I don't see it happening, as there are no signs that says it will shoot so fast. Long term year end why not. Until some major event happens then you never know. Post Jan 20 when trump takes office will be interesting to see his policies that can affect global. Markets and increase prices.
