9481  Economy / Speculation / Re: Drug Money and the Rise and Rise of Bitcoin on: October 23, 2017, 08:59:08 AM
I love google: https://www.google.com/search?q=how+much+money+does+drug+cartel+make
it tells me they are making $39 billion in a year and that is for 2008 (2009 reporting last year). the volume that goes in and out of bitcoin is not even close to that number.
if 30-40 billion dollar were to be injected in bitcoin, price would have been at $1,000,000 already. not to mention that all the drug lords would have been behind bars since all their money could have been traced easily.

But hear this, not all that 39 billion will be going in Bitcoin, just enough to keep making it rise to new ATH.  If banking executives at the top help launder the cartels' money, it wouldn't be too farfeched to have an exchange (BTCe) used by money launderers (that Alex guy) to get drug money in and out of BTC.

There's even a rumor back in the day that Litecoin was being used to launder Yuan.

Lol at the comments about needing Rooney.  You guys are just making that up right?  Man United def missed Paul Pogba, not Rooney.  The needed that range passing in the midfield, and the attacking prowess as well.

Before they even make that statement about Manchester United missing Rooney, they should ask themselves what impact has Rooney made at Everton since he moved there, absolutely nothing at all. Even when Pogba was out injured, Fellaini filled in for him perfectly and knowing full well that both goals were defensive mistakes, I'd say we miss Bailly even more than the midfield duo who are currently out injured.

I wasn't solely talking about the game vs Huddersfield, I mean more in general, United needs Pogba more than Rooney (lol why was he even in the picture?).

On another note, 'Koeman Sacked' in 3...  2...

I thought this card was kinda meh, but when I saw the result of the main bout I wish I did watch it.  And I honesly wasn't even supposed to be bothered posting the results but look...  Lol.  I think Cerrone needs to retire now.

9484  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Crash! on: October 22, 2017, 01:01:40 PM
There's always a threat of a big crash but I don't think it's gonna be to a three or four year low or a dooms day scenario.  Bitcoin isn't gonna be going away anytime soon guys, so keep buying while you still can.

The drug cartels and the criminal underground are prolly saying:  'There's billions more where that came from.  Fasten your seat belts!'

This is the sh*ttiest week for me.  I def don't think that I'll be able to chase the top 5 now.  Good luck to the rest.  Anybody wanna do any side bets on who's gonna win the betting pool tho?

You can have the first pick.  We bet .01 BTC each.  The offer is limited til the next two weeks.  Smiley

WTFFFFFF!!!  3 - 2.  Azpilicueta goal.

Edit:  4 - 2.  Lol.
9490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk English Premier League pool betting Discussion Thread on: October 21, 2017, 12:42:37 PM
2-1 is actually a good average score to pick. There were two 2-1 results last week so that would have got you 80 points alone. I have the Chelsea game 2-1 and it's currently 1-1 at half time so hopefully it'll come in. Could see Chelsea getting another 2 though.

Nope, sorry.  It's Watford 1 - 2 now.  I was hoping 1 - 1 would hold as that's my prediction for the betting pool.  But made a bet for Watford +1 at 2.45 at Nitrogen as well, so still good.

You watching the game Hilarious?  Really good game, high tempo...

Edit:  Another clear goal that missed for Watford.  Should be 1 - 4 now.
9491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SIA under 60 satoshis on: October 21, 2017, 10:43:12 AM
I am definitely "crying" right now because when I bought SIA, it was just above 105. I thought to myself at the time, hey if it even goes back to 150, I make a nice 45% profit almost. Now, I'm more than 45% in loss. I have no idea when these alts will ever recover. I think a lot of us people are completely regretting giving up our Bitcoins for alts. Sure, we did not lose much fiat value because BTC is just upping, but we lose profits, and we will lose Bitcoin Gold.

You will cry some more as BTC looks like it's gonna go super nova and break 10k USD by the end of this year.  The rise will impact all altcoins negatively in BTC value for sure unless they too rise in fiat value.

The crypto to hold today is Bitcoin.
9492  Other / Meta / Re: On Cleaning Up the Gambling Discussion Section on: October 21, 2017, 10:23:14 AM
I'd rather that entire section be trashcanned to be honest, but that whole board is just a symptom of signature campaigns forcing users to make posts in the Gambling section so they just create every possible topic they can possibly think of. At the very least non-bitcoin related threads such as that one you mentioned shouldn't be permitted.

Hmmm...  Not the reaction I was looking for.  Lol.  But for now, can we at least segregate the 'Is gambling a sin' threads from the sports betting threads?

And maybe it's better to lock sports threads at the end of each season, and start new ones at the start of the new season?
9493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: October 21, 2017, 10:12:09 AM
Fp1+Fp2  gp Usa top 10 times:

1 Hamilton Mercedes 1:34:668
2 Verstappen Red Bull +0:397
3 Vettel Ferrari              +0:524
4 Bottas Mercedes       +0:611
5 Ricciardo Red Bull     +0:795
6 Raikkonen Ferrari       +0:846
7 Alonso McLaren        +1:636
8 Massa Williams         +1:792
9 Perez Force India      +1:813
10 Ocon Force India     +1:822

Hamilton has dominated today and seems to be the great favorite of this race.
he wants to try to win the world championship already in this gp.

Looking good for Hamilton.  This is part of the season that gets boring.  We already know who's gonna win both the driver's and constructor's championship.

Notice how the sports media hypes the last couple of races by saying Vettel is 'still mathematically in the championship'.  Pffft, please...  Cheesy
9494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 21, 2017, 10:00:31 AM
It's more like Ancelotti needs to retire from club management and start looking at international management before retiring for real.  Both he and Wenger's management style are the same, loose and laissez faire.  Maybe that was good back in the day, but in recent times a hands on approach like Pep, Mourinho and Klopp is the way to go.
9495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: October 21, 2017, 09:26:26 AM
These are my EPL bets for this weekend.  As usual, follow at your own risk guys.  Good luck.  Wink

Chelsea vs Watford.  Watford to win, +1 at 2.45.  I have a good feeling that it could be a draw, but the +1 is a good for insurance.

Swansea vs LCFC.  Swansea to win +0 at 2.02.

Tottenham vs Liverpool.  Tottenham to win -.5 at 2.19.  Sorry Klopp, you have a soft spot in my heart but Poch will go for the jugular.

What do you guys think?

And Man City's game vs Burnley should be awesome.  Flair vs physicality.

I'm not quite sure for Chelsea vs Watford match, I think Chelsea will win big on their home games against Watford. Chelsea last match was lose and they need this win. For Tottenham vs Liverpool, this is a big match and I prefer bet on over corner kicks for this match. I'm afraid it will ended with draw no goal.

I think Chelsea will not be easy to beat Watford especially now that his opponent is right above them in the standings and it is worth to us understand that Watford this season deserve to be reckoned although still at the beginning of the season. So it is with Tottenham and Liverpool I do not think the match between the two teams will end in a draw because if viewed from the performance of Liverpool in European level a few days ago I am sure they will be able to beat Tottenham if they play consistently like the previous game.

We'll see.  I have a good feeling for a Watford win vs a Kante-less Chelsea.  Moses is out too and Bakayoko could be out as well.  That midfield should pretty easy for Marco Silva's squad to exploit.  Yup...  Sorry to the Chelsea fans in advance.  Grin

9497  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is heading to $10,000, CNBC survey says on: October 20, 2017, 12:49:10 PM
The survey doesn't really say much except that it's pretty easy to spot that BTC is indeed going to 10k USD.  Try changing 10k to 100k USD then let's see who really thinks there's more craziness coming.

A couple of years ago not one regular person outside of the space would say BTC could reach 10k USD.  Maybe only the crazy
ones.  Grin

Interesting the situation of the 2 Italian coaches Ancelotti and Conte, their destinies could be intertwined!

If Ac Milan sends away  Montella, it is very likely that one of these 2 coaches will be taken to bring the Ac Milan back to the top.
Ancelotti could also return to Chelsea.
Conte could also go to Psg (ex team of Ancelotti).

Ancelotti to Chelsea?  No way.  That's like going backwards.  I think Abramovic would hire either Luis Enrique or Thomas Tuchel.  They're two of the best managers in Europe who are jobless right now.

Ancelotti needs to retire imho.

If true mourinho will get a contract extension for 5 years. interesting to see what will happen in manchested united in the future. must be admitted mourinho is indeed one of the best managers in the world. for £ 13m per season, I think he will be one of the highest paid managers in the world
In my opinions, he really deserves the amount that he is receiving at the moment he has really transformed these band of losers into trophy winning winning materials and he did all that just in first season. But he is equal with Pep Guardiola with the same earnings.

Mourinho is a cheque book manager, he can’t win without spending huge sums. Man Utd were pathetic against Liverpool yesterday. Man City will win the title by a long way this season.
If Jose Mourinho is a cheque book manager, the same can be said of Pep Guardiola, even at Barcelona where he had the likes of Messi, Iniesta and Xavi at their prime he still bought a lot of players, he did the same at Bayern Munich as well and he is doing it again at Manchester City.

In Pep's defense he brought style to Man City.  And if you noticed, he's been mostly using the players of last season.  Except for Kyle Walker.  The squad just needed to deeply learn Pep's tactics.
