-wifi slow- Anyone who knows what to do?
Use cable? There have been reports that a single S3 is slower via WiFi. Its basically a WiFi problem, since you cant get the data to the miners fast enough. Cable shouldnt not have that problem. Even a single cable with a simple hub at the end should work better.

Hayy @all Lese jetzt knapp 3tage schon über Bitcoin.
![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

-snip- What the fuck. Well I guess his luck had to turn at one point in time.
3 losses in a row on 49.5% is not uncommon. Chance is ~12% if Im not mistaken.

Ok, I specify that all my past transactions appear in the "Transactions" of the new version Bitcoin CORE window, but the money is still 0, since we are still in the process of "re-indexing of the blocks on the disk ".
It will take a while to update the balance. When re-indexing is done you should have your full balance. Ok thank you very much. I did a "cut and paste" File "wallet.dat" only on a USB key. Is it not necessary to copy other files in C:\Users\VINCENT\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin as "blocks" "chainstate" File, "database", "peerst.dat", "db", "debug"?
wallet.dat is all you need. Well and remember your password ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Do not cut while bitcoin core is running. Make a copy

-snip- Wow you guys are great, the Bitcoin client finished updating and everything seems to be exactly as you both described.
It was very unsettling that my main address balance was smaller than expected. So many things I don't know about this protocol.
Can you explain this to me: I actually keep my main address as a watch-only address on Blockchain.info. I have made MANY payments using blockchain.info where i simply paste in my private key when i want to use Bitcoin from that address. I typically do not use my laptop Bitcoin-QT client for payments. In this type of case, when i use Blockchain.info where does my Change go??
AFAIK blockchain.info sends it back to the same address it came from. E.g. this one [1] was most likely done via blockchain.info. As you can see you send 7.7397 back to the address the coins came from. Btw: since you imported your private key to bc.i its no longer a watch only address, only they have a way to wipe the key after you use it. Thank you very much for your help. He said that my wallet is out of sync. It says "re-indexing of the blocks on the disk." I hope he will find the contents of my wallet.?
If you moved the wallet.dat (as in it was no longer there when you installed the update) you have a freshly generated wallet. Just wait till the client finished the sync, close it and replace the wallet.dat [1] with your backup. If you now start the client again with -rescan it should have all your TX and coins. If you copied the wallet.dat or made a backup from within the client you just need to wait for the sync to finish. [1] https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directory#Default_Location

You do realize that these numbers are just an estimate, right? Thats just the number of notes that are reachable from a certain point.

Sorry aber Dein "Screenshot" sieht bei mir nach Kraut und Rüben aus. Dazu ist dann auch noch alles in Eur angegeben. Kannst Du nochmal schreiben was Du wohin gesendet hast und wieso Dich das stört?

I own 1Ahmrza4Zg1BAQGKeDCrLsSiWxNGHuysku
I sent 2 BTC to the address 1JEXBpcFMBGDXRVvZedTJnC1DzJA7VrCqM, which is an exchange.
I have no idea what the other 5+ BTC is or how it got in this txn....
Are you sure that you do not also "own" 1KBYU5bdt8ngYCNV4FXuNqESv8V3is5ms3 as that would make it one of your change addresses. Its not possible (under normal circumstances) to change transactions that have allready been broadcasted. So if you indeed broadcasted that you want to spend 2 BTC to 1JEX from 1Ahmr it makes sense that 1KBYU is your change address. Does the "balance" on your bitcoin qt still make sense? If it was only reduced by 2 BTC turn "Coin Control" on to see possible inputs under "send". You should find the 5.7... BTC there. Edit: -snip- what does this mean:
"They paid a 0.000001 BTC transaction fee, and the remaining 5.739699 BTC was sent as change back into their own wallet at address 1KBYU5bdt8ngYCNV4FXuNqESv8V3is5ms3"
That address is not mine and i do not know anything about it.
Bitcoin core/qt handles change addresses internally. You usually do not have to worry about it. The background is that you have to spend an input entirely. If you have an input of 7 BTC and want to send 2 BTC you will get 5 BTC on a "new" address. Its not actually new, the client manages more addresses than it is showing you.

Id suggest updating to the latest version. Make sure you backup your wallet.dat somewhere safe first, just in case. You can keep all the data in, just install "over" it, so you dont have to download the blockchain again.

The rollercoster continues. 20 BTC up now. Not sure who lost, but propably r2w.
|
|
|
The entire Bitcoin folder after backing up wallet.dat from inside it, to somewhere secure such as a flash drive that you later plan to erase.
Why do you advise OP to redownload the whole blockchain? If you think the blockchain data is a problem (which makes sense since the error clearly states: database error) -reindex can fix that without redownloading ~20 Gigs of data.

dunno about free hugs but free satoshis would be good
Seeing that you get paid for posting you allready got your free Satoshi. Have a hug anyway: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fshopofenlightenment.com%2Fforum%2Fimages%2Fsmilies%2Fth_smiley_hug2.gif&t=663&c=h9cf7hVFE8_HrQ)

Are you missing TX or blocks?
If your are missing some TX but have the blocks, run it with -rescan
If you are missing blocks try -reindex.

AFAIK is makes no longer sense for the spammers, thus it should be only a matter of time. Backlinks from Forum spam will actually rank your website down. Not sure about the exact date, but I think they changed that earlier this year.
Adding rel=nofollow wouldnt hurt though. Might remove the posts from those users that only post links (even the spambots have more text usually)

Are you serious? Bitcoin core is unoperative unless you have a shit ton of ram.
Yeah it eats ~600MB of ram and barely runs on that old dualcore machine with 2Gigs ram total. /sarcasm. Bitcoin core runs fine, even on old machines.

So you are asking which is less likely to get infected? [a] RasPi (cold storrage) & Win7/8 (Hot storrage) vs. [c]* RasPi (cold) & Dedicated (Linux) machine with Electrum (Hot) Since most viruses or trojans nowadays rely on userinteraction [c] is more secure. Yes, even Windows is on a securitylevel that makes an infection without interaction from the user very unlikely. If you are willing to make the sacrifice in money (need an extra machine) and comfort (need to boot that extra machine everytime you want to spend money) aswell as time (need to setup that extra machine) [c] is the way to go. I assume here that you have a reasonable amount to protect. IMHO its overkill for 1 btc, unless you enjoy setting up systems ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) * I wanted to use [a] and but since thats short for bold, its c now.
