9461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is possible that bitcoin will use nowadays in cash less transaction? on: September 12, 2020, 10:53:45 AM
Use less cash and say that people use Bitcoin is unreasonable as there are many services from other money transfer apps. Bitcoin is just a form of money transfer, your reasoning is inconclusive.
And not all countries allow bitcoin as a means of payment. In our country, there is no regulation on bitcoin and nobody uses bitcoin for payment as it is banned. We can only negotiate with each other over Bitcoin.

Yeah, people who keep saying that obviously have never actually tried going out and using Bitcoin to do shit. I'm living in I guess what one might call first world now and it's hard enough getting some shops to accept a pin instead of cash, never mind whipping out my phone and asking if they accept Bitcoin!

Forget cashless first and focus on using it online instead. Then work your way up with LN in places that are already cashless.

Watford were good for the win, but I took a quick look at their lineup and realised then why they were over 2/1 to win, almost a completely different team save Foster in goal. Tough, very tough, but I'll keep backing them to go up (7/1 to win Championship even!).

ANYWAY today is the first day of English Premier League, and a NEW SEASON begins for me!
So, final tally for Season 2 after yesterday's loss stands at:
435 bets
73W|362L (20% win haha)
+12,916.15 UNITS!

Final Numbers for Season 2 (25 June 2019 to 11 September 2020):
1. Starting bankroll: 10,000 units
2. Ending bankroll: 22,916 units (122.9% profit)
3. Total Bets: 435 (73W|362L) for a 20% win rate
4. Total Units Gained from Odds Advantage: 14,971 (An average of 34.41 units per bet!)

I'll update that into OP as well, but we keep a running tally of Cumulative units gained.
==============================================

And to kick it all off, Sportsbet have a great, great 10/1 parlay for Liverpool's front three to all net a goal so that's my pick for the day. Call me stupid but opening day and Klopp and Liverpool love each other.

Today I am really surprised as most of members plays Lyonnais to win against Bordeaux because there was chance of draw and this happen so 1 lost already in all slips.

Actually, if I wasn't so intent on picking no draws, I'd definitely have picked the draw for Lyon/Bordeaux. In fact, between the two, I picked Bordeaux more times to win in Ligue 1 (and have been happier than most). They're the team I pick for a home win when 3/1 or more, sort of like the Spurs 3/1 home wins I'd pick any day haha.

2/1 or below, they almost certainly disappoint=p
9464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bithumb In Trouble, Police Raids Exchange for Second Time In One Week on: September 11, 2020, 03:17:22 PM
Not sure what to make of this news. Not going to read too much into it as Bithumb's never a consideration but I always assumed them to be one of the biggest if not the biggest in East Asia (minus Japan) and weren't they even the first to get the state license to do business?

I've always stuck to the rather less prominent ones, but PSD2 licensed and available to get me home in my native currency fits me well.
9465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Millennial Generation Investors Prefer Bitcoin Over Gold on: September 11, 2020, 02:15:59 PM
We all talking about them millenials but I wonder if most people on this forum are actually millenials? I mean I was born on the very tail end of Generation X and I know I am older than most people meet from "this space", or are they really all just interested in buying Bitcoin and leaving us Xers and Boomers to be the one doing discussions here? Haha.

How many of you were born between 1981 and 2000? You're a millennial! Wink

Thanks rdbase, JanPriX and jeremy! Still feeling pumped for this one, too bad PSG/Lens played too early or I'd have picked Lens in my MM haha. And no Jan, it was my first time. I did 12/15 in my second MM but I made the mistake of doing TWO picks argh!

Anyway my lovely picks this time, totally no draws because opening day madness!

Fantastic Steve, you keep spoiling us like this, thank you. This is going to be the easiest 10x this entire weekend guys =p

I've gone on and put down a bit more than my usual tenner, because well, Liverpool are WELL WORTH IT.

Also in on MMaster, Mmagic and SportsGuru. And if anybody still wants some of that Watford special magic: 5/1 on Over 7.5 corners, Over 1.5 goals, Over 2.5 yellows and Watford -0.5 handicap. What can I say? I'm all in.

^my eyes are on PSG today too, the price for this match is great, maybe caused by their problem with covid infected players, the self isolated are: Di Maria, Icardi, Marquinhos, Mbappe, Navas, Neymar and Paredes, but I still believe that PSG will win this one

Looks like we all missed out on a great upset from PSG. I did say after CL final that they could have a rocky start to their season (Teams either become very strong or very shaken by such a defeat, look at Spurs!). Too bad I totally missed the pick!

Anyway, Watford begin their season and I'm taking this lovely Sportsbet 5/1 pick:
Corners Over 7.5, Over 1.5 Goals, Yellow Cards Over 2.5, Handicap Watford -0.5

@BitSat Dejan's gone =p Trent and Robbo missing from defence? =p

Firmino, Salah & Mane to score any time. How are those odds looking?  Tongue
I think we’re going to teach Leeds a lesson & welcome them back to the PL with a proper beating Smiley

Can we get a special on this SB? I remember all 3 scored on Salah's debut opening season, and when they're all fit as they should be based on training pics, they're hard to beat. I just saw a 35 min special from Liverpool's IG profile showcasing all the goals involving the 3. Send shivers up my spine. And to think none of them were superstars when they arrived!
9470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 11, 2020, 05:31:31 AM
Club like Arsenal benefits from no crowds (no home pressure and they're mentally very affected by boos).
this made me laugh way more than it should lol 😂 🤣

I feel bad every time I say shit that's bad but true about them (with all due respect) and Spurs (sorry Gooners and Spurs bois).

nothing too crazy, a 3-0 for Villareal and a 2-2 between Alaves and Betis, rest of the games are mostly under 2.5 goals, although the Valencian derby (valencia-levante) could be a high scoring match, 4 out of their last 5 meetings ended with at least 4 goals

still debating whether to include La Liga matches on my weekend bet slips or not, i might skip matchweek 1 and wait until the Big 4 return (barca, real, ateltico, sevilla)

That's pretty crazy IMO but yeah, who knows? Opening day adrenaline. I'm also considering keeping my parlays this weekend to just Prem League and maybe Championship ones.

I lost a big parlay 2 days ago on Norwich/City Academies in EFL, it was 18/1 on their own but I HAD to go and pad it up with England haha. Their academies were so sprightly I wonder if their senior team is even fresher.

I bet if I spent more time watching La Liga my betting would grow exponentially (worrying!).
9471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New to bitcoin? Read this! on: September 10, 2020, 04:24:39 PM
I don't know how and when but you are on my ignore list @buwaytress, I don't remember ignoring someone here except spy100.

Anyways, I want to point out the legality and political interest of countries to bitcoin, the fact that every country has a unique government type shows how bitcoin is potentially adoptable. For some country like India or NK where crypto is highly doubted due to some possible 'threats' being seen the rest of the world is taking just fine with bitcoin which is good enough to be recognized.

I'm shattered, man, shattered. Why would you ignore me?Wink

Regarding the unique governments, yes, but in reality, it would take a very special type of government to be able to effectively ban Bitcoin if it chooses, and that would mean a government well in control of its citizens access to Internet and identities -- suggesting a small draconian country with huge resources.

But the small countries have seen, better for them to attract Bitcoin instead, and use it to their advantage, making it friendly while others reject it.

Hard to see a situation where there's more to gain from actively preventing Bitcoin. End of the day, it's about cost-benefit.

@BrewMaster @kryptnick, problem with all these surveys as well is very few have been done to the level of scientific or academic rigour one would hope to be able to derive useful information. Every survey's generally sponsored or skewed at least I'm sure.
9472  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Proud partner of Southampton FC 🚀 on: September 10, 2020, 02:04:01 PM
I lost my 1mb bet already, so stupid me I guess. I could have gotten away with a win on Toronto in MLS, but noooo, I had to parlay it with Los Angeles (FC). Why? Because I'm dumb.

I'm putting my freebet on a Liverpool market. Shitty odds on Moneyline so maybe Salah to score (he's scored every opening day so far!)? OR Firmino to score too, he's had some hell of a drought other than on final home game of last season, and no, friendlies don't count!
9473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New to bitcoin? Read this! on: September 10, 2020, 11:51:47 AM
Its funny to read my old post from 2017! For what it takes... I still stand for all the 6 points and some have already been proven by now!
Getting back to check it over a couple of years again Grin

I don't necessarily agree with everything you said, or at least not in the way you said it, but I can definitely agree on the "you and me" sentiment and "no right no wrong time" sentiment. As much as I'm wholeheartedly for Bitcoin, I'm not "all-in" simply because I'm not a lonely rock on this planet and must still live and eat with dollars etc, but yes, I can't see a day I'm alive where I'll give up on this ideal, and I'm happy to see others on that same page (even if it's a huge page with many points of differing ideas). Worth 1 merit to see you come back and see an old post from 2 years ago!

I've been playing a little bit on the friendlies and not doing well at all, not that it's anything to go by!

Have a feeling we'll see quite high scores in some games, and then a couple of 0-0s in the first week. I'm still playing around with my picks though, hope Atalanta retains their momentum but personally want to see Lazio pushing for it with a very fit Lucas Leiva bossing the midfield!

Horrible parlay in the end, I have no idea what I'm doing, do I?

Mixing it up today with some 1st half over/unders, hoping for high-energy Chinese games and then pad it off with what should be an easy PSG win and Seattle thumping? Insurance!

9476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 10, 2020, 06:30:35 AM
Yeah I actually think the no crowd thing works for clubs who play differently under pressure, and for clubs who feed off their supporters. So in general the big clubs actually lose out because they have a mentality that plays well at home, and plays better when the crowd is booing them.

Club like Arsenal benefits from no crowds (no home pressure and they're mentally very affected by boos).

So for now, I'm betting purely on how they performed towards the end of last season without crowds. Anyone go for big scores this Week 1?

9477  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 1,500 restaurants in France start accepting bitcoin payments through Just Eat!!! on: September 10, 2020, 05:28:48 AM
I believe the reason why it took JustEat a lot of time before they add Bitcoin payment to their services in France is because of the statement once said by the French Central Bank (Banque de France) that Bitcoin should not be considered as a means of payment but the pandemic seems to switch things in favor of cryptocurrency.

That didn't stop 5,000+ French tabacs selling Bitcoin though! Though I suppose selling Bitcoin and accepting it as payment are legally two different things...

Same, bitcoin isn't a currency that you can spend anytime and anywhere, it's an asset that gives you a chance to earn a profit when price value surged.

Gonna save all of that bitcoin and sell it when it is already profitable. What if there are circumstances where you bought food by using bitcoin then suddenly the price goes high, definitely gonna regret it.

Speak for yourself =p Bitcoin's an experiment for me, still, even with all my belief and invested time in it. I earn what I can, save what I can, but I also want to spend it and use it to live. Worse case scenario Bitcoin dies (hey, possible), at least I can look back on all those pizzas paid for with a small slice of history;)

Upon checking my email i found that there is a 1mbtc free bet promo called "Saintly Offer" currently live at Sportsbet.io
You have to place a bet equal or over 1mbtc (1.5 min odds) and you will receive a free bet for Southampton's opener on Saturday against Crystal Palace.
Don't forget to opt-in, full details can be seen here: https://sportsbet.io/promotions/epl-season-2020

SWEET. I wasn't planning on doing anything today but I opted in and dumped 1mBTC on a parlay in MLS. Just because I like it. And well, because I have a parlay already lost on the first leg (thank you, Shandong for only managing to draw).

Nice way to start the weekend! Lining up all my bets ha ha.
9479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for salary on: September 09, 2020, 04:17:56 PM
Maybe it's just easier to forget about all that complication, and request for a slight modification to the employment contract that only adjusts the mode of payment. Done this many times over the years especially in countries with volatile fiscal economy. Contract simply choose a currency agreed on by both parties, with a clause that accepts a flexible mode of payment.

Then you go through Bitwage, and choose any percentage to be converted to btc at the rate during exchange. It's just a roundabout way of buying bitcoin at dollar cost average really.

Apologies if already suggested, didn't see it on the pages I skimmed through.

Superbru will always inform you with picks you need to make in any changes. And, from the Dashboard, you will be alerted how many picks you have to make in the next 24 hours and next 72 hours (there will be an exclamation mark in red to alert you). PLUS you will get an email with a direct link to make your picks.

That happened last season with Champions League rescheduling, so no worries about that!
